Scientists discover new, 3rd form of magnetism that may be the 'missing link' in the quest for superconductivity
Jan 31, 2025
Researchers have obtained the first conclusive evidence of an elusive third class of magnetism, called altermagnetism.
Their findings, published Dec. 11 in the journal Nature, could revolutionize the design of new high-speed magnetic memory devices and provide the missing puzzle piece in the development of better superconducting materials.
"We have previously had two well-established types of magnetism," study author Oliver Amin, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Nottingham in the U.K., told Live Science.
"Ferromagnetism, where the magnetic moments, which you can picture like small compass arrows on the atomic scale, all point in the same direction.
And antiferromagnetism, where the neighboring magnetic moments point in opposite directions - you can picture that more like a chessboard of alternating white and black tiles."
Electron spins within an electrical current must point in one of two directions and can align with or against these magnetic moments to store or carry information, forming the basis of magnetic memory devices.
Altermagnetic materials, first theorized in 2022, have a structure that sits somewhere in between. Each individual magnetic moment points in the opposite direction as its neighbor, as in an antiferromagnetic material.
But each unit is slightly twisted relative to this adjacent magnetic atom, resulting in some ferromagnetic-like properties.
Altermagnets, therefore, combine the best properties of both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic materials.
"The benefit of ferromagnets is that we have an easy way of reading and writing memory using these up or down domains," study co-author Alfred Dal Din, a doctoral student also at the University of Nottingham, told Live Science.
"But because these materials have a net magnetism, that information is also easy to lose by wiping a magnet over it."
Conversely, antiferromagnetic materials are much more challenging to manipulate for information storage. Because they have a net zero magnetism, however, information in these materials is much more secure and faster to carry.
"Altermagnets have the speed and resilience of an antiferromagnet, but they also have this important property of ferromagnets called time reversal symmetry breaking," Dal Din said.
This mind-bending property looks at the symmetry of objects moving forward and backward in time. "For example, gas particles fly around, randomly colliding and filling up the space," Amin said. "If you rewind time, that behavior looks no different.""
This means the symmetry is conserved. However, because electrons possess both a quantum spin and a magnetic moment, reversing time - and, therefore, the direction of travel - flips the spin, meaning the symmetry is broken.
"If you look at those two electron systems - one where time is progressing normally and one where you're in rewind - they look different, so the symmetry is broken," Amin explained. "This allows certain electrical phenomena to exist."
The team - led by Peter Wadley, a professor of physics at the University of Nottingham - used a technique called photoemission electron microscopy to image the structure and magnetic properties of manganese telluride, a material formerly believed to be antiferromagnetic.
"Different aspects of the magnetism become illuminated depending on the polarization of the X-rays we choose," Amin said.
Circularly polarized light revealed the different magnetic domains created by the time reversal symmetry breaking, while horizontally or vertically polarized X-rays allowed the team to measure the direction of the magnetic moments throughout the material.
By combining the results of both experiments, the researchers created the first-ever map of the different magnetic domains and structures within an altermagnetic material.
With this proof of concept in place, the team fabricated a series of altermagnetic devices by manipulating the internal magnetic structures through a controlled thermal cycling technique.
"We were able to form these exotic vortex textures in both hexagonal and triangular devices," Amin said.
"These vortices are gaining more and more attention within spintronics as potential carriers of information, so this was a nice first example of how to create a practical device."
The study authors said the power to both image and control this new form of magnetism could revolutionize the design of next-generation memory devices, with increased operational speeds and enhanced resilience and ease of use.
"Altermagnetism will also help with the development of superconductivity," Dal Din said.

The sensors used from XRS through Resolve were all based on silicon-thermistor thermometers and mercury telluride (HgTe) X-ray absorbers.
They used arrays consisting of 32 to 36 pixels, each of which was an independent quantum calorimeter. Between Astro-E and Astro-E2, a new method of making the thermistor was developed that significantly reduced its low-frequency noise.
Other fabrication advances made it possible to make reproducible connections between absorbers and thermistors and to fit each thermistor and its thermal isolation under its X-ray absorber, making square arrays feasible.
Through a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract executed after the Astro-E2 mission, EPIR Technologies Inc. reduced the specific heat of the HgTe absorbers.
Additional improvements made to the cooler of the detector heat sink allowed operation at a lower temperature, which further reduced the specific heat.
Together, these changes enabled the pixel width to be increased from 0.64 mm to 0.83 mm while still achieving a lower heat capacity, and thus improving the energy resolution.
From Astro-E through Astro-H, the energy resolution for X-rays of energy around 6000 eV improved from 11 eV, to 5.5 eV, to 4 eV. No changes to the array design were made between Astro-H and XRISM.
Over the same period, other approaches to quantum-calorimeter arrays optimized for the needs of future missions were developed.
The use of superconducting transition-edge sensors (TES) instead of silicon (Si) thermistors led to improved energy resolution, more pixels per array, and multiplexing (a technique that allows multiple signals to be carried on a single wire).
Quantum-calorimeter arrays with thousands of pixels are now standard, such as in the NASA contribution to the future European New Advanced Telescope for High-ENergy Astrophysics (newAthena) mission.
And quantum calorimeters using paramagnetic thermometers - which unlike TES and Si thermistors require no dissipation of heat in the thermometer for it to be read out - combined with high-density wiring are a promising route for realizing even larger arrays.
Results from Resolve
So, what is Resolve revealing about the Universe? Through spectroscopy alone, Resolve allows us to construct images of complex environments where collections of gas and dust with various attributes exist, emitting and absorbing X-rays at energies characteristic of their various compositions, velocities, and temperatures.
For example, in the middle of the galaxy known as NCG 4151 (see figure above), matter spiraling into the central massive black hole forms a circular structure that is flat near the black hole, more donut-shaped further out, and, according to the Resolve data, a bit lumpy.
Matter near the black hole is heated up to X-ray-emitting temperatures and irradiates the matter in the circular structure.
The Resolve spectrum has a bright narrow emission line (peak) from neutral iron atoms that must be coming from colder matter in the circular structure, because hotter material would be ionized, and would have a different emission signature.
Nonetheless, the shape of the iron line needs three components to describe it, each coming from a different lump in the circular structure. The presence of absorption lines (dips) in the spectrum provides further detail about the structure of the infalling matter.
A second example is the detection of X-ray emission by Resolve from the debris of stars that have exploded, such as N132D (see figure below), that will improve our understanding of the explosion mechanism and how the elements produced in stars get distributed, and allow us to infer the type of star each was before ending in a supernova.
Elements are identified by their characteristic emission lines, and shifts of those lines via the Doppler effect tell us how fast the material is moving.
These results are just the beginning. The rich Resolve data sets are identifying complex velocity structures, rare elements, and multiple temperature components in a diverse ensemble of cosmic objects.
Welcome to the quantum calorimeter era! Stay tuned for more revelations!

