WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rep. Earl L. "Buddy" Carter (R-GA) today introduced H.R. 25, the Fair Tax Act, a bill to replace the current tax code with a national consumption tax known as the Fair Tax.
The Fair Tax would repeal the current tax code and replace it with a single national consumption tax. In addition to eliminating all personal and corporate income taxes, the death tax, gift taxes, and the payroll tax, the Fair Tax would also eliminate the need for the Internal Revenue Service.
"The Fair Tax is exactly that - fair. It is the only tax proposal out there that is pro-growth, simple, and allows Americans to keep every cent of their hard-earned money, while eliminating the need for the IRS altogether. I'm proud to lead this Georgia-grown legislation that puts the American people, not bureaucrats, in charge of their tax rate," said Rep. Carter.
Original co-sponsors include: Reps. Andrew Clyde (R-GA), John Carter (R-TX), Scott Perry (R-PA), Eric Burlison (R-MO), John Rutherford (R-FL), Warren Davidson (R-OH), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Dale Strong (R-AL), Rich McCormick (R-GA), Barry Loudermilk (R-GA), and Andy Harris (R-MD).
"Hardworking Americans should not need a team of lawyers or accountants to fill out their taxes - they need a simple system that encourages growth and innovation. Taxpayers should not have IRS agents targeting them for wanting to keep more of their hard-earned money. That's why I'm proud to support this Georgia-led legislation - to simplify our tax code and ensure more Americans have an opportunity to achieve the American Dream," said Rep. Barry Loudermilk (GA-11).
"I'm proud to once again support The FairTax Act. This legislation provides a commonsense solution to eliminate the need for the weaponized IRS, simplify our tax code, and foster economic prosperity. It's time to enact the FairTax so we can empower hardworking taxpayers and make the American Dream affordable again," said Rep. Clyde.
"The Fair Tax Act would streamline and simplify our tax code, making sure everyone in our country, including illegal immigrants, pays their fair share. This Congress we have an incredible opportunity to advance a pro-growth tax agenda that allows Americans to keep more of their hard-earned dollars," said Rep. Strong.
"The Fair Tax simplifies the system while also broadening the revenue base, ensuring everyone contributes fairly while reducing tax loopholes and unnecessary complexity. By encouraging savings and generating stable, predictable income, it provides a sustainable path to reducing our national debt and setting the course for our country to get back on the right fiscal path," said Rep. McCormick.
First introduced into the U.S. Congress in 1999 by former Georgia Congressman John Linder and then carried by Georgia Congressman Rob Woodall, the Fair Tax is the leading tax reform movement in the country. It is the only tax system that is simple, efficient, friendly to economic growth, non-discriminatory, unintrusive, and FAIR.
"The Fair Tax requires immigrants who are in the U.S. illegally to pay taxes, denies them the consumption allowance provided to all legal U. S. residents, and eliminates instances of people using taxpayer-funded resources without paying into the system. President-elect Trump has called for a secure border, the elimination of the income tax, and an overhaul of government efficiency. The Fair Tax advances all three of these goals and is must-pass legislation for 2025," said Americans for Fair Taxation President Steve Hayes.

VA's projected $15B budget shortfall doesn't exist and agency has a $5B surplus, House lawmakers contend
WASHINGTON - A $15 billion shortfall that the Department of Veterans Affairs disclosed to lawmakers in an urgent request for emergency funding to cover veterans benefits and close the projected budget gap does not exist, House lawmakers said Friday.
VA leaders told Congress in September that they needed $3 billion immediately to close a budget gap or veterans would lose their monthly benefits on Oct. 1, the start of fiscal 2025.
Instead, the VA has a surplus of $5.1 billion from fiscal 2024, according to Rep. Mike Bost, R-Ill., chairman of the House Veterans' Affairs Committee, and Rep. John Carter, R-Texas, chairman of the committee's subpanel on military construction, veterans affairs and related agencies.
The VA also no longer projects a $12 billion shortfall for fiscal 2025. Higher costs for an increase in health care enrollments, payroll and equipment purchases all fell within original budget estimates, the lawmakers said.
"No benefits shortfall ever existed, and much of the information your leadership team has provided about a purported health care shortfall is erroneous," Bost and Carter wrote in a sharply worded letter sent Friday to VA Secretary Denis McDonough.
The lawmakers accused VA leaders of "an utter inability to forecast and determine costs accurately." "For the sake of veterans' and taxpayers' remaining confidence in the VA, we urge you to come clean about this situation," Bost and Carter wrote in the letter.

