Boston FBI Raids Wrong Hotel Room, Detains And Interrogates Innocent Man For 45 Minutes
Few FBI blunders of late likely compare to what just happened in Boston last week, when Federal Agents on a training mission wound up barging into the wrong hotel room and inadvertently interrogating an innocent hotel guest who was sleeping for nearly 45 minutes.
The bizarre mistake, outlined by NPR last week, occurred during a training exercise at a Boston hotel.
An innocent guest was sleeping at his room at the Revere Hotel when Federal Agents began banging on his door "and demanding to be let in", the report says. Agents then handcuffed the innocent man, isolated him in the shower and interrogated him for more than 45 minutes before ever realizing they had made a mistake.
Lt. Col. Mike Burns, spokesperson for U.S. Army Special Operations Command, commented on the blunder: "First and foremost, we'd like to extend our deepest apologies to the individual who was affected by the training exercise."

"'Defense Department mistakenly detains guest in Boston hotel in training mix-up"'
April 06, 2023
The Associated Press
Participants in a Department of Defense training exercise at a Boston hotel entered the wrong room Tuesday and mistakenly detained a guest instead of the person assigned the role of the person to be detained, according to the FBI.
The mistake happened about 10 p.m. with the Boston Division of the FBI helping the U.S. Department of Defense in conducting the Defense Department exercise.
.
The exercise was meant to simulate a situation that personnel might encounter during an actual incident.
"Based on inaccurate information, they were mistakenly sent to the wrong room and detained an individual, not the intended role player," an FBI said in a written statement. "Thankfully nobody was injured."
A Department of Defense official said the department apologizes to the person affected by the training exercise.
"The training was meant to enhance soldiers' skills to operate in realistic and unfamiliar environments. The training team, unfortunately, entered the wrong room and detained an individual unaffiliated with the exercise," Lt. Col. Mike Burns of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command said in a statement.
"The Boston Police Department responded to the scene and confirmed that this was indeed a training exercise. The safety of civilians in vicinity of our training is always our number one concern. We are reviewing this serious incident with our partners and no further details will be released at this time," the statement added.
Burns declined to identify the person wrongly detained.
The FBI also called safety a priority for the agency and its law enforcement partners.
"We take these incidents very seriously," the FBI statement added. "The Boston Division is reviewing the incident with DOD for further action as deemed appropriate."
A spokesman for Delta Air Lines said the airline was looking to see if anyone from the airline might have been mistakenly caught up in it.
"We are looking into reports of an alleged incident in Boston that may involve Delta people," the spokesperson said in a written statement. "We have nothing further to share at this time other than to reaffirm our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our people."

Panic grips Special Forces community amid investigation into drugs, human trafficking
Panic and fear spread throughout the special operations community at Fort Bragg and Fayetteville, North Carolina as CID and FBI agents investigated members of 3rd Special Forces Group and Delta Force who allegedly were involved in drug and in one instance human trafficking, according to nearly a dozen current and former military sources.
The arrests began Thursday, Jan. 5 and culminated with a 100% recall and accountability formation for 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group yesterday.
It is unknown when the investigation into drug and human trafficking in the Fort Bragg area began, but it is known that the FBI became involved in investigating the deaths of Timothy Dumas and Delta Force operator Billy Lavigne in 2020 when both were found shot to death at a training site on Bragg.
Last week's arrests began with investigators receiving more evidence after an undercover law enforcement officer posing as an underage girl helped arrest a member of 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group back in December. That individual was known to moonlight as a bouncer at a bar in Southern Pines frequented by the Special Forces community, a military source close to the situation explained to Connecting Vets. The Green Beret is alleged to have been pimping underaged girls to the Special Forces community at drug-fueled parties in Southern Pines.
"This is what happens when there is no war, no direction, and an 18-month red cycle with no mission," a Special Forces soldier said. "So dudes are fucking around with young kids and the craziest drugs. All these lives ruined because people are just bored."
Whether the individual rolled on his accomplices or law enforcement ripped the data from his cell phone, it quickly led to the arrest of another Green Beret involved in drug trafficking in 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group.
With the information of additional suspects in hand, CID and military police set up shop at one of the main bottlenecks to entering or exiting Fort Bragg: the Longstreet gate between the post and Southern Pines.
"It was a trail of tears and douche bag cars," said a Special Forces member who witnessed the scene late last week while each soldier stopped for questioning had their vehicle parked along the street.
One of those stopped at the gate was a member of the Army's elite counter-terrorism unit called Delta Force who had recently been picked up by the unit after serving in 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group. The Physician's Assistant at 3rd Special Forces Group was also questioned, according to the source.
The dragnet led to the questioning of 15 service members in total regarding drug related allegations, spread across various special operations commands on Fort Bragg.
The drugs allegedly distributed amongst the special operations community include cocaine, ecstasy, fentanyl, fentanyl lollipops, and the "date rape drug" Rohypnol often known as roofies.
"The U.S. Army Special Operations Command is aware of the allegations of drug involvement from Soldiers assigned to USASOC units on Fort Bragg," USASOC Public Affairs Officer Lt. Col. Mike Burns said in a statement to Connecting Vets.