Work Is Under Way on NASA's Next-Generation Asteroid Hunter
Aug 28, 2024
NASA's new asteroid-hunting spacecraft is taking shape at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California.
Called NEO Surveyor (Near-Earth Object Surveyor), this cutting-edge infrared space telescope will seek out the hardest-to-find asteroids and comets that might pose a hazard to our planet.
In fact, it is the agency's first space telescope designed specifically for planetary defense.
Targeting launch in late 2027, the spacecraft will travel a million miles to a region of gravitational stability - called the L1 Lagrange point - between Earth and the Sun.
From there, its large sunshade will block the glare and heat of sunlight, allowing the mission to discover and track near-Earth objects as they approach Earth from the direction of the Sun, which is difficult for other observatories to do.
The space telescope also may reveal asteroids called Earth Trojans, which lead and trail our planet's orbit and are difficult to see from the ground or from Earth orbit.
NEO Surveyor relies on cutting-edge detectors that observe two bands of infrared light, which is invisible to the human eye.
Near-Earth objects, no matter how dark, glow brightly in infrared as the Sun heats them.
Because of this, the telescope will be able to find dark asteroids and comets, which don't reflect much visible light.
It also will measure those objects, a challenging task for visible-light telescopes that have a hard time distinguishing between small, highly reflective objects and large, dark ones.
"NEO Surveyor is optimized to help us to do one specific thing: enable humanity to find the most hazardous asteroids and comets far enough in advance so we can do something about them," said Amy Mainzer, survey director for NEO Surveyor and a professor at the University of California, Los Angeles.
"We aim to build a spacecraft that can find, track, and characterize the objects with the greatest chance of hitting Earth. In the process, we will learn a lot about their origins and evolution."
The spacecraft's only instrument is its telescope. About the size of a washer-and-dryer set, the telescope's blocky aluminum body, called the optical bench, was built in a JPL clean room.
Known as a three-mirror anastigmat telescope, it will rely on curved mirrors to focus light onto its infrared detectors in such a way that minimizes optical aberrations.
"We have been carefully managing the fabrication of the spacecraft's telescope mirrors, all of which were received in the JPL clean room by July," said Brian Monacelli, principal optical engineer at JPL.
"Its mirrors were shaped and polished from solid aluminum using a diamond-turning machine. Each exceeds the mission's performance requirements."
Monacelli inspected the mirror surfaces for debris and damage, then JPL's team of optomechanical technicians and engineers attached the mirrors to the telescope's optical bench in August.
Next, they will measure the telescope's performance and align its mirrors.
Complementing the mirror assembly are the telescope's mercury-cadmium-telluride detectors, which are similar to the detectors used by NASA's recently retired NEOWISE (short for Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer) mission.
An advantage of these detectors is that they don't necessarily require cryogenic coolers or cryogens to lower their operational temperatures in order to detect infrared wavelengths.
Cryocoolers and cryogens can limit the lifespan of a spacecraft. NEO Surveyor will instead keep its cool by using its large sunshade to block sunlight from heating the telescope and by occupying an orbit beyond that of the Moon, minimizing heating from Earth.
The telescope will eventually be installed inside the spacecraft's instrument enclosure, which is being assembled in JPL's historic High Bay 1 clean room where NASA missions such as Voyager, Cassini, and Perseverance were constructed.
Fabricated from dark composite material that allows heat to escape, the enclosure will help keep the telescope cool and prevent its own heat from obscuring observations.
Once it is completed in coming weeks, the enclosure will be tested to make sure it can withstand the rigors of space exploration.
Then it will be mounted on the back of the sunshade and atop the electronic systems that will power and control the spacecraft.
"The entire team has been working hard for a long time to get to this point, and we are excited to see the hardware coming together with contributions from our institutional and industrial collaborators from across the country," said Tom Hoffman, NEO Surveyor's project manager at JPL.

