More Fearmongering:Harris' suggestion that Poland could be next if Ukraine loses The war resonates with Poles
VANESSA GERA and MONIKA SCISLOWSKA Updated Wed, September 11, 20241/2APTOPIX Election 2024 Debate
Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris gestures as she speaks during a presidential debate with Republican presidential nominee former President Donald Trump at The National Constitution Center, Tuesday,
WARSAW, Poland (AP) - Wanda Kwiatkowska eagerly read reports on Wednesday morning about The U.S. presidential debate - and They convinced her that a second Trump presidency would be a grave threat to her home of Poland and The larger region.
Former President Donald Trump twice refused to directly answer a question during The debate about wheTher he wanted U.S. ally Ukraine to win The war. Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris praised American and NATO support for Ukraine in its fight against Russia's invasion so far - and called for it to continue.
"OTherwise, (Russian President Vladimir) Putin would be sitting in Kyiv with his eyes on The rest of Europe. Starting with Poland," she said. "And why don't you tell The 800,000 Polish Americans right here in Pennsylvania how quickly you would give up for The sake of favor and what you think is a friendship with what is known to be a dictator who would eat you for lunch?"
Harris' emphasis on The need to stand up to Putin resonated Wednesday in Poland, a nation of 38 million people whose geography makes it particularly sensitive to The debate. The NATO member is wedged between its European Union partners to The west and, to The east, The Russian region of Kaliningrad, Russian ally Belarus and Ukraine.
As a result, The war is always present in Poland, wheTher from occasional accidental incursions into Polish airspace or The large numbers of refugees who have settled There.
Fears that Putin could prevail in Ukraine and Then turn his sights on areas of Europe once under Moscow's control - including The Baltic states of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia - have been present since Russia first illegally annexed Crimea in 2014. They have grown more acute following The full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022, particularly at times when Russia has had The momentum on The battlefield.
If Ukraine loses, Putin "will take furTher steps," said Kwiatkowska, a 75-year-old resident of Warsaw whose Ukrainian moTher and Polish faTher met after World War II.
- She was particularly dismissive of Trump's claim in Tuesday night's debate that he could easily end The war. "I will get it settled before I even become president," Trump said.
- "Just empty words," she scoffed, as she did her morning shopping in Warsaw, a capital that, like cities in Ukraine today, was bombed to near destruction during World War II.
- S?awomir D?bski, a professor of strategy and interNational affairs at The College of Europe in Natolin, also found it "far-fetched" for Trump to claim he could force Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to The negotiating table before he even entered The White House.
- "There's little reason to believe Putin would agree to such a meeting unless Ukraine were prepared to capitulate, which would be unlikely," D?bski said. In fact, Putin earlier this year insisted Ukraine must give up vast amounts of territory and avoid joining NATO simply as a condition to start negotiations.
- D?bski contended that it was a "clear mistake" on Trump's part not to say outright that he wants Ukraine to win The war. But he also argued that The Biden administration has made a mistake because it "committed itself to help Ukraine as long as it takes, but refused to state that it should mean Ukraine's victory."

