The famous Jewish banking family has been deeply involved in Ukraine's affairs since the 2014 coup d'etat, despite Ukraine embracing neo-Nazi collaborators as its national heroes.
Multinational asset firm Rothschild & Co was instrumental in the restructuring of Ukraine's $20+ billion debt in July 2024, according to Western press.
It had reportedly been involved in arranging face-to-face meetings between Ukrainians and asset management firms, including Black Rock and Amundi, less than two months before the two-year payment moratorium expired on August 1.
The Rothschilds reportedly engaged IMF's experts in the talks while the plan of grabbing Russia's frozen sovereign assets was also on the table.The clan is believed to be cashing in on the Eastern European state through various schemes, including the future "restoration of Ukraine."
Then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko tapped a Rothschild & Cie to sell his assets in 2014. It turned out later that the companies weren't sold but handed over to Rothschild Trust. Rothschild first offered to mediate Ukraine's talks with creditors on the restructuring of the country's debt in 2015.
The same year, the supervisory board of Ukraine's state-owned lender PrivatBank asked a consortium of Rothschild, EY and FinPoint companies to restructure its funds. Ukrainian tycoon Ihor Kolomoisky also reached out to the Rothschilds when seeking to regain a 25% stake in PrivatBank, his former asset, in 2019.
In July 2017, then Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman reportedly held a private meeting with Nathaniel Jacob Rothschild in London. Former Ukrainian People's Deputy Oleg Tsarev suggested at the time that Groysman wanted Rothschild to make him the next president.
In July 2023, Russian pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov (Vovan) and Alexey Stolyarov (Lexus) tricked Alexandre de Rothschild, the executive chairman of Rothschild & Co, who told them that the banking clan has cooperated with the Kiev regime since 2017.
"We had excellent relationships with people in your government. We were mainly involved in attracting of lending funds," de Rothschild told Vovan and Lexus thinking that he was talking to Volodymyr Zelensky.

Elected leaders make budget decisions, "and their preferences do not match the president's preferences. Until this changes, aid for Ukraine's war efforts is not coming from the U.S. budget precisely because of the decisions of elected leaders."

During his meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, Vice President Joe Biden announced today in Washington that, pending Congressional notification, the White House plans to commit $220 million in new assistance to Ukraine this year in support of economic, political, and energy reforms. This assistance package will continue our support for Ukraine's efforts to strengthen democratic institutions and the rule of law, reinforce the foundations for sustainable economic growth, and respond to humanitarian needs. The new assistance will also support other key areas of Prime Minister Groysman's ambitious reform agenda, including:
Accelerating customs reform, including by providing legal, regulatory, infrastructure, and e-customs support; creating a new customs monitoring center; and assisting in implementing reforms of the recruitment, selection, vetting, training, and equipping of new customs officers, based on the successful patrol police model.
Fighting corruption through support for key justice sector reforms, including implementation of the constitutional amendments adopted by the Rada on June 2 and Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko's reform agenda, and by expanding our partnerships with the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, and National Police, as well as support for independent media and civil society.
Extending decentralization across Ukraine, helping to improve service delivery, increase citizen engagement and oversight, and raise public awareness of the benefits of reforms.
Expanding support for energy security through programs that establish competitive and transparent gas and electricity markets in line with EU standards, diversify sources of energy, improve energy efficiency, support privatization, and enhance cybersecurity.
In addition, on June 9, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) approved up to $62.5 million in financial support to two private equity funds that will invest in Ukraine across a number of sectors including agribusiness, healthcare, infrastructure, retail, consumer goods, and real estate. These two investments are in addition to OPIC's total exposure to Ukraine of $185 million, including $73 million in insurance coverage, $97 million in finance exposure, and an estimated $15 million in indirect exposure to Ukraine through other multi?country investment funds.
The United States is also helping Ukraine improve its business environment to attract more foreign investment through implementation of banking reforms, simplified regulations, enhanced investor rights, and greater transparency. The United States will continue to work closely with the Ukrainian Government to help ensure that the practical experience of U.S. industry is taken into account in Ukraine's ongoing efforts to prioritize and implement reforms that will improve the business climate and attract private capital.
These initiatives and new commitments are part of more than $1.3 billion in foreign assistance the U.S. government has committed to Ukraine since 2014 to advance reforms, strengthen democratic institutions and civil society, stimulate economic growth, strengthen its defenses, and help Ukraine more safely monitor and secure its borders and defend its territorial integrity.
This includes more than $112 million in humanitarian assistance provided to date to conflict-affected civilians in Ukraine. This funding helps provide emergency shelter, relief commodities, protection activities for children and the elderly, psychosocial support, repair to water infrastructure, and support for short-term job creation for internally displaced persons.
The U.S. government has also provided Ukraine $2 billion in loan guarantees, and signed an agreement on June 3 to allow for the issuance of a third, up to $1 billion loan guarantee in the coming months, pending completion of certain conditions and the Congressional notification process. These loan guarantees help Ukraine stabilize its economy and protect the most vulnerable households from the impact of needed economic adjustment.