Concerns about Bruce Willis' declining cognitive state swirled around sets in recent years
By Meg James, Amy Kaufman
March 30, 2022 8:48 PM PT
Just days before Bruce Willis was scheduled to turn up on the set of one of his latest action films, the director of the project sent out an urgent request: Make the movie star's part smaller.
"It looks like we need to knock down Bruce's page count by about 5 pages," Mike Burns, the director of "Out of Death," wrote in a June 2020 email to the film's screenwriter. "We also need to abbreviate his dialogue a bit so that there are no monologues, etc."
Burns did not outline one of the reasons why Willis' lines needed to be kept "short and sweet." But on Wednesday, the public learned what he and many other filmmakers have privately been concerned about for years: The 67-year-old's family said he will retire from acting because he has aphasia. The cognitive disorder affects a person's ability to communicate and often develops in individuals who have suffered strokes.
"As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him," the actor's daughter Rumer Willis wrote in an Instagram post also signed by her siblings, the actor's wife, Emma, and his former wife, Demi Moore.
According to those who have worked with the elder Willis on his recent films, the actor has been exhibiting signs of decline in recent years. In interviews with The Times this month, nearly two dozen people who were on set with the actor expressed concern about Willis' well-being.
These individuals questioned whether the actor was fully aware of his surroundings on set, where he was often paid $2 million for two days of work, according to documents viewed by The Times. Filmmakers described heart-wrenching scenes as the beloved "Pulp Fiction" star grappled with his loss of mental acuity and an inability to remember his dialogue. An actor who traveled with Willis would feed the star his lines through an earpiece, known in the industry as an "earwig," according to several sources. Most action scenes, particularly those that involved choreographed gunfire, were filmed using a body double as a substitute for Willis.
Actor Bruce Willis attends CocoBaba and Ushopal activity on November 4, 2019 in Shanghai, China.
In one alleged incident two years ago on a Cincinnati set of the movie "Hard Kill," Willis unexpectedly fired a gun loaded with a blank on the wrong cue, according to two people familiar with the incident who were not authorized to comment. No one was injured. The film's producer disputed that the incident occurred, but the alleged discharge left actors and crew members shaken.

Good morning everyone. A good indicator that shows how bad your state has been taken over by Communist RINOs is by how many Republicans State Reps or State Senators have signed our Audit All 50 States letter. This letter is important because it exposes who the communists are hidden among our GOP elected officials. Those who don't sign are either a Communist, bought off, scared, or ignorant and all of these things are dangerous to the Republic. Use the letter and go change your states for the best. Get rid of the Communists.