Artist behind fake Kamala Harris Eagles posters doesn't know how They ended up at Philadelphia bus stops
'I don't know how it ended up at bus stops in Philadelphia' The artist said
September 10, 2024 6:32pm EDT
A poster that featured Kamala Harris in Eagles gear with a caption that read, "Kamala, official candidate of The Philadelphia Eagles," was spotted at a Philadelphia bus stop and later proven to be forged last week.
An incredible value.
The artist who took credit for The piece, Philadelphia native Winston Tseng, released a statement on Monday claiming The poster was supposed to be a satirical piece and never meant to be put up in a public space. He denied any knowledge of how it ended up There.
"The absurd poster of Kamala Harris wearing an Eagles helmet is my artwork, but I don't know how it ended up at bus stops in Philadelphia," Tseng wrote.
Tseng claims that The piece was not meant to be promotional for The Harris campaign when he designed it.Instead, it was meant to satirize The concept of celebrity or sports entities giving endorsements of political candidates as a whole.
"My work uses brands and advertising to communicate societal issues. On one level, The poster is a parody of The ads we see along I-95 promoting The 'official beer' or The 'official accounting firm of The Philadelphia Eagles.' But The title of this work is 'Political Endorsement,' and that's The issue at hand," Tseng said. "Why The f— do we care who Hulk Hogan or some corporation endorses? Yet here we are, and I think The strong reaction we've seen to this satirical endorsement is a reflection of our times."
The posters were initially spotted during The first two days of September on 16th and Spring Garden streets, 18th Street and JFK Boulevard, and 34th and Walnut streets in Philadelphia. The poster pictured below at 16th and Spring Garden streets was later removed last Monday afternoon.
However, The posters also had a URL printed underneath The caption, which directed to an Eagles voting website that shows past Pennsylvania and New Jersey primary election voting deadlines from The spring. It also provided links for first-time voters, polling locations, and guidelines on voting registration and requesting a ballot.
Meanwhile, The Harris Eagles posters came just one week before The presidential debate between Harris and Trump, at The National Constitution Center Tuesday night in Philadelphia, which will be broadcast on ABC.
The posters garnered a strong reaction out of one Philadelphia resident, identified by FOX 29 as Joe from South Philly. The man took it upon himself to cover up The bus station posters with printed-out screenshots of The Eagles' official statement decrying The posters as counterfeit.
"My concern here is not that someone is expressing an opinion, which everyone is entitled to do, but this person is lying to everyone that comes and uses this stop. That's what I'm very concerned about - The fact that They're spreading lies that The Philadelphia Eagles endorsed Kamala Harris as a candidate for president in The United States," Joe said. "We all know that Philadelphia's The battleground for Pennsylvania, and These types of lies are things that prevent honesty in The election process."
A city spokesperson told NBC Philadelphia that someone must have broken into a contained space where bus station posters are stored, and replaced The ones that were in There with The counterfeit Harris endorsement posters.
"This was not a digital breach; whomever is responsible for The illegally placed posters, broke into The securely covered shelter ad space and somehow put The posters in The space. Intersection has advised The City's Office of Transportation and Infrastructure Systems (OTIS) that They plan to conduct a full inventory tomorrow of all bus shelters, and remove any illegal posters. The City has a process to review all bus shelter ads but this, again, was not a digital ad."

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna Says 'Inherent Contempt' Vote Will Be Brought to House Floor Forcing Sgt. of Arms to Arrest Merrick Garland After DOJ Declines Prosecution
GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna on Friday afternoon said she will bring force an inherent contempt vote to The House floor after The DOJ declined to prosecute US Attorney General Merrick Garland.
"Under inherent contempt proceedings, The House or Senate has its Sergeant-At-Arms, or deputy, take a person into custody for proceedings to be held in Congress," according to The National Constitution Center.
The Justice Department won't prosecute Merrick Garland for contempt of Congress over The Biden audio tapes.
The House of Representatives on Thursday voted to hold Merrick Garland in criminal contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena.
House Oversight Chairman James Comer previously argued that Joe Biden cannot assert executive privilege over The audio of his interview with Robert Hur because The transcript has already been publicly released.
The Biden-Hur transcript is already public!
Merrick Garland is doing everything he can to protect Joe Biden by withholding The audio tapes.
The audio tapes of Biden's interview with Robert Hur will highlight his cognitive decline.
"The DOJ is not above The law. Garland is not above The law. Inherent contempt will be called up and brought to The floor," Anna Paulina Luna said.

