OLYMPIA, Wash. - Washington Attorney General Nick Brown and a coalition of states sued the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency today, arguing the agencies are unlawfully attaching political conditions to billions of dollars in federal counterterrorism and emergency preparedness funding.

In March, a coalition of state attorneys general sued to stop the merger between Nexstar and TEGNA, which is KING 5's parent company. The merger, which combines the nation's largest and third-largest TV station conglomerates, would cover 80% of American households.
Washington is not a part of the Nexstar/TEGNA lawsuit.
Kek, of course Seattle is not part of that lawsuit. Seattle likes their KING 5.

Washington State AG Warns Citizen Journalists To Stop Investigating Somali Daycares Or Face Potential Hate Crime Charges
The Washington state attorney general released a statement on X Tuesday evening warning independent journalists to stop investigating fraudulent Somali daycare centers or they could be charged with a hate crime.
"My office has received outreach from members of the Somali community after reports of home-based daycare providers being harassed and accused of fraud with little to no fact-checking," State AG Nick Brown stated.
"We are in touch with the state Department of Children, Youth, and Families regarding the claims being pushed online and the harassment reported by daycare providers. Showing up on someone's porch, threatening, or harassing them isn't an investigation. Neither is filming minors who may be in the home. This is unsafe and potentially dangerous behavior."
Harmeet Dhillon, the Assistant Attorney General for Civil rights, issued a warning of her own in reaction to the Washington state AG's post.
"ANY state official who chills or threatens to chill a journalist's 1A rights will have some 'splainin to do," she wrote on X, Wednesday morning.
"[The DOJ Civil Rights Division] takes potential violations of 18 USC ? 242 seriously!" Dhillon added.
This statute, known as the Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law, makes it a crime for any person acting under the pretense of law to willfully deprive another individual of rights, privileges, or immunities secured by the Constitution or laws of the United States.
The clash of the AGs came after Youtuber Nick Shirley exposed about a dozen Somali-owned, state-funded childcare facilities in Minneapolis, Minnesota, that appeared to be completely deserted.
Shirley produced a 42-minute video, which has been viewed over 131 million times on X since it was posted on December 26, alleging that Minnesota governor Tim Walz (D.) "knew about the fraud but never reported it."
Inspired by Shirley's bombshell report, citizen journalists in multiple states with large Somali populations have launched their own investigations in recent days.
In the Kent, Washington area Tuesday, YouTuber Chris Sims, a self-described "gonzo journalist," visited seven suspicious Somali childcare sites and reported that they were "very unhappy" to see him.
Sims posted a video of him approaching a private home listed as a childcare facility that appeared to be not as advertised.
"There was no sign of kids or being a Daycare facility," Sims wrote.
"I was told by a few they weren't Daycares despite receiving tax payer dollars. One yelled 'Call the police' behind the door."

Washington leaders preparing for possibility that Trump deploys National Guard to Seattle
"Stay out of Seattle," said Mayor Bruce Harrell in a message to President Donald Trump.
Mr. Tough Guy KEK
updated: 12:24 PM PDT September 29, 2025
SEATTLE - Washington officials are actively preparing for the possibility that President Donald Trump deploys the National Guard to Seattle.
Mayor Bruce Harrell expanded on plans in coordination with Washington Attorney General Nick Brown at a Monday morning press conference. Neither have heard of any concrete intention from the Trump administration to deploy the National Guard in Washington state, but Brown said he believes "it is entirely possible" that Trump will attempt to do so.
Harrell announced he will sign an executive order in the coming days that will lay out how the city and its departments will respond if Trump does deploy troops.
"Our message to the president is very clear," Harrell said. "Stay out of Seattle."
Harrell said his executive order will do a number of things, including:
- Establishing how the city will communicate, protect communities and preserve local control
- Strengthen policies to prevent unconstitutional and unlawful encroachment on the roles, responsibilities and jurisdiction of the Seattle Police Department
- Establish city-wide coordination if federal troops are deployed
- Create a task force to plan, coordinate and communicate with the Washington governor and attorney general's offices, and Seattle residents
The press conference comes in light of Trump deploying the National Guard to Portland, Ore., which he claims is necessary to protect U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities that he alleges are "under siege from attack by Antifa, and other domestic terrorists." The Oregon attorney general filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration jointly with the City of Portland, calling the president's accusations "baseless and hyperbolic."
Harrell and Brown also questioned Trump's legal basis for deploying National Guard troops in Oregon and proactively pushed back on any claims that there is reason to do so in Washington.
"The fact of the matter is, here in Seattle, crime is down and safety is up," Harrell said. "There are no insurrections here."
Trump has deployed the National Guard to two other cities so far in his second term, including Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. His interference in Los Angeles was deemed illegal by a federal judge, who ruled that Trump's use of military troops in LA violated the Posse Comitatus Act and usurped state and local authority.
"Seattle mayor threatens to create a TASK FORCE…be very afraid…ha ha
(AG Nick Brown has got to resist, gonna be in big trouble once the DOJ starts looking at WA voter rolls….)

