>>20653384 PB LAPD Rampart scandal
The Rampart scandal was a police corruption scandal which unfolded in Los Angeles, California, United States, during the late 1990s and early 2000s. The scandal concerned widespread criminal activity within the Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums (CRASH) anti-gang unit of the Los Angeles Police Department's Rampart Division. More than 70 police officers were initially implicated in various forms of misconduct, including unprovoked shootings and beatings, planting of false evidence, stealing and dealing narcotics, bank robbery, perjury, and cover-ups thereof.[1]
Of the 70 officers initially implicated, enough evidence was found to bring 58 before an internal administrative board. However, only 24 were actually found to have committed any wrongdoing, with twelve given suspensions of various lengths, seven forced into resignation or retirement, and five terminated.[2] As a result of the falsified evidence and perjury by Rampart CRASH officers, 106 prior criminal convictions were overturned.[3]
The scandal resulted in more than 140 civil lawsuits against the City of Los Angeles, costing the city an estimated $125 million in settlements.[4] Partly as a result of the scandal, Mayor James Hahn did not rehire Police Chief Bernard C. Parks in 2002. Both the scandal and the de facto firing of Parks are believed to have precipitated Hahn's defeat by Antonio Villaraigosa in the 2005 mayoral election.[5][6]

Jimmy Fallon Performed His Donald Trump Impression In Front Of Donald Trump
The cocky billionaire and GOP presidential frontrunner promised he'd apologize - should he ever be wrong.

Appearing on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Friday Night, Republican presidential contender Donald Trump engaged in a hard-hitting interview with himself. Well, sort of.
Douglas Gorenstein / NBC
With Fallon doing a perfect Trump impression, the pair sat opposite one another on either side of a fake mirror, performing a sketch in which the billionaire tried to motivate himself for the interview.
"The only one qualified to interview me is me," Fallon/Trump said.
NBC
When asked how he would create jobs in the U.S., Trump said he was "just going to do it."
"By doing it. It just happens. Just by doing it," he explained.
"Geeeenius," Fallon/Trump said.
When asked how he would convince Mexico to pay to build a wall on the U.S. border, Trump turned the question back around on his doppelg?nger.
"I'll challenge them to the biggest game of Jenga ever. I'll make them set up the board, and then when they're finished I'll say, 'I don't want to play anymore,'" Fallon/Trump said.
We also "learned" that Trump thinks former Celebrity Apprentice star Gary Busey might be a good Supreme Court nominee, and that, instead of Sarah Palin, Trump is thinking of asking Kanye West to join him as a running mate.
NBC
The real interview also proved interesting, with Fallon stumped as to how Trump has catapulted to the top of the GOP polls.
Douglas Gorenstein / NBC
"I think they want our country to be respected again," Trump said of the support he has found among voters. "I think they feel that if I'm president, I will do some great things for our country, and we're gonna be respected again."
Fallon praised Trump for his "refreshing" and "off-the-cuff" style, which he said can often cause the real-estate developer some trouble.
"I think you dig yourself a hole sometimes, a deep hole, and then instead of getting out of the hole, you just dig deeper. And if you keep digging, eventually you might come out in China and be the president of China," Fallon quipped.
Fallon also asked Trump if he'd ever apologized for anything during his lifetime.
"I fully think apologizing is a great thing," Trump said. "But you have to be wrong."
"I will absolutely apologize sometime in the hopefully distant future if I'm ever wrong."

