APEX required the teams to produce a tentative concept of operations and scheme of maneuver that captured required campaigning activities to achieve success through the specific lens," said Col. John Gibson, USSPACECOM J35 Future Operations.

He added, the group focused on the lens USSPACECOM as a supported command generated the most options for how the Joint Force could support the command's mission.
"Getting the components, staff members, and AI tools to work in the same room provided us with an interesting perspective and built new relationships.
Everyone walked away with a better appreciation for our operational challenges, while learning more about how to re-imagine collaboration within the command," Gibson said.

In March this year, USSPACECOM signed its first AI/Machine Learning and Data Analytics Strategy and is operationalizing it across prioritized mission areas including integrated space fires; command and control; modernized, agile electronic warfare architecture; enhanced battlespace awareness; space systems cyber defense; and sustainment and logistics.

Gen. Stephen Whiting, USSPACECOM commander, wrote, "This AI strategy is necessary for our Combatant Command to quickly and effectively adapt to what is emerging as an era-defining technology that demonstrates significant and growing relevance to national security ...
We must lead the way in ensuring a safe and secure space domain for our nation, our Allies and Partners, and the rest of the world."

This summit demonstrated one way the command leveraged AI to enable rapid senior-level decision-making. The 2026 Coordinated Campaign Order will integrate the best inputs produced during the summit.
As the command synchronizes multidomain global operations with the joint force, allies, and partners, it will refine and integrate AI into its processes to enhance decision-making, operational efficiency, and mission success.

6 Other Times People Broke Into the U.S. Capitol

1. The War of 1812 Not long after construction ended on the U.S. Capitol's two wings in 1811, the British Army invaded Washington, D.C. during the War of 1812. British troops partially burned the Capitol on August 24, 1814. Reconstruction took about four years.

2. A bomb in the Senate On July 2, 1915, before the U.S. entered World War I, German professor Eric Muenter exploded a bomb in the reception room of the U.S. Senate, aiming to stop American support of the Allies. The next morning, Muenter tried to assassinate J.P. Morgan, Jr., son of the financier, whose company served as Great Britain's principal U.S. purchasing agent for munitions. He committed suicide a few days later. Ironically, Muenter's terrorism only enflamed America's war fever against the Germans.

3. Puerto Rican nationalists On March 1, 1954, four Puerto Rican nationalists shot 30 rounds from semi-automatic pistols from the Ladies' Gallery, a balcony for visitors, of the House of Representatives chamber in the Capitol. The shooters aimed to advocate for Puerto Rican independence from the U.S. They unfurled a Puerto Rican flag and began shooting at representatives while the House debated an immigration bill. The shooters wounded five representatives, but all of them recovered. They were convicted in federal court and given long sentences, effectively life in prison. In 1978 and 1979, President Jimmy Carter pardoned them, and they returned to Puerto Rico. Analysts claimed Carter pardoned the terrorists in exchange for Fidel Castro's release of several American CIA agents being held in Cuba, although the federal government denied this.

4. A leftist bombing On March 1, 1971, the radical left domestic terror group the Weather Underground exploded a bomb on the ground floor of the U.S. Capitol. They exploded the bomb as a demonstration against U.S. involvement in Laos. President Richard Nixon denounced the bombing as a "shocking act of violence that will outrage all Americans."

5. Another leftist bombing On November 7, 1983 the leftist terrorist group Armed Resistance Unit took responsibility for detonating a bomb in the lobby outside the office of Senate Minority Leader Robert Byrd. The terrorists claimed they intended to protest the invasion of Grenada. After four and a half years of investigation, federal agents arrested six terrorists and charged them with the bombings of the Capitol, Fort McNair, and the Washington Navy Yard. In December 1990, a federal judge sentenced two of the terrorists to lengthy prison sentences, while the court dropped charges against three co-defendants, who already served prison sentences for related crimes. On the day he left office, President Bill Clinton commuted the sentence of Linda Evans, one of the bombers.

6. The murder of two police officers On July 24, 1998, Russell Eugene Weston, Jr. burst into the Capitol and opened fire, killing two Capitol Police officers, Jacob Chestnut and John Gibson. Weston's motives remain unknown and he faced murder charges for the shootings. However, he was committed in a mental institution with paranoid schizophrenia.

The CEO of Tripwire, creator of the popular games Killing Floor and Red Orchestra, was forced to step down after expressing support for the Texas law to protect the unborn and leftists attacked him on social media.

"BREAKING: Tripwire Interactive CEO John Gibson is stepping down following severe backlash against his tweet supporting the Texas law that bans abortion after six weeks and deputizes private citizens to sue anyone who aids in the procedure, the company says," a Bloomberg reporter tweeted on Monday night.

