Italian restaurant posts sign requiring patrons provide 'proof of being UNvaccinated': 'We have zero tolerance for treasonous, anti-American stupidity'
Basilico's Pasta e Vino in Huntington Beach, California, is throwing down in the face of renewed concerns over COVID-19 and its fast-spreading Delta variant.

The establishment just posted a sign on its front door requiring that patrons provide "proof of being UNvaccinated."

- FOX 11 Los Angeles (@FOX 11 Los Angeles)1627322403.0
"We have zero tolerance for treasonous, anti-American stupidity," the sign reads. "Thank you for pondering."
And the establishment wasn't through.
After the Los Angeles Times ran a story Monday about the sign on the restaurant door, Basilico's ripped its detractors on Facebook.
"Los Angeles Times prints an article about us, and again here come the haters, and with it, the harassing nonstop phone calls, threats, and hundreds of one-star reviews," the post read. "And guess what? We at Basilico's Pasta e Vino wear it all as a badge of honor! Attention: tiny tyrants, wannabe little dictators, pro-lockdown/pro-mask/pro-mandatory vaccine mini-Gestapo American traitors and snitches, and yes especially 'Gavin Pelosi' and 'Stronzo Fauci' … We feel blessed to go into battle against all of you in defense of American liberty and freedom, so bring it on!"
Turns out an employee confirmed that the restaurant isn't actually checking patrons' vaccine status, the paper said - but the rebellious spirit of Basilico's, and that of its outspoken owner Tony Roman, is coming through loud and clear.
What's the background?
The cheeky display on the restaurant's door wasn't its first shot across the bow.
Back in March 2020 when restaurants across the state stopped indoor dining, the Times said Basilico's continued to welcome patrons. Then when officials ordered face mask enforcement among eateries, the paper said Basilico's declared itself a mask-free zone and required diners to remove them before entering.
More from the Times:
In June, Basilico's began advertising $25 T-shirts with the phrase "Leave the vax, take the cannoli," a play on a line from "The Godfather" film, next to an illustration of a hand controlling a Marionette.
A similar sentiment from the restaurant - "Leave the mask, take the cannoli" - appeared on a billboard along La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles last year.
"Imagine if Americans would have refused mask mandates, or better even banned the masks like we have throughout the lockdowns," Basilico's posted on Instagram, the paper reported. "The tiny tyrants then would have never dared to think they could try and force vaccine mandates."
More from the Times:
The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control launched an investigation into the restaurant in July 2020 after receiving a complaint about the business, said John Carr, a spokesman for the department.
The agency declined to elaborate about the nature of the complaint, but it moved forward with an administrative procedure against Basilico's, which could result in a penalty ranging from fines to the revocation of the restaurant's liquor license. Officials declined to comment further, citing pending litigation.
The paper added that state has fined Basilico's to the tune of more than $152,000 for COVID-related violations - but Roman hasn't appealed the citations, instead saying in a video posted to the restaurant's Instagram that he won't pay the fines.
Here's a KTTV-TV report than ran last year when Roman & Co. were deep in battle:

Liberals pounce on the death of unvaccinated pro-Trump local GOP official from coronavirus complications
A local Massachusetts Republican figure who was reportedly unvaccinated died from severe complications of the coronavirus, and many on the left pounced on the news to mock her and ridicule other Trump supporters.
Whitlock dishes on his ESPN exit, Bill Simmons, John Skipper, Deadspin and the Undefeated
Linda Zuern, 70, died on Friday at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston according to the Cape Cod Times. Zuern was known as a staunch conservative and stalwart supporter of former President Donald Trump. She also appeared to support the QAnon conspiracy theory.
Her family said that Zuern had not been vaccinated when she contracted the coronavirus. She had been in a coma and in a ventilator before she died.
After news of her death reached social media, many on the left pounced to politicize her passing.
"On todays episode of I DONT GIVE A F*** Linda Zuern, an Unvaccinated trump supporter who spread coronavirus conspiracy theories has died from COVID Darwin strikes again Anybody care?" responded an anti-Trump account.
"They are directly to blame for people exposing others and for incalculable covid spread. I'll laugh at every one of them for the tears others have to shed for their lost loved ones," said another.
"Tough break, Linda Zuern. I know she's not the first unvaccinated Trump supporter to die from what she insisted was a hoax, she certainly won't be the last, and I guarantee Trump doesn't give a f*** and won't even send flowers to the funerals," replied another critic.
"Quoting Linda Zuern, Q follower, dead from Covid, 'Where we go one, we go all.' Covid's delta variant responds, 'That works for us.' What a stupid, stupid tragedy," read another tweet.
"Too bad the unvaccinated trump supporter, Linda Zuern, couldn't have just gone quietly. How many people were harmed or killed by her nutty fb posts? Ignorance and idiocy can be deadly. I'm sure MAGAs will sanctify her with Ashley Babbitt," responded one critic on Twitter.
"She died of Science Denying modern day Republican Trumpism. Propaganda killed her. I wonder if she still thought she was right as she sucked in her last breath. Too bad," tweeted another.
Zuern was very active in her local community, her church, and served as a local Republican committee official.

ESPN's John Skipper says he resigned over cocaine extortion plot
NEW YORK (CNN Money) - Former ESPN President John Skipper said he resigned from his role because of a cocaine extortion plot, according to comments he made in an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
In the interview, Skipper talked about how he used cocaine and had always been careful about his usage. However, a lapse of judgment led to Skipper's decision to buy cocaine from a new source, which had big consequences.

Iger then explained that its new president, Jimmy Pitaro, who replaced longtime executive John Skipper in March, is working towards refocusing the network. Skipper shocked the media industry by leaving ESPN last year when a drug dealer attempted to extort him by using his cocaine habit against him. Prior to his sudden exit, Skipper was reguarly accused of making ESPN a left-leaning network.

Anon on previous thread said 2 presidents resigned today. One was Peru's president. I didn't know who the other one was, so I did a duck search on "president resigns". I'm sure everyone is aware, but here is a non-comprehensive list of heads of state that have resigned in recent months:
Robert Mugabe–Zimbabwe–11/21/17
Jacob Zuma–South Africa–2/14/18
Ameena Gurib-Fakim–Mauritius–3/17/18
Htin Kyaw–Myanmar–3/21/18
Pedro Pablo Kuczynski–Peru–3/21/2018
5 in 5 months seems like a lot. Other "presidents" who have resigned:
John Skipper–ESPN–12/17
Joel Seligman–U. of Rochester–1/11/18
Lou Anna Simon–Mich. State University–1/24/2018
Wayne Pacelle–U.S. Humane Society–2/2/18
Chialin Chang–Smartphone President, HTC–2/14/18
Raj Nair–Ford Motors, North America–2/21/18
Trevor Edwards–Nike–3/16/18
Shantaram Naik–President of Goa Congress, India–3/20/18
Salah al-Sayadi–Minister of State, Yemen–3/21/2018

"John Skipper Says He Left ESPN After Someone He Bought Cocaine From Tried To Extort Him"
hollywoodreporter.com/features/John-Skipper-details-espn-exit-cocaine-extortion-plot-1094657
JAM: Well, John, with all due respect, I'm a bit confused. There seems to be a big piece missing to this story. I'm looking at my notes: First, you've shared that you were an infrequent user of cocaine - something that could be true of others in the entertainment and media business. I'm not an expert in this area, but I'm not sure some would even call that an addiction. Second, you've stated categorically that your use never got in the way of your work. And third, you've admitted that on the days leading up to your decision to resign, you had no thoughts of resigning. None of that seems to explain why you reached the decision you had to resign.
I know this is difficult, John. I hope you understand why I'm pushing a bit here.
Skipper: In December, someone from whom I bought cocaine attempted to extort me.
JAM: Someone you had had dealings with in the past?
Skipper: No.
JAM: Again, respectfully, didn't you just say you were careful about your dealings in this area?
Skipper: Not this time. It turned out I wasn't careful this time.
JAM: What did they say?
Skipper: They threatened me, and I understood immediately that threat put me and my family at risk, and this exposure would put my professional life at risk as well. I foreclosed that possibility by disclosing the details to my family, and then when I discussed it with Bob, he and I agreed that I had placed the company in an untenable position and as a result, I should resign.