who are the rabbits?
Tellurium is a chemical element; it has symbol Te and atomic number 52. It is a brittle, mildly toxic, rare, silver-white metalloid. Tellurium is chemically related to selenium and sulfur, all three of which are chalcogens. It is occasionally found in its native form as elemental crystals. Tellurium is far more common in the Universe as a whole than on Earth. Its extreme rarity in the Earth's crust, comparable to that of platinum, is due partly to its formation of a volatile hydride that caused tellurium to be lost to space as a gas during the hot nebular formation of Earth.[9]
Tellurium-bearing compounds were first discovered in 1782 in a gold mine in Kleinschlatten, Transylvania (now Zlatna, Romania) by Austrian mineralogist Franz-Joseph M?ller von Reichenstein, although it was Martin Heinrich Klaproth who named the new element in 1798 after the Latin tellus 'earth'. Gold telluride minerals are the most notable natural gold compounds. However, they are not a commercially significant source of tellurium itself, which is normally extracted as a by-product of copper and lead production.
Commercially, the primary use of tellurium is CdTe solar panels and thermoelectric devices. A more traditional application in copper (tellurium copper) and steel alloys, where tellurium improves machinability, also consumes a considerable portion of tellurium production. Tellurium is considered a technology-critical element.[10]
Tellurium has no biological function, although fungi can use it in place of sulfur and selenium in amino acids such as tellurocysteine and telluromethionine.[11] In humans, tellurium is partly metabolized into dimethyl telluride, (CH3)2Te, a gas with a garlic-like odor exhaled in the breath of victims of tellurium exposure or poisoning.
Tellurium has two allotropes, crystalline and amorphous. When crystalline, tellurium is silvery-white with a metallic luster. The crystals are trigonal and chiral (space group 152 or 154 depending on the chirality), like the gray form of selenium. It is a brittle and easily pulverized metalloid. Amorphous tellurium is a black-brown powder prepared by precipitating it from a solution of tellurous acid or telluric acid (Te(OH)6).[12] Tellurium is a semiconductor that shows greater electrical conductivity in certain directions depending on atomic alignment; the conductivity increases slightly when exposed to light (photoconductivity).[13] When molten, tellurium is corrosive to copper, iron, and stainless steel. Of the chalcogens (oxygen-family elements), tellurium has the highest melting and boiling points, at 722.66 K (449.51 ?C) and 1,261 K (988 ?C), respectively.[14]

The four 500-pound (230 kg) Mk 82 bombs have not been found despite an exhaustive search involving metal detectors and ground-penetrating radar. The bombs were designed to survive a crash and the USAF expected to find them at the site. Furthermore, the aircraft's bomb racks were recovered in the wreckage, and they indicated that the bombs had not been released. Yet, more than four dozen witnesses reported hearing loud explosions in northern Arizona and near telluride and Aspen, Colorado. However, no evidence was found to support the idea that Button released the weapons where the explosions were heard. The Mk 82 bomb can throw fragments more than a mile (1.6 km), and the crash site was less than 4000 feet (1.2 km) from a deep alpine lake.

At the time of his death, Crown - who lived in Chicago but frequented Colorado - was the chairman emeritus of the board overseeing the Aspen Institute, which this week is hosting the Aspen Ideas Festival in Aspen. He was also a managing partner of Aspen Skiing Co.
He was the grandson of industrialist Henry Crown and served as director of General Dynamic Corp. and JPMorgan Chase.
NBC News once called Crown a member of former President Barack Obama's "inner circle." Obama appointed Crown in 2014 to serve on his intelligence advisory board. Then-First Lady Michelle Obama stayed at Crown's Aspen home in 2014 during a ski vacation.
The Crown family purchased half of Aspen Skiing Co. in 1985 and bought out other owners in 1993. In 2017 the family partnered with Denver's KSL Capital Partners to create Alterra Mountain Co. Aspen Skiing in recent years expanded into hospitality with its Limelight Hotels in Aspen, Snowmass, Denver and Ketchum, Idaho.
Aspen Skiing Co. in 2021 launched its Aspen X brand with branded retail and apparel created in part by James Crown's wife, Paula.
"The Crown family is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Jim Crown in an accident earlier today," Aspen Skiing Co. said in a written statement released Sunday. "The family requests that their privacy be respected at this difficult time. Further details regarding plans for a memorial to remember Jim's remarkable life will be released at a later date."
Crown is survived by his wife, as well as four children. He is also survived by his parents.
The Aspen Daily News reports Sunday was Crown's 70th birthday.
This is a developing story that will be updated.

The Spooks developed its "Project Stargate" and Remote Viewing Technology: The CIA's Files on Psychic Spying.
Stargate Project was a secret U.S. Army unit established in 1978 at Fort Meade, Maryland, by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and SRI International (a California contractor) to investigate the potential for psychic phenomena in military and domestic intelligence applications. The Project, and its precursors and sister projects, originally went by various code names - 'Gondola Wish', 'Stargate', 'Grill Flame', 'Center Lane', 'Project CF', 'Sun Streak', 'Scanate' - until 1991 when they were consolidated and rechristened as "Stargate Project".
Stargate Project's work primarily involved remote viewing, the purported ability to psychically "see" events, sites, or information from a great distance.[1] The project was overseen until 1987 by Lt. Frederick Holmes "Skip" Atwater, an aide and "psychic headhunter" to Maj. Gen. Albert Stubblebine, and later president of the Monroe Institute.[2] The unit was small scale, comprising about 15 to 20 individuals, and was run out of "an old, leaky wooden barracks".[3]
The Stargate Project was terminated and declassified in 1995 after a CIA report concluded that it was never useful in any intelligence operation. Information provided by the program was vague and included irrelevant and erroneous data, and there were suspicions of inter-judge reliability.[4]:?5-4? The program was featured in the 2004 book and 2009 film, both titled The Men Who Stare at Goats,[5][6][7][8] although neither mentions it by name. [Wiki].