No Abortions, Pride Flags or Transgender Care: Republicans Use Spending Bill to Block VA Policies
June 13, 2023
House Republicans moved Tuesday to block the Department of Veterans Affairs from providing abortion services, flying LGBTQ+ pride flags at its facilities, and providing gender-affirmation surgery or hormones to transgender veterans.
The effort, made by GOP lawmakers in the annual VA spending bill, aims to stop the agency from following policies it sees as welcoming to women and LGBTQ+ people. Gay civil rights, transgender health care and abortion have all come under increasing attack from politicians on the right ahead of the 2024 presidential race.
The amendment to the spending bill barring the VA activities approved in a party-line 34-27 vote in the House Appropriations Committee takes aim at Biden administration policies that Republicans have spent months griping about. They vowed to roll back the policies when they took the House majority at the beginning of the year.
"This is something that should be handled by Congress, not by the executive branch," Rep. John Carter, R-Texas, the sponsor of the amendment and the chairman of the Appropriations Committee's VA subcommittee, said about the VA's abortion policy.
The language is not likely to survive negotiations with the Senate, which is controlled by Democrats and where an effort to undo the VA's abortion policy already failed earlier this year. But it signals that House Republicans are digging in on their long-held grievances.
In response to last year's Supreme Court ruling that has allowed states to ban abortion, the VA last year started offering abortions for the first time in cases of rape, incest, or where the life or health of the mother is at risk from the pregnancy. As of February, the VA has provided 34 abortions under the policy, the department told Congress in a letter in March.
The VA and Democratic lawmakers maintain the VA's abortion policy is allowed by a 1996 law that requires the department to give needed medical care to veterans.
But Republicans immediately cried foul at the policy, arguing it violates a 1992 law that directed the VA to provide reproductive health care except for "infertility services, abortions or pregnancy care," unless that care is needed because of a service-connected condition.
In addition to barring funding for the abortion policy, the amendment approved Tuesday would also add language to the VA spending bill modeled off what's known as the Hyde Amendment. The Hyde Amendment is an annual rider included in the Health and Human Services spending bill that prohibits funding from being used for abortions except in cases of rape, incest, or where the mother's life is endangered by the pregnancy.
The nonbinding report accompanying the bill also calls on the VA to regularly report to Congress on how many abortions it has provided under the policy and how much it has cost.

Democrats Vote Against Fully Funding the VA
May 22, 2023
This week, Republicans on the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Subcommittee displayed their continued support for our veterans by introducing and subsequently approving the Subcommittee's Fiscal Year 2024 bill.
After weeks of false claims and accusations that Republicans would cut funding to critical care and benefits offered by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Subcommittee Chairman John Carter set the record straight upon release of the bill:
During the markup of the bill, Chairwoman Kay Granger made it clear in her remarks that we can and we will reprioritize spending:
"With our markups this week, we will demonstrate how we are able to reduce overall spending without impacting our commitment to veterans, national defense, or homeland security."
The Chairwoman added: "This bill before us fully and responsibly funds veterans' health care. It will ensure our veterans get the medical treatment they deserve."
Subcommittee Chairman John Carter said during his opening statement, "We kept our promise! And we did it responsibly!"
He also noted: "We did not accept the proposed shift of more than $14 billion to the mandatory side of the budget. Instead, we utilized the Cost of War Toxic Exposure Fund as intended: to cover the incremental costs above the FY21 baseline to implement the PACT Act."
In a statement after the Subcommittee approved the measure, Subcommittee Member David Valadao said, "I'm proud that our bill fully funds the VA, veterans' healthcare, and other critical veterans' benefits programs."
"Despite the Biden Administration's baseless claims, House Republicans have delivered on our promise to care for the men and women who have served this nation," said Subcommittee Member Rep. John Rutherford in a statement touting his support of the bill.
Subcommittee Member Stephanie Bice was sure to flag the bill for the President
Meanwhile, Subcommittee Democrats rallied against the bill and shouted "NO" when voting on the measure, which does exactly what they said Republicans wouldn't do: fully fund the VA.
Instead of misleading veterans, Democrats should be working with House Republicans to ensure our nation's veterans are properly and adequately cared for.
A handful of other Appropriators echoed their support for the bill on social media

In a vote Wednesday evening, six Republicans in the Senate and 121 in the House backed objections to certifying Arizona's electoral outcome, while seven Senate Republicans and 138 House Republicans supported an objection to certifying Pennsylvania's electoral outcome. (We've included a full list at the end of this article.)
The lawmakers who upheld these objections, however, did so even though they were unfounded, won't be going anywhere, and further amplify lies about a rigged election. Neither objection obtained a majority of votes in either chamber, and both failed.

Mansions connected by underground tunnel for sale for $3.1M
Don't you just hate when you have to cross the street to get to your second mansion?
In an absurd solution to the ultimate first world problem, two mansions connected by a deep underground tunnel are up for sale for a combined $3.1 million.
Located in the upscale Carthage area of Missouri, the two Victorian-style houses are situated on nearly 13 acres of land and hold eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.
Known as the "Carter House" after Dr. John Carter, who was a veteran of the US Civil War, the original mansion with built with a wraparound porch between 1893 and 1896.
Decades later, cable and radio businesswoman Ruth I. Kolpin Rubison bought the Carter mansion and restored it after renting the home back in 1963. She lived out her remaining years in the carriage house.
Rubison passed away in 2019 at the age of 96 and her family took ownership of the two residences - the second of which was envisioned as perhaps the world's most ornate granny flat.
"What in the Sunday school is happening here," another quipped.
But the story behind the so-called throne room has a sentimental twist.
"It deserves the attention, it really does," Ron Petersen Sr., the son of Rubison told the Joplin Globe while giving a tour of the home. "This is not a small farmhouse you're selling here - this is a historical place, and at the same time, my mother really made it beautiful just in the time she spent doing all this. It was a labor of love; she loved the property very much."
Petersen explained that his mother was very proud of two large sugar maples that stood in front of the Carter Mansion. The trees were certified by the state of Missouri as bicentennial trees in 1976, which meant they were old enough to have lived in 1776 when the United States was born.
In 1998, a storm blew through town and took one of the trees down. The loss devastated Rubison, her son said.
"I said, 'Mom, look at the silver lining: You can take that tree, saw it into lumber, dry it in a drying shed and maybe build something with it,'" Petersen told Joplin Globe. "That's all it took. It wasn't long before she had built that gazebo around that tree to memorialize it."
Petersen said his mother used the gazebo as a place to entertain and installed an ice maker, refrigerator and tables and chairs along the circular walls around the stump.
Other ornate features of the home, such as a wood-adorned butler's pantry and massive underground safe, also had the internet in a flurry.

