NASA Photographer Captures Images from F-18 Over Washington

NASA flight photographers capture history from a perspective few ever experience, getting a rare bird's-eye view of the agency's missions in action. Their photos document key NASA research and give the public a front-row seat to the work happening behind the scenes.

Jim Ross, a photographer at NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center in Edwards, California, flew over Washington during the Fourth of July celebration to document a NASA flyover commemorating America's 250th birthday.

He's captured some of the agency's most exhilarating milestones, like early SR-71 flights, the delivery flight of Space Shuttle Endeavour to Los Angeles, and first flights of NASA's X-59 quiet supersonic research aircraft.

"I grew up in Bozeman, Montana, when it was still considered a small town, so if someone told that little kid that he would be flying in a F-18 over the National Mall, he would have never believed it," Ross said.

"I love documenting history, and having the opportunity to capture flights and launches has kept me doing it for almost 37 years."

Ross began his aviation photography career in 1989 when he joined the staff at NASA Armstrong (then Dryden). He became the photo lead in 1997, a title he retains.

'I'd F* Your Old Lady In The A': Liberal Mayor Berates Christian At LGBT Festival

A Texas mayor was caught on video using disturbing language berating a Christian preacher at a LGBT festival, video shows.

Jim Ross, the mayor of Arlington, Texas, targeted the preacher during a 2023 LGBT event. The shocking moments were captured by Vice, though Ross's face is blurred and the footage has just now been uncovered by The Dallas Express.

Ross claims he's a moderate, but routinely pushes race-based and gender-based initiatives and has promoted LGBT "pride."

"I believe y'all can have free speech. But this is some hateful s*** and I am a heterosexual guy," Ross says in the footage, speaking to preacher Ruben Israel, who has since passed away.

"You stand out here like you are a b*da motherf*er," the mayor continued. "You don't think anal sex is good, do you? Have you ever f*ed your old lady in the a? I'd f* your old lady in the a."

Ross was not done, however. He called Israel a "p** mother*er" and told him, "Shut your a, shut your a, you little piece of s*. You ought to talk s*, these people around here are having a good f***ing time."

At the time of the confrontation, Ross was serving as mayor of Arlington, and currently holds the same position.

Tarrant County GOP Chairman Bo French said Ross needs to resign "immediately" over the conduct.

Tarrant County Republican Precinct Chair TK Campbell, also speaking to The Dallas Express, said Ross's unprofessional behavior mirrors that of prominent Democrats, who've clung to cursing as an apparent political strategy.

"The now Mayor of Arlington's vile, profanity-laced rant at the late Ruben Israel, a Christian street preacher, is a disgrace," Campbell said. "Perhaps the mayor was stressed out because of not being able to pay his taxes of late, but his unprofessional conduct mirrors the worst of today's cursing Democrats. Leadership demands better."

Campbell's comments regarding taxes seem to reference Ross recently having his wages garnished by the IRS. According to The Dallas Express, Ross owes $940.39 in penalties and interest and has an outstanding debt of about $175,000.

During his tenure as mayor, Ross has created advisory councils based on race, religion, and identity, including black, Asian, Latino, Muslim, and LGBTQ.

In 2023, Ross defended the forums during an NAACP event. "You have to have a black advisory council because, folks, black people are not the same. Did y'all know that?" he said, according to KERA News. "Latinos are not the same. Asians are not the same."

Back in the late 90's VKM came up with this brilliant story line with a group known as The Corporation.

The group was put together and led by WWF chairman Mr. McMahon in an attempt to secure control of the WWF and eliminate the more rebellious wrestlers, such as Stone Cold Steve Austin. Previously, McMahon started surrounding himself with an entourage consisting of The Corporate Stooges, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson, WWF commissioner Slaughter[2] and his personal enforcer Big Boss Man to help him quell the rebellious actions of Steve Austin. The Corporation was officially formed on November 16, 1998[1] when Shane and Vince McMahon along with Big Boss Man, Slaughter, and Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco reconciled, joining forces with The Rock, who was The Corporation's proclaimed "Crown Jewel" (and whom they helped win the WWF Championship at Survivor Series), holding the WWF Championship three times while part of the group. Later in the show, Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock would be recruited onto "Team Corporate", an unofficial name stated by announcers Jim Ross.

The group became notorious for using their political stroke in the company to give the group vast degrees of advantages in matches. Corporation members were known to adopt "cleaned-up businessmen" modifications to their individual characters. For example, The Rock's "People's Champion" modus operandi changed, as he became known as "The Corporate Champion" during his tenure in the stable. The group subsequently became the most dominant stable in the company by the end of 1998, with Corporate members The Rock, Ken Shamrock, and Big Boss Man holding the WWF, Intercontinental, and Hardcore Championships respectively. Shamrock and Boss Man were briefly double champions as well during this time, as they held the WWF Tag Team Championship.

The group proceeded to terrorize the rest of the WWF roster as well, freely using their political strokes and corporate agenda to put down their authority on other wrestlers. Besides Steve Austin, who was their main adversary, the popular faction of rebels D-Generation X (DX) butted heads with the stable over principles with DX leader Triple H challenging The Rock for the WWF Championship, but often losing due to screwing on the part of The Corporation. The stable also found themselves under attack by Mankind, who was still bitter at Mr. McMahon for screwing him out of the WWF title at Survivor Series by having the bell rung when The Rock put the Sharpshooter on him immediately despite not tapping (recreating the previous year's Montreal Screwjob).
