Another CEO bites the dust!!!!!!!!!!!!
T-Mobile officially completes merger with Sprint, CEO John Legere steps down ahead of schedule
Alongside news of the merger being finalized, T-Mobile shared that its CEO transition is taking place early. John Legere was supposed to stay on until the end of April, but Mike Sievert has been appointed CEO a month early, effective immediately. Seifert was previously T-Mobile's COO.

Q Research General #10961: Hot "Twat Snot" Wheels At It Again! Edition
Why Did Hundreds Of CEOs Resign Just Before The World Started Going Absolutely Crazy?
In the months prior to the most ferocious stock market crash in history and the eruption of the biggest public health crisis of our generation, we witnessed the biggest exodus of corporate CEOs that we have ever seen. And as you will see below, corporate insiders also sold off billions of dollars worth of shares in their own companies just before the stock market imploded. In life, timing can be everything, and sometimes people simply get lucky. But it does seem odd that so many among the corporate elite would be so exceedingly "lucky" all at the same time. In this article I am not claiming to know the motivations of any of these individuals, but I am pointing out certain patterns that I believe are worth investigating.
One financial publication is using the phrase "the great CEO exodus" to describe the phenomenon that we have been witnessing. It all started last year when chief executives started resigning in numbers unlike anything that we have ever seen before. The following was published by NBC News last November...
Chief executives are leaving in record numbers this year, with more than 1,332 stepping aside in the period from January through the end of October, according to new data released on Wednesday. While it's not unusual to see CEOs fleeing in the middle of a recession, it is noteworthy to see such a rash of executive exits amid robust corporate earnings and record stock market highs.
Last month, 172 chief executives left their jobs, according to executive placement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas. It's the highest monthly number on record, and the year-to-date total outpaces even the wave of executive exits during the financial crisis.
By the end of the year, an all-time record high 1,480 CEOs had left their posts.
But to most people it seemed like the good times were still rolling at the end of 2019. Corporate profits were rising and the stock market was setting record high after record high.
Yes, there were lots of signs that the global economy was really slowing down, but most experts were not forecasting an imminent recession.
So why did so many chief executives suddenly decide that it was time to move on?
The following are just a few of the big name CEOs that chose to step down in 2019...
Dennis Muilenburg - Boeing
United Airlines - Oscar Munoz
Alphabet - Larry Page
Gap - Art Peck
McDonald's - Steve Easterbrook
Wells Fargo - Tim Sloan
Under Armour - Kevin Plank
PG&E - Geisha Williams
Kraft Heinz - Bernardo Hees
HP - Dion Weisler
Bed, Bath & Beyond - Steven Temares
Warner Bros. - Kevin Tsujihara
Best Buy - Hubert Joly
New York Post - Jesse Angelo
Colgate-Palmolive - Ian Cook
MetLife - Steven Kandarian
eBay - Devin Wenig
Nike - Mark Parker
Of course the mass exodus of chief executives did not end there.
In fact, a whopping 219 CEOs stepped down during the month of January 2020 alone.
By then, it was starting to become clear that the coronavirus that was ripping through China could potentially become a major global pandemic, and I certainly can understand why many among the corporate elite would choose to abandon ship at that moment.
Some of these CEOs have made absolutely absurd salaries for many years, and it is much easier to take the money and run than it is to stick around and steer a major corporation through the most difficult global crisis that any of us have ever experienced.
The following are just a few of the well known CEOs that have resigned so far in 2020...
Bob Iger, CEO of Disney
Ginni Rometty, CEO of IBM
Harley-Davidson CEO Matt Levatich
T-Mobile's CEO John Legere
LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner
Mastercard CEO Ajay Banga
Keith Block, co-CEO of Salesforce
Tidjane Thiam, CEO of Credit Suisse
Hulu CEO Randy Freer

It is important for me to say that I do not have any special insight into the personal motivations of any of these individuals, and every situation is different.
But I do think that it is quite strange that we have seen such an unprecedented corporate exodus at such a critical moment in our history.

CEO Step Down 2020 Watch List:
Disney, IBM, Microsoft, Hulu, L Brands (Victoria's Secret), Harley Davidson, and more.
Mandy Ginsberg, the CEO of the company that oversees Tinder, Hinge, OKCupid, and Match, announced on January 28 that she's stepping down after 14 years, citing personal reasons.
Disney said on January 31 that Hulu CEO Randy Freer would be departing, with no direct replacement and company leaders reporting to Disney's Kevin Mayer. In late February, Hulu's Chief Marketing Officer Kelly Campbell was promoted to president of Hulu.
Les Wexner, CEO of L Brands, a retail company that includes Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works, stepped down on February 20 after almost 60 years. He was the longest-tenured CEO of any Fortune 500 company at the time.
Keith Block, co-CEO of Salesforce, left the position on February 25, which surprised industry watchers, who thought Block might eventually take over from founder Marc Benioff as sole CEO.
Bob Iger, CEO of Disney, stepped down on February 25. He had held the role since 2005 and renewed his contract in 2017.
Harley-Davidson CEO Matt Levatich resigned on February 28 following years of decreasing demand for motorcycles.
Ginni Rometty, CEO of IBM, is departing in April after eight years of leading the company through a difficult transition period.
Although it was announced in 2019, T-Mobile's CEO John Legere is scheduled to step down in May 2020. During his 7-year run, T-Mobile's share price increased from $12 to nearly $80.
LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner is stepping down in June after 11 years of running the company.
Mastercard CEO Ajay Banga is set to step down in early 2021 after more than a decade running the company.