Q Research General #16379: Recall Governor Whitmer [MI] Edition
82nd Airborne Disputes Claims of 'Mass Outbreak' of COVID-19 at Training Center
Paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division training at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, Louisiana, are complaining of a "mass outbreak" of COVID-19 within the unit and claiming there has been no isolation for those infected.
The first of about 4,000 soldiers began leaving Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in a series of bus convoys headed for the combat training center Jan. 22.
The Fayetteville Observer reported Wednesday that it had received a letter from a group of anonymous paratroopers who claim to have been forced to ride in a bus for several hours with unit members "suspected to be infected with COVID-19" without social distancing restrictions.
The anonymous paratroopers also said that unit members began testing positive just over a week later but have not been quarantined, the Observer reported.
But officials are pushing back on the claims.
"COVID mitigation measures are in place and are proving to be effective," 82nd spokesman Lt. Col. Mike Burns said in a statement.
"Our positivity rate for this exercise is under 5 percent, much lower than our surrounding communities," he continued. "We've implemented several measures in accordance with [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] guidelines to reduce likelihood of spreading the virus to one another."
According to the Observer, the letter states, "Soldiers are having to sleep amongst those that are infected and are not provided with a place to quarantine or isolate."
Burns wrote that a "small number of soldiers have tested positive for COVID since their arrival at JRCT. ... [They] were quickly identified and isolated in barracks on mainpost (Fort Polk) away from the training area."
"Paratroopers in the isolation barracks are provided meals and sustainment by Fort Polk leadership, and are seen by medical providers twice a day to ensure their health and well-being," he added.
The 82nd would not release the exact number of soldiers who have tested positive for the virus, Burns said in the statement.
The three-week exercise at JRTC, one of the Army's three combat training centers, began Feb. 1 when about 500 paratroopers participated in a parachute assault into the training area, Burns said.
Prior to leaving Bragg, every paratrooper was tested for the virus and "required to restrict their movements until their test results were returned in order to decrease chances of infection prior to movement," Burns said.
The 82nd does not allow soldiers who test positive for COVID-19 to participate in training rotations, he told Military.com.
Paratroopers deploying to JRCT were offered the "option to vaccinate prior to deployment," said Burns, who would not say how many soldiers agreed to be vaccinated.
Vaccinations are being offered on a voluntary basis as long they are being distributed under an emergency use authorization.
"Leaders at every level and paratroopers of every rank are responsible for protecting themselves and their fellow soldiers at all times," Burns wrote. "We continue to emphasize the importance of vaccinations for all populations at Fort Bragg to improve the health, safety, and welfare of our paratroopers and their families."

South Carolina Legislation Looks To BAN Mandatory Vaccines
January 6th 2021, 6:30 am
Lawmakers in South Carolina have pre-filed a bill proposing a ban on mandatory coronavirus vaccines.
WCNC News reports that four state reps. have proposed the legislation to ensure that people may opt out of vaccination and not be discriminated against for doing so.
The proposal states that those refusing the vaccine would not face "adverse employment action" or any form of societal restrictions for doing so.
The legislation will also state that vaccines "may be provided only to those individuals who agree to vaccination."
Currently in the state it is legal for employers to mandate vaccinations. This legislation would overturn that.
The proposed bill, which has been referred to the Committee on Medical, Military, Public and Municipal Affairs, is being sponsored by one Democratic representative, and three Republicans. They are Reps. Steven Long, R-Spartanburg, Leola Robinson, D-Greenville, Mike Burns, R-Greenville, and Sandy McGarry, R-Lancaster.
Rep. Burns told reporters "We want people to be able to go to their jobs, go to schools, go about their business, and not be mandated to do something that they feel is not in the best interest health-wise for themselves."
"There should be no negative consequences for those opting out of the vaccine," Rep. Burns added.
Representative Stephen Long said that the legislation was proposed following concerns from multiple constituents that "vaccine cards" could be introduced, effectively segregating society.
"Taking a vaccine should be a personal, private choice, and requiring 'vaccine cards' to board planes, attend school, etc is a very dangerous idea," Rep. Long urged.
"I encourage everyone to speak with a physician about the benefits and risks of taking a vaccine, but it should never be mandatory," Long added.
The proposal could progress through to committee next week, according to reports.
There has been much hype around potential 'COVID passports', especially concerning the fact that employers are currently allowed to mandate vaccination in many states.
Last week, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases stated that mandatory vaccinations are still 'on the table', and that he is "sure" that institutions such as hospitals and schools will mandate all who work there to be vaccinated.

Fort Bragg Paratrooper Dies During Airborne Training
An Army paratrooper has died while conducting training operations at Fort Stewart, Georgia, the Army announced Thursday.
The accident took place around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Lt. Col. Mike Burns, spokesman for the 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, told Military.com. The paratrooper, who has not been identified, was assigned to the 82nd's 3rd Brigade Combat Team.
Burns did not immediately have additional information on the circumstances of the accident or the status of training. The incident is currently under investigation.
In July, six U.S. paratroopers from Fort Bragg were hurt during training in Grafenwoehr, Germany after drifting off-course during a jump. Three were hospitalized, although all were expected to recover.

