COUNT 5: Ex-government officials who became lobbyists are donating to him
The law says that federal officials who leave government can't immediately go lobby their old agencies. Various waiting periods apply, and the lifetime ban (18 U.S.C. ? 207(a)(1)) prevents them from ever working on the same specific matters they personally worked on in government.
Yet, five former federal officials, who all later became registered lobbyists, donated to Khanna's campaign. Each one's old job lines up with what they're now lobbying about:
1. Chris Israel. Former Deputy Assistant Commerce Secretary. Now lobbies for tech and pharma companies (Qualcomm, AbbVie, PhRMA). Donated $1,000 (one $500 check was refunded within 24 hours).
2. Arshi Siddiqui. Former senior staffer to Speaker Pelosi. Now a partner at Akin Gump, lobbying on Armed Services issues for RTX (Raytheon) and Honeywell. Donated $2,000.
3. Francisco Sanchez. Former Obama Commerce Department Under Secretary for International Trade. Now lobbies on international trade issues. Donated $1,250.
4. Kevin Batteh. Former CFTC counsel. Now lobbies on CFTC and DoD issues for Citadel and D.E. Shaw. Donated $1,000.
5. Robert Taylor. The most damning case. Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Senate Affairs. Now lobbies for Boeing, BAE Systems, Aerojet Rocketdyne, Textron - the exact defense contractors his old job covered. Donated $1,000 (NOT refunded). Khanna sits on Armed Services.
Their employees too: The companies these lobbyists work for collectively gave $365,140 across 264 individual contributions to Khanna.
Khanna says he doesn't take corporate PAC money. But the corporations' executives give to him personally.
Lobbyists are required to disclose their political contributions. Two of the five lobbyists hid the Khanna donations from their required reports. Robert Taylor's case is the worst: he affirmatively certified "I made no contributions" while a Khanna donation was sitting in the period.
The complaint asks for:
1. DOJ referral for the lifetime-ban review (especially Robert Taylor).
2. DOJ referral for Taylor's allegedly false lobbying disclosure.
3. FEC audit.

Immigration agents present in Durham, mayor expresses frustration
Durham Mayor Leonardo Williams confirmed the presence of Border Patrol agents in the city after WRAL News received multiple viewer-submitted pictures and videos of the operations.
Federal immigration agents are on the ground in Raleigh and plan to conduct operations in the area Tuesday, according to Raleigh Mayor Janet Cowell.
The National Immigrant Justice Center published a list of things people can do to protect themselves and defend their rights if approached by an immigration agent.
2:15 p.m. - U.S. Rep. Deborah Ross, D-North Carolina, posted a statement on Tuesday.
"Deploying CBP [Customs and Border Protection] to major American cities doesn't make us safer," Ross wrote. "Indiscriminate immigration raids are useful for sowing fear and generating headlines, but totally ineffective at protecting us from criminals and terrorists.
"When the Trump administration spends money and manpower to randomly sweep people off the streets and target people based on the color of their skin, more felons go free, and there are fewer resources available to combat real threats.
"If reports are true that CBP is in Raleigh, I will work with state and local partners to protect our residents from violations of their rights by federal immigration officers. It's time for CBP to go home and stop attacking our communities."
1:45 p.m. - WRAL News has received pictures and videos from viewers showing immigration agents in Durham.
Durham Mayor Leonardo Williams confirmed the presence of Border Patrol in the city.
"Residents have been sending content and posting it online," Williams wrote in a text message to WRAL News. "It's extremely frustrating because we are so limited.
"An outright jurisdictional disadvantage."
12:55 p.m. - A U.S. Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said Border Patrol agents have arrested more than 200 immigrants in the Charlotte area who are believed to be in the U.S. illegally in the first three days of "Operation Charlotte's Web."
"Criminal records of those arrested include known gang membership, aggravated assault, possession of a dangerous weapon, felony larceny, simple assault, hit and run, possession of stolen goods, shoplifting, DUI, DWI and illegal re-entry after prior deportation, a felony," the spokesperson said.
12:30 p.m. - Petey Pablo, who is from Greenville, released a statement about Border Patrol operations in North Carolina.
Border Patrol used Pablo's song "Raise Up" in its video on operations in Charlotte.
"I have my legal team on it as we speak," Pablo wrote in a statement. "They do not have my permission and I think it is appalling especially what they're doing to the children.
"I do not stand with this by [any] means, and we are engaged with taking legal actions."
12:25 p.m. - Apex Mayor Jacques Gilbert released a statement on Tuesday, saying the town is aware of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement [ICE] conducting operations in the Triangle area.
Gilbert said the federal activities are not coordinated in partnership with the town. He also said Apex police do not participate in federal immigration enforcement efforts.
Also, he said the town did not receive advance notice or detailed information about the scope and timing of ICE's efforts.
"As mayor, I want every resident in the town of Apex to know that our officers are here to protect and support this community," Gilbert wrote. "We remain committed to ensuring that all our neighbors feel safe accessing town services, reporting emergencies and engaging with our officers with trust.
"We are here to serve, and my commitment to safety, support and compassion remains."
12:20 p.m. - Wake County Public School System Superintendent Robert Taylor provided a message (to) parents.
"We understand that recent developments regarding federal immigration orders may create questions and anxiety within our community," Taylor's statement reads in part.
Taylor added, "Please know that our commitment to you is unwavering. Our primary mission is, and always will be, to provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment for every single child, regardless of immigration status. We want all staff and families to feel secure in knowing that we are dedicated to protecting the privacy and rights of all our students, and we are legally required to enroll and educate all children residing within our boundaries."
The district also encouraged for families to communicate directly to the child's teacher and school if a student needs to be absent.
"Sharing the reason for the absence - whether it's illness, a family matter, or simply feeling worried - helps us understand how to best support your child," the district's statement reads.