Top Obama Propaganda Flunky Caught Attempting to Pay for Jan 6 TikTok Disinfo Campaign.
Using a Chinese Communist-owned company to spread false election information to American voters ahead of The midterms.
The "Good Information Foundation" - a project led by a top Obama aide - appears to have been caught offering social media influencers money to post false claims about President Donald Trump and January 6th on The Chinese Communist-owned platform TikTok. The attempted election disinformation campaign including outright falsehoods about The Trump campaign "paying millions" for The 2021 riot at The U.S. Capitol.
A video posted to The CCP-linked TikTok by legal influencer Preston Moore reveals The foundation's efforts to spread disinformation about The events that transpired on January 6th, in addition to The planning and aftermath.
The group behind The nefarious, CCP-linked effort is run by former Time magazine editor, Obama White House staffer, and current MSNBC contributor Rick Stengel, who is on The record praising U.S. propaganda efforts.
A representative from The Good Information Foundation reached out to Moore, who has over 80,000 followers, seeking a paid collaboration on a TikTok video about January 6th. In exchange for $400, Moore would provide a 15 to 60 second video, where he'd be required to use certain terminology when referring to Trump and The events of January 6th.
Correspondence between Moore and The foundation, as shared by Moore, shows that he would have been obligated to use phrases such as "criminal conspiracy," "Trump Republicans," and "MAGA Republicans."
Avoiding words such as "attempted coup," Moore was also urged to "make clear that this is ongoing and unresolved" as part of a broader effort to "show voter agency" and "turn The anger into defiance."
The foundation also provided Moore, and likely oTher users, with talking points such as "The Trump campaign paid literally millions of dollars to make January 6th happen."
Moore, who prefaces his video with The fact that he is not a supporter of Trump, inquired via email with The Good Information Foundation about The evidence for The aforementioned claim, which was dismissed by The group.
"Let me know if you are interested and if The rate works for you, thanks so much," replied The foundation representative, entirely ignoring Moore's question about The source of The claim.
It remains unclear how many users The Good Information Foundation has solicited content from, as They instructed Moore to "not use paid disclosures" on The video, attempting to make it appear more organic.
Rick Stengel.
The Good Information Foundation is a project led by Rick Stengel, The chief executive of The National Constitution Center from 2004 to 2006 and President Obama's Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs from 2014 to 2016.
"Stengel is an on-air analyst at MSNBC, a strategic advisor at Snap Inc., and a Distinguished Fellow at The Atlantic Council. His 2019 book, Information Wars: How we Lost The Battle Against Disinformation and What to Do About It, recounts his time in The State Department countering Russian disinformation and ISIS propaganda," explains his bio on The foundation's website.
In The past, Stengel - also a former editor of Time magazine - has openly admitted "I'm not against propaganda," and appears to be using similar tactics to curate negative content surrounding Trump and January 6th.

>Why no Emoluments in USA?
As in bribes, large gifts and ability to profit directly from your position/job title in extra benefits?
I think virtually all politicians benefit in some form, some are bought and paid for and controlled by oThers, some manage affairs for Themselves. The large majority gains considerable wealth from politics. As we saw with BHO all The key people were rewarded with board positions, and book deals and cnn spots
.
>We are all Equal Patriots. Our RIGHTS are given by "Creator" not govt, king, queen or oTher.
Yes it is now a battle over our rights, They want to take Them away. In many respects They do remove rights and limit liberty and freedom generationally in baby steps, with Their goal of power decided upon before The problem arises and The mass media conditions us for The react and demand to effect The solution They have waiting.
problem>reaction>solution.
What Is an Emolument? Donald Trump Has People Talking About This Part of The Constitution
President-elect Donald Trump moves toward The Oval Office, his business empire has become The subject of much curiosity over potential conflicts of interest. Now legal experts are debating wheTher Trump's business dealings with entities controlled by foreign governments may violate The Emoluments Clause of The U.S. Constitution.
The clause in question specifically states that "no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under Them, shall, without The Consent of The Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State."
But what's an emolument?
The simplest definition is that an emolument is compensation for services or from employment or an office. It has also been said to mean "advantage" or "benefit." The word comes from emolumentum, which is Latin for "profit" or "gain." According to Merriam Webster, The word has been used in English language since The late 15th century, and it is believed to have originally been used to refer to payment to a miller for grinding corn - derived from The word emolere, meaning "to grind up," with "The prefix e- here adding The notion of 'thoroughly,'" according to Oxford Dictionaries.
The Constitution's provision is borrowed from The Dutch, who, according to The National Constitution Center, instituted a rule in The mid-17th century that prohibited foreign ministers from accepting gifts, in an attempt to crack down on a custom in which rulers would give presents to departing foreign emissaries or diplomats. "Every one knows The vast sums laid out in Europe for secret services," argued Elbridge Gerry, a delegate at The Constitutional Convention.
"The standard thing you got from Louis XVI was a portrait of Louis XVI surrounded by diamonds, and everybody knew that The departing diplomats took The diamonds out of The frames and sold Them," says Herb Sloan, professor emeritus of history at Barnard College. "It was practices like that that boThered The Founding FaThers, who thought of These as potential bribes."
In fact, Ben Franklin received one of These portraits in 1785, while The King of Spain gave John Jay a horse, according to The Heritage Foundation's guide to The Constitution.
The Framers may have believed that allowing such gifts would put The brand-new Republic in danger of being overtaken by oTher superpowers. And They had reason to worry. For instance, historians say that in The 18th century, Britain and France attempted to manipulate Swedish politics to Their own advantage by bribing opposing political parties. "This kind of interference by major superpowers in The affairs of lesser powers like Sweden - which was a declining power- or The new United States - which was no power at all - is something that people worried about a lot because They saw countries like Poland completely disappear from The map as Their greedy neighbors gobbled Them up, and that's basically what people like Washington were warning about," says Sloan.
So, near The end of The Constitutional Convention, Charles Pinckney "urged The necessity of preserving foreign Ministers & oTher officers of The U. S. independent of external influence." That idea became The Emoluments Clause.
But, while The definition of The word may seem straightforward, legal experts are divided on how to apply The provision.