"The Nen Who Stare at Goats" was a limited hangout book, later movie, created to muddy the waters of its very real Stargate Project.
The Best Remote Viewer
Ingo Douglas Swann (14 September 1933, telluride, Colorado[2] - 31 January 2013, New York City[3]) was an American psychic, artist, and writer known for being the co-creator, along with Russell Targ and Harold E. Puthoff,[4] of remote viewing, and specifically the Stargate Project….
…..
Early Coordinate Remote Viewing experiments
Edit
Targ and Puthoff write about their pilot experiments, "We couldn't overlook the possibility that perhaps Ingo knew the geographical features of the Earth and their approximate latitude and longitude. (It is Swann who suggests these Coordinate Remote Viewing tests, not the experimenters. He is in control.) "Or it was possible that we were inadvertently cueing the subject (Swann), since we as experimenters knew what the answers were."[29]
Soon Targ and Puthoff performed more experiments with Swann and the controls were tightened to eliminate the possibility of error. This time Swann was given the latitude and longitude of ten targets, in the end there would be ten runs, for a total of 100. Only the evaluations of the ten targets from the tenth run, the last, were disclosed. The results of the targets from the previous ninety (runs 1-9) are ignored. For the tenth run Swann had seven hits, two neutral and one miss. The experiments came to a close. Targ and Puthoff were positive "Something was happening, but they are not clear what it is."[30] (This method of selecting a small number of "guesses" from a larger, sometimes never disclosed larger number, is known as the free response method in remote viewing but could be called cherry picking.)[31][32][33] According to Swann and Stanford Research International, his RV was correct probably 95% of the time. His personally trained students' RV were 85% correct, 85% of the time.[34][35] See:Stargate Project
Swann's descriptions of Jupiter
Swann proposed a study to Targ and Puthoff. At first they resisted, for the resulting descriptions would be impossible to verify. Yet, on the evening 27 April 1973 Targ and Puthoff recorded Swann's remote viewing session of the planet Jupiter and Jupiter's moons,[36] prior to the Voyager probe's visit there in 1979.
Swann asked for 30 minutes of silence. According to Swann, his ability to see Jupiter took about three and a half minutes. In the session he made several reports on the physical features of Jupiter, such as its atmosphere and the surface of its core. Swann claimed to see bands of crystals in the atmosphere, which he likened to clouds and possibly like the rings of Saturn. The Voyager probe later confirmed the existence of the rings of Jupiter, although these rings are not in the planet's atmosphere.[37] However, Swann's claim that crystals are present in the atmosphere is supported by observations by NASA's Galileo spacecraft of clouds of ammonia ice crystals in the northwest corner of Jupiter's Great Red Spot.[38]
The following are Swann's own version of his statements from 1995, 22 years later than the 1973 experiments took place:[39]….

>GREEN NEW DEAL SCAMS
The earth only has enough battery minerals for a single generation, think about that.
And each of these half a million pounds of earth are dug up with a diesel engine.
Batteries, they do not make electricity - they store electricity produced elsewhere, primarily by coal, uranium, natural gas-powered plants, or diesel-fueled generators. So, to say an EV is a zero-emission vehicle is not at all valid.
Also, since forty percent of the electricity generated in the U.S. is from coal-fired plants, it follows that forty percent of the EVs on the road are coal-powered, do you see?"
But that is not half of it. For those of you excited about electric cars and a green revolution, I want you to take a closer look at batteries and also windmills, and solar panels.
A typical EV battery weighs one thousand pounds, about the size of a travel trunk. It contains twenty-five pounds of lithium, sixty pounds of nickel, 44 pounds of manganese, 30 pounds cobalt, 200 pounds of copper, and 400 pounds of aluminum, steel, and plastic. Inside are over 6,000 individual lithium-ion cells.
To manufacture each EV auto battery, you must process 25,000 pounds of brine for the lithium, 30,000 pounds of ore for the cobalt, 5,000 pounds of ore for the nickel, and 25,000 pounds of ore for copper. All told, you dig up 500,000 pounds of the earth's crust for one battery."
The main problem with solar arrays is the chemicals needed to process silicate into the silicon used in the panels. To make pure enough silicon requires processing it with hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrogen fluoride, trichloroethane, and acetone. In addition, they also need gallium, arsenide, copper-indium-gallium- diselenide, and cadmium-telluride, which also are highly toxic. Silicon dust is a hazard to the workers, and the panels cannot be recycled.
Windmills are the ultimate in embedded costs and environmental destruction. Each weighs 1688 tons (the equivalent of 23 houses) and contains 1300 tons of concrete, 295 tons of steel, 48 tons of iron, 24 tons of fiberglass, and the hard to extract rare earths neodymium, praseodymium, and dysprosium. Each blade weighs 81,000 pounds and will last 15 to 20 years, at which time it must be replaced. We cannot recycle used blades.

Kanye West and Jared Kushner get dinner in Miami, 'no business agenda'
Old pals Kanye West and Jared Kushner met up for what appeared to be a power dinner in Miami on Thursday night, but a source told Page Six that business was off the table.
"It was a purely private dinner," the insider exclusively told us. "No business agenda."
The billionaire rapper, 44, and the former White House senior adviser, 40, were photographed together as a masked employee let them out of the exit of the Italian celebrity hotspot Carbone in Miami Beach.
West wore a bright highlighter-yellow hoodie for the outing, while Kushner kept his look more subdued with a long-sleeve black sweater.
Carbone appears to be a favorite dining spot for West - who now goes by Ye. He took new fling Julia Fox to the Miami branch for their first date on New Year's Day, and the couple then dined at the New York location for their first rendezvous in the Big Apple.
However, it appears that the "Heartless" rapper left his new lady behind for his most recent trip down south. On Wednesday, a source told us that Fox was photographed outside of West's hotel in NYC just as West jetted off to catch a private flight.
The Yeezy CEO apparently had a boys' night in mind for his meetup with Kushner, as the investor's wife, Ivanka Trump, also was not present for the dinner Thursday.
Kushner previously revealed that he and West actually go way back.
After the pair got together in telluride, Colo., in August 2020, Kushner shared that he's been friends with the "Jesus Walks" rapper for more than a decade.
"Unlike others, I'm able to keep friendships across the aisle," he told Fox News at the time.
Kushner also gave a bit of insight into their friendship at the time, sharing that while they had discussed policy a bit, they also talked about a book on empowering black Americans that the music mogul had sent him.
"Kanye sent me a book about a month ago called 'PowerNomics' ... I read the book," the real estate developer said. "It was absolutely phenomenal, it actually incorporated a lot of the things that President Trump has been doing."
West has also been on friendly terms with Kushner's father-in-law, Donald Trump, and even received a lot of heat for wearing the former POTUS' signature "Make America Great Again" hat.