With Russia now slowly escalating its 'special military operation' against Ukraine on the eve of its first anniversary, I find myself drawn once again to the complex but stark phenomenon of extreme Jewish corruption in the latter nation. While it's become commonplace to note Volodymyr Zelensky's Jewishness, and perhaps also that of Volodymyr Groysman, the first Prime Minister to serve under Zelensky, I have yet to read a detailed discussion of the major Jewish players in the ongoing saga of Ukrainian oligarchy and its political affiliates. If anything, the present conflict is a huge distraction from the fact that, for decades, the biggest threat to Ukraine hasn't been Russia, but financiers and speculators operating with impunity within Ukraine's borders to exploit ethnic Ukrainians and plunder their resources.
Speaking in general terms, of course, Ukraine is an extremely corrupt country, with the culture of fraud and graft stemming in large part from the Soviet legacy and saturating all levels of society. Crooks of all ethnic backgrounds are ubiquitous in the nation. Bribery is systematic, where it's accepted as a basic fact of life by ordinary citizens and extends even to such mundane tasks as vehicle inspection.
As well as infesting politics, bribery and other forms of corruption remain endemic in the police force, higher education, health care, and the justice system, with the result that Ukraine ranks alongside some of the worst African nations in Transparency International's assessment of corruption perception. According to 2015 data, politically connected businesses accounting for less than 1 per cent of companies in Ukraine owned more than 25 per cent of all assets and accessed over 20 per cent of debt financing. In the capital-intensive mining, energy and transport sectors, politically connected businesses accounted for over 40 per cent of turnover and 50 per cent of assets.
Far from being the beacon of freedom presented to us now by the mass media, Ukraine is a nation bankrupt in social trust and well-accustomed to the yoke of exploitation. There has been little internal outcry over the massive trafficking of its women for sex, both inside and outside the country, with coastal cities such as Odessa becoming sex tourism hubs for the worst of the Turkish and Israeli middle classes. Ukraine now has the highest adult HIV prevalence outside Africa, with sexual contact outpacing injection drug use as the primary form of transmission since 2008. The National Institute on Drug Abuse points out that substance abuse in Ukraine has been at epidemic proportions for the last 15 years.
Ukraine is on multiple levels a deeply flawed and troubled state, and like any bloody carcass it has attracted its share of hyenas. I believe, however, that Jewish corruption in Ukraine, despite Jews only comprising around 0.5% of the Ukrainian population, is of a character significant enough to merit special attention. In the following essay I want to explore some of the key players and their interconnections, as well as to offer some thoughts on the reasons why anti-Jewish attitudes have not taken hold in Ukraine, and why they are unlikely to do so in the future.
How 'Anti-Corruption' Is Zelensky?
Now overshadowed by his reinvention as a kind of Second Coming of Winston Churchill, Zelensky's first great transformation was that of a close associate of the worst of Ukraine's oligarchs (Ihor Kolomoisky, discussed below) into an "anti-corruption" populist. Zelensky's relationship with Kolomoisky goes back to around 2012, when Zelensky and the Jewish brothers Serhiy and Boris Shefir, began making content for Kolomoisky's TV stations through their production production company, Kvartal 95.

Eric Ciaramella, whom Real Clear Investigations suggests is the likely so-called whistleblower,received emails about Ukraine policy from a top director at George Soros's Open Society Foundations.
The emails informed Ciaramella and a handful of other Obama administration foreign policy officials about Soros's whereabouts, the contents of Soros's private meetings about Ukraine and a future meeting the billionaire activist was holding with the prime minister of Ukraine.
A primary recipient of the Open Society emails along with Ciaramella was then-Assistant Secretary of State for European AffairsVictoria Nuland, who played a central role in the anti-Trump dossier affair. Nuland, with whom Ciaramella worked closely, received updates on Ukraine issues from dossier author Christopher Steele in addition to her direct role in facilitating the dossier within the Obama administration.
The emails spotlight Soros's access to national security officials under the Obama administration on the matter of Ukraine.
In one instance, Jeff Goldstein, senior policy analyst for Eurasia at the Open Society Foundations, sent a June 9, 2016 email to Nuland and Ciaramella, who were the missive's primary recipients.
CC'd were three other State Department officials involved in European affairs, including Alexander Kasanof who worked at the U.S. embassy in Kiev.
The message read:
I wanted to let you know that Mr. Soros met with Johannes Hahn in Brussels earlier today. One of the issues he raised was concern over the decision to delay the visa liberalization for Georgia and the implications for Ukraine.
The email revealed that "GS" - meaning Soros - "is also meeting [Georgian] President [Giorgi] Margvelashvili today and speaking with PM Groyman," referring to Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.
The email stated that Soros told Hahn "that Ukrainian civil society is concerned that without reciprocity from the EU for steps Ukraine has taken to put in place sensitive anti-corruption and anti-discrimination legislation and institutions it will not be possible to continue to use the leverage of EU instruments and policies to maintain pressure for reforms in the future."
Soros also "urged Hahn to advocate with member states to move ahead with visa liberalization for Ukraine," the email related.