Exactly…I will NEVER vote for this corrupt scumbag again!!! Dan Crenshaw is a closet Uniparty player….he's no better than John McCain or Mitt Romney and many other Rino's. He's a fraud and I heavily support veterans but I don't support corrupt political hacks just because they served in our military!!! I will NEVER vote for this scumbag again. This is why: Dan Crenshaw along with Michael McCaul, Chip Roy, Kevin Brady and Ernest Gonzales all Republican't RINO's in Texas Congress And Sen. John Cornyn did NOT object to certifying the fraudulent election results of the 2020 election even with the amount of fraud that was proven to take place!!! Time to primary ALL of these corrupt RINO's out…they're either corrupt or stupid and NEITHER is going to cut it for Texas Congress members or Senators!!! Also, theseTexas House members also VOTED in favor to fund a Federal Vaccination Database: Dan Crenshaw, John Carter, Michael Burgess, Michael McCaul and Tony Gonzales!!! Primary them ALL out of Congress!!! Time to clean out the trash Republican't RINO's!!!

Q Research General #18949: For God And Country Edition
Endorsement of Congressman John Carter
Judge John Carter has been a tremendous Congressman for the incredible people of Texas. He helped secure our Borders, fund and build the Southern Border Wall (could be completed in one month by Biden!), defend our Second Amendment, and protect the Rule of Law. He is strong on Jobs, Education, Healthcare, and he fights hard for our brave Law Enforcement, Military and Vets. Judge Carter has been with us from the beginning, and has my Complete and Total Endorsement!

Q Research General #17885: 50 Audits in 50 Days Edition
Originally, about 14 Senate Republicans and roughly 140 House Republicans had planned to vote in favor of the objections, meaning some lawmakers did change their votes after the attack on the Capitol on Wednesday.
Those who did so have said they want to emphasize the legitimacy of Biden's victory and to repudiate the violence that was perpetrated.
"I cannot now in good conscience object to the certification of these electors," Sen. Kelly Loeffler said in a floor speech. "The violence, the lawlessness and siege of the halls of Congress are abhorrent and stand as a direct attack on the very institution my objection was intended to protect: the sanctity of the American democratic process."
Others who reversed their positions included Sens. Steve Daines (R-MT) and James Lankford (R-OK), and Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA).

GOP congressman 'forgot' to cast proxy vote that would have killed $1.9B security spending bill
Rep. Carter intended to vote against the $1.9 billion bill, but his proxy vote, which could have sunk the bill, wasn't counted.
California Republican Rep. Ken Calvert "forgot" to cast a proxy vote on behalf of Texas Republican Rep. John Carter that would have sunk the $1.9 billion post-Jan. 6 supplemental security spending bill, Just the News has learned.
Carter's letter granting authority to cast his vote by proxy to Calvert was submitted to the House clerk and accepted. Carter successfully voted by proxy Thursday on "the motion to recommit" that preceded the final vote on the supplemental security bill. Carter's spokesperson told Just the News that he would have voted against the bill if his proxy vote was counted for the final vote.
"The congressman included a statement in the record that he would've voted no," said Carter's spokesperson.
Calvert's spokesperson told Just the News why Carter's proxy wasn't counted during the vote on final passage the $1.9 billion bill.
"Rep. Calvert had been voting by proxy for Rep. Carter throughout the week," the spokesman said. "Rep. Calvert made a mistake and simply forgot to cast Rep. Carter's vote."
House members now have the option to vote by proxy in lieu of in-person voting due to rule changes that the House passed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the House, a tied vote can sink a bill, so a no vote from one or two of the GOP members who didn't vote would have blocked the bill from passing.
Florida Republican Rep. Daniel Webster was against the measure, but he's opposed to using proxy voting and was unable to vote in-person on the bill.
"Rep. Webster missed votes because he was unavoidably detained in the district and wasn't able to make it to D.C. in time to make the votes," a spokesperson for Webster told Just the News on Friday. "He likely would have opposed the bill - he didn't proxy vote on principle as he is on the record opposing proxy-voting and was part of the original lawsuit challenging its constitutionality."
Aside from the two GOP members whose votes were not recorded, all other Republican House members voted against the bill. The Democrat-led House passed the bill 213-212 on Thursday. There were three Democrats that voted against the bill and 3 Democrats that voted present.