Did someone say CIA Contract FLIGHTS?
BARRY SEAL
Reminds me of Glen Frey's SMUGGLER'S BLUES
There's trouble on the streets tonight,
I can feel it in my bones.
I had a premonition,
That he should not go alone.
I knew the gun was loaded,
But I didn't think he'd kill.
Everything exploded,
And the blood began to spill.
So baby, here's your ticket,
Put the suitcase in your hand.
Here's a little money now,
Do it just the way we planned.
You be cool for twenty hours
And I'll pay you twenty grand.
I'm sorry it went down like this,
And someone had to lose,
It's the nature of the business,
It's the smuggler's blues.
Smuggler's Blues
The sailors and pilots,
The soldiers and the law,
The pay offs and the rip offs,
And the things nobody saw.
No matter if it's heroin, cocaine, or hash,
You've got to carry weapons
'Cause you always carry cash.
There's lots of shady characters,
Lots of dirty deals.
Every name's an alias
In case somebody squeals.
It's the lure of easy money,
It's gotta very strong appeal.
Perhaps you'd understand it better
Standin' in my shoes,
It's the ultimate enticement,
It's the smuggler's blues,
Smuggler's blues.
See it in the headlines,
You hear it ev'ry day.
They say they're gonna stop it,
But it doesn't go away. [CAUSE C.I.A.]
They move it through Miami, sell it in L.A.,
They hide it up in telluride,
I mean it's here to stay.
It's propping up the governments in Columbia and Peru, [WHO PROPS UP GUBBMENTS?]
You ask any D.E.A. man,
He'll say "There's nothin' we can do",
From the office of the President,
Right down to me and you, me and you.
It's a losing proposition,
But one you can't refuse.
It's the politics of contraband,
It's the smuggler's blues,
Smuggler's blues.

Reached by the Times for comment on his meeting with Kushner, the rap superstar took to Twitter.
"I'm willing to do a live interview with the New York Time [sic] about my meeting with Jared," he wrote on the social media platform, adding that they discussed "PowerNomics," a book about black empowerment by Dr. Claude Anderson.
The paper reported that West declined to elaborate on his meeting with the first son-in-law in a follow-up phone interview, but did "express anger about abortion rates among Black women" before saying he "didn't reflexively support Democrats."

Kanye West meets with Jared Kushner amid indications GOP operatives are pushing his campaign to hurt Joe Biden
What's going on here?
Kanye West, who is (kind of) running for president, reportedly met last weekend with White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's son-in-law, The New York Times reported.
After NYT reported on the meeting, West tweeted confirmation that he met with Kushner and offered to talk more about it publicly.
"I'm willing to do a live interview with the New York Times about my meeting with Jared where we discussed Dr. Claude Anderson's book Powernomics," West wrote on Twitter.
The meeting reportedly took place in Colorado, where West and his family have were camping and where Jared and Ivanka Kushner were traveling at the time. West flew to telluride to meet with the Kushners.
Why is this notable? West has a very public positive relationship with President Donald Trump, so under normal circumstances a meeting between West and Kushner might not draw much attention.
But, West is running for president, and there have been reports and indications that Republican operatives are supporting the independent campaign as a way to draw votes away from Democratic nominee Joe Biden. From ABC News:
At least six operatives who have been prominently involved in the Republican political world have been linked to Kanye West's captivating 11th-hour independent 2020 presidential bid.
As the rivalry between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden intensifies with less than three months to go until the election, the involvement of the operatives in West's campaign, some of whom have ties to Trump's camp, raises questions about the motives of those helping to put his name on the ballot.
West is running as an independent, but has said he would have run as a Republican if President Donald Trump wasn't running for reelection. His campaign, from the limited amount of information that has come from it, is overtly against the Democratic Party and anti-abortion.
"To say that the Black vote is Democratic is a form of racism and white supremacy," West said, according to ABC News.
Is this a real campaign? It seems to be a real campaign in some sense of the word, but it has not proven to be an effective or organized one. West has missed the deadlines to get on the ballot in numerous states, and in several states where he met the deadline, his paperwork and signatures were either incomplete or potentially fraudulent.

Oprah also has a cold-weather hideaway. She purchased 66 acres in coveted Mountain Village, CO, in 2014, for $10,850,000.
She apparently had a custom home constructed on the property, which sits above the ski town of telluride. But while it was being built, she reportedly bought a "temporary" home away from home to monitor the construction: a high-tech mansion in telluride for $13.7 million.
The contemporary construction offers complete privacy and direct trail access. The grounds include a treetop observation tower, a funicular, and a glass and steel bridge over the great room.

Seamair Farm Estate
In 2016, Oprah purchased a 23-acre horse farm estate for nearly $29 million at auction. "It's about three-quarters of a mile from the beach and up against the mountains, right in the heart of Montecito, where a lot of celebrities live," said Marty Rogers of Sage Auctions, who auctioned the property.
The "once in a lifetime" property is located between the Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific Ocean and hadn't been on the market for over 30 years when Winfrey purchased it.
Montecito Home #2
Two homes in Montecito clearly isn't adequate for Oprah WInfrey. Which is why she bought Jeff Bridges' former home that sits right inbetween her $50 million Montecito home and her Seamair farm estate in November 2019.
telluride Home
In 2014, Winfrey purchased this absolutely picturesque 8,700-square-foot home in telluride, Colorado. She paid $14 million for the mansion - completely furnished. According to the Los Angeles Times, the home once belonged to African art collector Bob Wall.
The five-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bathroom home sits on about 3.25 acres on the side of Mountain Village
Maui Home
We've reached the final home: her estate in Maui.
Oprah purchased 163 acres of property, which sits on the slopes of Mount Haleakala. While it's unclear how much she spent on the estate, an adjacent property went up for sale in 2016 for $32 million.