Muhammad Sankari, a youth organizer with the Chicago-based Arab American Action Network, argued that black and Latino minorities should look to Muslims as the "gatekeepers of policing" in the United States because anti-terrorism efforts had provided police with greater arsenals that, he claimed, were now being turned on those communities. He said "justice" could only be found "in the streets," and not in "marble halls and marble buildings." Muslims are looking to cause conflict to justify instituting Shariah Law state by state, city by city across the US.
And there were others of the communist variety at the riots. One of the protest leaders was Michael McPhearson. Just like Lisa Fithian, McPhearson has connections to CPUSA and United for Peace and Justice. McPhearson is the co-chair of the Don't Shoot Coalition and addressed the crowd together with Julia Ho, a community organizer with Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment.
Then we have Maria Chapelle-Nadal who was elected to the Senate to succeed fellow Democrat Rita Heard Days of St. Louis. Chapelle-Nadal has numerous ties toCPUSA. Communist Party USAaffiliate, Julie Terbrock was a Legislative Assistant to Representative Maria Chappelle-Nadal. John L. Bowman, another CPUSA affiliate, ran her campaign to be elected as well. Chapelle-Nadal also attended the Missouri Communist Party USA's Friends of the People's World when they hosted their 18th annual 'Hershel Walker Peace and Justice Awards Breakfast' on Saturday, May 8th, 2010. You might recall Nadal as the one who said Missouri was now in a race war after the Grand Jury announcement came down.
You havethe race hustlers Jesse Jackson and especially, Al Sharpton. Sharpton was a great instigator in all this, stirring up the family of Michael Brown and the protesters wherever he could. He also claims to be a personal adviser to Barack Obama.
Which brings us to Governor Nixon andValerie Jarrett. Nixon loudly and publicly proclaimed that there was no government influence on the National Guard not showing up the first night of the riots as businesses burned and were looted, and police cars were rocked and set on fire. Nixon let the city burn as directed by Jarrett and the Obama Administration. It is acknowledged by the White House that Valerie Jarrett and Nixon were in close contact for the first 24 hours of the violent protests. It's not hard to see who called the shots there.
Doug Ross has this to share on Jarrett:
And who is our crypto-president?
In 2008, The Boston Globe exposed Jarrett's background as the failed chief executive of The Habitat Company, which managed government-subsidized housing complexes in Chicago from 2001 until 2006. Her leadership, if you can call it that, resulted in violations so egregious that many units were deemed "uninhabitable" and eventually the federal government was forced to seize the properties.
That year, Judicial Watch named Jarrett to its "Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians" list for her ties to the failed housing complexes and "other shady real estate scandals."
https://www.trevorloudon.com/2014/11/the-movers-and-shakers-behind-the-ferguson-riots/
Jarrett's family background is equally troubling. Her father-in-law was a card-carrying Communist who worked with Obama's mentor, Frank Marshall Davis.
Jarrett's grandfather Robert Taylor is reported to have served in a leadership role for the Soviet Union's American front group during World War II, when Stalin was still allied with the Third Reich. Taylor's "American Peace Mobilization" was a Soviet initiative designed to keep America out of the war so that Hitler and Stalin could divvy up Europe and Asia virtually unopposed.
So, in short, the first female President is a hard-core Leftist with an abysmal track record for decision-making, a horrifically failed tenure as a chief executive, a stunning inability to learn and a steely refusal to take responsibilities for her many failures.
But she's the president and you're not.
Which explains why Jarrett - against all historic precedent - was given a Secret Service detail for protection.
Iranian born Valerie Jarrett is more of a President than Obama is and she is an enemy within through and through. Digging all the way down to who is behind the Fergusion riots, you find a cadre of communists, radicals, Islamists, Progressives and in the end, the face behind the chaos is the Muslim Brotherhood-connected visage of the President's consigliere - the voice of Iran and a devout Marxist, Valerie Jarrett.

