It might be time to stop talking.
Although King wrote the novel "Rage" when he was still in high school in 1965, he didn't publish it until a decade later after his other works found success. It first appeared as a paperback under King's pseudonym Richard Bachman in 1977 and then was published in 1985 in a collection of short novels, titled The Bachman Books.

Just a little nug, don't know if this has been discussed, but, Steven King wrote a few books under the alias Richard Bachman. One of note is called "Rage" and is about a school shooter. It's very hard to find, but copies are out there.

I really enjoyed The Long Walk (as Richard Bachman) as well as the Gunslinger Saga. Blaine the Mono was my favorite character of fictional literature. I liked his puzzles.