2 arrested in Western Pa. human trafficking investigation
Harrisburg, Pa. - Attorney General Josh Shapiro recently announced the arrest of two individuals for allegedly seeking sexual contact with undercover law enforcement agents posing as minors.
These arrests are the result of an undercover investigation conducted by the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) and Robinson Township Police concerning online child exploitation and human trafficking throughout western Pennsylvania.
"Our Organized Crime Unit has been very active in investigating human trafficking cases across Pennsylvania, and will continue to prosecute offenders who exploit children and create a market for human trafficking," said Shapiro. "Thanks to strong collaboration with our local law enforcement partners, we will hold these individuals accountable for their crimes, and uncover child predators - wherever we find them."
On April 22, agents from the OAG and Robinson Township Police arrested John Carter, 58, for his alleged efforts to solicit sexual services from an agent posing as a minor boy and an adult male trafficker. He was charged with one count of unlawful contact with a minor, one count of attempted patronizing a victim of sexual servitude, one count of attempted involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and one count of criminal use of a communications facility.
The next day, as part of a similar investigation, agents and Robinson Township Police also arrested Simon Whaby, 55, for his alleged efforts to solicit sexual services from an agent posing as a minor and an adult trafficker. He is being charged with one count of unlawful contact with a minor, one count of attempted patronizing a victim of sexual servitude, one count of attempted statutory sexual assault, and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.
The cases are being prosecuted by Senior Deputy Attorney General Summer Carroll. All charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Both preliminary hearings will be held on May 11, 2021. This investigation was assisted by the OAG's Child Predator Section. When any individual is involved in or benefits from selling a minor for sex, that is considered human trafficking under state and federal laws. These defendants allegedly agreed to pay a minor for sex knowing they were a victim of human trafficking.
Earlier this month in Washington County, the OAG announced the guilty verdict in a separate human trafficking case. The defendant, St. Patrick Earl Levy, was found guilty of two counts of felony human trafficking of a minor and all underlying counts of promoting prostitution, corruption of minors and living off of prostitutes. The case was prosecuted by Senior Deputy Attorney General Katherine Wymard.

ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Two men were arrested in Robinson Township in connection with an undercover investigation into online child exploitation and human trafficking.
According to Attorney General Josh Shapiro's office, John Carter, 58, and Simon Whaby, 55, were arrested and charged in connection with the investigation.
Investigators said on April 22, Carter was arrested for trying to "solicit sexual services from an agent posting as a minor boy." The next day, Whaby was arrested for trying to do the same thing.

Race is a constant theme in the Barsoom novels, as Barsoom is distinctly divided along racial lines. White, Yellow, Black, Red, and Green races appear in various novels of the series, each with ethnic qualities that often seem to define their individual representatives. Although John Carter is able to befriend the Green Martian Tars Tarkas, who shows noble qualities, Tarkas is called an exception to the rule, and remains a noble savage. John Carter himself is white-skinned, so that Barsoomians sometimes identify him with their own surviving White race, known as the Holy Therns; for example, Carter successfully impersonates a Thern named Sator Throg in The Gods of Mars. Carter's unusual appearance and un-Barsoomian strength and agility make him a kind of mythic figure, capable of achievements that no Barsoomian could manage.

Full List: 77 Representatives, 13 Senators Pledge to Object to Electoral Votes
January 6, 2021
Ninety Republicans have committed to objecting to electoral votes during the joint session of Congress on Jan. 6, according to an Epoch Times tally.
That includes 13 senators.
Congress is convening in Washington to count ballots sent by state electors, under the Electoral College system. Congress will determine who is president-elect based on the votes.
President Donald Trump ran for a second term against Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
Objections must be in writing and have the support of at least one senator and one representative. An objection triggers a withdrawal from the joint session and a two-hour debate, followed by a vote. A majority vote in each chamber votes upholds an objection, which would nullify the contested electoral votes…..
See the full list of planned objectors below. This list will be updated if others commit.