Tourist who unknowingly got $229k jackpot in Vegas finally gets prize

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/tourist-who-unknowingly-got-229k-jackpot-in-vegas-finally-gets-prize/ar-AATyxll?ocid=msedgntp
An Arizona tourist has been given a $229,999 jackpot that he unknowingly won on a slot machine in Las Vegas after it malfunctioned and didn't tell him his winnings.
Robert Taylor hit a jackpot at Treasure Island Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, on January 8 but a software error meant the machine didn't tell Mr Taylor or casino staff that he had won.
By the time casino staff were made aware of Mr Taylor's jackpot win he had already returned home to Arizona.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board then went into overdrive in a desperate attempt to track Mr Taylor down.
The Board initiated an extensive investigation including reviewing multiple hours of surveillance footage across multiple gaming properties and numerous witness interviews.
They also studied his electronic purchase records and even used analysis of rideshare data obtained by the Nevada Transportation Authority.
Chief of the board's enforcement division, James Taylor, said: 'The Nevada Gaming Control Board is charged with the strict regulation of the gaming industry, the protection of the gaming public, and ensuring that the industry benefits the State of Nevada.
'I commend the agents of the Enforcement Division, particularly Agent Dan Nuqui, for ensuring that the public trust in the gaming industry remains strong by spending countless hours over two weeks to ensure that a patron is awarded winnings owed to him.
'I'd also like to thank the Nevada Transportation Authority for their assistance in confirming the identity of the patron. This has been a great example of government working together for the benefit of the public.'
Mr Taylor was told about his $299,368.52 jackpot on January 28 and collected his winnings over the weekend.

I was looking in to the maker of Melania's Burberry jacket. I started looking into Marco Gobbetti, the CEO who stepped down in July and noticed he went to school in Glendale, AZ at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. That school was set up on an old air field in Glendale that trained pilots for the war. It has a big connection to Hollywood. The airfield was sold to the school for one dollar.
Thunderbird Field began in 1939 as a collaborative project by Hollywood agent and producer Leland Hayward, former Air Service pilot John H. "Jack" Connelly, and Life magazine photographer John Swope, founders of Southwest Airways. Backed by investors that included James Stewart, singer-actor Hoagy Carmichael, Cary Grant, Henry Fonda, Robert Taylor, and Margaret Sullavan, construction of the pilot training facility near Glendale, Arizona,[3] began on 2 January 1941, and was completed in three months.
The Wikepedia says there is a full list of graduates at the ASU site but it won't let me see it. I am not a member.
Alumni
Thunderbird has a number of notable graduates, including Walid Chammah, former chairman of Morgan Stanley;[19] Bob Dudley, the retired CEO of BP;[19] and Luis Alberto Moreno, former Ambassador of Colombia to the United States and the current president of the Inter-American Development Bank.[47] Lee Abbamonte, the youngest American to visit all 193 United Nations member states, graduated in 2010.[48] Ramon Laguarta is currently the CEO of PepsiCo,[49] Mark Smucker is the CEO of The J.M. Chicago is also a place that has had a number of historically troubled and ill-fated affordable housing developments, Cabrini-Green and the Robert Taylor Homes. At its height, Cabrini-Green was home to 20,000 people, living in mid- and high-rise apartment buildings. Over the years, gang violence and neglect created terrible conditions for the residents, and the name Cabrini-Green became symbolic of the problems associated with public housing in this country.
During the worst years of Cabrini-Green's miseries, residents endured rat and cockroach infestations, rotting garbage in trash chutes (once piled up to the 15th floor), the stench of urine and insecticide in hallways, malfunctioning elevators, graffiti on walls, as well as problems with basic utilities, such as frequently bursting pipes.
On the exterior, boarded-up windows, burned-out areas on the façade, and pavement instead of green spaceall in the name of economizing on maintenancecreated an atmosphere of neglect and decay. The high "open galleries" proved to be so dangerous that eventually, the Chicago Housing Authority enclosed the entire height of the buildings with a steel mesh, which increased the perception that the residents were imprisoned.

I would have to drive by Robert Taylor Homes and Cabrini Green while in the city on business. Everybody knew how bad it was to be anywhere near those places. I lived in fear that at a red light in front of one of these places they would run up and smash your car window with a brick, grab your purse and run back into the buildings. It was one of their favorite crimes. They had a fence around the entire complex with one entrance so they were obstructed from running into the place from all directions. Thus, the fence made it harder to run back in. No right minded cop would chase inside after them because they knew they might not make it out alive. Best thing they could have done was leveling those buildings. And no, I am not going to show you my tits! Move along, anon.