Gov. Bob Ferguson to U.S. AG Pam Bondi: WA won't 'bend the knee' to Trump regime
At a Tuesday press conference held in the state reception room on the Capitol campus in Olympia Governor Bob Ferguson responded to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi's letter directing Washington state to change laws and policies concerning immigrant protection and limits on law enforcement access to state agencies toward federal immigration enforcement.
Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson stood his ground Tuesday in the burgeoning battle against the U.S. attorney general over the state's immigration law. "(Attorney General) Pam Bondi ... seeks to have Washington state bend the knee to a Trump administration that, day by day, drags us closer to authoritarianism. That's not going to happen," Ferguson said. "I am not intimidated by Pam Bondi, or the president."
Ferguson held a news conference shortly after noon in the State Reception Room of the Legislative Building in Olympia. There, he delivered his response to an Aug. 13 letter sent by Bondi.
Bondi's letter demanded that the governor drop the state's sanctuary policies, giving a Tuesday deadline to reply. Washington state, she wrote, is a "sanctuary" jurisdiction that frustrates federal immigration enforcement to the detriment of the country's interests. She warned that any official who hampers such efforts may be hit with criminal charges. Noncompliant local and state governments could face civil liability, too.
Ferguson called this part of the letter "breathtaking," adding that the state won't be intimated or bullied by "legally baseless accusations." "In the America that I love, that I taught my children to revere, we resolve our differences peacefully through public discourse - and if necessary, through the courts - not by threatening political opponents with imprisonment," he said.
Ferguson and Washington state Attorney General Nick Brown have consistently defended the Keep Washington Working Act, which prevents local and state law enforcement from assisting federal immigration efforts. Brown's office has contended that the act doesn't thwart federal authorities' ability to enforce immigration laws. But Bondi has argued to the contrary, saying that such policies "put American citizens at risk by design." President Donald Trump has also threatened to yank back federal funding for sanctuary locales.
State Rep. Jim Walsh, who also chairs the state's Republican Party, said in a call before the conference that he hoped Ferguson would comply with Bondi's demand letter. "If he picks a fight with Bondi," Walsh said, "everyone in Washington's going to pay the price for that."
Ferguson's office shared his written reply to Bondi following Tuesday's news conference. His letter noted that the AG's writing didn't explain the grounds by which Washington had been pegged as a sanctuary jurisdiction.
The governor accused Bondi of having "baselessly" invoked federal conspiracy, obstruction and harboring statutes that carry criminal penalties. "Your threat to criminally prosecute state officials embarrasses and disgraces the office of the United States Attorney General," Ferguson wrote. He further argued that if Bondi really believed that the state was in conflict with federal law, she would "make some effort to explain that." "You did not, because you cannot," he continued. Ferguson said he's ready to defend the state from any litigation pursued by Bondi, and to "defend our democracy." McClatchy has reached out to the White House and the U.S. Department of Justice seeking comment.

Breaking - Washington state Attorney General Nick Brown filed a lawsuit on Monday against Adams County for assisting ICE.
Adams County has been informing ICE when a criminal alien charged with a crime is scheduled to be released from jail so ICE can take them into federal custody.
The lawsuit accuses Adams County of violating the Keep Washington Working Act (sanctuary state statute), which prohibits jails and local law enforcement from cooperating with ICE detainers and other immigration-related matters.

