In the US, conservatives have long manifested distrust of the Murdoch media, be it Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, or Fox News, due to the perceived shift in editorial stance, as well as mixed signals that at times support common sense policies, and at times betray it in the name of Globalist narratives.

But in the UK, the grievances are perhaps even more serious, as power celebrities and players denounce rogue investigative tactics such as illegal hacking of phones and even burglaries.

Hollywood Reporter reported:

"Hugh Grant has urged U.K. police to open a new criminal investigation into Rupert Murdoch's News Group Newspapers (NGN) in the wake of Prince Harry's landmark settlement, saying the job is 'not done by any means'."

On Wednesday (22), Prince Harry settled out of court just as his trial against the publisher of The Sun tabloid was about to start.

He claimed his privacy had been violated 'by alleged phone hacking and unlawful information gathering' carried out by journalists and private investigators working for The Sun.

Besides the reported U$12M payment, NGN also offered the Duke a 'full and unequivocal apology'.

"British star Grant - recently nominated for a lead actor BAFTA for his performance in Heretic - also settled a privacy claim against NGN last year, later explaining he may have faced a bill of up to ?10 million ($12.4m) - even if he had won. He had accused The Sun of using private investigators to tap his phone and burgle his house."

"'That's what they've done consistently over the last 10 years', the actor said. Ellen DeGeneres is seen back in Montecito weeks after moving to England and 'leaving US for good' post-Trump win

Just a few months after relocating to rural England and vowing never to return following Donald Trump's election win, Ellen DeGeneres is back in the good ol' USA.

The 66-year-old talk show host apparently couldn't stay away from her roots, specifically, Montecito, California, after she and wife Portia de Rossi reportedly decided to start a new life across the pond in November, new exclusive DailyMail.com photos show.

DeGeneres was snapped at her old stomping grounds last Friday while visiting Casa Dorinda, an elite retirement community known as the luxury care home where Julia Child spent her final days among other famous folks.

Dressed casually in a gray crew neck sweater, blue jeans, and sneakers, DeGeneres was seen pulling into a visitor's parking spot before entering a resident building.

It's not known who the Hollywood star was visiting at the home, but it's possible her wife's mother, Margaret Rogers, may have moved to the lux retirement community after she sold her Westlake Village townhome in 2020.

De Rossi, 51, however, was not seen with her wife during the outing.

The couple moved to the UK late last year but it is obvious they still have roots in the US and more specifically Montecito.

They are now reportedly living in the Cotswolds, a rural portion of Southwest England located about 100 miles from London, in a multimillion-pound farmhouse.

They are said to have 'fallen in love' with the picturesque estate set in acres of rolling Cotswolds countryside which also includes a helicopter pad and swimming pool.

The two were apparently so eager to make a quick getaway and land their dream property that they were prepared to pay ?2.5million (around $3million) more than the asking price.

The area is popular among celebrities and wealthy residents looking to escape the hustle and bustle of London - an ideal hideaway for DeGeneres and Rossi who famously left LA for Santa Barbara County's Montecito, 75 miles north.

Among the stars with properties in the Cotswolds are David and Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Patrick Stewart, Elizabeth Hurley, Jeremy Clarkson, and Damien Hirst, and many others.

The area is even home to royalty, as King Charles owns Highgrove House in Gloucestershire.

Kate Winslet has also had a mansion in the area at one point, though it's unclear if she still lives there, and Hugh Grant has been rumored for years to have a small hideaway in the Cotswolds.

Originally built as a farmhouse, DeGeneres and de Rossi's new home was converted into a modern luxury home more than 15 years ago but still retains its old-world charm, with the outlying barns connected to the main building via glazed passageways.

Just weeks ago, however, the couple were left virtually marooned when the area near their 43-acre property became swamped in a torrent of flood water following the impact of Storm Bert.

DeGeneres later shared a selfie on Instagram of her and her wife posing in the countryside to mark 20 years together with her 'best friend' and 'love of my life', and confirmed they did not suffer any damage from the storm.

'P.S. for those of you concerned, our UK farmhouse did NOT flood,' she wrote.

In October, The Sun reported that the couple had bought a Cotswolds property, so their purchase predates the 2024 election.

However, after Trump's win the married couple became 'very disillusioned,' and one source claimed the vowed to 'to get the hell out' of the US afterward, according to sources who spoke to TMZ.

Though many celebrities have threatened to leave the US in the face of a Trump win, most haven't followed through.

Stars including Cher, Barbra Streisand, Sharon Stone, and Sophie Turner have all said they were considering leaving the US if Trump won, though it's not clear if any of them will actually do so.

DeGeneres had plenty of reasons to want a fresh start away from home beyond Trump's reelection however.

Her career was tarnished - likely permanently - by accusations that she fostered a toxic workplace on the set of her eponymous daytime talk show, which aired its last episode on May 26, 2022.

She delved into her persona non grata status on her stand-up special For Your Approval, which was released on Netflix in late September.

The comedian joked that she had been 'kicked out of show business' in the special, which featured material about how she has been spending her time since the end of her TV show.

According to The Wrap, DeGeneres and de Rossi had either pocket-listed their Bali-inspired Montecito mansion, or plan to list it soon.

DeGeneres and de Rossi purchased the massive home for an eye-popping $27million in 2019.

The mansion features five bedrooms and 10 bathrooms over 8,188 square feet, and it includes exotic features like bamboo ceilings, flamed black limestone and gorgeous distressed oak floors.

There is reportedly an image of Prince Andrew that could shatter the Royal Family being kept under wraps by a photographer awaiting "the right price."

