New Hampshire's first transgender public official has been charged with stalking a victim and violating a restraining order.
November 22, 2022
Stacie Laughton, who was recently reelected as a Democrat to New Hampshire's State House, has been arrested for alleged stalking, Reduxx reported.
Laughton was arrested on November 12th after allegedly disobeying a restraining order that an unidentified woman placed against him in July.
This was not the first instance in which Laughton allegedly violated the restraining order. He was also arrested in September after allegedly trying to contact the victim in August. Reduxx reported, "There was virtually no media coverage of his September arrest, which likely meant voters were unaware of it ahead of the November 8 elections."
New Hampshire's first openly transgender elected official has been arrested on charges of stalking a woman.
Stacie Laughton was re-elected to the state's House of Representatives on November 8 despite having a lengthy criminal history.https://t.co/mo33zz4xRC
- REDUXX (@ReduxxMag) November 21, 2022
Laughton, who ran as a "Libertarian Democrat" in Nashua's 4th Ward, was reelected and has a seat in the Granite State's House of Representatives.
The representative also ran into trouble with the law in 2021. Authorities say he unlawfully used the Nashua emergency system, sending seven texts to police and prompting them to show up to his address before denying sending the texts.
Laughton, the state's first transgender public official, was first elected to the legislature in 2012. He withdrew before entering office after it was revealed he had been convicted of a felony for identity and credit card fraud, as well as falsifying physical evidence. That conviction resulted in a four-month prison sentence.
He attempted to run in subsequent elections before being deemed ineligible to hold public office at the time.
In addition to these current pending charges, Laughton was arrested in 2015 for making a bomb threat to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, which he blamed on a mental health episode.
He was then charged with a misdemeanor and sentenced to a six-month suspended jail term.
One Democrat, Representative Timothy Horrigan, defended Laughton on Twitter, saying that he "is basically a good person" and is "not violent or abusive or harmful to anyone other than herself," referring to the man with feminine pronouns.
FWIW, Rep.Laughton is a lifelong Granite Stater.
She's gotten into a lot of trouble over the years & she keeps getting into trouble, but she's basically a good person. She's not violent or abusive, or harmful to anyone other than herself.
- Timothy Horrigan (@TimothyHorrigan) November 15, 2022
Republican legislator Di Lothrop, the co-chair of the Nashua Republican Committee, criticized Laughton while also using feminine pronouns to refer to the man, saying, "She has a huge problem. She's been through this before, she's been in prison. Obviously, the lesson wasn't learned."
Paul Smith, the Clerk of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, pointed out that there is no official mechanism to oust a representative who has been charged with a crime. "There are no rules. There is no automatic process for expulsion," he noted.

Kavanaugh cites landmark gay rights cases in argument about abortion restrictions
Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh seemed to suggest earlier this week that landmark LGBTQ cases could support overturning federal abortion rights.
The Supreme Court heard 90 minutes of oral arguments Wednesday concerning a Mississippi law that would ban almost all abortions in the state after 15 weeks of pregnancy.
A majority of the court's conservative justices appeared prepared to uphold the law and possibly overturn Roe v. Wade, the 1973 landmark decision holding that women have a constitutional right to have an abortion before fetal viability, usually around 24 weeks.
The crux of Wednesday's oral arguments centered around whether the justices should preserve or walk back on precedent, a court decision that is considered authority for subsequent cases involving similar or identical circumstances. The court's liberal justices warned that reversing a decades-old ruling would politicize the country's highest court.
However, citing two landmark gay rights cases - Lawrence v. Texas, which struck down state laws criminalizing consensual same-sex activity in 2003, and Obergefell v. Hodges, which resulted in the legalization of same-sex marriage across the United States in 2015 - Kavanaugh suggested that overruling the court's previous opinions was standard procedure.
"If you think about some of the most important cases, the most consequential cases in this court's history, there's a string of them where the cases overruled precedent," Kavanaugh said. "If we think that the prior precedents are seriously wrong, if that, why then doesn't the history of this court's practice with respect to those cases tell us that the right answer is actually a return to the position of neutrality and - and not stick with those precedents in the same way that all those other cases didn't?"