https://piedmonttrails.com/2020/01/30/early-settlements-surnames-of-tennessee-1756-1780/
Fort Loudon began as a British fort located in present day Monroe County. During the year of 1756, it's construction was modest but as the months went by, the fort grew to a great barrier among the wild elements of the landscape. The relations between the occupants and the Cherokee were civil but grew to despair during the year of 1758. By August of 1760, the Cherokee attacked the fort and was able to force the surrender of Captain Raymond Demere and others. Records indicate as many as 24 individuals were killed in the raid. Those who were unable to escape were captured by the Cherokee and the fate of these souls remain unknown. Today, the fort has been preserved and rebuilt. The original plans and the placement of the buildings and their functions have been restored as a state park. Many artifacts have been discovered all through the years. As the fort stands today in remembrance of those long ago, let us remember the people who dreamed of a fort to establish trade and growth in the lands known today as Tennessee. Names associated with Loudon Fort are James Glenn, John William De Brahm, William Henry Littleton, John Elliott, John Stuart, William Richardson, Lt. James Adamson, William Richardson Davie, Henry Timberlake, Thomas Sumter and more whose names have been lost for now. The fort also housed at least sixty women and children during the years of 1756 to 1760.
Watauga Settlement
Following the demise of Fort Loudon and the creation of the Royal Proclamation of October 7, 1763, a new settlement emerged along the banks of Boone Creek in 1769. Settlers were now able to travel to the area legally in accordance to Royal law. Captain William Bean and his wife settled the area and welcomed the birth of their son, Russell during that first year. Other families followed such as Samuel Masenngill, Henry Masengill, Julius Dugger and Andrew Greer. Many of these families arrived from both the Carolina area and the Virginia area. These lands were not purchased but leased as it was illegal to purchase lands from the Cherokee. James Robertson and John Sevier were known to lease lands from the Cherokee however, I've not been able to locate a written source for such documents which would prove this theory. Jonathon Tipton, John Carter, Charles Robertson and Zachariah Isbell all arrived in the area prior to the year ending in 1771. Jacob Brown, Robert Allison, Leonard Hart, Jacob Womack, Jesse Walton and Benjamin Gist were among these as well. It is known that the family of John Carr arrived from the South Carolina area and is believed that other South Carolina families made their way to this area during the years of the American Revolutionary War.

Q Research General #15333: Why is Twitter No Longer Censoring President Trump Edition
The Biggest Janet Yellen Red Flag Is George Akerlof
In Phishing for Phools, a 2015 book that George Akerlof co-authored with Robert Shiller, the authors wrote without even a hint of irony that people "do not do what is really good for them, they do not choose what they really want." Please think about the previous bit of absurdity from the two economists. Maybe think a while.
If they're to be believed, we're all just a collection of idiots. That's what their allegedly careful economic analysis concludes.
Explicit in the authors' disdain for the hoi polloi is that we're all easy marks for manipulative advertisers who, backed by copious funds, can easily trick us into buying all manner of things we don't need. Better yet, they can allegedly trick us into doing what we otherwise wouldn't do.
Michael Bloomberg would likely disagree with the theorists. You see, just last spring he spent over $500 million on a presidential campaign that brought new meaning to inconsequential. He then spent $100 million to help buy Florida's electoral votes for Joe Biden in the recently concluded presidential contest. It seems Floridians were about as malleable as Democratic voters were. Bloomberg failed again.
Though Shiller and Akerlof bill themselves as "admirers of the free-market system," they doth protest too much. By their lights we're all "vulnerable" to the entreaties of greedy capitalists who are eager to "phish" us through fraudulent marketing techniques. Apparently we dupes have been "exploited by marketers for decades." Of course, actual markets reject the highly unoriginal musings of two economists making baseless claims.
If readers doubt this, consider the success of one of the world's best-known brands, Coca-Cola. When this marketing juggernaut rolled out New Coke in the 1980s, consumers very quickly rejected a disastrous attempt to alter the palates of the buying public. Ford Motor Co. was once thought to possess the ability to capture the dollars of the car-buying public until the Edsel came along. Disney properly touts its blockbuster movie history, particularly since the acquisition of Pixar, but no amount of marketing savvy could help the film behemoth overcome the execrable nature of John Carter, Around the World In 80 Days, and Mars Needs Moms.

Names are symbols
Per NASA:
"Yes, I have been to Barsoom again …" begins John Carter in Edgar Rice Burroughs' 1913 science fiction classic The Gods of Mars. In Burroughs' novels of Carter's adventures, "Barsoom" is the local name for Mars. The red planet continues to capture the imagination of science fiction writers and scientists alike and serves as an impetus for exploration.
NASA's Exploration Rover Spirit wintered on a small hill known as "Low Ridge," producing this 360-degree view of the Martian surface. There, the rover's solar panels tilted toward the sun to maintain enough solar power for Spirit to keep making scientific observations throughout the winter on southern Mars. This view of the surroundings from Spirit's "Winter Haven" is presented in exaggerated color to enhance color differences among rocks, soils and sand.
Spirit completed its 1,000th sol of what was planned as a 90-sol mission. (A sol is a Martian day, which lasts 24 hours, 39 minutes, 35 seconds). The rover has lived through the most challenging part of its second Martian winter and its solar power levels are rising again. Spirit's panaromic camera began shooting component images of this panorama during sol 814 (April 18, 2006) and completed the part shown here on sol 932 (Aug. 17, 2006).
Spirit has stayed busy at Winter Haven during the six-month Martian winter even without driving, acquiring significant new assessments of the elemental chemistry and mineralogy of rocks and soil targets within reach of the rover's arm.