railroad faggots
just to make your digs WAY more complex, you need to look into Walter Bosley's "Empire of the Wheel" research. Gets into Airship Mystery and occult murders in San Bernardino in early 1800's.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, too. No shit.
* * *
If you've read Empire of the Wheel 2: Friends From Sonora then you are up to speed on the whole scenario I propose regarding the legendary and notorious Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid and their companion Etta Place. You already know that I have proposed Etta Place was a secular nun for an Episcopal order, likely one based in New York with posts in Texas, and was working undercover as a field asset – not an agent – for the US Secret Service. I also argue that she was assassinated in San Bernardino, California, on 18 Nov 1915 while probably still working for the Secret Service. The details and analysis are in the book, along with my theory about Butch and Sundance and their South American adventure. Again, refer to the book.
The question I am answering here is: Why did the Pinkerton men never catch Butch and Sundance?
Here's your answer: Because they were never supposed to catch them.
Look at the history: Alan Pinkerton founded a spy network for Abraham Lincoln during the US Civil War. That very network subsequently became the US Secret Service. Pinkerton founded and his sons went on to run The Pinkerton Detective Agency. My book already presents the fact that William Pinkerton, who was in charge of western operations during the time of Butch and Sundance's activity in the US, was known to have been a patron of the very same saloon in which Butch and the gang partied and were supposed to have met Etta Place. The book provides the details on that also. Essentially, I argue that William Pinkerton was generally aware that Etta was affiliated with the Secret Service and the implication is that the Pinkertons stood down. Remember, the railroads were very lucrative clientele for the Pinkerton agency and, as laid out in my book, there may have been railroad involvement in Butch and Sundance's activity. Pinkerton had more than one good reason to play ball if Etta and the boys were working undercover and I've already covered that this would account for them never being caught while in the US. But why were they not captured in South America?
Sauce: https://empireofthewheel.blogspot.com/2015/05/why-butch-sundance-etta-were-never.html
…
* * *
This book (Empire of the Wheel II: Friends from Sonora) connects a number of seemingly incongrous details of late nineteenth century western American history, including the Airship mystery, its mysterious connections to Germany, and even - get this - Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid, their highly unusual escape to South America to, get this, Rio Negro province of Argentina (yes, you read that correctly), and how all that connects to high financiers in the USA and Germany. It's a story that made my jaw drop when I read it, and trust me, I rarely read any book in one sitting.
Bosley admits his scenario is speculation, but I've rarely read dot-connecting - with a careful eye on details - like this, and Bosley's suggestion for the solution of the NYMZA mystery is to my mind probably the closest anyone is going to come to it. For those who don't know the story, NYMZA is the alleged secret society that was based in Germany in the 19th century (before the founding of the German Empire in 1871 in fact), that was supposedly one of the hidden sources of finance and other oversight for the development of the airships. (See my Covert Wars and Breakaway Civilizations).

There is Tellurium, element 52 being mined in the mountains of Iran. If you build a colony on the moon or Mars, or a spaceship, or space station, where do you get electricity? The sun.
Commercially, the primary use of tellurium is copper (tellurium copper) and steel alloys, where it improves machinability. Applications in CdTe solar panels and cadmium telluride semiconductors also consume a considerable portion of tellurium production. Tellurium is considered a technology-critical element.
That's what the Gold in the image symbolizes. That is why Trump made a big deal of the number 52.

Nor unsurprisingly, in light of the fact that Transylvania has some of the best Tellurium deposits, it was discovered in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, in 1782 by Franz-Joseph Müller von Reichenstein in a mineral containing tellurium and gold.
Martin Heinrich Klaproth named the new element in 1798 after the Latin goddess of the earth, Tellus. Tellurium was first discovered in the 18th century in a gold ore from the mines in Zlatna, near today's city of Sibiu, Romania.
Applications in solar panels and as a semiconductor material also consume a considerable fraction of tellurium production. Cadmium telluride (CdTe) solar panels using this material achieve some of the highest efficiencies for solar cell electric power generation.

telluride was mining
>
Play Video
To the prospectors and miners who arrived in the 1870s, however, the treasure was gold. The town began as a rugged mining settlement and soon had a hotel, opera house, brothels, gambling tables, saloons and banks. The mines shut down in the 1950s and, 20 years later, telluride was practically deserted.
https://westernmininghistory.com/towns/colorado/telluride/
>Gold was first discovered in Colorado near present-day Denver, setting off the Pike's Peak gold rush of 1858. (GEORGE HEARST)
>The Smuggler gold vein above telluride, and placer gold in the San Miguel River, were discovered in 1875.[7]:51,54 John Fallon made the first claim in Marshal Basin above telluride in 1875 and early settlement of telluride followed. The town itself was founded in 1878. telluride was originally named "Columbia", but due to confusion with Columbia, California, the name was changed by the post office in 1887.
The town was named after valuable ore compounds of the chemical element tellurium, a metalloid element which forms natural tellurides, the most notable of which are telluride ores of gold and silver.
>Around the turn of the 20th century, there were serious labor disputes in the mines near telluride. The Colorado National Guard was called out and there were deaths on both sides. Unions were formed as miners joined the Western Federation of Miners in 1896.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telluric_current
=The Pandora Mill=
is an impressive visual reminder of why telluride exists. Without the mining industry that flourished in the region, there would be no telluride and no historic district, and few of us would be here. Currently, Pandora Mill is in need of stabilization if it is to continue to be one of the region's most iconic historic structures. The roof is damaged and in desperate need of replacement, but with a new roof, the building will endure for many more years.