Anons, we have lists of CEO's which have 'retired' which is great - but do we have something to link them or postulate as to why? Some like Eric Schmidt are obvious. This is my gut reaction - they mostly if not all linked to the Clinton Foundation in some way (or possibly others like McCain etc). Thus turning them into memes beyond as being linked together by a central theme.
ESPN CEO John Skipper - http://aspenprojectplay.org/events/espn-town-hall-kids-sports-clinton-health-matters-conference
"How do we get and keep more kids active in sports into the teenage years? On the opening night of the Clinton Health Matters Conference and in partnership with ESPN, President Clinton led a conversation on the central question of the Aspen Institute's Project Play with 15-time NBA All Star Kobe Bryant, one of the greatest players in basketball history."
Teenage kids and the CF? Say no more.
Pepsico India CEO D Shivakumar - https://www.clintonfoundation.org/press-releases/clinton-foundation-and-pepsico-launch-strategic-partnership-spur-social-and-economic
New York, 2014- The Clinton Foundation and PepsiCo, Inc. (NYSE: PEP) announced a strategic partnership to spur social and economic development in emerging markets through a unique social enterprise model. The partnership's inaugural project was launched in Maharashtra, India with an agriculture initiative to source vitamin-rich cashew fruit from smallholder farmers, an arrangement that is expected to create an important new ingredient supply for PepsiCo's local juice business while simultaneously improving the livelihood of thousands of cashew growers in the region.
Shiva has been CEO Pepsico India since 2013, would have been central to the above 'charitable act'. You imagine lots of yongsters work in rural agra-farming, so open to abuse.
Kenya Nation Media Group Joe Magunda - https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/article/2000159902/bill-clinton-and-daughter-to-visit-kenya-this-week
"April 2015 - NAIROBI: Former United States President Bill Clinton is expected in the country on Thursday. Mr Clinton's itinerary will include a tour of projects funded by the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Global Initiative."
Might be obscure, but it helps to be pally with the CEO of a major media outlet in Kenya, especially should any stories transpire.
AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson - http://about.att.com/content/csr/home/blog/2015/06/genral_assembly_and.html
"DENVER, June 9, 2014 - General Assembly (GA), the global educational institution building a community of entrepreneurs and professionals through instruction and opportunity in technology, business and design, today announced a $250,000 contribution from AT&T to expand GA's "Opportunity Fund" scholarship program. The collaboration was formalized by Jake Schwartz, co-founder and CEO, General Assembly, and Nicole Anderson, Executive Director of Philanthropy, AT&T Services, Inc. as a Clinton Global Initiative America (CGI America) Commitment to Action."
One example, but AT&T were some of the biggest donors to the CF/CGI. God knows how much evil it has funded and enabled with its donations over the years.
Anons - this is what I've found having a cursory look. By the coming storm and the Exec Order, these CEOs and their companies were tainted by either personally being part of the Clinton machine or just so deeply embedded in the global swamp that the head honchos decided it best to exit the arena here and now.
Hopefully I am doing my bit as a Brit anon here since the start of CBTS. MAGA & MEGA!

Mmmm, why would a media boss who is also a co-Chair of Disney Media Networks (ABC, Disney Channel, ESPN, Freeform) resign at this moment in time?
I wonder whether someone running Disney would have any connection with HRC?
I don't know, maybe launching an initiative to empower girls through sport. I'm assuming via the medium of Ping Pong.