Global Impact newsletter: escalating conflict in the South China Sea
Global Impact is a fortnightly curated newsletter featuring a news topic originating in China with a significant macro impact for our newsreaders around the world
In the eighth edition we will look at rising tensions in the
South China Sea and how this has increased the chances for
armed conflict between China and the US
John Carter
Published: 2:00pm, 21 Sep, 2020
"If you want to start a world war, a good way to do it is to mix the escalating conflict between two of the world's greatest military powers with the grievances of a half-dozen smaller countries over territorial claims.
That's the current situation in the South China Sea, the massive body of water that stretches more than 4,000km (2,485 miles) from mainland China in the north to Indonesia in the south - about the same distance between London and Chicago.
China has claimed the vast majority of the South China Sea as its exclusive territory, including areas claimed by six other governments - Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Vietnam - that consider them part of their own exclusive economic zones. A map of the conflicting claims can be seen in this graphic presentation, while the history of China's territorial disputes, including in the South China Sea, is explained in this video.
China considers the South China Sea one of its "core" interests, of equal importance as Taiwan, Tibet and Xinjiang, meaning it is ready to go to war to defend it. It has marked the territory by a "nine dash line" on its maps, and even on its passports, angering its neighbours.
China needs the oil and mineral wealth hidden beneath the South China Sea to supply its rapid economic recovery, as well as the fishing catch needed to feed the country's 1.4 billion stomachs."

Decade later, Tesla's signals from Mars were maybe actual comms from group that flew to Mars. 107 years ago, somebody visited Martian ruins? This 1903 Breakaway Civilization (SAC offspring) opposed to globalist-militarist occultist NYMZA. (Teutonic Knights?)
Steven Romano, gallery in NY, book about Charles Delschau art book of SAC airships, link to Trump. Romano points out some 1850's airships built by SAC member Trump → related to Q+ and his Uncle John? http://www.charlesdellschau.com
Last one: Disney also touched on German-villain and antigravity themes in their sci fi flop "The Black Hole." (SS Black Sun?). "UP" title hints at anti-gravity. And then there's Disney's "John Carter of Mars" - plot fits with SAC / Airship Mystery general timeframe, maybe alleged 1903 Tesla-Mars craft, too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Carter_(film)

I have listened to many presentations and interviews by Basiago and Mendez (the older man who was an Army officer). Some things stuck out at me and were perplexing, like missing a puzzle piece in the center right.
I watched John Carter last night and the ending really struck me as how similar it was to what both men described, to a point.
Fascinating.
I cannot for the life of me understand 'being bored.' There is so much out there, so many interesting things, how can anyone possibly be bored?! (rhetorical)

After pouring millions into Virginia elections, gun control group sets sights on Texas
'I would say anyone running for office in Texas should look to Virginia'
A gun control group co-founded by 2020 presidential candidate and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has announced a multimillion-dollar effort to support anti-gun candidates in Texas.
In a news release issued on Wednesday, anti-gun organization Everytown for Gun Safety said that it planned to spend $8 million in an electoral effort focused on state legislature and congressional races as well as "educating the voting electorate in order to make Texas competitive at the statewide level."
According to a corresponding memo about its plans for the Lone Star State, the group plans to put resources into 27 different House district races either trying to oust "gun lobby-backed candidates" or re-elect pro-gun control candidates, with a big focus on the Dallas and Houston suburbs. The memo also claims that the state House is "just nine seats short" of a pro-gun control majority.
On the federal level, the memo also says that the group will put efforts into trying to flip control of seats currently held by GOP Reps. Michael McCaul, John Carter, Dan Crenshaw, and Chip Roy, as well as three House seats currently held by Republicans who are retiring. The group also plans to defend two Democratic seats held by Reps. Lizzie Fletcher and Collin Allred.
"Gun safety has become a top issue for voters - especially in the suburbs - as Texas becomes younger and more diverse, and after years of horrific gun violence and lawmakers who fail to address it," a statement from Shannon Watts, the founder of Moms Demand Action, which is a part of Everytown, says. "That's why we'll focus on electing gun sense candidates up and down the ballot in Texas, where a majority of households own guns, because polling proves gun owning and non-gun owning parents alike want their children to keep their kids safe."
The group also notes that the $8 million Texas spending spree will be just part of its overall $60 million investment in the 2020 election cycle.
This isn't Everytown's first attempt to flip control of a state legislature. The gun control group took a victory lap over the results of Virginia's statewide elections in November after spending over $2.5 million on those races and capitalizing on a shooting that took place in the state earlier that year. Those elections saw the control of the general shift from Republican to Democrat and paved the way for the current Democrat-let gun control efforts going on in Richmond.
"I would say anyone running for office in Texas should look to Virginia," Watts said in a story by the Houston Chronicle. "Six months after a shooting in Virginia Beach, all of the elected officials who refused gun sense were voted out of office."
While the group was co-founded by Bloomberg, Watts said on a Wednesday call that Everytown was "totally separate" from his 2020 presidential campaign, according to CNN.
"Mike and I founded Everytown together. He's a critical part of the movement," Watts said. "But as the movement has grown, so has our organization and our funding. Mike has consistently provided between a quarter and a third of our funding, depending on the cycle. In 2019, he provided about 25% of our contribution. But our grassroots engagement has grown in leaps and bounds."

