Firm Says Obama Admin Helped China Steal Their Tech. New Legal Action Seeks To Shut Them Up.

A new video series from small tech firm ParkerVision claims that big tech giant Qualcomm stole their patented groundbreaking technology before offshoring it to China - all while allegedly colluding with the Obama administration to get away with it.

Part one of the four-part series, called "Against the Giants," outlines how ParkerVision took Qualcomm to court in 2011, once they believed Qualcomm stole their patented chip. A unanimous jury verdict found Qualcomm guilty, but seven weeks later, the Obama-appointed judge decided to dismiss the entire case, citing "an insufficient evidentiary basis" over the alleged patent infringement. The shocking swing sparked ParkerVision to look further into the matter, allegedly finding collusion with the Obama administration.

Outlined as one piece of evidence in the series, ParkerVision says the Obama DOJ and the executive office of the president visited the company's website and viewed ParkerVision's litigation against Qualcomm before Obama flew to California to raise money for the DNC at the Qualcomm CEO's home.

ParkerVision and Qualcomm are still enthralled in a legal battle to this day.

Did the Obama Admin provide cover?"

Since the video series has gained traction online, Qualcomm has filed a motion for "Against the Giants" social media to be shut down, ParkerVision says.

"Qualcomm has filed a 28 page motion to the court to shut down our social media on the basis that we are infringing on their 'Constitutional right to a fair trial,'" an update posted Wednesday reads. "Qualcomm asks for 'immediate court intervention' that would result in a court order removing our posts."

"ParkerVision will be responding to the court shortly with our opposition to Qualcomm's motion," the account added.

"Right now, China is cleaning our clock, because we've allowed these companies to steal innovation, take it to China, and now the Chinese are now making their own products from those innovations and we are no longer building our innovation economy like we used to, and those chickens are coming home to roost," Jeffrey Parker, CEO of ParkerVision, said.

"We're doing this because it's the right thing to do," Parker said of the ongoing litigation. "We're fighting this so you don't have to. We're fighting this battle so that small innovators in America still have a future."

MARTA CEO Jeffrey Parker has died
Jeffrey Parker, a longtime transit veteran who since 2018 has led MARTA during one of the most ambitious periods in the agency's history, died Friday evening. According to MARTA, the cause of death was suicide. He was 55.
"The entire metro Atlanta region owes him a debt of gratitude for his transformational efforts and we will not stop working to build on the foundation he created," MARTA Board Chair Rita Scott said in a statement.
"As we struggle to understand the complexity of this tragedy, we grieve with and for his wife Erin, his daughters and all of Jeff's family and friends as well as his MARTA family," Scott said. "As we continue to grieve, we want you to know that suicide is preventable and help is available to you."
Background: Parker was named MARTA's CEO and general manager after a long career in the public and private sector, including 20 years with the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority and as the commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
He was guiding the agency during the early years of the $2.7 billion MORE MARTA program, a redesign of its bus network, new bus rapid transit routes, and a planned overhaul of its Five Points station.

Atlanta Transit CEO Jeffrey Parker dead after stepping in front of train

Jeffrey Parker, who led the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority during a time of expansion and then during the pandemic when public transportation ridership plummeted, has died, the agency announced.

A spokesperson for the agency, Stephany Fisher, said that Parker killed himself when he was struck by a train in the East Lake Station in DeKalb County at about 10:30 p.m. Friday.

"He was an outstanding leader and steward of MARTA whose passing leaves us all heartbroken," MARTA Chairwoman Rita Scott said in a statement posted on the agency's website. "We are devastated at this loss as we valued Jeff's leadership and looked forward to him bringing his vision for transit to fruition. The entire metro Atlanta region owes him a debt of gratitude for his transformational efforts and we will not stop working to build on the foundation he created."

Bill Floyd, a member of the MARTA board of directors and former Decatur Mayor, told Decaturish that Parker died after stepping in front of a train at the East Lake MARTA station in Decatur.

Others expressed their condolences, including Gov. Brian Kemp, who tweeted that Parker "had an incredible mind for transportation and logistics and a heart for people."