Don't forget who Nick Brown is.
Clown-Clown-Clown.
He was "randomly" cast to be on a "reality" show called Survivor years ago, and if that's not a Clown-controlled weapon of societal engineering, I don't know what is.
Oh, and he just happened to be a Harvard Law student when he was cast to be on the show.
Harvard, in case you didn't know, is Clown Central.
Not only that, but back in the early days of Survivor (prior to the FBI releasing its list of known pedophile symbols in 2007), those Clowns running Survivor used to decorate the voting urn with symbols later confirmed, by the FBI, to be symbols used by pedophiles.
Not surprisingly, Nick Brown's cast mate, Michael Skupin, was busted for child porn after their season ended.
Now, please don't get me wrong; I'm not saying Nick Brown's into CP just because his cast mate is.
What I am saying, however, is that Nick Brown is a creation of the Clowns, he's been elevated into prominence by the Clowns, and now he's a tool of the Clowns in his capacity as Attorney General of the State of Washington.
Hell, even the law firm where he used to work is a Clown operation, and I hear that the firm, itself, has been under intense scrutiny (since a time prior to Nick Brown being installed as AG for the State of Washington).
The only people who are "stars" are people whom the Clowns think that they can control and use, for Clown purposes, in the future.
Based on personal knowledge, I can tell you that the government of the State of Washington's up to its neck in corruption and scandal, so I doubt Nick Brown will even remain in office through his first term as Washington Attorney General.
I do believe a lot of good change is coming.

Agreed:
For 30 years, the Tacoma foundry … produced castings, many of which had failed lab tests and did not meet the Navy's standards. Elaine Thomas, as Director of Metallurgy, falsified test results to hide the fact that the steel had failed the tests. Thomas falsified results for over 240 productions of steel, which represents about half the castings Bradken produced for the Navy.
"For 32 years, Elaine Thomas betrayed the trust of the United States Navy, knowingly placing its sailors and military operations at risk," said U.S. Attorney Nick Brown.

'Vicious, heinous and cruel': Ex-JBLM soldier sentenced for child sex crimes in the Philippines
A former soldier at Joint Base Lewis-McChord was sentenced Thursday to 22 years in prison for child sex crimes deemed "vicious, heinous and cruel" by the federal judge overseeing his case.
Moeun Yoeun, 40, an ex-staff sergeant at the military installation southwest of Tacoma, pleaded guilty in August to engaging in sexual acts with at least six children in the Philippines in exchange for money and using adults and kids in that country to recruit more than a dozen children to produce pornography, according to a news release from the Department of Justice.
Yoeun's crimes occurred over several years and he admitted to prosecutors that he had threatened young girls with death if they refused his sexual assaults, the DOJ said.
"Mr. Yoeun weaponized his position of trust as a noncommissioned officer in the United States Army, to sexually exploit and cause irreversible trauma to impoverished girls in the Philippines," U.S. Attorney Nick Brown said in a statement.
Yoeun, who is from Steilacoom, will be on federal supervision for 15 years upon his release and will also be required to register as a sex offender, according to the DOJ.
The case was part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in 2006 by the DOJ to fight child sexual exploitation. The FBI and Army federal law enforcement investigated the case with the aid of the Philippine National Police.

Seattle Woman Sentenced to Five Years in Prison For Torching Police Cars During BLM Riot
A Seattle woman has been sentenced to five years in prison for torching police vehicles during a Black Lives Matter riot in 2020.
Margaret Aislinn Channon, 26, pleaded guilty to arson for using aerosol cans as a blowtorch to light the cars on fire. She also broke windows, looted stores, and smashed police equipment.
Much of Channon's destruction was captured on video.
"According to the plea agreement, Channon appears in videos from the protest in downtown Seattle wearing distinctive clothing and showing tattoos on her hands and arms. Channon is captured on video using fire and aerosol cans to light five Seattle Police Department vehicles on fire," the Department of Justice said in a press release. "She is also shown entering various stores and removing items of clothing. She admits smashing the window at the Verizon Store, and entering a sandwich shop and destroying the electronic cash register. Investigators identified Channon based on her clothing, tattoos, and information from her various social media accounts."
Channon was arrested in June, 2020. Law enforcement executed a search warrant at her home in Tacoma and seized clothing and accessories that appear in some of the videos from the arsons.
Under the terms of the plea agreement, Channon is responsible for restitution.
During her sentencing, the judge criticized Channon for making the Black Lives Matter movement look bad, saying she did "tremendous damage to Black Lives Matter in Seattle."
"The right to protest, gather, and call out injustices is one of the dearest and most important rights we enjoy in the United States," said U.S. Attorney Nick Brown, according to a report from the Seattle Times. "Indeed, our democracy depends on both exercising and protecting these rights. But Ms. Channon's conduct was itself an attack on democracy."
Brown said Channon "used the cover of lawful protests to carry out dangerous and destructive acts, risking the safety of everyone around her and undermining the important messages voiced by others."
The prosecution had argued that Channon put everyone in danger, as one of the cars could have exploded.
"Hundreds of people were standing in the vicinity of the police cars that Channon burned, some only a few feet away," wrote Assistant U.S. Attorney Todd Greenberg. "All of them were in harm's way if one of the vehicles had exploded."