The Hill reported the development:

Tripwire announced in a statement Monday that Gibson had stepped down and that co-founder and Vice President Alan Wilson will take over as interim CEO.

"The comments given by John Gibson are of his own opinion, and do not reflect those of Tripwire Interactive as a company," the statement read. "His comments disregarded the values of our whole team, our partners and much of our broader community. Our leadership team at Tripwire are deeply sorry and are unified in our commitment to take swift action and to foster a more positive environment."

Gibson's comments sparked backlash from the gaming community, with some gaming developers announcing they would no longer work with Tripwire due to Gibson's stance on the abortion law. Gaming developer Shipwright Studios, which had previously collaborated with Tripwire, responded to Gibson's tweet saying that "while your politics are your own, the moment you make them a matter of public discourse you entangle all of those working for and with you."

Market Watch reported:

[Gibson's] comment triggered more than 10,000 comments and 6,000 retweets, with much of the reaction angry, and many gamers vowing to never play the company's titles again.

The Roswell, Georgia-based company that was founded in 2005, is the publisher of such games as "Killing Floor 2" and "Maneater."

"If you're looking for a game developer/company to ignore, might I suggest Tripwire Interactive, makers of the somewhat popular Killing Floor series (what a Pro-Life name for a game!)? If you are wondering you can set Steam to ignore games from certain developers. I just did!

The previously mentioned comments from Gibson were Tweeted out on September 4, with the ex-CEO writing he was "proud of #USSupremeCourt affirming the Texas law banning abortion for babies with a heartbeat."


"As an entertainer I don't get political often," Gibson continued. "Yet with so many vocal peers on the other side of the issue, I felt it was important to go on the record as a pro-life game developer."

Following his Tweet, developers who have worked closely with Tripwire, including Shipwright Studios - who worked on both Maneater and Chivalry 2 - and Chivalry 2's lead developer Torn Banner Studios, spoke up against Gibson's statement. 6 Other Times People Broke Into the U.S. Capitol

1. The War of 1812 Not long after construction ended on the U.S. Capitol's two wings in 1811, the British Army invaded Washington, D.C. during the War of 1812. British troops partially burned the Capitol on August 24, 1814. Reconstruction took about four years.

2. A bomb in the Senate On July 2, 1915, before the U.S. entered World War I, German professor Eric Muenter exploded a bomb in the reception room of the U.S. Senate, aiming to stop American support of the Allies. The next morning, Muenter tried to assassinate J.P. Morgan, Jr., son of the financier, whose company served as Great Britain's principal U.S. purchasing agent for munitions. He committed suicide a few days later. Ironically, Muenter's terrorism only enflamed America's war fever against the Germans.

3. Puerto Rican nationalists On March 1, 1954, four Puerto Rican nationalists shot 30 rounds from semi-automatic pistols from the Ladies' Gallery, a balcony for visitors, of the House of Representatives chamber in the Capitol. The shooters aimed to advocate for Puerto Rican independence from the U.S. They unfurled a Puerto Rican flag and began shooting at representatives while the House debated an immigration bill. The shooters wounded five representatives, but all of them recovered. They were convicted in federal court and given long sentences, effectively life in prison. In 1978 and 1979, President Jimmy Carter pardoned them, and they returned to Puerto Rico. Analysts claimed Carter pardoned the terrorists in exchange for Fidel Castro's release of several American CIA agents being held in Cuba, although the federal government denied this.

4. A leftist bombing On March 1, 1971, the radical left domestic terror group the Weather Underground exploded a bomb on the ground floor of the U.S. Capitol. They exploded the bomb as a demonstration against U.S. involvement in Laos. President Richard Nixon denounced the bombing as a "shocking act of violence that will outrage all Americans."

5. Another leftist bombing On November 7, 1983 the leftist terrorist group Armed Resistance Unit took responsibility for detonating a bomb in the lobby outside the office of Senate Minority Leader Robert Byrd. The terrorists claimed they intended to protest the invasion of Grenada. After four and a half years of investigation, federal agents arrested six terrorists and charged them with the bombings of the Capitol, Fort McNair, and the Washington Navy Yard. In December 1990, a federal judge sentenced two of the terrorists to lengthy prison sentences, while the court dropped charges against three co-defendants, who already served prison sentences for related crimes. On the day he left office, President Bill Clinton commuted the sentence of Linda Evans, one of the bombers.

6. The murder of two police officers On July 24, 1998, Russell Eugene Weston, Jr. burst into the Capitol and opened fire, killing two Capitol Police officers, Jacob Chestnut and John Gibson. Weston's motives remain unknown and he faced murder charges for the shootings. However, he was committed in a mental institution with paranoid schizophrenia.