https://www.mountainliving.com/Homes/Oprah-Winfreys-New-Home-in-telluride-Colorado/
Seriously anons, does Oprah strike you as the kind of person who would own a home in the Colorado Mountains?
Well her home has a tunnel….
a 56 foot long wine cellar tunnel
A WINE-LOVER'S FANTASY
What better way to kick back, relax, and chat with your best friend Gayle than with an over-the-top wine cellar? And Oprah's new residence comes equipped with something a little bigger than what you'd call a cellar. The home has a-wait for it-56-foot-long wine tunnel, which holds 1,600 bottles of vino.
The wine cellar was designed to simulate the feeling of exploring an old historical mining tunnel, complete with water mists, sound effects, upcycled wood from an old Utah railroad trestle, and faux stone walls.
There is even a private steel funicular, crafted to mimic an old mining car. This totally gratuitous amenity carries 4 ski-clad people from the house to the Sundance Ski Run in one minute flat-and cost $240,000 to create. That might just be the most expensive one-minute ride to the slopes we've ever heard of!

>At 04 seconds in the Video Trumps says "telluride" not Tolerate or Tolerite.
It sounds more like tollure raided to me, but if you think it is telluride that I would look into telluride Colorado, famous ski resort in SW Co where Tom Cruise and Oprah have mansions.
Tom Cruise might be selling his telluride, Colorado, home, but Oprah Winfrey recently purchased 60 acres in telluride for $10.85 million. The property is just off Rocky Road and accessible only via Galloping Goose ski trail. In fact, in May of last year she was sued by a retired physicist concerned that Winfrey's "planned mega-mansion" would block access to hiking trails that residents have enjoyed for years. The lawsuit was later dismissed. (Everyone knows, you can't beat Oprah!) And sources say, Winfrey plans to build a mansion and guest house on the property. https://colistings.com/blog/posts/35-celebrity-homes-in-colorado
I heard years ago that telluride was the place rich Jewish (and I am not a Jew basher) parents sent their kids so they could live as ski bums and open little shops which no regular person could earn a living off of.

Bakes: WILD DIG TANGENT
Q+, telluride / 52 House of Cards, and BUTCH CASSIDY
Saw Butch Cassidy Drive in my telluride dig. Rang a bell, made me think of author/ex-FBI/ex-Mason Walter Bosley and his Empire of the Wheel Trilogy.
Seems as if Butch robbed his first bank in telluride on morning of June 24, 1889: "Butch Cassidy had just committed his first bank robbery, launching his career as a notorious Old West outlaw that would span two decades until his 1908 death in Bolivia. (Some historians, professional and amateur, claim Cassidy didn't die in Bolivia, but rather survived into the 1920s or '30s, and returned to the United States in disguise)." (sauce https://www.telluridenews.com/news/article_1dd3b724-4692-11e5-8a22-43699574b49a.html)
Bosley, investigating an early 1900's occult serial murders, eventually tied into the Airship Mystery of the 1800s-1900s (early field propulsion) AND Butch Cassidy.
"The airships mystery is an integral part of the mystery of who controls governance and resources on planet Earth. Bosley's experience in counterintelligence offers a unique window into these events and how they may relate to the high strangeness unfolding at the time. Murder, serial killers, Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, John Jacob Astor, Tesla, the sinking of the Titanic and the Lusitania - it's hard to imagine the threads that come together in this historical collision between big money and secret technology that Bosley describes in his Empire of the Wheel series." (https://stillnessinthestorm.com/2019/04/the-airship-mysteries-the-origins-of-the-breakaway-civilization-with-walter-bosley-w-video/)
Bosley himself ties in the US SECRET SERVICE.
"… proposed Etta Place was a secular nun for an Episcopal order, likely one based in New York with posts in Texas, and was working undercover as a field asset – not an agent – for the US Secret Service. I also argue that she was assassinated in San Bernardino, California, on 18 Nov 1915 while probably still working for the Secret Service. The details and analysis are in the book, along with my theory about Butch and Sundance and their South American adventure."
https://empireofthewheel.blogspot.com/2015/05/why-butch-sundance-etta-were-never.html
Have to dig this some more, but it seems as if Butch Cassidy was a good guy, maybe working for the USSS. Bank robber was a cover to investigate the evil doers. been a few years since I read the books. Will get back in and dig more.
Q / Q+, can you throw us a bone on this one? Out to lunch?

I live about an hour or so from telluride. So much truth in your post..
Billy Koch's built a small western town, not in telluride, but in a remote location north of Paonia CO..
Montrose is infested with spooks and ex govt employees, that country voted for Hillary, but my county and most others on this side of the Rockies voted for Trump….
I think Trump hating Neil Young has a place in telluride too.
It's all about the underground caves and abandoned mines that are common in the area.
Good post