According to the indictment, from March 2020 to January 2021, the two allegedly used the stolen identities of more than 50 Washington residents to apply for unemployment benefits.
They are also accused of using many of the same stolen identities to apply for loans under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.
The two are charged with conspiracy, five counts of mail fraud, six counts of wire fraud, and four counts of aggravated identity theft.

Let's try that again.
Puerto Rico governor in 'Rickyleaks' scandal expected to quit Wednesday
Ricardo Rosselló and aides used profane language to describe female politicians and openly-gay Puerto Ricans like Ricky Martin
SAN JUAN, July 24 (Reuters) - Puerto Rico Governor Ricardo Rosselló was expected to step down on Wednesday after almost two weeks of protests against his administration that were sparked by the publication of offensive chat messages with aides, several of whom have already quit.
Rosselló had made no announcement by early Wednesday, but major local media were reporting his resignation was imminent.
Protesters had cheered those reports late on Tuesday but warned that his departure would not end the demonstrations now entering their 12th day.
If he does step down his replacement as the Caribbean island's leader would likely be Justice Secretary Wanda Vazquez, whom protesters reject because of her ties to Rosselló.
The governor's chief-of-staff resigned on Tuesday as prosecutors investigated the scandal.
After some protesters threw bottles and police in riot gear used tear gas to disperse crowds on Monday, protests outside the governor's mansion were comparatively tame on Tuesday and early Wednesday, limited to chanting and cheering.
The demonstrations, which drew an estimated 500,000 people to the streets of San Juan on Monday, continue to rock the U.S. territory as it struggles to recover from a hurricane two years ago that killed some 3,000 people. The island was already bankrupt.
The protests were spurred by the publication on July 13 of chat messages in which Gov. Rosselló and aides used profane language to describe female politicians and openly-gay Puerto Ricans like Ricky Martin.
They unleashed simmering resentment over his handling of 2017's Hurricane Maria, alleged corruption in his administration and the island's bankruptcy process.
A string of Rosselló's closest aides have stepped down over the scandal. His chief of staff Ricardo Llerandi was the latest to hand in his resignation on Tuesday, citing concerns for the safety of his family after threats.
Puerto Rican officials on Tuesday executed search warrants for the mobile phones of Rosselló and 11 top officials involved in the leaked Telegram message group chats.
Puerto Rico's Justice Department first requested the phones last Wednesday as part of its investigation into the chat scandal, Nicknamed "Rickyleaks."
Only Llerandi has so far said publicly he has handed in his phone.
Mariana Cobian, a Justice Department spokeswoman, declined to say whether the governor had surrendered his mobile.
CALLS FOR RESIGNATION
A first-term governor in his first elected office, 40-year-old Rosselló has for almost two weeks resisted calls to step down as leader of the U.S. territory and its 3.2 million residents, though he has vowed not to seek re-election in 2020.
"The people are talking and I have to listen," Rosselló said in a statement on Tuesday. He has apologized several times for the chats and asked Puerto Ricans to give him another chance.
But the island's leading newspaper, prominent Democratic officials and Republican President Donald Trump have all called on Rosselló to step down.

Veteran Labour MP Frank Field Resigns, Slams Anti-Semitism and 'Racist Party'
The veteran pro-Brexit Labour MP Frank Field has resigned from his party, citing anti-Semitism linked to leader Jeremy Corbyn and "intolerance, nastiness and intimidation" from the hard left.
"It saddens me to say that we are increasingly seen as a racist party. This issue alone compels me to resign the whip," wrote Mr Field in his resignation letter, blasting Jeremy Corbyn for denying his words and actions have been anti-Semitic.
Mr Field has been the representative for Birkenhead since 1979 and will now serve as an independent, sparking fears that more members of parliament could follow him. More than 35,000 people recently signed a petition calling for Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn to resign.
The letter, sent to Labour's chief whip Nick Brown this Thursday and seen by the New Statesman, adds:
"Britain fought the Second World War to banish these [anti-Semetic] views from our politics, but that superhuman effort and success is now under huge and sustained internal attack."
The second reason cited by the MP is the hostile culture of the hard left in Labour, with him describing "numerous complaints about the thuggish conduct of some members" and "a willful denial".
The party's failure to take action "legitimise[s] appalling levels of bullying and intimidation of lifelong Labour supporters", he claimed.