Bodyguard's Hilarious Queen Elizabeth Story Resurfaces In Wake Of Her Death
The story involves the queen pranking unsuspecting American tourists.
Elyse WanshelSep 8, 2022, 05:57 PM EDT
In the wake of Queen Elizabeth II's death on Thursday, some are opting to remember her humor - such as BuzzFeed News journalist David Mack.
On Thursday, Mack shared a video of the queen's former royal protection officer, Richard Griffin, telling a very funny story about the monarch in honor of her Platinum Jubilee in June.
"This remains an all-time story about the queen," Mack captioned the video.
In the video, Griffin shares a story about a time the queen pranked two American hikers. He explained that he accompanied themonarch on a picnic in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, near Balmoral Castlewhen they ran into the tourists, who were on vacation in the area.
"The Queen would always stop and say hello ... it was clear from the moment we first stopped they hadn't recognized [her]," he told Sky News.
So the American tourists started making small talk with the queen before asking her if she lived in the area.
"She said, 'Well, I live in London, but I've got a holiday home just the other side of the hills.'"
One tourist then asked the queen how long she had been visiting the area, and the queen replied, "'ever since I was a little girl, so over 80 years'" Griffin recalled.
That's when curiosity apparently struck the Americans.
"'Well, if you've been coming up for 80 years, you must have met the queen?'" one of them asked her.
Without missing a beat, the queen replied, "Well, I haven't, but Dickie here meets her regularly,'" referring to Griffin by a nickname.
The bodyguard then said the tourist turned to him and asked him what she was like.
And it seems Dickie was feeling a bit mischievous as well and followed the queen's lead.
"'She can be very cantankerous at times, but she's got a lovely sense of humor,'" Griffin said he told the tourist.
Still oblivious to the fact he was in the presence of royalty, the tourist threw his arm around the bodyguard and put his camera into the queen's hand, asking if she'd mind taking a photo of the two of them. The queen obliged.
The tourists then took a snap with her as well and went on their way.
Griffin remembered that once the tourists were out of earshot, the queen turned to him and said:
"'I'd love to be a fly on the wall when he shows those photographs to friends in America. Hopefully, someone tells him who I am.'"

True Crime Files: Who shot Biggie Smalls? Retired LAPD detective reveals what he knows
By Gina Silva
Published March 3True Crime FilesFOX 11
https://www.foxla.com/news/true-crime-files-who-shot-biggie-smalls
He's remembered by many as one of the greatest rappers of all time.
The death of Christopher Wallace, also known as the Notorious B.I.G. or Biggie Smalls, shocked the world after he was ambushed in the streets of Los Angeles during a visit on March 9, 1997.
In a video from our FOX 11 True Crime Files, the other vehicle is seen pulling up alongside and the driver shoots numerous times into an SUV occupied by Biggie Smalls. The drive-by shooting took place just outside the Petersen Automotive Museum on Wilshire Boulevard and South Fairfax Avenue.
The hip-hop superstar was shot multiple times while sitting on the front passenger side of the SUV. There were plenty of witnesses but no one could give an accurate description of the shooter.
Biggie Smalls' death came about six months after rival and fellow hip-hop icon Tupac Shakur was shot and killed in Las Vegas. The two larger-than-life artists were the faces of the East Coast vs. West Coast rivalry in hip-hop. Biggie Smalls was a Brooklyn native who was with Diddy's Bad Boy Records and Shakur represented the west coast with Marion "Suge" Knight's Death Row Records.
"I was assigned to Biggie's case as a result of a re-investigative effort by the LAPD," said retired detective Greg Kading.
Kading was assigned in 2006 to the Biggie case after several leads had gone cold, including a lawsuit against LAPD alleging that officers David Mack and Rafael Perez were involved in the murder and a coverup. That lawsuit was later dropped.
"It's been so many years. Why hasn't this case been solved?" Asked FOX 11's Gina Silva.
"If you were to ask me, I would say that it is solved," Kading said. "I would say that it's solved but unprosecuted.
WHO SHOT BIGGIE SMALLS?
After years of investigating this case, Kading says he can finally prove what many music fans had long suspected. The Notorious B.I.G. was murdered in retaliation to Shakur's shooting death.
Kading alleges the hit was ordered from inside county jail.
"At the time Biggie Smalls was killed, Suge Knight was in the county jail, so in order for him to communicate with someone on the street, he had to go through an intermediary who was this female who was visiting him in jail," the retired LAPD detective said.
On May 29, 2009, LAPD and FBI documented that woman's statement. Her identity is being protected, Kading says. She worked out an agreement that nothing would be used against her.
"While she's telling us, you know she's got tears in her eyes," Kading recalled. "She's clearly frightened."
Kading says the woman would visit Knight pretending to be a legal assistant.
"That allows her to go in and sit down with Suge and have unmonitored visits. Deputies can't stand over, listen on the phone, they can't stand there and overhear the conversation. So that's how it was set up so that she could have confidential conversations. So that's how it was set up so she could have confidential conversations."
A statement issued by LAPD says, "During more than one of these visits, Knight instructed [REDACTED] to help him coordinate the murder of Christopher Wallace."