Q+'s telluride CO & 52 (House of Cards)
Been workfaggin', apology if one of you faggots already brought this up.
Q+ seemed to direct our attention to telluride, CO in his public address earlier today. Some twotterfag made the connection to periodic table element 52 (House of Cards) - https://twitter.com/ProudIdealist/status/1214951595542302729 - so I checked https://qresear.ch/?q=telluride, sure enough it's spoopy.
"Lots of BIG players live/have homes and huge properties in that area, Montrose, Ridgeway, telluride. Do some research, but think Hearst, Disney, Lauren, Bush, etc. Dodgy shit going on in that area for many years. Research it, pretty easy to figure out." Initial dig for homes in telluride hits Oprah, Tom Cruise, Billy Koch (Aspen tangent - and Rihanna):
-Oprah buys 60 acres (2014) for $10.85M through "entity called (((Yellow Brick Road)))." (dig? Sauce w/ paywall = https://www.wsj.com/articles/oprah-winfrey-buys-about-60-acres-in-telluride-for-10-85-million-1395348005?tesla=y)
-60 acres accessed via telluride Ski Resort Galloping Goose (Mother Goose - pedo?) ski run. "Rumor has it the same parcel was once under contract with Sylvester Stallone for long enough that the access street is named Rocky Road." (Sauce + map https://www.telluride.com/blog/where-oprahs-property)
-"The property was bought from Carol Barnett, daughter of (((PUBLIX))) Super Markets founder George Jenkins, and her husband, Hoyt Barnett." (sauce https://virtualglobetrotting.com/map/oprah-winfreys-property/view/google/)
-While waiting for new mansion on 60 acres, Oprah buys "temporary" $14M telluride home fully furnished, formerly owned by businessman (((Bob Wall. Bob is a well known art collector.))) (a la Podesta? - sauce https://www.mountainliving.com/Homes/Oprah-Winfreys-New-Home-in-telluride-Colorado/)
-Perhaps it was the (((DISNEYfied))) (((wine cellar))) made to look like a historic mining tunnel, goes to Sundance ski run in mining cart for 4. (sauce https://www.curbed.com/2015/12/17/10620360/oprah-telluride-home)
-Tom Cruise's telluride abode hit the big time when Oprah Winfrey (also a telluride property owner) taped an episode of her talk show with Cruise at the property in 2008.
-Koch's $89.9M pad is 2x Aspen's 2nd priciest (one of Rihanna's favorite vacay hideouts). "... you'll also see some (((NAKED ART))) hanging above the fireplace and on the opposite wall. Guess the Koch brothers like that kind of thing as they cut into a good (((COLORADO STEAK)))"? (sauce https://www.curbed.com/2014/6/12/10088266/first-look-inside-aspens-bonkers-89-million-koch-compound)
Megan Barber authored a few of these articles, seems spoopy, perhaps vague pedo(vore?) allusions. @megcbarber "Megan writes about everything from campers to (((shipping container))) homes to (((traveling with kiddos))), with a special eye for (((under-the-radar destinations))). Based in Denver, you'll find Megan biking the Mile High City." Sounds like pedo(vore?) tourism to me. https://www.curbed.com/authors/megan-barber
I'm thinking telluride is elite_pedo_hotspot. Might also be doomsday bunker heaven for this crowd, or (with all the old min shafts), major DUMB access hub.
House of Cards, baby. 52. WWG1WGA.

Phoenix reference is odd. This anon was on here a week ago on late night shift, end of bread, and responded about uranium and Colorado, didn't get a response, except for this, pic related. Feels like I was speaking to someone who knows something. Anon knows Colorado very well and have been using that knowledge and digging since and this is what I have so far, anagram For God and Country = Durango, organ and food. So if Phoenix is the feeder to Durango, how does Sky Harbor fit in? Anon does know this was a huge local story, again all pics related, and wonders how Haitians end up in very unpopulated area of Colorado. Eyes on this I think. Also this one out of an area in Colorado that is only an hour away.

That road "went" to telluride, where there is a massively popular bluegrass festival (#46) in a couple of weeks. It's going to change some travel plans for a lot of people.

Colorado is full of weird people that live back in the hills doing a lot of weird stuff.
Not saying there are not normal people out there, but it has a stange factor.
The wester slope where there are ranchers is less strange, until you get to the ski resorts and the south west area of telluride (to hell you ride)
Have you been out there since weed was legalized?
Takes a half hour for the people to pump their gas, a half hour to get service at McD,.
Some of the smaller stotes are almost self-help, the clerk is outside smokin a joint.

The Deal With Oprah Winfrey's Private Maui Road
AUGUST 3, 2011 BY ANTHONY PIGNATARO 9 COMMENTS
By Anthony Pignataro
According to Forbes, Oprah Winfrey is worth $2.7 billion. The 57-year-old former actor became famous for her Oprah Winfrey Show (which ceased production in May) but still runs a vast media empire. She owns a production company (Harpo Productions), a cable network (OWN), a magazine (O), Oprah.com and the Oprah Radio satellite station. She also owns estates in Montecito, California and Fisher Island, Florida; houses in Lavallette, New Jersey, Douglasville, Georgia and telluride, Colorado; and assorted properties on the islands of Antigua and Maui. The latter includes 100 acres in Hana, 1,000 acres Upcountry (which boasts a small, terribly exclusive 12-room bed and breakfast) and a four-mile road.
And not just any road, either: Oprah's road is concrete and asphalt 12 feet across. Goodfellow Brothers paved it in December 2010. The road stretches from the water tank at Kealakapu Road near Piilani Highway in Kihei to Keokoa, near Haleakala Highway. It's a road locals have been waiting for 40 years - a potentially golden road that could radically ease traffic congestion in Central Maui.
That is, if the public could use it, which it most certainly cannot. "The paved road, drainage swales and detention ponds will be privately maintained," stated a June 2009 Drainage Report on the effects of paving the road prepared by Wayne I. Arakaki Engineer LLC for OW Ranch, LLC, (the initials reportedly stand for "Oprah Winfrey") and kept on file with the Maui County Planning Department. "This is a private roadway and will not be open to the public."
OW Ranch paid for the road. "It wasn't cheap," said OW Ranch agent Hugh Starr when asked how much it cost. He ultimately declined to provide a figure, and officials with both the county Planning Department and Haleakala Ranch said they either didn't know or couldn't provide the number (grading the road did require a $34,520 bond, which county civil engineer Lance Nakamura said represented just a fraction of the grading costs).
According to Starr, the road lies entirely on Haleakala Ranch land, which he said was the road's main user. But he added that OW Ranch and Kamaole Ranch (which is owned by Winfrey's former personal trainer Bob Greene, who is also listed as a manager for OW Ranch) retain access rights to the road that dated back to OW Ranch's original purchase of the 1,000 Upcountry acres from Haleakala Ranch. Starr called the original dirt and gravel road "very rocky and dusty" as well as "dangerous," which the grading permit and accompanying drainage report makes clear.