$40M for five wrongly convicted of Dixmoor rape, murder
In what appears to be the largest wrongful conviction settlement in state history, the Illinois State Police has agreed to pay $40 million to five men who were wrongly imprisoned for the rape and murder of a 14-year-old girl in Dixmoor, a spokesman for Gov. Pat Quinn said Tuesday.
The amount exceeds the $36 million Cook County agreed to pay in 1999 to four men known collectively as the Ford Heights Four, who were wrongly convicted of the 1978 murders of a young couple in the south suburb. It matches the amount the city of New York recently agreed to pay to the Central Park Five, the men who were arrested and convicted of the 1989 rape of a jogger.
Individually, Thaddeus Jimenez was awarded $25 million by a federal court jury in January 2012 for his wrongful conviction for a 1993 murder of a teenager on the city's Northwest Side. Arrested at 13, Jimenez spent 16 years in prison before he was exonerated in 2009.
The Dixmoor Five settlement will compensate the men who were arrested as teens for the November 1991 murder of Cateresa Matthews and given lengthy prison sentences. The three men who received the longest terms were freed in 2011 after DNA tests connected semen on Cateresa to another man, a felon who had been recently paroled to Cateresa's grandmother's neighborhood.
Attorneys for the men declined comment, but have scheduled a news conference for Wednesday morning. A spokeswoman for the State Police, Monique Bond, declined comment as well. But Dave Blanchette, a spokesman for Quinn, said that the staggering settlement amount was included in a supplemental appropriations bill that already had been signed by the governor.
News of the settlement came the same day Cook County prosecutors asked a judge to vacate the convictions of two men who had served 15 years for a double murder in Chicago after their confessions were undermined by evidence that a co-defendant who also confessed was in a police lock-up when the crime occurred.
The Dixmoor Five, all teens at the time of their convictions, alleged in their federal lawsuit that Dixmoor police and State Police ignored evidence implicating another suspect, instead focusing on the five young men. They alleged, too, that police coerced a confession from Robert Veal, who was 15 at the time, had an IQ of 56 and developmental disabilities, a common theme in wrongful convictions cases.
The lawsuit also alleged that detectives physically abused and threatened some of the other teens to obtain confessions. In addition, the lawsuit alleged police misled the mother of Robert Taylor, then 15, into believing he was to be questioned as a potential witness in a drug investigation. Instead, police took him in for questioning and beat and threatened him until he confessed to the rape and murder, according to the lawsuit.
Officials in Dixmoor have apologized for what they called "tragedies" but have not yet settled the case against the town.
Besides Veal and Taylor, James Harden, Jonathan Barr and Shainnie Sharp were convicted as part of the Dixmoor Five. Sharp and Veal were released after serving 10-year terms. The others received longer sentences and served close to two decades in prison before they were set free.

The Dixmoor 5 are five African-American men who, as teenagers in Dixmoor, Illinois, were falsely convicted of the 1991 rape and murder of 14-year-old Cateresa Matthews. At the time of arrest, the defendants, Robert Taylor, Jonathan Barr, James Harden, Robert Lee Veal and Shainne Sharp were all between the ages of 14 and 16.
During high pressure interviews, three of them gave false confessions leading to convictions for all five. The teens alleged that they were coerced into confessing, claiming they were physically abused and threatened during their interrogations. One of the boys who confessed had an IQ of 56 and developmental disabilities. Two pleaded guilty and testified against the others in exchange for shorter sentences. Both men have since recanted their testimony. Each received at least 80 years in prison.
In 2011, DNA tests connected semen on Cateresa to another man, Willie Randolph, a felon who had recently been released on parole. Randolph, a convicted sex offender, was later charged on September 1, 2016, for the rape and murder of Cateresa Matthews. A suit filed by the men alleges police withheld exculpatory evidence, including the DNA, from their defense teams. Their convictions were vacated November 3, 2011, and those remaining incarcerated were released.
In 2014, they reached a wrongful conviction settlement with the state of Illinois for $40 million, the largest wrongful conviction settlement in state history.

Michelle LaVaughn Robinson, (born January 17, 1964, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.), American first lady (2009-17), the wife of Barack Obama, 44th president of the United States. She was the first African American first lady.
Michelle Robinson, who grew up on Chicago's South Side, was the daughter of Marian, a homemaker, and Frasier Robinson, a worker in the city's water-purification plant. She studied sociology and African American studies at Princeton University (B.A., 1985) in New Jersey before attending Harvard Law School (J.D., 1988). Returning to Chicago, she took a job as a junior associate at Sidley & Austin (now Sidley Austin LLP), where she specialized in intellectual property law. In 1989, while at the firm, she met Barack Obama, who had been hired as a summer associate. Seeking a more public-service-oriented career path, in 1991 she became an assistant to Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley. The following year she and Barack, then a community organizer, were married. From 1992 to 1993 Michelle was the assistant commissioner for the Chicago Department of Planning and Development, and in 1993 she founded the Chicago branch of Public Allies, a leadership-training program for young adults; she served as the branch's executive director until 1996.