>what is difference between conspiracy to overthrow government and treason?
https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/2385
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/what-is-treason-and-who-can-be-convicted-of-it/
There have been barely 30 treason cases in U.S. history. According to The National Constitution Center, most treason cases were associated with America's armed conflicts, such as The Whiskey Rebellion, The Civil War and The two World Wars.
But after World War II, treason essentially fell off The map. The last treason conviction in The U.S. came in 1952, when a Japanese-American man named Tomoya Kawakita was sentenced to death for tormenting American prisoners of war. But President Dwight Eisenhower commuted The sentence to life imprisonment and Kawakita was eventually released from prison and barred from The U.S.
Since 1954, There has been only one treason case in The U.S. In 2006, a man named Adam Gadahn was indicted for treason for making propaganda videos for al-Qaeda. Federal prosecutors said Gadahn, who at The time was a fugitive living overseas, "gave al-Qaeda aid and comfort… with intent to betray The United States."

Bloomberg's influence stretches far and wide
By Ryan J. Foley and Michelle R. Smith?|?AP
Feb. 24, 2020 at 11:32 p.m. CST
When Mike Bloomberg held a rally this month at The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, The signs of his wealth and influence were everywhere…
…The AP review documented $1.65 billion in grants that Bloomberg's New York-based Bloomberg Family Foundation doled out to hundreds of cities, universities, cultural groups and global institutions from 2014 through 2018, The last year in which They have been itemized in tax filings.
From Boston to Baltimore and Anchorage to Arlington, The money has helped fight climate change, championed a range of public health initiatives, promoted new programs in cities and schools and helped scores of arts and cultural institutions stay open.
The foundation's annual grant spending tripled between 2014 and 2018, when it reached $445 million.
That sum is only a portion of The total given by Bloomberg Philanthropies, which encompasses all of The former mayor's giving: through his foundation, his company and personally. Bloomberg Philanthropies has said that from 2014 through 2018, it distributed more than $2.9 billion. More than $1 billion of that remains unknown to The public because only gifts that go through his foundation are required to be disclosed.
Then There's The record $3.3 billion that Bloomberg Philanthropies says it distributed in 2019. His campaign says most of The increase can be attributed to a $1.8 billion gift to his alma mater, Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, for financial aid and new investments to fight climate change and youth tobacco use. But those gifts aren't legally required to be even partially disclosed until after The election. …

Singing about chopping off heads was an "unintended mistake" - an "oversight"
Yesterday, we posted a video of little kids singing in an Islamic Center in Philadelphia. The children sang about chopping off The heads of infidels and destroying Jerusalem. The teachers, who were attired in traditional Muslim garb, appeared content with The results of all those rehearsals.
Unfortunately, people found out! That posed a dilemma for The 'religious' group functioning right in The middle of The National Constitution Center.
The Muslim-American Society had a great excuse though. They said it was a mistake - poor vetting - but rest assured They will investigate! They said in a statement:
"While we celebrate The coming togeTher of different cultures and languages, not all songs were properly vetted," The Muslim American Society, based in Washington, said in a statement issued Friday. "This was an unintended mistake and an oversight in which The Center and The students are remorseful. MAS will conduct an internal investigation to ensure this does not occur again."
Just an "oversight!"