Paratroopers deploying to the Middle East were told to leave behind their cellphones, laptops, tablets and other personal electronic devices, according to Army 82nd Airborne Division officials.
The move was made to ensure operational security was maintained during the emergency deployment, which saw 3,500 paratroopers from 1st Brigade Combat Team begin to fly out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait, over the first week of January.
"Anything considered a personal electronic device. All those things," Lt. Col. Mike Burns, division spokesman, told Army Times. "But banned is a harsh word. The decision was made so soldiers weren't put at risk."
Burns confirmed that the decision was intended to both ensure that sensitive information pertaining to the deployment and mission was not shared outside official channels, and also to prevent any potential cyberattacks against the soldiers.

Evacuations ordered for four military bases as Florence approaches East Coast

All or portions of at least four military installations along the East Coast have ordered evacuations in anticipation of Hurricane Florence, as the massive storm is expected to make landfall by Thursday.
Navy officials have authorized an emergency evacuation order in Virginia for personnel residing in Hampton Roads and Virginia Zone A of Naval Station Norfolk. The order follows the governor's evacuation order for the same area and will remain in effect until Saturday.
"The safety of our personnel and their families is my top priority right now," said Rear Adm. Charles Rock, the commander of Navy Region Mid-Atlantic. "Our mission is to support the fleet, fighter and family and the team at Navy Region Mid-Atlantic has been working around the clock to provide support and information during this very stressful time."
The Air Force is evacuating Joint Base Charleston in South Carolina and has a limited evacuation order at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia, as announced on each base's Facebook page. Both bases are following the lead of local and state evacuation orders, said Air Force Maj. Lindy Singleton. At Langley-Eustis, which sits near the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, the order is for personnel who reside on Langley Air Force Base or in the Virginia Department of Emergency Management Evacuation Zone A.
The Air Force has ordered any personnel traveling to these bases to stay where they are. Officials are also monitoring Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina, Pope Field at Fort Bragg in North Carolina and the Washington, D.C. area, Singleton said. Some aircraft at Seymour Johnson and Langley have started to move to other locations.
Langley's F-22 Raptors and T-38 Talon training jets began flying out Tuesday. They will fly to Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base in central Ohio.
Air Force Col. Jason Hinds said in a statement that the base's facilities can withstand hurricane force winds. But he said there's no reason to risk any damage to the base's fleet of advanced F-22 fighter jets. About 100 personnel will travel to Ohio to support the jets.
At Fort Bragg, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has begun staging supplies at the post while soldiers and airmen are working to mitigate damage to infrastructure and military equipment, according to The Fayetteville Observer.
"Our number one priority is the safety and well-being of our soldiers, civilians and their families," said Lt. Col. Mike Burns, a spokesman for the 18th Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg. "We understand that Hurricane Florence has the potential to impact our community and we are doing many of the things you would expect to prepare."
Fort Bragg also is bracing for the storm and taking steps to mitigate any damage it might cause by clearing storm drains and inspecting other infrastructure. Burns said military vehicles and other equipment that could be damaged by the storm are being moved indoors when possible. A spokesman for the 82nd Airborne Division said they are preparing to move more than 80 helicopters to Georgia ahead of the storm and are working to fill fuel and water tanks.
On Monday, a mandatory evacuation of Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, located along the southern portion of the South Carolina coast, was announced. Brig. Gen. James Glynn, commander Parris Island and the Eastern Recruiting Region, said the mandatory evacuation would begin at noon Tuesday. About 8,500 servicemembers are assigned to Parris Island.
"I have determined the safest course of action is to evacuate," he said. "For everyone's safety, I have issued the evacuation order well ahead of the storm in an effort to ensure everyone is able to seek refuge before the storm impacts the area."
The Coast Guard also announced it is moving its cutters, aircraft and boats outside the projected path of the hurricane and all non-essential personnel will be evacuated. The service warned that during and in the immediate aftermath of the storm, it might not be available.
For example, Coast Guard Capt. Kevin Carroll, commander for Sector Hampton Roads at Portsmouth, Va., said Monday that its 29-foot response boat, 45-foot response boat, 87 coastal patrol boats and 270-foot cutter are being relocated to safer areas. In addition, the Coast Guard is taking steps to ensure its aircraft are safe, such as its C-130s and MH-60 Jayhawk helicopters out of Air Station Elizabeth City in North Carolina, by moving them to other locations.
