DJT stock's sudden crash wipes out $2.4 billion from Donald Trump's wealth in just 3 days

The recent collapse in shares of Trump Media and Technology Group, the parent company of Truth Social, has ravaged Donald Trump's net worth.

He owns the majority of its shares, which trade under the ticker DJT, and the stock has been a barometer of the former president's prospects this election cycle. It soared as polls began tilting his way through most of October.

On Tuesday, shares were so high that Trump Media's market cap hit $10.8 billion, exceeding Elon Musk's social media platform X, which has an estimated value of $9.4 billion.

But the next day, DJT shares began selling off, with volatility so extreme that trading was halted several times. By the end of the session, the stock had tumbled 22%, marking the biggest single-day plunge since Trump Media went public in March.

Shares fell 12% on Thursday and 14% on Friday, capping off a 41% dive over just three days. That means the value of Trump's stake went from $5.9 billion to $3.5 billion during that span, resulting in a $2.4 billion net worth decline, according to CNN.

The turning point may have been Trump's rally in Madison Square Garden on Oct. 27, when comedian Tony Hinchcliffe called Puerto Rico "a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean," sparking a huge backlash.

The rally, which featured other divisive speakers and remarks, was such a debacle that it may have reversed Kamala Harris's political fortunes and handed her the White House, according to Thomas Miller, a data scientist at Northwestern University who has built an election model.

Failing to return to the presidency could prove especially costly for Trump and the value of his social media company. If "Trump loses I think it eventually goes to zero," Mattew Tuttle, CEO of Tuttle Capital Management, told Fortune last month.

But even in that worst-case scenario, Trump will still be a billionaire, albeit a diminished one. Before the selloff, his net worth was somewhere between $7.5 billion and $10 billion, according to estimates from the Wall Street Journal.

People who routinely buy raw milk should be aware of two important consumer alerts in the state of New York. These are equivalent to recalls, as the two farms producing the raw milk were prohibited from selling the product after testing showed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes.

The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets issued a consumer alert on April 29th concerning Thomas Miller DBA Miller Dairy Farm raw milk. The agency urged buyers not to consume the unpasteurized milk, as it might contain Listeria.

The Department discovered the presence of Listeria on April 21st when an inspector collected a sample of milk. Lab testing followed the preliminary positive result, and the April 29th results confirmed the initial findings.

The agency notified the producer, prohibiting the sale of raw milk until future tests can prove the product is free of harmful bacteria.

Biden Labor Ally Accused of Stealing Millions From Union

A close political ally of Joe Biden stands accused at the highest levels of misappropriating millions from a leading firefighters union.
Not only was $1 million siphoned from the union's pension fund, but $6 million remains unaccounted for, according to an internal probe obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

The Washington Free Beacon's Yuichiro Kakutani reports:
Harold Schaitberger, the president of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), which represents more than 300,000 firefighters, is facing accusations of corruption and gross financial malpractice from his closest deputies. Edward Kelly, the general secretary-treasurer and the number two of the union, detailed the findings of his team's audit in a March 20 internal memorandum.
According to the 105-page document, the audit has thus far found that Schaitberger and Thomas Miller-Kelly's predecessor as the general secretary-treasurer-illegally earned millions of dollars from the union pension fund over the last two decades.
"The record keeping performed prior to my assuming office in September 2016 was so poor, one could argue it was designed that way," Kelly wrote in the memorandum.

Kelly's audit also found that the union misreported millions of dollars in union funds while diverting millions of dollars for a purpose unrelated to their original designation. As a result of this rampant financial malpractice, roughly $6 million in union funds remain unaccounted for, according to the memorandum.
Neither the union nor Schaitberger responded to requests for comment.

Schaitberger spearheaded the charge to get the 320,000 member organization to become the first national union to endorse Biden's presidential campaign in April 2019. Despite its members' history of tending to vote for Democrats, the 2016 presidential election saw their vote evenly split between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. After Schaitberger's successful push to endorse, more than 18,000 members formally complained, demanding the IAFF retract its endorsement.

The results of the probe and calls for a more in-depth investigation threaten to divide the union further.

As of this article's publication, the Biden campaign has not responded to requests for comment.
