Congressman Gains From Oracle Stock As Company Moves Into AI

Oracle Corp (ORCL:US) is an American company offering global products and services for enterprise information technology, providing cloud-based industry solutions, application licenses, and license support services.

Rep. Thomas Kean Jr. purchased up to 150 shares of ORCL on Dec 14, 2023. Listed as being a subholding of Kean Family Partnership, the trade was valued between $1,001 and $15,000.

On January 29, Oracle Corp stock closed at $113.75, in what would be its second consecutive day of losses. Despite heading downwards, the tech stock still holds a solid history behind it having climbed price charts by 30.22% in the past year. Since after Kean's purchase, ORCL shares have surged by almost 13.40%.

Much of the debate around Oracle can be estimated due to the company foraging into AI. In the company's Fiscal Q2 2024 earnings report, the company CEO Safra Catz said, "Demand for our Cloud Infrastructure and Generative AI services is increasing at an astronomical rate". While much of the earnings fell below expectations, Oracle did land a 25% rise in Cloud revenues in the quarter.

In early January, Oracle officially introduced its Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Generative AI (OCI GenAI) service. Designed for enterprise use, the program specifically targets applications with large language models. Oracle anticipates continued rapid growth in cloud infrastructure revenue, potentially doubling every two years, becoming a substantial growth driver for the company. In addition, the GPU's cluster technology has attracted leading AI start-ups like Adept AI, Cohere, and Elon Musk's xAI.

Other Congress members who stocked up on ORCL in 2023 included Representatives Ro Khanna, Greg Stanton, Michael Guest, and Josh Gottheimer. Gottheimer, Khanna, and Stanton also sold ORCL not too long after purchasing stakes.

Some senior Democrats are reportedly so disappointedwith President Joe Biden's decision to pardon his son, Hunter Biden,that they are threatening to withhold funding for Biden's presidential library.

The controversial decision, in tandem with Biden's move to drop out of the 2024 presidential election less than four months before Election Day,has left a sour taste in donor's mouths, according to a recent Axios report.

As a result, Biden could be facing a financial obstacle in trying to build his presidential library - a historical tradition for presidents once they leave office.(this will be the thing that Bidan will lose his mind about. He considers himself the best President of all time.)

"If they had their s*** together, they would have been doing the work on this over the summer - right after he announced he was stepping aside," an unnamed Democrat told the news outlet. "Now, it's just too late. Hopefully, they are rightsizing their expectations and budget."

A person familiar with Biden's post-president planning told The Independent, "that sentiment hasn't come up in a single donor conversation" and that "work is well underway."

Presidential libraries are a nationwide network of libraries, maintained by the National Archives, that include records and historical collections representing a president's time in office.

They are typically funded by private donors and non-profit organizations.

Biden's decision to pardon his son, who was convicted on three federal gun-related charges and nine federal tax-related charges this year, led to intense backlash from Democrats and Republicans. For months, Biden had promised to not pardon his son but then suddenly reversed course.

Democrats like Senator-elect Adam Schiff, Governor Jared Polis, Senator Michael Bennet and Representative Greg Stanton all issued statements expressing disapproval of the pardon, believing it sets a bad precedent.

One snap poll from YouGov found thatmore than half of U.S. adults disapproved of Biden's decision.

For some, the pardon is the nail in the coffin after a year of frustrations with the president. His poor debate performance, initial refusal to drop out of the election and palpable retreat from the public eye has ultimately left relationships frayed.

In contrast, other Democrats supported Biden's pardoning of Hunter. Overall, approximately 64 percent of Democrats approved of the decision, according to the YouGov poll.

Former president Bill Clinton, Representatives James Cylburn, Hakeem Jeffries, Eric Swalwell and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi all voiced support for the president's decision.(the most criminal leaders possible, because they want a pardon)

In response to the report, a spokesperson for the White House touted Biden's legacy in lowering drug costs, fighting climate change, leading the U.S. out of the pandemic, creating and passing the largest infrastructure package in 70 years, and taking on gun reform.

"President Biden continues to deliver historic progress every day, and his legacy will benefit the American people for generations," the spokesperson said.(yeah right, the lowering rx drugs was and is Trump's policy, it didn't kick in until Bidan got in so he takes the credit. Ronnie Lopez, who rose from the mountainous mining town of Miami to become a top powerbroker in Democratic politics in Phoenix and a mentor to hundreds of young people, has died.

Lopez was 73.

He died at his home in north-central Phoenix, his goddaughter told The Arizona Republic.

Lopez was best known for a wise lesson to his compadres, from the late Rep. Ed Pastor, D-Ariz., to young people trying to break through in politics: The biggest gift you can give is of your time.

Lopez caught the eye of Babbitt, then Arizona attorney general. They became fast friends and Lopez joined Babbitt's staff in 1978, when Babbitt became governor.

"If anyone had the blessing of hanging out with Ronnie Lopez, it will always be remembered as one of the best nights of your life," said Rep. Greg Stanton, D-Ariz., a former Phoenix mayor who spent a lot of time on Lopez's back porch.

2018 MIDTERMSBOMBSHELL: Arizona Republican Party Accuses Government Official of Coordinating with Democrats to Secure Votes

Republicans in Arizona were suspicious after elections that seemed won by the GOP on election night slowly shifted to Democrat victories in the days after the election.
Now, it appears that an internal election audit commissioned by the Arizona Republican Party, released Thursday, may offer some answers on what happened in the state's closest election in recent memory.

The 228-page memo details several suspect and concerning practices employed by County Recorder Adrian Fontes, a Democrat. Fontes has already earned a reputation for controversy among election integrity advocates in Arizona, for a series of incidents including telling a candidate for the state legislature to "go f- yourself" on Facebook.


The audit, announced shortly after the election, was overseen by Stephen Richer, a Phoenix-area attorney with considerable experience in auditing major public and private organizations

The audit references reports accusing Fontes of privately coordinating the location of "emergency voting centers" with Democratic candidate Kyrsten Sinema (who went on to win the state's U.S Senate election). Allegedly, staffers with the Sinema campaign were well aware of the location of said voting centers before the general public, which are reserved for the use of voters who are unable to cast an early ballot because of a supposed emergency.

The campaign of Republican Martha McSally was left in the dark on the matter, while Sinema campaign staffers worked with local Democratic voters to guide them to an emergency voting center. The audit describes the Sinema campaign as even going so far as to perform literature drops in neighborhoods surrounding emergency voting centers.

All five emergency voting centers opened by the County Recorder's office were placed in Democratic-trending areas by voting registration, despite Maricopa County having more registered Republicans by population

Perhaps most concerning is the sworn affidavit documented in the audit in which an Arizona voter describes seeing ballots pre-marked for Sinema and Democrat candidate Greg Stanton on election day.

Can the people of Arizona trust the partisan Democrat with a known tendency of discrepancies to oversee elections?