That meeting, which took place in Ukraine on April 6, 2017, also included Buretta and Tramontano to speak with the interim prosecutor. Shortly after that meeting, Sevruk was replaced by Yuriy Lutsenko as Ukraine's new prosecutor, which pleased Joe Biden, who called him "solid."
This was around the same time that Joe Biden met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman on June 15, 2016, and announced plans to commit an additional $220 million to Ukraine.
After all of this occurred, the investigations into Burisma and Zlochevsky were amazingly shut down over the course of a couple of months and in mid-January 2017, Burisma announced that it had been cleared of all legal proceedings against it, as well as the case against Zlochevsky.
After the Burisma investigations were closed, Joe Biden once again flew to Ukraine, in this case only days before he left the vice presidency. That was his sixth trip to the country in three years, Epoch Times reported.
Think of all that occurred just to get the investigation into Burisma closed-bribing of a prosecutor, firing his replacement, numerous meetings with an interim prosecutor, pressure on a fourth but finally the cases were dropped.
All of this came about after Hunter Biden, with zero experience in the energy sector, was placed on Burisma's board to the tune of $83,333 a month, or $1 million per year, according to the New York Post.
Is it mere irony that all of this occurred while Joe Biden was vice president and in a position to strong-arm Ukraine into dropping the investigation into Burisma? Or is it corruption? Hunter Biden's position on the Burisma board were suddenly cut in half after President Trump was inaugurated and Joe Biden was of no further use to Burisma.
The point of much of this goes back to the first impeachment of the former president. The fact that Kent's email was only recently made available as opposed to during the impeachment hearings, it would have vindicated much of what Trump was impeached for. Namely that initial investigations into Burisma were terminated when the original prosecutor was bribed, and the fact that it took place while Hunter Biden was in charge of Burisma's legal affairs.
Likewise it would have vindicated Trump who accused Hunter Biden of being corrupt, and also his claim that Joe Biden had pressured Ukraine into firing Shokin, who had reopened the investigations into Burisma.