The lawyers who argued in favor of gay rights in the landmark LGBTQ cases offered differing views on the validity of the argument by Kavanaugh, who was appointed in 2018 by then-President Donald Trump.
Mary Bonauto, who argued on behalf of same-sex couples in Obergefell v. Hodges and now serves as the Civil Rights Project director at GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders, or GLAD, challenged Kavanaugh's analogy.
"It's a pretty thin interpretation of a reversal," she told NBC News. "The reversals that Justice Kavanaugh is citing were about righting wrongs. They were centered on the rights of individuals and expanding constitutional protections to more individuals, not about taking rights away."
When the court ruled in favor of same-sex couples in Obergefell v. Hodges, it effectively overturned its prior decision in Baker v. Nelson. That ruling centered on Jack Baker and Mike McConnell, who in 1970 were blocked from obtaining a marriage license. The high court rejected the men's case in 1972 without ever hearing oral arguments.
Bonauto argued against Kavanaugh's comparison of reversing Baker v. Nelson to the potential reversal of Roe v. Wade.
"There was no briefing, there was no argument. They just essentially utterly dismissed the case for basically: 'There's no way same-sex couples seeking to marry have claim under the Constitution.' The end," she said.
LGBTQ advocates largely agreed with Bonauto, saying that the landmark gay rights decisions in Obergefell v. Hodges and Lawrence v. Texas "reflected the growing societal understanding of our common humanity."
"To that we say, NOT IN OUR NAME," Sharon McGowan, legal director of the LGBTQ advocacy group Lambda Legal, said of Kavanaugh's argument in a statement Wednesday. "Those landmark LGBTQ decisions EXPANDED individual liberty, not the opposite."
But Paul Smith, who argued in favor of LGBTQ rights in Lawrence v. Texas - which overruled the court's 1986 decision in Bowers v. Hardwick - suggested that Kavanaugh's comparison was valid. Smith said that in order to win Lawrence v. Texas, he also had to bolster the argument for the court overriding precedent.
"We really, actually made those arguments ourselves in Lawrence because that was the whole point - we had to get rid of Bowers v. Hardwick," Smith, who is now a professor at Georgetown University Law Center, said. "It is certainly one of the most prominent examples of an overruling that's happened in the last 20 years."
"People talk about stare decisis when they like the prior decision and not when they don't," Smith added, referring to the legal term for following what the court has ruled previously.
But during the oral arguments, Justice Sonia Sotomayor raised the question of whether overruling Roe v. Wade could open the floodgates for the court's 6-3 conservative majority to overrule a broad swath of previous opinions it does not agree with.

American idle:New Hampshire House holds drive-in session
DURHAM, N.H. – The usual shoulder-to-shoulder was more like bumper-to-bumper for the New Hampshire House of Representatives on Wednesdayas one of the world's largest legislative bodies convened from the socially distant confines of their cars instead of the Statehouse.
The start of the legislative session was delayed by over an hour as cars lined up to get into the lot at the University of New Hampshire where the session was being held.
Legislators were greeted by a handful ofprotesters who felt the session has failed to reasonably accommodate members with disabilities. One sign read that drive-ins are for movies and making out, "NOT for the NH State Legislature!"
Rep. John Potucek, R-Derry, said he got there before 8 a.m.
"It's uncomfortable and it's unique," he said. "It's history."
"When everybody gets their vaccinations and we go back to the House, we'll go back to business as usual, and this will be a point of New Hampshire history which will never be repeated," he said. "Hey, this is 'Live Free or Die.' We are here to do the business we were elected to do."
Minority leader Renny Cushing, D-Hampton, said he was stuck in traffic for nearly an hour. "It kind of reminded me of going to a Patriots football game," he said.
"Rather than meet in a manner that is safe, convenient and protects public health, they've gone through this elaborate scheme that forces people out of their homes," he said. "It's just absurd."
As business got underway, House Clerk Paul Smith advised, "If you're having trouble with voting, please put on your hazard lights." Some lawmakers also honked their horns to get the staff's attention.
The 24-member Senate also convened Wednesday, but in a fully remote session. House Democrats had pushed for the same, but acting Speaker Sherm Packard, R-Londonderry, said that wasn't possible because the House hadn't adopted rules to allow remote sessions. He also has said doing so would cost $300,000 to set up a secure voting system.
