ABC's Matt Gutman doubled down, ten minutes later after this on ABC News Live: "It's heartbreaking on so many levels, Kyra. Obviously, Charlie Kirk was murdered brutally in front of a crowd of thousands…[O]n the other hand, there is this duality of a very a portrait of a very human person, a very human experience from this entire family…the kid who had got a 34 out of 36 on the ACT, who had a 4.0…I don't think I've ever experienced a press conference in which we've read text messages that are A, so fulsome, so robust, so apparently, allegedly self-incriminating and yet, on the other hand, so touching - right - with the suspect reaching out to his roommate, who was allegedly his boyfriend, who we understand, you know, identified as male at birth, now identifies as female. And the terminology he used, he was trying to protect him. He kept calling him 'my love.' The State of Florida's Republican leadership showed no more courage than Obama. After consulting with then-Attorney General Bondi, Gov. Rick Scott appointed Angela Corey as special prosecutor and washed his hands of the mess on his doorstep.

A week after Obama threw in with Martin's family, Bondi did as well. She called his negligent parents "amazing people" and described the family attorneys as "friends of mine." Ever judicious, Bondi added, "You never want to make an arrest too soon. We need justice, but you never want to make an arrest without having all the answers." That said, she too backed away from the case - well, almost backed away.

Those "friends of mine," most notably Martin attorney Benjamin Crump, were in the process of making Bondi's life more difficult. Crump was badgering "Diamond," the girl who was on the phone with Martin in the moments before his death, to tell the state attorneys a story Crump had concocted. ABC's Matt Gutman might as well have been Crump's press agent, headlining his article, "Trayvon Martin's Last Phone Call Triggers Demand for Arrest Right Now."

The Israeli military has a "green light" to move into Gaza whenever it's ready, a member of the country's security cabinet told ABC News. Hostages and civilian casualties will be secondary to destroying Hamas, Economy Minister Nir Barakat told ABC News, "even if it takes a year." Asked about the miles of tunnels Hamas has built under Gaza, he said they'd become the "world's biggest cemetery." Hamas has claimed to be holding some or all of the 203 Israeli hostages it's taken within that vast network. "We shall do all efforts to bring our hostages, to bring our hostages [back] alive..." he said, but the "first and last priority"

Nov. 14, 2012 - – Gregory Faull, who was found shot to death in Belize Sunday, had confronted tech guru John McAfee about his"vicious" dogs, and had joined other neighbors in filing a complaint with local officials demanding they do something about his dogs and the armed and aggressive security guards patrolling his beachfront property.

McAfee, who is being sought for questioning in Faull's murder, has been on the run since the weekend, though he is not believed to have left Belize. He denies shooting Faull, claiming that he is "not well-liked" by Belizean Prime Minister Dean Barrow and that Belize officials want him dead.

EXCLUSIVE: ABC News chief national correspondent Matt Gutman has been suspended for violating a company policy on Covid-19 safety.

A spokesperson for the network declined to comment, as did Gutman.

A source familiar with the situation said that Gutman was suspended for violating company safety rules having to do with going into a hospital for a story without getting permission from management beforehand. It was not immediately clear how long the suspension will last.

Time to Expose the Fraud That Launched BLM

On Black Lives Matter's website, the organization's radical founders trace the creation of their movement "to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin's murderer, George Zimmerman."

Had those founders paid any attention to the trial, they would have known that Zimmerman should never have been charged with murder, let alone tried. The fact that he was arrested can be attributed to a stunningly blatant fraud orchestrated by the attorney who has been prominently milking the racial divide he helped create, Benjamin Crump.

As it happens, the one person capable of exposing this fraud is George Zimmerman. All Zimmerman needs is his own Atticus Finch, an attorney brave enough to resist the howling mob and stand up for the truth.

In the way of background, Zimmerman has filed a suit in the Circuit Court of Florida's Tenth Judicial Circuit. The evidence is overwhelming that Trayvon Martin's support team, including Martin's parents and their attorney, Benjamin Crump, knowingly substituted an imposter witness for the real "phone witness" in order to secure Zimmerman's arrest for the 2012 shooting death of Martin.

Also named in the suit are the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE); the State of Florida; former state attorneys Bernie de la Rionda, John Guy, and Angela Corey, and HarperCollins, the publisher of Crump's defamatory book, Open Season: Legalized Genocide of Colored People.

In a 2012 deposition, the perjured testimony of the imposter in question, Rachel Jeantel, enabled the State of Florida to arrest Zimmerman and take him to trial. Evidence strongly suggests that state attorneys knew that the witness was a fraud.

Zimmerman was inspired to launch the suit based on the dogged research done by Los Angeles filmmaker Joel Gilbert for his documentary film and book of the same name, The Trayvon Hoax: Unmasking the Witness Fraud that Divided America.

Attorney Larry Klayman was brave enough to file the suit, but Zimmerman has parted ways with him and is now seeking a Florida attorney with a strong knowledge of state procedures to push the suit through to its conclusion.

The defendants effectively ruined Zimmerman's life on April 2, 2012, five weeks after the shooting. On that fateful day, de la Rionda flew to Miami from Jacksonville to depose Brittany "Diamond" Eugene, the girl who was on the phone with Trayvon up to the moment of his death.