"Don't Look Away From Me!" - Sexual Assault Survivor Accosts Flake After Confirmation Vote News
https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-09-28/sen-jeff-flake-says-he-will-support-kavanaugh-moderates-fall-line
"Update: In a cringe-worthy clip that's making the media rounds on Friday, a sexual assault survivor confronts Flake and berates him for saying he will vote to confirm Kavanaugh, claiming that his vote is tantamount to telling her that "my assault doesn't matter."
A sexual assault survivor just confronted Jeff Flake (who just announced he's voting for Kavanaugh): "Don't look away from me! Look at me and tell me that it doesn't matter what happened to me, that you will let people like that go into the highest court of the land" pic.twitter.com/Jix2BI090B
- David Mack (@DavidMackau) September 28, 2018
And we wouldn't be surprised to see activists accost Flake's fellow Republicans.
* * *
If there was any doubt left that Judge Brett Kavanaugh's impassioned testimony on Thursday before the Senate Judiciary Committee had convinced skeptical moderates to back his nomination, it has just been eliminated."
We all know his tiff against POTUS and Patriots. Now, we know that he refused to vote YES despite it all, and dead set of making delays.
Thoughts, anons?

actually reminds me of Tom M re 'Naked' now that i think about it except Tom used grapes and Pac used jewelry kek
they say Pac sold out to suge and going by the timeline, almost looks correct
then i hear about rampart scandal in game's music and i always wonder
so then i look up rampart scandal and they say suge had police in his pocket
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rampart_scandal
in the late 1990s. More than 70 police officers either assigned to or associated with the Rampart CRASH unit were implicated in some form of misconduct, making it one of the most widespread cases of documented police corruption in U.S. history, responsible for a long list of offenses including unprovoked shootings, unprovoked beatings, planting of false evidence, stealing and dealing narcotics, bank robbery, perjury, and the covering up of evidence of these activities.[1]
..
The Rampart Corruption Task Force investigators discovered that hip hop mogul Suge Knight, owner of Death Row Records, had hired several of the corrupt Rampart officers for security at various times including Nino Durden, Kevin Gaines, David Mack, and Rafael P?rez. Knight was hiring off-duty Rampart policemen to work for Death Row as security guards for substantial amounts of money. After Gaines was killed, investigators discovered Gaines drove a Mercedes-Benz and wore designer suits, and they found a receipt in his apartment for a $952 restaurant tab at the Los Angeles hangout, Monty's Steakhouse.[6]
and then the rampart scandal lead to something else, i can't member what right now
and Pac steps into all that signing w death row (Pac had his own reasons for signing tho explained in an interview basically says he was using death row to get to the next step: more independance)
in 1992 by Dr. Dre, Suge Knight, The D.O.C. and Dick Griffey.[1] The label became a sensation by releasing multi-platinum hip-hop albums by West Coast-based artists such as Dr. Dre (The Chronic), Snoop Dogg (Doggystyle), Tha Dogg Pound (Dogg Food), and Tupac Shakur (All Eyez on Me) during the 1990s. At its peak, Death Row was making over US$100 million a year.[7]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_Row_Records
"By the late 1990s, the label began to decline after the death of its star artist, Tupac Shakur, imprisonment of Suge Knight, and the departures of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. Although Death Row was enjoying financial success, it was embroiled in controversies, lawsuits, and violence by its artists and associates. Death Row Records filed for bankruptcy in 2006 and was auctioned to WIDEawake Entertainment for $18 million on January 15, 2009.[8][9] The owner of WIDEawake bankrupted in 2012 and the label was then sold to Entertainment One, then became a division of Hasbro until April 2021 when eOne Music was sold to The Blackstone Group.[10]"
so either Pac was surprised by this or he knew what he was getting into
sometimes i wonder if Pac survived how powerful death row would have become w suge at the helm
idk strange stories of a dif game i suppose
i grew up on Pac so it's hard to throw it away
if if if Pac was fake, how could i have known back then
and if he wasn't fake then look what evil does to talent; corrupting and dangerous
idk; oh well Faith helps thru the confusion