Instead, the 400 House lawmakers parked in alternating spots in staggered rows facing a large movie screen in Durham.
The House clerk and speaker will conduct the session from a heated platform, while members watch and listen via the screen or through their car radios. Microphones will be brought to their windows for questions and debate, and voting will conducted via electronic devices similar to those used during the indoor arena session.
Since the coronavirus pandemic began, the House has met indoors in an ice arena and outside on an athletic field at UNH.
But after House Speaker Dick Hinch, R-Merrimack, died of COVID-19 a week after being sworn in during the Dec. 2 outdoor gathering, Republican House leaders scheduled a drive-in movie style session to elect his replacement and adopt rules for the next two years.

Other Possible Victims...
Apart from the above victims, there were several other people (some less known) who are very likely to have been victims of the 9/11 cover-up. Some of them are discussed below. This of course excludes non-American victims of the cover-up, who are probably more than the American victims.
Prasanna Kalahasthi: Wife of a Flight 11 passenger, who committed suicide in strange circumstances on 20th October 2001. Some 9/11 Truthers believe that there were no actual passengers on the plane. For example, Kalahasthi's husband was never even listed on the original flight manifest!
Paul Smith: Pilot of the WABC7 chopper that filmed some dramatic footage of 9/11, died in a car accident on 8th October 2007, that involved a cab ploughing into a sidewalk outside a crowded restaurant..
Michael H. Doran: A lawyer who volunteered to represent victims of 9/11 for compensation. On 28th April 2009, Michael's private plane crashed into a wooded area.
Salvatore Princiotta: A fireman on the "Ladder 9" fire truck that arrived at the World Trade Center on 9/11. This fire truck was photographed in the curious condition of having all of its windows blown while other parts remained intact. Princiotta was found murdered in his Arizona apartment on May 14th 2007.
Deborah Jeane Palfrey: The DC Madame who led a high end prostitute ring. When Palfrey started singing, she mentioned prior knowledge of 9/11 being ignored. Wayne Madsen believes that she was probably referring to one of her "clients," Jack Abramoff, entertaining two alleged 9/11 hijackers on his casino boat! Palfrey allegedly committed suicide on 1st May 2008. Alex Jones was so certain that she would be suicided that he had her declare on air that she would not commit suicide. Her suicide note was not in her handwriting.
Wendy Burlingame: The daughter of AA pilot Charles Burlingame whose plane crashed into the Pentagon was killed in a suspicious fire on December 6th 2006.
John Patrick Bedell: The 9/11 Truther was killed on 4th March 2010 at a Pentagon security checkpoint by two Pentagon police officers. We are told that Bedell started shooting first. But it could have been just as likely that he was visiting the Pentagon to further research his 9/11 conspiracy theories.
Gerard Holmgren: The Australian musician who became an Internet activist following 9/11, and pioneered the "no-planes" theory died in unclear circumstances. he is also known for a popular satire on 9/11.

The Kavanaugh effect: Kennedy's retirement looms large in gerrymandering case
Two cases before the Supreme Court Tuesday could yield rulings where the replacement of Justice Anthony Kennedy by Justice Brett Kavanaugh is acutely felt. The cases are related to partisan gerrymandering. Kavanaugh, the court's newest member and former judge on the federal appeals court in the District of Columbia, has yet to confront partisanship in the redistricting process, leaving his view shrouded in mystery.
"We don't really have a good track record to draw on, and it's a bit of a mystery going into this how some of the most conservative justices are going to view gerrymandering at this point," Campaign Legal Center Vice President Paul Smith said. But the key to earning Kavanaugh's vote could be conservative Chief Justice John Roberts, whose lead Kavanaugh appears to be following.
"If it turns out one or more of the plaintiff groups here have found a way to appeal to Chief Justice Roberts, I think it would be very possible to get Kavanaugh as well," Smith said. Partisan gerrymandering opponents had looked to Kennedy as the swing vote, as he previously suggested a voting map may be so infected with politics it is unconstitutional. But the composition of the court changed after Kennedy's retirement last year, and his replacement by Kavanaugh shifted the Supreme Court rightward. Conservatives tend to think the courts should not have a role in deciding how states draw districts.