Trayvon's mother, Sybrina Fulton, had met with the real Diamond Eugene at least once before in mid-March. Crump may have met with her as well. He certainly coached her to follow his fraudulent script of a raging Zimmerman stalking and killing the scared little boy Trayvon Martin. His phone interview with Diamond was recorded by ABC's Matt Gutman and broadcast.

There are many different versions of security software founder John McAfee.

He has gone from being known as a multimillionaire tech legend, to making headlines as a "person of interest" in a mysterious killing in Belize, to launching new tech companies, to running to become a presidential candidate, to living in rural Tennessee. The one constant these days is his state of mind – his belief that people are after him.

"I'm a mad man to some people because I don't follow the normal rules," McAfee told ABC News' Matt Gutman in an exclusive series of interviews this spring for an ABC News "20/20" report. "You know, the drummer that leads me is an odd drummer, but I follow the sound."
McAfee, 71, is best known for developing antivirus software in the 1980s that bears his name and helping to pioneer instant-messaging in the 1990s. He says he wrote the antivirus program "in a day and a half" and that "4 million people were using it within a month."

He sold his shares in the software company in the mid-90s, and reportedly made $100 million, though McAfee told ABC News his fortune was worth "much more." But, he added, "I wasted it, like everybody who has money."

McAfee built nine homes, filling them with expensive art, furniture and oddities, such as a dinosaur skull, and he bought a fleet of planes and antique cars. He created a yoga retreat in Colorado that hosted 200 guests at a time and set up a center in New Mexico for a new sport called aero-trekking.

But then the recession hit McAfee hard and in 2009, he said he liquidated his assets, and several of his properties and possessions were auctioned off. But he later said he didn't lose his all of his fortune, and had set up the auctions to try to fool the media.

"I've had 200 lawsuits in my life because my name is John McAfee," he told ABC News. "No, I didn't lose everything. I wanted to stop people from trying to sue me."

So McAfee packed up and moved to Belize. When asked what made him go to the Central American country, McAfee joked, "because I'm a stupid man."
In 2009, he started a company that he said would manufacture plants from the Belize jungle into antibiotics. His lab was raided in May 2012 by the police department's Gang Suppression Unit on suspicion he was manufacturing methamphetamine. He says the raid was retribution for his refusal to be extorted by the government. No illegal drugs were found during the raid. He was never charged and the lab was eventually shut down.

The Belize government declined ABC News' request for comment.

McAfee was catapulted to the headlines again in November 2012. This time Belizean authorities linked him to a more serious crime, naming him "a person of interest" in the mysterious slaying of 52-year-old Gregory Faull, a U.S. man who was McAfee's neighbor two doors down from McAfee's beachside compound. McAfee went into hiding, telling ABC News at the time he was afraid the authorities were trying to kill him.

He has denied any involvement in Faull's death.

After being on the run for almost a month, McAfee was arrested in Guatemala by Guatemalan immigration officials for entering the country illegally. He was about to be deported back to Belize when he collapsed. McAfee later said he had faked a heart attack.

"Sure, I faked it," he said. "What would you have done?"

He was never arrested or charged in connection with Faull's death, and McAfee's attorney in Guatemala was able to obtain a stay of deportation to Belize for him. Soon after, Guatemalan authorities deported him to Miami, where he met his future wife - Janice Dyson McAfee, a former prostitute - at a restaurant.

"I instantly saw in Janice what I had been looking for my entire life," McAfee said.

"It was, I don't know how to say it, magical," Janice told ABC News. "He saw the hurt that was there. He saw the human in me. He thought I was worthy enough of a second chance."

Customs and Border Patrol have apprehended a record number of migrant children at the Southern border in December-24,000-with one more week to go in a month that has seen two children from Guatemala die in custody after falling ill after being brought illegally into the U.S. by their fathers.

ABC News reporter Matt Gutman noted the stunning number of children pouring across the border in a report on the death of an 8-year-old Guatemalan boy, Felipe Gómez Alonzo, on Christmas Eve, ".@CBP launching an internal investigation after 2nd child died in its custody in less than 3 weeks. The @CDCgov has been notified amidst a record number of children crossing the border this month - 24k. What the agency's commissioner told me, now on @GMA"

24,000 adults would make a good sized town by themselves. 24,000 children is at least a dozen or more school buildings plus all the welfare and government funded care that minors are entitled to just for being here.

Many of the children are unaccompanied by an adult, but most are part of "family units". Statistics posted by CBP for the Southwestern region show over 100,000 family units and unaccompanied children were caught in the first two months of FY 2019, October and November. UACs averaged about 5,000 for those two months. The number of migrant FUs averaged 24,000. That 24,000 children have been caught in the first three weeks of December is staggering and is overwhelmng the ability of the government to process and take care of the migrants-(classic Cloward-Piven strategy in action.) Because logistics and overcrowding the Guatemalan boy was moved with his father to several CBP facilities after they were caught on December 18 before he took ill.

CBP definition of FUs: "Family Unit represents the number of individuals (either a child under 18 years old, parent or legal guardian) apprehended with a family member by the U.S. Border Patrol."