Working in corporate and real estate law until 1987, Jarrett moved into politics when she became deputy counselor for finance and development in the administration of Chicago Mayor Harold Washington. After Washington's death, Jarrett remained with the mayor's office and accepted several positions in the administration of his successor, Richard M. Daley.
https://www.britannica.com/biography/Valerie-Jarrett
"Valerie Jarrett comes from one of the most prominent African-American families in American history," O'Donnell says. It was also a family of "firsts." Jarrett's great-grandfather Robert Robinson Taylor is believed to be the first African-American graduate of MIT and the country's first accredited African-American architect. His son, Robert Rochon Taylor, was a housing activist who became the first African-American chairman of the Chicago Housing Authority.
Given her family's history, perhaps it's no surprise that Jarrett was drawn 25 years ago to Michelle Robinson and Barack Obama, a young Chicago couple who would go on to blaze trails of their own. After interviewing Michelle for a job in the Mayor's Office, she met Barack, her then-fiancé, and the trio became fast friends. The Obamas later bought a house on the same street as Jarrett's family. "The fact that I've known the president and the first lady for 25 years gives me a perspective that maybe others don't have," Jarrett says.

some nice intresting dig.
Michelle Obama might be connected to Valerie Jarett through family.
Robert Robinson Taylor might be the family connection, he is the great grandfather of Valerie, but I can't find the confirmation he is also family of Michelle Robinson.
Allen Taylor was her secret service agent, and they considered him more as a brother than an agent… that might be a clue.

It all starts in the late 1940s. Vernon Jarrett, Rozell (Prexy) Nesbitt, and Frank Marshall Davis were black agitators in Chicago, participating in various activities sponsored by the Communist Party. Vernon Jarrett was a council member of the Communist Party USA's youth wing American Youth for Democracy in 1948. Rozell (Prexy) Nesbitt was a card-carrying member of the Communist Party, and served on the Committees of Correspondence in the 1940s with Vernon Jarrett. Frank Marshall Davis was a card-carrying member of the Communist Party, and worked together with Vernon Jarrett on the Citizen's Committee to Aid Packing House Workers in Chicago.
At the same time, Robert Rochon Taylor, was the first head of the board of the Chicago Housing Authority from1943-1950 under Mayor Daley, the first black to hold a ranking position in the Chicago machine.
Robert Taylor had a daughter Barbara, who married Dr. James Bowman in 1954. Shortly after, the Bowmans moved to Shirraz, Iran where he practiced medicine. Their daughter Valerie was born there in 1956, becoming a native born citizen of Iran. They moved to London for one year in 1962, then back to Chicago, where Dr. Bowman joined the faculty at the Chicago University Medical Center.

Rahm 'let off steam by screaming' in the White House, and other tidbits from Valerie Jarrett's new book
Here are a few insights from her new book, "Finding My Voice," out Tuesday by Viking.
The Robert Taylor Homes were named for Jarrett's grandfather - and she played a role in the decision to demolish them. Jarrett is the granddaughter of Robert Rochon Taylor, the first African-American chair of the Chicago Housing Authority board. His name was given to the sprawling set of high-rise public housing complexes in Bronzeville that eventually became known for poverty and violence.
But years later, while working for the city, Jarrett played a role in re-imagining public housing as mixed-income communities. She was among decision-makers who agreed to demolish the Robert Taylor Homes and other public housing complexes.
Born in Iran, she had a British accent when she moved to Chicago as a child. Jarrett's father was noted physician James Bowman, who was also a professor of pathology at the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago. Her mother, Barbara Bowman, is an early childhood education expert and co-founder of the Erikson Institute, where at 90, she is still active.