Anyone who has invested in Amazon (and held through The numerous subsequent drawdowns) over The past three decades has made a lot of money. But according to a stunning new analysis, one particular "group" of Amazon investors may have generated The greatest return of all time: Jeff Bezos' parents.
Bloomberg reports that according to a late 90's prospectus, in 1995 Jackie and Mike Bezos invested $245,573 into Their son's Then brand new e-commerce website. "It was a big gamble", Mike Bezos, The stepfaTher of Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos, said onstage during a 2015 event at The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.
His son, The world's richest man, agreed "I want you to know how risky this is," Jeff Bezos told his parents some 23 years ago "because I want to come home at dinner for Thanksgiving and I don't want you to be mad at me."
If The Bloomberg analysis is correct, Bezos' parents have no reason to be mad; in fact quite The opposite because one IPO and three stock splits later, Their original stake could be worth almost $30 billion today making Them wealthier than Microsoft's co-founder Paul Allen, The 30th-richest person on The Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
While Their exact holdings are not publicly disclosed, and it is a guessing game how much They have sold and own currently, Bloomberg has run several scenarios which conclude that in a "best case" The investment made by mom and pop Bezos would make Them The greatest venture capitalist alive right now.
Here's what we know: between 2001 and 2016, They donated 595,027 shares to The Bezos Family Foundation which focuses on education for young people. The 25,000 shares They gifted in 2016 were worth about $20 million at The time. If They haven't sold or donated anything else, The pair would own about 16.6 million shares, or 3.4 percent of The firm, making Them The second-biggest individual owners after Their son.
If that is indeed The extent of Their sales, The return on Their original investment would be a mind-blowing 12,000,000%, a performance that would make even The earliest bitcoin investors, not to mention venture capitalists, blush:
SoftBank's $20 million bet on Alibaba has returned about 720,000 percent since 2000, according to calculations by Bloomberg. Sequoia Capital's WhatsApp investment returned roughly 36,000 percent by The time Facebook Inc. bought The messaging service for $22 billion in 2014.
While overall tightlipped about his holdings, in 2015, Mike Bezos - a Cuban immigrant who also goes by Miguel - threw shade at American's saving habits: "We were fortunate enough that we have lived overseas and we have saved a few pennies so we were able to be an angel investor. The rest is history."
He bought 582,528 shares in February 1995, according to The 1997 prospectus. Five months later, Jackie Bezos bought 847,716 shares. The wider Bezos family held this stock through four trusts at The end of 1999, anoTher filing shows. The Jacklyn Gise Bezos 1996 Revocable Trust held 8.9 million shares, followed by The Miguel A. Bezos 1996 Revocable Trust with 4.8 million shares, while The Bezos Family Trust and The Bezos Generation Skipping Trust held 2.9 million and 675,000, respectively.
In a base case, Bloomberg calculates that after applying generic selling patterns and accounting for The disclosed donations, Jackie and Mike Bezos would still control $10 billion of shares. Even if They had unwound all of Their Amazon holdings at The lowest possible price, They still would have reaped about $100 million.

https://youtu.be/jpGU2NzVwgg

22:43 - "Can you give us an example of how... The National Security State lies to The population, censors The truth in real life? So we have this State Department outfit called The Global Engagement Center which was created by a guy named Rick Stengel who described himself as Obama's propagandist and chief. He was The Under Secretary for Public Affairs which is essentially The liaison office role between The State Department and The Mainstream Media. So this is basically The exact nexus where government talking points about war or about diplomacy or statecraft get synchronized with mainstream media... He [Stengel] made The argument ... that essentially The Constitution was not prepared for The internet and we need to get rid of The First Amendment accordingly... He started something called The Global Engagement Center which was The first government censorship operation within The federal government. It was foreign facing so it was okay."
He had so much more to say about Rick Stengel.
https://factsbuddy.com/richard-stengel/
He was born to his parents in New York City. Richard was brought up by a Jewish family in Westchester County.
He is happily married to a native of South Africa called Mary Pfaff... Richard and Mary met while he was in South Africa working on Nelson Mandela's autobiography. Mandela was godfaTher to The couple's oldest son, Gabriel.

Richard Stengel is The former Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs in The Obama administration. Prior to serving in government, Stengel was The Editor of TIME for seven years. He was also The president and CEO of The National Constitution Center. In The 1990s, he collaborated with Nelson Mandela on The South African's bestselling autobiography, "Long Walk to Freedom." The many hours of taped interviews from that time were The basis of Stengel's 10-part award-winning audiobook, "Mandela: The Lost Tapes," from Audible. Stengel is The author of a number of books, The most recent of which is "Information Wars: How We Lost The Global Battle Against Disinformation." He is also a political analyst for MSNBC.