The image arose in the aftermath of the Prince's interview with BBC presenter Emily Maitlis on November 14 2019 at Buckingham Palace, where he was questioned about his relationship with paedophile and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The BBC employee, Photographer Mark Harrison, who claims to have the picture, and who worked covering the disastrous Newsnight interview said the photo would cause a commotion if it was ever made public.

A source even said the image was 'jaw-dropping' - but gave little more detail.

It is understood Andrew insisted the picture is never made public but an insider close to the show teased that everything has a price.

A source said: "It's the kind of thing which would make the public drop their cornflakes, it is definitely not what Andrew would want out there and apparently he insisted that it remained secret.

"Our jaws dropped to the floor when we saw it. It would cause Andrew much embarrassment.

"There is, of course, a chance that it will at some point come out for all to see, perhaps if the price is right and of course, the movie about the interview is happening so that is a possibility."

The Duke of York's car crash interview is reportedly set to be turned into a movie and could star Hugh Grant - and in-the-know producers may want to recreate their own version.

A spokeswoman for the Prince declined to comment.

The fallout from the interview led to the Duke of York pledging to step back from public life - and he made no public appearances at his mother the Queen's recent Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

he pink-faced young man at the dispatch box of the Oxford Union looked slightly bewildered. He glanced up at the packed chamber, nervously fingering his mop of blond hair, as if he'd been transported there through a window in the space-time continuum.

This was October 1983 and it was a 'freshers debate', an opportunity for new arrivals to make a good impression on the senior members of the famous debating society. I was due to speak after this young man and had spent several days preparing.

'Can someone kindly remind me what the motion is?' he asked in an exaggerated, upper-class accent. Who was this pantomime toff?

This house would bring back capital punishment,' someone cried out.
'Oh yes, right, of course,' he said, ruffling his hair. Then he looked up, feigning surprise. 'Crikey Moses. Capital punishment. Really? I'm not in favour of that!'

And he ostentatiously crossed the floor, positioned himself at the other dispatch box and started denouncing the motion in what might be called the high Parliamentary style - half-serious, half-comic.

After a few minutes, as he happily demolished the case for capital punishment, the young orator interrupted himself mid-flow. 'No wait,' he said.

'That's actually a pretty good argument. I think I'm in favour of the motion after all!' He then crossed the floor once again, and made an impassioned case for the other side.

An Arizona state trooper shot and killed a Qatari man who was in the U.S. on a student visa after he violently attacked the officer patrolling for drunken drivers along with a member of the group Mothers Against Drunk Driving, authorities said Friday.

The state trooper spotted 25-year-old Mohamed Ahmed Al-Hashemi throw a street sign onto a road in suburban Phoenix late Thursday and ordered him to pick it up, said Col. Frank Milstead, director of the Department of Public Safety.

Al-Hashemi wouldn't pick it up, then began walking in the middle of the road and wouldn't obey commands to stop, Milstead said.

Trooper Hugh Grant used a stun gun but it didn't subdue Al-Hashemi, who then rushed the officer and punched and kicked him.

"It was a vicious encounter," Milstead said before showing dashboard camera video of the attack. "He was in a fight for his life."

The video shows the men tussling, and at one point, Al-Hashemi throws Grant to the ground.

The trooper fired his weapon, killing Al-Hashemi, the DPS chief said.

Grant feared for his life and the life of a woman riding along with him as a member of the group also known as MADD. Police often allow private citizens and journalists to come on "ride-alongs" while they patrol.

"When he began to realize this was escalating, he was trying to keep her out of danger," Milstead said.

Authorities said they didn't know if Al-Hashemi was impaired. The trooper had injuries to his face and head and is resting at home.

Authorities say Al-Hashemi was arrested for trespassing at the Islamic Community Center of Tempe on Wednesday. Police in the Phoenix suburb of Tempe responded to a disturbance at the mosque around 4:30 a.m. At the center's request, officers gave Al-Hashemi a warning and told him not to return, police spokesman Greg Bacon said.

Al-Hashemi returned in the early afternoon and officers were called again. Bacon said he was then arrested on a misdemeanor charge of trespassing and booked into jail.

It's unclear how long Al-Hashemi has been living in the U.S. He was a former student at Arizona State University, which is based in Tempe, according to school officials. They didn't provide other details.

The government of Qatar, a small, energy-rich nation on the Arabian Peninsula that's home to the forward headquarters of the U.S. military's Central Command, did not immediately respond to a request for comment Saturday. Like other Gulf Arab nations, Qatari students regularly go abroad to the U.S. for their studies.

The Islamic Community Center of Tempe didn't immediately respond to calls and emails seeking comment.

First built in 1979, the M1 remains almost freakishly survivable, highly upgradable, and is expected to remain the heart of American armored power for years to come, if not decades.

When the Army needed to counter masses of modernizing Soviet armor at West Germany's Fulda Gap, only the best tank in the world would do – and American private industry delivered.

"OK, OK, it's a great war machine," some might say, "but does the M1 Abrams belong at a celebration of America's independence from Great Britain?"

You're damn right it does.

When the Founders published the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, war had been raging for a year already. The speech verified and unlocked so much? Figured it was worth a shot, I found Q because of Twitter comments when Assange went MIA on Christmas. This was before my time.

Well, POTUS opened his speech with that weird emphasis thing he does and he said, being in Pensacola, "Emerald Coast." (It's almost like an audible version of all CAPS).

So, google didn't help at first. But I googled "Emerald Coast -Florida". After a glitchy search experience, saw a couple in other countries and I clicked this link about one in France.