FBI: Valerie Jarrett's father was in communication with Soviet agent who was charged with espionage and fled the U.S.
The startling connection between Loretta Fuddy's Islamic cult SUBUD network and twentieth-century Soviet spy rings is only the latest revelation to paint an increasingly troubling picture of President Obama.
Valerie Jarrett, President Obama's must trusted and influential adviser, is the product of Soviet communist espionage roots.
FBI files show that the father of senior Obama White House adviser Valerie Jarrett was in communication with paid Soviet agent Alfred Stern. Stern was charged with espionage and fled to Prague.
Declassified FBI files, obtained under FOIA by Judicial Watch, reveal that the father, the maternal grandfather, and the father-in-law of President Obama's closest adviser Valerie Jarrett "were hardcore Communists under investigation by the U.S. government."
Valerie Jarrett's grandfather Robert Taylor and Soviet spy Alfred Stern worked as business partners in low-income housing. Valerie Jarrett carried on this family business tradition. Valerie earned the moniker "slumlord after she became ensnared in several Chicago public/private low-income housing scandals.
Valerie Jarrett's father-in-law Vernon Jarrett, a communist propagandist for the Soviets, was placed on the FBI's Security Index. The Security Index was a secret list of individuals to be immediately arrested should any disruption break out between the U.S. and the Soviet Union.
Vernon Jarrett and Frank Marshall Davis simultaneously worked as writers at the radical Chicago Defender newspaper.
Valerie Jarrett's own father Dr. James Bowman was deemed a Soviet subversive by the FBI. Dr. Bowman, like Vernon Jarrett, was in touch with Soviet spy Alfred Stern.
The Jarrett family's extensive connections to Alfred Stern provide further evidence that President Obama is affiliated with a long-standing Soviet espionage cabal.
Any question about Stern being a Soviet spy dissipated when he fled the U.S. in 1956 to Prague before moving to the Soviet Union and Cuba.
Dr. Bowman left the U.S. military in 1955 and moved to Iran, claiming that racism and pay disparity had forced him to seek employment in Iran.
Stern was subsequently charged with espionage in absentia in 1957.
President Obama refers to Valerie Jarret as "family."
Frank Marshal Davis, another member of President Obama's "family," was also placed on the FBI's Security Index.
Davis was CPUSA member #47544 and was a suspected KGB agent. Davis was Barack Obama's Hawaii mentor.

Cabrini-Green Homes
Poverty and organized crime have long been associated with the area: a 1931 "map of Chicago's gangland" by Bruce-Roberts, Incorporated, notes Locust and Sedgwick as "Death Corner": "50 murders: count 'em".[15] At first, the housing was integrated and many residents held jobs. This changed in the years after World War II, when the nearby factories that provided the neighborhood's economic base closed and thousands were laid off. At the same time, the cash-strapped city began withdrawing crucial services[2] like police patrols, transit services, and routine building maintenance. Lawns were paved over to save on maintenance, failed lights were left for months, and apartments damaged by fire were simply boarded up instead of rehabilitated and reoccupied. Later phases of public housing development (such as the Green Homes, the newest of the Cabrini-Green buildings) were built on extremely tight budgets and suffered from maintenance problems due to the low quality of construction.
Unlike many of the city's other public housing projects such as Rockwell Gardens or Robert Taylor Homes, Cabrini-Green was situated in an affluent part of the city. The poverty-stricken projects were actually constructed at the meeting point of Chicago's two wealthiest neighborhoods, Lincoln Park and the Gold Coast. Less than a mile to the east sat Michigan Avenue with its high-end shopping and expensive housing. Specific gangs "controlled" individual buildings, and residents felt pressure to ally with those gangs in order to protect themselves from escalating violence.
During the worst years of Cabrini-Green's problems, vandalism increased substantially. Gang members and miscreants covered interior walls with graffiti and damaged doors, windows, and elevators. Rat and cockroach infestations were commonplace, rotting garbage stacked up in clogged trash chutes (it once piled up to the 15th floor), and basic utilities (water, electricity, etc.) often malfunctioned and were left unrepaired. On the exterior, boarded-up windows, burned-out areas of the façade, and pavement instead of green space-all in the name of economizing on maintenance-created an atmosphere of decay and government neglect. The balconies were fenced in to prevent residents from emptying garbage cans into the yard, and from falling or being thrown to their deaths. This created the appearance of a large prison tier, or of animal cages, which further enraged community leaders of the residents.[16]

Q Research General #3498: Nervous Nellie Edition
She is "incredibly plugged in," said banker William Daley, brother of Democratic Mayor Richard Daley. "I can't think of another female on everybody's list for a corporate board seat."
The White House appointment means Jarrett, 52, will give up her job as chief executive of Habitat Co., one of the Midwest's largest property-management firms. She has already begun to step down from an array of civic boards and from corporate directorships that have brought her more than $350,000 a year in cash and benefits.
Although Jarrett's connections generally have proven profitable, they have also led to some notable embarrassments by enmeshing Habitat in the management of two dilapidated low-income housing projects. Those problems have recently attracted national attention because of Jarrett's ties to Obama.
"Do I enjoy seeing our name in the newspaper associated with an extremely troubled property?" Jarrett said. "No I don't, but I also have confidence that people know our reputation and value the job that we do."
Jarrett was born into the city's African-American elite. Her grandfather Robert Taylor was the first black chairman of the Chicago Housing Authority.Jarrett was a young City Hall lawyer in 1988 when she met Richard M. Daley at the wedding of her friend John Rogers, a prominent investment adviser.Daley was elected mayor a year later, and Jarrett rose quickly to the post of planning commissioner in his cabinet. Along the way, she hired a lawyer named Michelle Obama, who introduced Jarrett to her husband, Barack.
Jarrett became a good friend of both Obamas, serving as chairman of the finance committee for Obama's 2004 campaign for U.S. Senate and a key adviser in the presidential race.
Over the years, Jarrett has accumulated an astounding array of directorships. She has been on about 17 boards, a total that doesn't include government agencies such as the Chicago Transit Authority, where she was Daley's hand-picked chairman from 1995 to 2003.
Jarrett has been a director along with former Republican Gov. James Thompson at Navigant Consulting, an international consulting firm that has contracts worth about $2 million a year with the state.
"She brings – aside from common sense and integrity – a wealth of contacts in the Chicago community," Thompson said.
Since 2005, she also has sat on the board of RREEF America REIT II, a real estate investment trust that has obtained investments of about $23 million from the CTA pension fund and more than $120 million from state pension funds.
Until last year, Jarrett was chairman of the Chicago Stock Exchange and was a director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. She has been vice chairman of the University of Chicago's board of trustees, chairman of the university's hospital board and a vice chairman of the team preparing the city's bid for the 2016 Olympics – one of the mayor's most cherished initiatives.