The justices will hear arguments in cases involving congressional districts in North Carolina and Maryland, which lower courts struck down as unconstitutional because of an excessive injection of politics. The cases raise the question of whether extreme partisan gerrymandering runs afoul of the Constitution, which was posed to the justices last term. But the court issued technical rulings in challenges to voting maps from Maryland - before the court again Tuesday - and Wisconsin.
Kavanaugh hasn't ruled on any redistricting cases so his views on the issue are unknown, and while he clerked for Kennedy on the Supreme Court, he is "his own man, he's his own justice, he has his own views," Loyola Law School professor Justin Levitt said. "I think he shares Justice Kennedy's concerns and the concern of a lot of the justices with the use of state power to punish people for what they believe," Levitt said. "There's only one person who knows how far that principle will carry, and I'm not him. But I wouldn't be surprised to see Kavanaugh, like the other justices on the court, really putting the questions for the advocates for the states about whether this is constitutionally acceptable." The challenge to Maryland's 6th Congressional District was brought by GOP voters who say the state's Democrats retaliated against them for their support of Republicans in violation of the First Amendment.

Professor on French Interior Minister Resignation: 'It's Perfectly Logical'
French President Emmanuel Macron has suffered a blow to his presidency with the announcement that his interior minister, Gerard Collomb, will resign next year. Sputnik spoke to Professor Paul Smith of the University of Nottingham to get his take on this string of resignations in French government, and how it has affected Macron's popularity.
Sputnik: Why have we seen three of Macron's ministers resigning in the space of a month?
Dr Paul Smith: I think it's very odd; even the French media have caught this kind of 'flu' as it were, that everything that goes wrong is clearly a weakness in Macron and the system. For me, it's perfectly logical that someone like Collomb would do that - it's a staged withdrawal from cabinet, he's not resigned over a key issue, he's announced that he will be standing down. We're going to see a number of key figures among Macron supporters leading the electoral fight in municipal elections - in Paris, in Bordeaux, in Marseille. In all of these cities Macron needs his heavyweights to be deployed and because Collomb is well established in Lyon - he used to be Mayor for the city but also senator for the department - he has the contacts and he has the reputation. So I think there's a kind of blindness in the media to see any kind of weakness. I see it as a very canny strategy.
Sputnik: However, it's also true that Donald Trump's poll ratings are better than Macron's - a Kantar Sofres Onepoint poll published on Monday found only 19% of French people had a positive view of Macron, 60% expressed a negative opinion - quite a drop since his time of election; what do you think the main reason for this is?
Dr Paul Smith: I think the problem for Macron is that as yet nobody is really seeing any kinds of benefits from the reforms he has introduced. But he is developing... The political system is much more... There is a much more vigorous opposition - there's a lot of opposition to Donald Trump but it's not organized - there's a much more vigorous opposition in terms of trade unions and political parties. Not that that opposition is particularly unified in France but there are a lot of different places where people can express their opposition and so that's filtering through. So I think the problem is a year and a half into quite a significant reform program, and it's yet to yield the returns. I think also you can't get away from the fact that Macron comes out with statements sometimes and you really wonder what he was thinking when he said it. Sputnik: To what extent do you think the Benalla scandal has affected him and will continue to affect the President's popularity?
Dr Paul Smith: I think it has affected him. Benalla himself has turned out to be something of a slippery character in the sense that today, in his hearing before the Senate commission, he was full of contrition and full of careful explanations and so forth and in previous interviews he's been much more aggressive and much more forthright. I think people are trying to get their heads around exactly who this person is. I think it did Macron harm back in the spring and the summer. I think now the French public are beginning to get a bit frustrated by what's going on. But the questions that are being asked of him by the Senate commission are still pertinent questions; and the affair will drag on.

2013
Excerpts
Glencore Xstrata plc is a Swiss-based diversified natural resources commodity company formed in May 2013 after Glencore's $30 billion dollar acquisition of mining giant Xstrata.