DOJ approves $26.5B merger between Sprint and T-Mobile
The Department of Justice gave its blessing Friday to T-Mobile's $26.5 billion acquisition of its closest rival, Sprint, after confirming it has reached an agreement with five states that had previously raised objections to the deal.
While the merger between the number-three and -four players in the wireless market effectively reduces competition, the Justice Department has demanded that both companies must sell key assets to the satellite company Dish, which in turn will attempt to create a new wireless service for consumers.
Specifically, Sprint must sell its prepaid phone products, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile; and T-Mobile must help Dish develop its new service. T-Mobile and Sprint must provide Dish with 20,000 cell sites and hundreds of retail locations. For the last few years, Dish has been acquiring the wireless spectrum necessary to run a phone service but has not in effect had the ability to switch it on for commercial use.
"With this merger and accompanying divestiture, we are expanding output significantly by ensuring that large amounts of currently unused or underused spectrum are made available to American consumers in the form of high quality 5G networks," Assistant Attorney General Makan Delrahim of the Justice Department's Antitrust Division said.
T-Mobile and Sprint have long argued that a merger is necessary since they must compete with Verizon and AT&T. The two market leaders have already invested billions in 5G technology that among other things improves loading times for the internet.
T-Mobile CEO John Legere said in an earlier statement ahead of the deal that "we can't ignore that AT&T and Verizon still continue to control 80 percent of the Big 4 profitability and have 70 percent of the wireless market share. Even with the merger of Sprint and T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T would each still have nearly three times the market cap of the combined companies." Legere has made written commitments not to raise prices during the next three years while the company builds out 5G.
Not everyone is happy about the prospect of what could be a less competitive market, however. Gigi Sohn, a former counselor to Tom Wheeler when he was head of the Federal Communications Commission, told NBC News in a statement, "Given incontrovertible evidence of higher prices and reduced competition, Assistant Attorney General Makan Delrahim should have blocked this merger."
"A new mobile wireless entrant that starts with zero postpaid subscribers and that must rely on its much bigger rival, the new T-Mobile, just to operate is not a competitor. It's a mobile Frankenstein," she said.

Frenzy: Every Major U.S. Carrier Has Now Launched 5G Service
The Administration's claim that the U.S. must beat China in the rollout of 5G is meaningless and absurd, but it has provided a bum's rush to hurry up and install it throughout America. ? TN Editor
T-Mobile launched its 5G service in six U.S. cities over the weekend: Atlanta, Cleveland, Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York.
All four of the country's major carriers now offer 5G.
The ultra-fast network can be accessed on the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, which retails for $1299.99. The phone can access T-Mobile's LTE network in areas where 5G is unavailable.
In a statement, T-Mobile CEO John Legere said the company's network would be "broad, deep and transformational." With the company's proposed merger to Sprint still pending before the government, Legere said approval would mean the combined companies could build "the kind of 5G network America deserves."

U.S. Justice Department tells T-Mobile, Sprint it has concerns about merger
April 16 (Reuters) - The U.S. Justice Department has told T-Mobile US Inc and Sprint Corp it has concerns about their proposed $26 billion merger in its current structure, sources familiar with the matter said on Tuesday, although no final decision has been made.
Sprint shares fell about 9 percent after the bell as investors increased bets the deal would not be completed following a Wall Street Journal report the merger is unlikely to be approved as currently structured. Shares of T-Mobile fell 4 percent.
The deal had been criticized by consumer advocates and some lawmakers because it would reduce the number of national wireless carriers available to consumers to three from four.
A final decision on the deal is likely near the end of the 180-day Federal Communications Commission review period that expires in June.
T-Mobile US Chief Executive John Legere was in Washington on Tuesday and has meetings later this week at the FCC, two people briefed on the matter said.
Legere said on Twitter it was "simply untrue," as had been reported, that Justice Department staff had told the companies the deal was unlikely to be approved in its current form. The Justice Department declined to comment.
Sprint Executive Chairman Marcelo Claure said the Wall Street Journal report was not accurate. "We continue to have discussions with regulators about our proposed merger with
@TMobile. That process is ongoing," Claure wrote on Twitter.
A third person familiar with the investigation said the probe was going along as expected, adding there had been no serious discussion of any divestitures of spectrum or other assets and that much of the conversation with regulators had been about proposed efficiencies in the development of 5G.
The agreement to combine the carriers, struck in April 2018, was approved by both companies' shareholders in October and has received national security clearance, but still needs approval from the Justice Department and FCC. A number of state attorneys general are also reviewing the deal.
LAWMAKERS QUESTION DEAL
Executives from both companies faced tough questions from lawmakers in February about how the companies' planned merger would affect prices and jobs, especially in rural America.
A group of eight Democratic U.S. senators and independent Senator Bernie Sanders urged the Justice Department and FCC to reject the deal, saying monthly bills could rise as much as 10 percent.
To win support for the deal, T-Mobile had said it would not increase prices for three years and has pledged to use some spectrum for wireless broadband in rural areas.
Legere has also pledged to build 5G without using networking equipment from Huawei Technologies Co Ltd or ZTE Corp , two Chinese telecommunications firms distrusted by U.S. national security experts.