VJ commie family tree & family friends. Wealth of names to dig!
Valerie Jarrett's late father-a physician named James Bowman-had a lengthy FBI file showing that he was a Communist who often collaborated with other Communists based principally in Chicago. In 1950, for instance, Bowman communicated with a paid Soviet agent named Alfred Stern, who later fled the U.S. to Prague when he was indicted on espionage charges that were ultimately confirmed beyond doubt-specifically, he had conspired to transmit military and political information to the Soviet Union. Bowman was also a member of the Association of Internes and Medical Students, a group that, according to his FBI file, engaged in un-American activities and "has long been a faithful follower of the Communist Party line."
Valerie Jarrett's mother is the early-childhood-education author Barbara Taylor Bowman (born 1928), who in 1966 co-founded a Chicago-based graduate school in child development known as the Erikson Institute, named after the psychoanalyst Erik Erikson. In 1950 Erikson became a hero to the Left by choosing to resign from his professorship at the University of California rather than sign an anti-Communist loyalty oath as the school required. The Erikson Institute's radical orientation is reflected in the fact that its board of trustees has included such figures as Bernardine Dohrn, wife of the former Weather Underground terrorist and lifelong Marxist Bill Ayers, and Tom Ayers, father of the same lifelong Marxist.
Jarrett's maternal grandfather was a Chicagoan named Robert Taylor, the first African-American head of the Chicago Housing Authority. In the 1940s he was involved with such Communist fronts as the American Peace Mobilization and the Chicago Civil Liberties Committee. A fellow member of these groups was Frank Marshall Davis, the Communist journalist who in the 1970s would mentor a young Barack Obama. An FBI document shows that Taylor, like Valerie Jarrett's father, was believed to have been "in contact" with the aforementioned Soviet agent Alfred Stern "on a number of occasions."
Valerie Jarrett's maternal grandmother, Dorothy Taylor, was an activist with Planned Parenthood in its early years. Planned Parenthood was founded in 1942 by Margaret Sanger, a member of the New York Socialist Party and a eugenicist who favored the use of use birth control to limit the reproduction of society's "least intelligent and fit" members. Toward that end, Sanger in 1939 created the so-called "Negro Project" specifically to prevent black people from breeding. Her Birth Control Review magazine once published an article emphasizing the "urgent need" for "eugenic sterilization." That piece was penned by none other than Ernst Rüdin, who, as Jonah Goldberg points out, was Adolf Hitler's director of sterilization and a founder of the Nazi Society for Racial Hygiene.
In 1983 she wed Dr. William Robert Jarrett, son of the Chicago Sun-Times reporter Vernon Jarrett. In the 1940s Vernon Jarrett had been the first nationally syndicated black columnist for the Communist-influenced Chicago Defender, where he wrote pieces extolling the Communist poet Langston Hughes and lifelong Stalinists like W.E.B. DuBois and Paul Robeson. Also in the '40s, Vernon Jarrett was a leader of the Chicago chapter of American Youth for Democracy-the youth wing of the Communist Party USA. Moreover, he served on a publicity committee for the Packinghouse Workers Union, a Chicago-based entity dominated by the Communist Party. In each of these endeavors, Vernon Jarrett had close contact with the Communist Frank Marshall Davis-who, as noted above, later became Barack Obama's mentor.
According to his FBI files, Vernon Jarrett was a leading Chicago-based Communist. "For a period of time," reports Judicial Watch, his name "appeared on the FBI's Security Index and [he] was considered a potential Communist saboteur who was to be arrested in the event of a conflict with the [USSR]. His FBI file reveals that he was assigned to write propaganda for a Communist Party front group in Chicago that would 'disseminate the Communist Party line among ... the middle class.'"