Ah, I thought you might have been talking about John Carter or other characters named John in sci-fi films. But JFK, I get you.
Is Pi the one where the guy drills a hole in his head at the end (trapanning) and the jews kidnap him and try to force him to do math for them?
And yes, the new BSG series was really good - especially the part about some being Cylons and not knowing it and the hybrid offspring of those very people with humans being the progenitors of humanity.
>It has happened before, it will happen again
It came out when the Japanese were really making some serious advances with robotics and I thought maybe those people would benefit from being strapped down, eyes taped open, a la A Clockwork Orange, and being forced to watch that series. I was very disappointed when they cancelled Caprica, that was a much better series, I thought.

I don't have any pictures of it personally, but if you are on the 101 and driving North, it is on your left (West side) on a smallish, white building as you pass by Shell Beach, just after Pismo Beach. Blink, and you will miss it.

U.S. Rep. John Carter
Updated at 2 p.m. June 21 to include contributions to U.S. Rep. John Carter, R-Round Rock. The headline was updated to reflect that GEO is the top donor for three Texas congress members.
WASHINGTON – One of the country's largest operators of private immigration detention facilities has made significant contributions to several Texas members of Congress.
The GEO Group's PAC and executives have given $32,900 to Houston Republican Rep. John Culberson's campaign this election cycle, according to Federal Election Commission documents and OpenSecrets.org. GEO is Culberson's largest donor.
In Texas, GEO operates detention centers for Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Karnes City, Laredo, Pearsall and Conroe.
Culberson is facing a tough re-election race against Democrat Lizzie Fletcher. The race has been rated a 'toss up' by nonpartisan analyst Cook Political Report.
Culberson received the most funding from GEO out of Texas members of Congress, but GEO is also the top donor this cycle for U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Laredo, who received $32,400, and Round Rock Republican Rep. John Carter, who received $31,600.

Interdasting article I stumbled upon…
Was Ennis Cosby Murdered by the Israeli Mob?
It can now be confirmed. The murder of Ennis Cosby was a hit-job by the arch-hedonistic, terminally corrupt Zionist mob. A direct connection to the Israeli Mossad is clear and categorical. No one can deny it. The players include both Chinese and Israeli mobsters, along with elements of the Khazarian Jewish mob of Russia. These elements are as follows:
Eli Zakaria (hit/execution coordinator)
Mikail Markhazev (actual hit-man)
Sara Ann Peters (execution cohort)
Carlos Rodriguez (assassination cover-man)
Christopher So (the felon who claimed the Enquirer reward, or so it is said)
Michael Chang (the felon who claimed the Enquirer reward, or so it is said)
Stephanie Crane (the fake witness in the fur coat)
Zakaria, Markhazev, Rodriguez, Crane, and Peters are all Jews. Virtually all such individuals are hardened criminals with significant criminal records. The agents were likely hired by the power ones of Hollywood itself, including the Jewish leadership of NBC or, more correctly, General Electric. Clearly, these criminal elements would tie to the highest powers in the land. This is why this could never come out in the public domain.
The Zionists were given favored status at the trial. Two of the key criminal elements, Eli Zakaria and Sara Ann Peters, were never even called to testify.
The poor man, God rest his soul, was shot dead. It was a set-up. None of the standard story lines have any basis of fact
As a means of obfuscation wild stories were told. It was to confuse and divert, for instance:
The important issue is not what they say or claim but, rather, the nature of the perpetrators. In other words, it wasn't just a lone gunman who happened upon Mr. Cosby. Rather, it was a concerted effort, a highly malicious one, by a number of Zionist agents working as a team, including Zakaria, Peters, and Markhasev, along with a number of other collaborators.
The Israeli connection is clear and undeniable. Zakaria, as in Zachary, fully demonstrated as a culprit, is the son of known hit-man and Israeli mobster, convicted murderer and drug dealer Joseph Zakaria.
There can be no doubt that this is the same Zakaria of arch-Israeli mobster fame. Per Internet researcher John Carter the following confirmatory archive was found: (see pics)
Read the capitalized commentary, how the Israeli mafia has infiltrated police departments and, therefore, is immune from full prosecution. Regarding the ring-leader of the California-based Israeli mob, Joseph Zakaria, the following was found: (see pics attached)
The bloodthirsty Zakaria was involved in one of the most gruesome murders conceivable yet he is only issued a conviction of second-degree murder and this, regardless, was reversed? This is the world of the Synagogue of Satan, make no mistake about it.
No one is speaking about this. Instead, the world is entrapped with the Zionist plot of false rape accusations.
Does it not sound familiar, which is to lure the victim to his/her death?
This is precisely what happened to Ennis Cosby. The criminal Zionist mobsters lured him into that dark, isolated region. The flat tire claim is a ruse. Moreover, in fact, it would appear than the Israeli mobsters were issued special favors by the Zionist-infested judiciary.
In the court of law, right before the bench, right among the police and District Attorneys, the Zionist mob can do as it wills, with its assassins, incredibly, 'refusing' to testify, perhaps even refusing to show up. This is true even though they are known, hardened criminals.
Arch-Zionist murder collaborator Stephanie Crane was also given special treatment.
Can anyone imagine it? She is an obvious Mossad agent. This six-times married woman to four men is treated with kit gloves. She is absolutely calm and collect, even 'cool', speaking without the slightest emotion after seeing a man getting shot in the head?
Regarding the gunman he, too, is directly tied to the Zionists. For certain Russian Jew and arch-street thug Markhasev is a mobster. For him the hit was a matter of mere money. He was likely paid in the thousands for his role. Is he even really in prison? For the Zionists he would be a hero.