Both Glencore and Xstrata have well-established reputations for human rights, environmental, and trade violations. Sagittarius Mines Inc. (SMI), a 62.5% subsidiary of Xstrata Copper, runs the Tampakan Copper-Gold Project on the Philippine island of Mindanao.5 Commercial production is set to begin in 2019. The project requires that 5,000 indigenous people be resettled, puts community livelihoods at risk, and threatens vital water sources... , inOctober 2012, soldiers killed an indigenous woman (Juvy Capion) and hertwo sons belonging to the B'laan, a tribal group that opposes the project.7 A court case against them was dismissed in October 2013.8 SMI reportedly funds military and paramilitary forces in several communities around the mine.9
Espinar's mayor, Oscar Mollohuanca believes that the Tintaya mine is responsible for this contamination.16 Anti-mine protests in May/June 2012 resulted in two deaths and multiple injuries. Mayor Mollohuanca was among those arrested for disturbing the public order. Peru's prime minister, Oscar Valdes, labeled the protesters as extremists and declared a state of emergency in the region, stripping inhabitants of many of their basic rights for 30 days.17
In June 2013, a Peruvian Glencore Xstrata subsidiary (33.75%), the Antamina copper mine, was fined $77,000 for spilling 45 tons of toxic slurry into the neighboring community of Cajacay.18
Xstrata has held a 24.9% stake in the controversial British mining company, Lonmin, since 2008.21 In a decisive step towards consolidating power over Lonmin's operations, Glencore Xstrata recently appointed Gary Nagle, (Glencore head of alloys division [Now CEO of Glencore, https://www.glencore.com/media-and-insights/insights/meet-our-new-ceo-gary-nagle]), and Paul Smith, (Glencore head of strategy and communications), to Lonmin's board of directors in September 2013.22
In August 2012, Lonmin was involved in one of the most deadly police clashes since the end of apartheid. The South African Police Services (SAPS) used violent force to subdue protestors at Lonmin's Marikana platinum mine, killing 34 and wounding 78.23 Workers were protesting for higher wages. In September 2013, South Africa's Marikana Commission of Inquiry discovered inconsistencies and falsehoods in police accounts of the incident that suggested doctoring. The Commission is still performing its investigation, however, it has advised the South African Police Services to consult with their legal advisors. Thus far, no arrests have been made.24
The last edition of Dirty Profits stated that the European Investment Bank suspended loans to Glencore over governance concerns, particularly in connection with allegations of tax evasion at Glencore's Mopani Copper mine in Zambia. Although the investigation is complete, the EIB has restrained from publishing the results despite holding to its decision to let the loans remain frozen. Christian Aid, a British development charity, has been urging the EIB to make the results of their investigation into Mopani Copper mines public.27
In March 2013, Reuters reported that Glencore possibly violated international trade restrictions by providing raw alumina to an Iranian firm that supplies Iran's nuclear program "in a manner that circumvents sanctions."28 Glencore is also suspected of being involved in a price fixing scandal to artificially inflate the price of aluminum. The United States' Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has issued a "do not destroy" order pending a formal investigation of these allegations.29
Falcondo, an Xstrata subsidiary in the Dominican Republic, is accused of undervaluing the average price of nickel extracted from their Loma Peguera and Loma Ortega mine sites and failing to report their use of other metals, like iron and cobalt that make up their ferronickel alloy, thus dodging around $100 million in tax dollars owed to the DominicanRepublic since 2007.30 Apublic complaintagainst Falcondo was filed in February 2013.31
There are many more companies mentioned in this report.

==New Hampshire's first transgender public official has been charged with stalking a victim and violating a restraining order. ==
November 22, 2022
==Stacie Laughton, who was recently reelected as a Democrat== to New Hampshire's State House, has been arrested for alleged stalking, Reduxx reported.

Laughton, who ran as a "Libertarian Democrat" in Nashua's 4th Ward, was reelected and has a seat in the Granite State's House of Representatives. ==The representative also ran into trouble with the law in 2021. Authorities say he unlawfully used the Nashua emergency system, sending seven texts to police and prompting them to show up to his address before denying sending the texts.==
She's not violent or abusive, or harmful to anyone other than herself.(HIMSELF)