Since the February 2014 ending of the Euromaidan protests unrest has gripped southern and eastern Ukraine, and this escalated in April 2014 into the ongoing War in Donbas.[96]
In April 2014, leaflets were distributed by three masked man as people left a synagogue in Donetsk (the biggest city in Donbas) ordering Jews to register to avoid losing their property and citizenship "given that the leaders of the Jewish community of Ukraine support the Banderite junta in Kyiv[nb 1] and are hostile to the Orthodox Donetsk Republic and its citizens".[97][98] While many speak of a hoax (concerning the authorship of the tracts) which took on international proportions, the fact that these flyers were distributed remains undisputed.[97]
Due to the growing 2014 Ukrainian unrest, Ukrainian Jews making aliyah from Ukraine reached 142% higher during the first four months of 2014 compared to the previous year.[99] 800 people arrived in Israel over January-April, and over 200 signed up for May 2014.[99] On the other hand, chief rabbi and Chabad emissary of Dnipropetrovsk Shmuel Kaminezki claimed late April 2014 "Today, you can come to Dnipropetrovsk or Odessa and walk through the streets openly dressed as a Jew, with nothing to be afraid of".[100]
In August 2014, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency reported that the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews is organizing chartered flights to allow at least 150 Ukrainian Jews, to immigrate to Israel in September. In 2014 the Jews Ihor Kolomoyskyi and Volodymyr Groysman were appointed Governor of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and Speaker of the Parliament respectively.[103][104] Groysman became Prime Minister of Ukraine in April 2016.[105]
Ukraine elected its first Jewish president in the 2019 presidential election where former comedian and actor of the TV series Servant of the People, Volodymyr Zelensky won over incumbent Petro Poroshenko.[106]
As of 2012, Ukraine had the fifth-largest Jewish community in Europe and the twelfth-largest Jewish community in the world, behind South Africa and ahead of Mexico. Anti-Semitism and diplomats
On May 12, the well-known blogger Anatoly Shariy, who even before the Euromaidan left Ukraine due to criminal prosecution, published information that the consul of Ukraine in Hamburg Vasily Marushchinets allowed himself anti-Semitic statements on social networks several years ago.
One entry was allegedly in 2013, and another in 2015. Currently, there are no messages to which the journalist referred.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin immediately reacted to these accusations.
"There can be no place for anti-Semites and those who incite interethnic strife either in a civilized society or in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine begins disciplinary proceedings. We will thoroughly understand all the details," Mr. Klimkin wrote on his Twitter page on May 13 …
Power and oligarchs
Quite often, scandals around anti-Semitism arise in Ukraine, connected with accusations of the authorities or oligarchs.
Such a case recently occurred in Odessa, where the head of the local cell of the Right Sector, Tatiana Soykina, publicly stated that Ukraine would belong to Ukrainians, "not Jews. No - to the oligarchy, Glory to Ukraine."
The fact is that in Ukraine some of the country's richest oligarchs are Jews, and radical Ukrainians often associate their nationalities and financial situation with the poverty of the population.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov immediately reacted to this statement by Ms. Soikina.
He said that public anti-Semitic calls in Ukraine are unacceptable. Avakov called it "the cave Middle Ages", and the police opened a criminal case on this statement.
Subsequently, Soykina apologized for her words, and also explained her understanding of the problem.
The nationalists, they say, distinguish between the concepts of "Jews" - they are, according to her, representatives of oligarchic clans that plunder Ukraine, and "Jews" are representatives of a friendly nation who are fighting with them for Ukraine.
She also recalled that the "Right Sector" of the Odessa region supported the appointment of the famous cultural figure of Jewish origin Alexander Roitburd as director of the Odessa Art Museum.
The "Right Sector" also recalled that they have always condemned acts of vandalism against monuments to the victims of the Holocaust, and among the members of the organization there are many Jews.
In addition, Ukrainian and foreign journalists often draw attention to the fact that the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman is of Jewish origin.
Some journalists and activists sometimes hint that the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko may also be of Jewish origin.
Although this is unverified and unconfirmed information, critics of the president often talk about it, and sometimes it escalates into high-profile political scandals.
In particular, this happened in the fall of 2017 with the press secretary of Mikheil Saakashvili, Daria Chizh. In a Facebook post, she hinted at the president's alleged Jewish origins, pointing out the "Waltzman particle" in Poroshenko's character.
Saakashvili then publicly condemned the statements of his speaker and said that he had removed her from work. Ms Chyzh herself removed the post and stated that some had mistakenly regarded it as "anti-Semitic."
During many protests in Kiev in recent years, some of the protesters expressed certain anti-Semitic slogans, allegedly linking them with the Jewish origin of the authorities and Ukrainian oligarchs.

2018:Kostiantyn Kulyk, deputy head of the Prosecutor General's International Legal Cooperation Department of Ukraine, attempted to get visas to Washington from the U.S. Embassy in Kiev to deliver their evidence of all the previous corruption involving Soros and the Obama administration. However, the ambassador had not given the visas.Kulyk has said:

If Ukraine becomes a flashpoint for World War III with Russia, the American people might rue the day that their government pressed for the 2014 overthrow of Ukraine's allegedly corrupt (though elected) president in favor of a coup regime led by Ukrainian lawmakers who now report amassing, on average, more than $1 million each, much of it as cash.
The New York Times, which served as virtually a press agent for the coup in February 2014, took note of this apparent corruption among the U.S.-favored post-coup officials, albeit deep inside a story that itself was deep inside the newspaper (page A8). The lead angle was a bemused observation that Ukraine's officialdom lacked faith in the country's own banks (thus explaining why so much cash).
Yet, Ukraine is a country beset by widespread poverty, made worse by the post-coup neoliberal "reforms" slashing pensions, making old people work longer and reducing heating subsidies for common citizens. The average Ukrainian salary is only $214 a month.
So, an inquiring mind might wonder how - in the face of all that hardship - the post-coup officials did so well for themselves, but Times' correspondent Andrew E. Kramer treads lightly on the possibility that these officials were at least as corrupt, if not more so, than the elected government that the U.S. helped overthrow. Elected President Viktor Yanukovych had been excoriated for a lavish lifestyle because he had a sauna in his residence.
Kramer's article on Wednesday tried to explain the bundles of cash as a sign that "many of the lawmakers and officials responsible for inspiring public trust in Ukraine's economic and banking institutions have little faith that their own wealth would be safe in the country's banks, according to recently mandated financial disclosures. ...