Eventually, the time came for Valerie to explore love and marriage. In 1983 she wed Dr. William Robert Jarrett, son of the Chicago Sun-Times reporter Vernon Jarrett. And Valerie got along just splendidly with her new father-in-law, who surely must've reminded her very much of Daddy and Gramps
You see, in the 1940s Vernon Jarrett had been the first nationally syndicated black columnist for the Communist-influenced Chicago Defender, where he wrote pieces extolling the Communist poet Langston Hughes and lifelong Stalinists like W.E.B. Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank tells us that Valerie Jarrett's connection to Obama is "deep and personal," calling her "the real center of Obama's inner circle." Milbank describes Jarrett as someone in a "position of unparalleled influence over the president." Obama himself has acknowledged that he solicits Jarrett's input on every decision he makes.
Jarrett, for her part, puts it this way: "We have kind of a mind meld. And chances are, what he wants to do is what I'd want to do." "I kind of know what makes them [the Obamas] who they are," she adds.

Robert Rochon Taylor, an African-American activist and the first African American chairman of the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA).[
Robert Taylor Homes was a public housing project in Bronzeville on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois, bordered along State Street between Pershing Road (39th Street) and 54th Street alongside the Dan Ryan Expressway. The project was named for Robert Rochon Taylor, an African-American activist and the first African American chairman of the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA).[1] It was a part of the State Street Corridor which included other CHA housing projects: Stateway Gardens, Harold Ickes Homes, Dearborn Homes and Hillard Homes

Mayor Daley's Housing Reforms
The mess began with a massive wave of housing projects. When construction of the Robert Taylor Homes, named after an African-American activist and former CHA board member, was completed in 1962, it was the largest public housing project in the nation, with 4,415 apartments in 28 high-rise buildings. Richard J. Daley, the current Mayor Richard M. Daley's father, was mayor of Chicago.
In time, the Robert Taylor Homes and many other CHA properties became open sores of poverty and crime.
Valerie Jarrett is Robert Taylor's granddaughter.

Dig on VJ pre-Obama presidency.
One of Jarrett's grandfathers was Robert Taylor, once the head of the Chicago Housing Authority.
She started as the deputy corporation counsel for finance and development and then, two years after Washington died and Richard M. Daley won a special election for mayor, she was named deputy chief of staff. Finally, she ran the Department of Planning and Development for four years.
In addition to her position at Habitat, Jarrett is the chairman of the board of the Chicago Transit Authority-a part-time job and a full-time challenge for which she is paid $50,000 a year. The CTA has 11,000 employees and an annual operating budget of $850 million, and Jarrett has made it a point of pride to respond to every letter she receives about the CTA. "Just this morning I was reading a letter from someone who was furious about a bus driver. I mean, this person was almost too irate to write."
public housing - family business
Not that her current job is a piece of cake. "We face some very tough issues here," she says. Certainly one of them involves public housing. In 1987, The Habitat Company was appointed by a federal judge to step in where the Chicago Housing Authority had failed-in developing family public housing units. Along with luxury high-rises, Habitat now builds all those units. That is one of the strange twists in Jarrett's life. Her maternal grandfather was Robert Taylor, the former head of the Chicago Housing Authority and the person for whom the South Side public housing towers were named. "It's funny because he was into housing," she says, "and now, many years later, here I am. Another irony is that he resigned from the CHA in frustration because he was unable to get elected officials to go along with integrating public housing into the urban landscape, and that is exactly what Habitat is doing right now. So I feel I'm continuing his legacy."

The history of the Internet begins with the development of electronic computers in the 1950s. Initial concepts of wide area networking originated in several computer science laboratories in the United States, United Kingdom, and France. The US Department of Defense awarded contracts as early as the 1960s, including for the development of the ARPANET project, directed by Robert Taylor and managed by Lawrence Roberts. The first message was sent over the ARPANET in 1969 from computer science Professor Leonard Kleinrock's laboratory at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to the second network node at Stanford Research Institute (SRI).

Valerie Bowman, (born November 14, 1956, Sh?r?z, Iran), American lawyer, businesswoman, and politician who was a senior adviser (2009-17) to U.S. Pres. Barack Obama.
Bowman was born in Iran and spent much of her childhood traveling abroad, as her father was a physician who assisted developing countries in establishing health care systems. In 1963 her family settled in Chicago. (Bowman's grandfather Robert Taylor was the first African American head of the Chicago Housing Authority.) She later attended Stanford University (A.B., 1978) and the University of Michigan Law School (J.D., 1981). In 1983 she married William Robert Jarrett, a physician; the couple divorced in 1988.
Daley.

Allen Taylor was her secret service agent, and they considered him more as a brother than an agent... that might be a clue.