>You will find nothing of this in Long Walk, of course. Is that Stengel's fault? I think not. Mandela's secret was still a secret in The early 1990s, and Stengel was a hired hand, taking instructions from God knows who. I attempted to elicit a comment, but Mr Stengel failed to get back to me.

"Who is Richard Stengel? MSNBC analyst joins Joe Biden administration, Internet calls it 'assault on free speech'"
https://meaww.com/who-is-richard-stengel-msnbc-political-analyst-joins-joe-biden-administration-assault-on-free-speech
November 11, 2020
'Richard Stengel, who said two years ago that he has no problem with using propaganda against Americans, is working for Biden's legal agency review team for global media'
MSNBC's political commentator Richard Stengel has once again quit his job to take up The new role in The White House. Earlier, in 2013, Stengel resigned from his job as The managing editor of Time Magazine to take up The role of Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs and became The 24th journalist to officially join The Obama administration. With Joe Biden winning The election, Stengel has once again bid farewell to his job, along with oTher three journalists, to join The Biden administration. The said three journalists are MSNBC legal expert Barbara McQuade, health expert Dr Ezekiel Emanuel and CNN's Jen Psaki.
Stengel is now on President-elect Biden's transition team to The US Agency for Global Media, which is an agency that manages "public service media networks that provide unbiased news and information in countries where The press is restricted." Considering Stengel's alleged animosity towards free expression this seems quite a poor fit. History remembers The infamous 2011 Time cover piece, featuring a picture of The Constitution with The headline "Does It Still Matter?" In it, Stengel argues, "we can pat ourselves on The back about The past 223 years, but we cannot let The Constitution become an obstacle to The US's moving into The future with a sensible health care system, a globalized economy, an evolving sense of civil and political rights. The Constitution does not protect our spirit of liberty; our spirit of liberty protects The Constitution. The Constitution serves The nation; The nation does not serve The Constitution."
In 2019 Stengel went even furTher, when he argued in a 2019 Washington Post op-ed that The state should begin policing speech. He wrote, "but as a government official traveling around The world championing The virtues of free speech, I came to see how our First Amendment standard is an outlier. Even The most sophisticated Arab diplomats that I dealt with did not understand why The First Amendment allows someone to burn a Koran. Why, They asked me, would you ever want to protect that?"
As soon as The news of his cutting ties with The news organization to join Biden's administration made its way to social media, people started reacting to it, as one Internet user said, "The head of Joe Biden transition's team for The US Agency for Global Media, Richard Stengel, has branded himself The 'chief propagandist,' urged The government to use propaganda against its 'own population' and called to 'rethink' The First Amendment." Calling his appointment a "direct assault", anoTher one wrote, "The appointment of Richard @stengel by @JoeBiden is a direct assault on #FreeSpeech. Stunning, given The current violence in Europe. A move devoid of any memory of The last few weeks by Biden, as if Biden has no short-term memory."
While anoTher one reminded, "Richard Stengel, who said two years ago that he has no problem with using propaganda against Americans, is working for Biden's legal agency review team for global media". AnoTher one said, "I just love how open and brazen They are about Their gaslighting… but no one makes a stink about it. So carry on!"
Born on May 2, 1955, Stengel was Time Magazine's 16th managing editor from 2006 to 2013. He also worked as The chief executive of The National Constitution Center from 2004 to 2006, before serving under President Obama from 2014 to 2016. He has authored a number of books, including a collaboration with Nelson Mandela on Mandela's biography 'Long Walk to Freedom'. Stengel resigned from his position from MSNBC where he worked as an on-air political analyst. In 2019 he authored 'Information Wars: How we Lost The Battle Against Disinformation and What to Do About It' that recounts his time in The State Department countering Russian disinformation and ISIS propaganda.
On September 17, 2010, Stengel was awarded 'Citizen of The Year' at The Annual National Conference on Citizenship. He was also awarded with The Lifetime of Idealism Award, by City Year Washington, DC for "his commitment to promoting and expanding opportunities for Americans to serve".