It was Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), not Cruz, who originally introduced
legislation to award the Purple Heart to the Fort Hood victims in 2009.
Cornyn's bill coincided with a similar bill from Rep. John Carter (R-TX), whose district includes much of Fort Hood. Cornyn and Carter would introduce their bills again in 2011 and 2013.
Rep. Roger Williams (R-TX), Frank Wolf (R-VA), and Peter King (R-NY) all pushed the matter in their own
committees.

Air Force Academy installs thousands of cameras for cadet safety
The U.S. Air Force Academy has installed several thousand closed-circuit TV cameras on campus over the past year to create a safer environment for cadets and to deter criminal behavior.
The cameras were mentioned by Lt. Gen. Jay Silveria, the academy's superintendent, during testimony Feb. 13 before a subcommittee hearing of the House Appropriations Committee about the military service academies. The superintendents of each military service academy testified nearly two weeks after the Pentagon released its annual report on sexual assault and harassment at the academies.
The report's anonymous scientific survey found that 747 students said they experienced unwanted sexual contact within the last year, a nearly 50 percent increase from 507 students in 2016.
During the hearing Rep. John Carter, R-Texas, discussed how male and female cadets live in the dorms of the academies within their cadet companies and what can be done about their behavior when leaders are not there.
"How do we fix that in the military... so, you can't lay the blame on the officer, he won't see these things happening while he's there; they will happen while he's not there. ... There's so much (that) goes on (at) college campuses right now it's unbelievable. But yet we're holding you to a standard of honor," he said. "And how do we reach that? I don't know the answer.

wiki:A Princess of Mars is a science fantasy novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs, the first of his Barsoom series. It was first serialized in the pulp magazine All-Story Magazine from February-July, 1912. Full of swordplay and daring feats, the novel is considered a classic example of 20th-century pulp fiction. It is also a seminal instance of the planetary romance, a subgenre of science fantasy that became highly popular in the decades following its publication. Its early chapters also contain elements of the Western. The story is set on Mars, imagined as a dying planet with a harsh desert environment. This vision of Mars was based on the work of the astronomer Percival Lowell, whose ideas were widely popularized in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Her name sounds fake as fuck. Barsoomian means Martian from the John Carter books. It's also possible that Burroughs took a real name he'd heard for the name of the planet, so it could be legit.

Georgia Senate Judiciary Subcommittee Unanimously Passes Motion to Audit Fulton County's Absentee Ballots Using Method Outlined by Jovan Pulitzer
12-30-2020
By John Carter
Members of Georgia's Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Elections and members of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday held a hearing to study Georgia's Election Laws, and their past and present impact on the current Election cycle.
The star of the show on Wednesday was inventor Jovan Pulitzer.
Pulitzer explained how he could quickly audit their results using his technique of identifying fraudulent paper ballots and said he will do it for free.
Mr. Pulitzer said he has "no regard for the smoke and mirrors of how the machines work." - IT'S ALL ABOUT THE PAPER BALLOTS.
"I don't care about the machine. I don't even care about the code that was written in the machine. What I care about is that physical artifact [ballot] and that physical artifact has material differences district to district that should not be there."
Pulitzer said it would take him two hours to look at 500,000 ballots.

Country superstar Loretta Lynn passed peacefully in her sleep early this morning, Tuesday, October 4, at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. Lynn was 90.
Over the course of her 60-year career, the famous native of Butcher Hollow, Ky. amassed a staggering 51 Top 10 hits, garnered every accolade available in music from GRAMMY awards to induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and broke down barriers for women everywhere with songs like "Don't Come Home a Drinkin' (With Lovin' on Your Mind)," "Fist City" and "Coal Miner's Daughter."
Thanks to the Oscar-winning 1980 film Coal Miner's Daughter starring Sissy Spacek, Lynn's story and songs were brought to an even wider audience, amplifying her impact on several generations of songwriters and artists in various genres including Jack White, with whom Lynn made the GRAMMY-winning 2004 album Van Lear Rose.
Throughout her 80s, Loretta continued to write new songs and, in 2016, returned to the charts with the GRAMMY-nominated Full Circle, the first in a series of critically acclaimed albums produced by her daughter, Patsy Lynn Russell, and John Carter Cash at Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville, Tenn. She followed up with the seasonal classic White Christmas Blue (2016) and 2018's GRAMMY-nominated Wouldn't It Be Great, a combination of newly written songs and fresh interpretations of her catalog. In 2021, the American music icon released Still Woman Enough, a celebration of women in country music; her 50th studio album (not including her ten studio duet collaborations with Conway Twitty), Still Woman Enough featured a title track co-written with Patsy Lynn Russell and a deeply emotional "Coal Miner's Daughter Recitation," commemorating the 50th anniversary of the release of Lynn's signature song (October 5, 1970) and album (January 4, 1971). ...