Parker was a nationally recognized transportation leader. On its website, MARTA said Parker had more than 35 years of experience in the transportation industry. During his career he served as commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Transportation and held leadership posts during his 20-year tenure at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority.

According to the website, Parker was consistently recognized as one of Atlanta's most influential leaders, most recently named among Atlanta Magazine's Most Powerful People of 2020 and Atlanta Business Chronicle's Power 100: Most Influential Atlantans of 2020. Parker was also recognized in 2019 by the Atlanta Chapter of Women's Transportation Seminar as its "Man of the Year" for his strong record of hiring and promoting women in the transportation industry.

In his nearly four years leading MARTA, the 55-year-old Parker oversaw expansion plans in Atlanta and Clayton County, according to The Atlanta Journal Constitution. The paper also pointed to his "solid performance" during the 2019 Super Bowl in Atlanta, when hundreds of thousands rode trains on their way to and from the game and other Super Bowl-related events.

While he helped negotiate a new labor agreement that resulted in 3% annual raises for workers, he also helped guide MARTA during the COVID-19 pandemic, one of the most challenging times for MARTA and transportation agencies around the country as ridership plummeted and illnesses among staffers increased.

On Saturday, the MARTA Board of Directors voted unanimously to name Collie Greenwood as the agency's interim general manager and CEO. Greenwood joined MARTA in 2019 as head of bus operations and was promoted to deputy general manager of operations in January of last year, according to a press release from the agency.

ATLANTA - MARTAChief Executive Officer Jeffrey Parker died late Friday, according to officials with the transit agency.

Parker, a veteran of the transportation business, had led MARTA since 2018. Channel 2?s Dave Huddleston was able to confirm the report early Saturday morning.


MARTA released a brief statement about Mr. Parker's death to Channel 2 Action News Saturday morning:

"With very heavy hearts, we share the official news of GM/CEO Jeffrey Parker's tragic passing on Friday evening, January 14, 2022. Please keep his family in your prayers and meditations.

In the coming days, we will share more information on the transition plan, including grief counseling for employees as we process this devastating news.

Jeff cared deeply about MARTA and his leadership gave us a strong foundation from which to carry forward."

MARTA's Board of Directors Chairwoman Rita Scott later confirmed that Parker's death was a suicide.

":As we struggle to understand the complexity of this tragedy, we grieve with and for his wife Erin, his daughters and all of Jeff's family and friends as well as his MARTA family," Scott wrote. "As we continue to grieve, we want you to know that suicide is preventable and help is available to you. For access to services and immediate crisis help, call the Georgia Crisis & Access Line (GCAL) at 1-800-715-4225, available 24/7."

In a unanimous vote at an emergency meeting on Saturday afternoon, the MARTA Board of Directors named Collie Greenwood as interim General Manager and CEO of MARTA.


New Atlanta mayor Andre Dickens released a statement about Parker, a man he called a close colleague and friend.

"I am shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden and tragic death of my colleague and friend Jeff Parker," Dickens said. "As MARTA'S General Manager and CEO, Jeff and I worked closely together when I chaired the Transportation Committee on City Council. Jeff understood that MARTA is more than just a transportation system-it represents connectivity for residents and visitors of our great city and region. My thoughts and prayers are with Jeff's family and friends, and with the staff and board at MARTA, during this very difficult time."

Georgia's Speaker of the House, David Ralston lauded Parker's vision for MARTA.

"Jeff Parker was a visionary leader - one who saw the awesome potential of transit and what it means for our communities," Ralston said. "He understood the power of collaboration and was an invaluable partner in moving our state forward. On behalf of our entire House of Representatives, I offer my condolences for his family and friends as well as his colleagues at MARTA."

Under Parker's leadership, MARTA has been in the process of modernizing its aging fleet of trains and buses.

On Wednesday, the agency released designs for 254 new rail cars at its "State of MARTA" event. They said the new cars are scheduled to arrive in metro Atlanta beginning in 2023.