Another network of this structure is the CROWN AGENTS. Formed in 1833 as 'Crown Agents for the Colonies,' to run the day to day administration of the empire and to serve as private bankers to government officials, colonial authorities, and heads of state. It is also an older version of Brown & Root supplying a vast range of goods throughout the empire. Goods that included arms, drugs, viruses, especially to Africa to create the genocidal wars we are, and have witnessed. The Crown Agents comprise the network that links the Crown Temple to the organised crime operations throughout the empire, the Golden Dawn being one of the most powerful occult operations to be used in Britain amongst the crime syndicates to ensure the right crime waves are in full swing as and when required.
For many years the Crown Agents managed the personal wealth of the Sultan of Brunei who just happens to be a great friend of the Queen, and has funded many of Prince Philips, Prince Charles, and father George Bush's private projects.
The Sultan is also the financier of both British and American unofficial intelligence operations as he has backed many of Mohammed Al Fayed's operations, in fact the Sultan could be said to be Mohammed Al Fayed! After the murder of Princess Diana the role of Al Fayed was for him to hijack the conspiracy and thus lead investigators down the Al Fayed rap of mis-information as was done with Nick Brown over the top up fees debate, and is currently being played by David Davis. Fortunately no one needed to go to him for information because we all in our hearts already know she was murdered. In 1996 the Crown Agents was privatised with the name Crown Agents for Overseas Government and Administration LTD. Of course privatisation is nothing but transfer of Power from Crown Temple through Government agency to Crown Temple via direct ownership.
It manages the customs services of Mozambique, and through a company called Europe SA, is in charge of all economic construction procurement for Bosnia. It is also in joint venture with Monaco based company ES-KO, to provide all the food for United Nations peace keeping forces in Angola and Bosnia. With this you can see the more war the more profit for the Crown Agents. The queen of England owns the 40,000 acre Duchy of Lancaster, the 44,000 acre Duchy of Cornwall which gives Charles his income. In truth it is the Crown that owns these assets which are assigned to the ruling monarch, so long as they do as they are told. The Crown it transpires owns land in the UK to the tune of 40 million acres. The Queen owns over 300 residencies around the country, and invests heavily in corporations like Rio Tinto Zinc (RTZ), Royal Dutch Shell, ICI, and General Electric.
The Crown Cartels continue through a House of Windsor extremely secretive society called the Club of the Isles. It was named after King Edward VII, Queen Victoria's son, who was the first to carry the title, Prince of the Isles. The title is held today by Prince Charles. Edward was heavily involved with the Black Nobility barons of the square mile London Financial District and helped them to engineer the Crimean War, the Russia - Japan War, the preparations for the First World War, and the Opium Wars against China. Through the central organisation of the Club of the Isles comes the fantastic web of interlocking directorships which hold apparently 'independent' companies in a network of common control and agenda.

==Gov. Bob Ferguson to U.S. AG Pam Bondi: WA won't 'bend the knee' to Trump regime==
'''"(Attorney General) Pam Bondi ... seeks to have Washington state bend the knee to a Trump administration that, day by day, drags us closer to authoritarianism. That's not going to happen," Ferguson said. "I am not intimidated by Pam Bondi, or the president."'''
'''"If he picks a fight with Bondi," Walsh said, "everyone in Washington's going to pay the price for that."'''
Ferguson's office shared his written reply to Bondi following Tuesday's news conference. His letter noted that the AG's writing didn't explain the grounds by which Washington had been pegged as a sanctuary jurisdiction.
'''The governor accused Bondi of having "baselessly" invoked federal conspiracy, obstruction and harboring statutes that carry criminal penalties. "Your threat to criminally prosecute state officials embarrasses and disgraces the office of the United States Attorney General," Ferguson wrote. He further argued that if Bondi really believed that the state was in conflict with federal law, she would "make some effort to explain that." "You did not, because you cannot," he continued.''' Ferguson said he's ready to defend the state from any litigation pursued by Bondi, and to "defend our democracy." McClatchy has reached out to the White House and the U.S. Department of Justice seeking comment.

Breaking -''' Washington state Attorney General Nick Brown filed a lawsuit on Monday against Adams County for assisting ICE.'''