Parker was at the event on Wednesday and had this to say about the new improvements:

"I see transit as a combination of lines and dots, with the lines being our buses and trains and the dots being the communities we connect and serve," Parker said. "This next year will be one of enhancing the dots and expanding the lines, reimagining what transit can and should be for the metro Atlanta region as it continues to grow."

MARTA CEO Jeffrey Parker, who led the public transit agency through an era of expansion and pandemic, died Friday night, the agency confirmed.

The agency said Parker died by suicide. An agency official confirmed he was struck by a train at the East Lake station. The DeKalb County Medical Examiner's Office said it could release no details of Parker's death until its investigation is complete.

"The MARTA Board of Directors grieves the shocking death of our GM/CEO Jeff Parker who has died by suicide," Chairwoman Rita Scott said in a statement Saturday. "He was an outstanding leader and steward of MARTA whose passing leaves us all heartbroken.

Cop Gets 25 Years After Video Showed Him Put a Shotgun to Innocent Man's Head, Murder Him

Huntsville, AL - In 2018, officer William Darby shot and killed Jeffrey Parker. He was convicted of murder in May and despite his conviction, for months, he remained on the force and even collected a paycheck. That has all changed, however, as Darby was just sentenced to 25 years in prison.

The facts against Darby were so overwhelming that there was no way to avoid a conviction and even the prosecution apologized for charging a cop, saying there was no way to avoid it.

As AL.com reports, Tim Gann, chief deputy district attorney in Madison County, said no one in his office wanted to prosecute a police officer.

"I think that's the worst thing we face is making that decision," he said, "because we do understand it's a dangerous job, we do understand that they're in harms way."

But Darby's actions were "so far out of the norm that he's got to be held accountable for that," Gann said.

"This is not about training," he said. "He (Darby) was trained properly. This is about going outside of the training and violating Alabama law."

Darby was charged with killing Parker, 49, at his home in April 2018. Darby shot Parker as he sat in his home with a gun to his own head, talking to another Huntsville police officer, Genisha Pegues who did not see him as a threat. Parker had called 911 and told a dispatcher he planned to shoot himself. The shooting was captured on body camera footage and showed that Darby's use of force was entirely unjustified.

During the trial, Pegues testified that she was de-escalating the situation when Darby barged in and killed Parker. As the body camera footage showed, Darby grabbed a shotgun from his car, kicked in the door, yelled at his fellow cop to point her gun at Parker and then shot Parker in the face with a shotgun, killing him - all within a few seconds. Parker never once pointed the gun at anyone but himself.

"An innocent man was murdered," Tim Gann, Madison County's chief trial attorney, told the jury at the time of Darby's trial. "He called for help and he got Ben Darby."

After being shown the footage and the facts, the jury took just two hours to deliver the guilty verdict. This was in spite of the city footing the bill for Darby's defense and used $125,000 of taxpayer funds for his attorney.

Following Parker's death in 2018, Darby was placed on desk duty and continued to work despite facing murder charges. On May 7, Darby was convicted of murder for killing Parker and despite this conviction, he collected a paycheck until July when he resigned. Instead of firing him, the police chief defended the killer cop.

"We are in the first stages of shock," Chief McMurray said in a statement after Darby's conviction. "While we thank the jury for their service in this difficult case, I do not believe Officer Darby is a murderer."

He added, "Officers are forced to make split-second decisions every day, and Officer Darby believed his life and the lives of other officers were in danger. Any situation that involves a loss of life is tragic. Our hearts go out to everyone involved."

Given that the mayor has already made a statement that Darby should appeal, it is highly possible that this convicted murderer will remain a cop on the taxpayer dime until that appeal, which could also be funded by the taxpayers.

"Jeff was in a mental state," said Bill Parks, Parker's best friend. "Jeff had issues. Jeff asked for help and it's very confusing to think that's by the book, apparently, for Huntsville police, it's OK to barge in ferociously, militantly, yelling and screaming at someone who had asked for help. To say he was showing an imminent threat to the police, Genisha Pegues showed that was not the case."
