UAW Strike Was Caused By Biden Prioritizing Climate Activists Over Auto Workers
March 14, 2024
In September 2023, Biden claimed that he wouldn't be "worried about a strike" from United Auto Workers "until it happens."
Once it happened the UAW's leadership claimed it has been sounding a "string of alarms" about the Biden admin's push toward electric vehicles, and had criticized the closure of older gasoline-vehicle factories.
According to the UAW, Biden's Green energy policies, that have been welcomed by climate activists, "failed to protect workers in the car industry."
In 2022, Stellantis ended production at a 58-year-old Jeep factory and laid off roughly 1,200 workers after it could not be converted to an electric vehicle facility.
EV production has made Midwestern communities that manufacture gas-powered engines and transmissions particularly vulnerable to layoffs.
Workers at new battery manufacturing facilities, one owned by Ultium Cells, were being paid "roughly half" the starting salary of what GM workers used to get paid at one former gasoline-car plant in Lordstown, Ohio.
According to a regional director for the UAW, David Green, some electric vehicle workers were "working two jobs to get by."
At the time, UAW President Shawn Fain said Biden needs to, "address concerns about the auto industry's transition to all-electric vehicles, including concerns about job security, pay and organizing."
According to Fain, the Biden administration had "actively" funded a "race to the bottom" in wages and benefits "with billions in public money."
The UAW strike had a massive impact on the overall U.S. economy, with economic losses totaling over $10.4 billion.
Through Oct. 26, the end of the sixth full week of the strike, the Anderson Economic Groups estimate that OEM Workers lost $650 million in wages, Detroit 3 Manufacturers lost $4.3 billion in revenue, supplier companies and workers lost $3.3 billion in wages and revenue, and dealers, customers, and ancillary auto industry workers lost $2 billion.
Despite U.S. investments from the Inflation Reduction Act, China is massively undercutting domestic EV sales and holds an estimated $10,000 cost advantage per vehicle.
According to The Washington Post, a "fifth of China's EV models were priced below $15,000 last year" whereas the cheapest EV in the U.S. today is GM's Chevy Bolt, at about $27,000.
According to Axios, many of the minerals essential to EV battery production are primarily mined and processed in China.
China has positioned itself to "control a third of the world's lithium supply by 2025."
According to Suzanne Clark, President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the UAW strike and the "summer of strikes" was the "natural result of the Biden administration's 'whole of government' approach to promoting unionization at all costs."
According to PEW Research, half of U.S. adults say they are not too or not at all likely to consider purchasing an EV.
59 percent of Americans oppose the idea of phasing out the production of new gas-powered vehicles by 2035.
Only 9 percent of U.S. adults currently own an electric vehicle.

Q Research General #21815: BEWARE of MAJOR FALSE FLAG attempts this week Edition
Supreme Court Justice Alito Accused of Leaking Opinion, Strongly Denies It
Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito denied being involved in an alleged leak eight years ago of a religious-freedom decision that held family-owned businesses did not have to provide birth control benefits to employees, after a New York Times article on Nov. 19 first reported the leak and alleged Alito may have been involved in it.
The media report comes as the Supreme Court continues to investigate the unprecedented leak earlier this year of the draft majority opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, in which the court overturned Roe v. Wade (1973) and held that there is no constitutional right to abortion, returning the regulation of abortion to the states. The 5-4 opinion in Dobbs, written by Alito, was formally released by the court in June. Alito described the leak as a "grave betrayal."
Alito also wrote the majority opinion (pdf) in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby (2014), in which the court held 5-4 that under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993 a "closely held" business does not have to offer birth control coverage to employees if the company is opposed to contraception on religious grounds.
Hobby Lobby operates a successful chain of arts and crafts stores. Company officials took a public stance against the Affordable Care Act of 2010, citing the Obama-era law's mandated contraception and morning-after pill coverage for employees. It was reported last month that founder David Green, an evangelical Christian who has a net worth of $14 billion, has given away the company's voting stock because he "chose God."
The Hobby Lobby ruling earned Alito the ire of the left, just as in June of this year when the conservative jurist authored the majority opinion in Dobbs.
The Dobbs decision, a draft of which was leaked to the media earlier this year, prompted death threats and protests at conservative justices' homes, a foiled attempt to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and targeted harassment of justices in public by left-wing groups.
The New York Times article states that the Rev. Rob L. Schenck, formerly a pro-life leader who used to run the non-profit group, Faith and Action in the Nation's Capital, sent a letter (pdf) to Chief Justice John Roberts in the summer claiming he learned of the outcome of the Hobby Lobby case three weeks before it was officially handed down.
In the letter, Schenck said he obtained the inside information when a donor to his nonprofit told him she had dined at the home of Alito and his wife before Hobby Lobby was decided and learned during the dinner that the court would rule in favor of the company. Schenck wrote that he used the information to prepare for the upcoming decision and advised Hobby Lobby's CEO Steve Green, the son of David Green, of the ruling days before the opinion was formally published.
"Considering there may be a severe penalty to be paid by whoever is responsible for the initial leak of the recent draft opinion [in Dobbs], [I] thought this previous incident might bear some consideration by you and others involved in the process. Of course, I would be happy to fully cooperate should you find any value in other details surrounding what I have transmitted here."

John Henry Patterson: Godfather of the Israeli Occupation Forces
In West Belfast, in the north of Ireland, there is a large and detailed mural extolling the career of Lt Col John Henry Patterson. Patterson was a British army officer who was described by Benjamin Netanyahu as the "Godfather" of the Israeli Occupation Forces. But who was Patterson? And what does his history tell us about the affinities between settler colonialism in Ireland and in Palestine?
John Henry Patterson - fighting for the empire
Born in 1867, Lt Col John Henry Patterson, of British settler stock in Ireland, enlisted in the British military at seventeen years of age. At the age of 31 was posted to Uganda where he is said - in the text on the mural - to have calmed the "superstitious natives" by killing two man-eating lions. In recent years Patterson's account of the activities of the lions has been challenged.
He re-enlisted in the Army and fought in the second Boer war (1899-1902). The British, who were in pursuit of newly discovered gold deposits, fought Dutch or "Boer" settlers for territory, using scorched earth policies and setting up concentration camps for Dutch settler women and children.
With the UVF
In 1913 Patterson joined the Ulster Volunteer Force an illegal militia set up by Protestant settlers in the north of Ireland to resist decolonisation by force of arms. Viciously anti-Irish, they formed from a milieu which subjected Belfast to "a reign of terror". As the London Star reported in July 1912: "The reign of terror continues in Belfast, and matters have arrival at such a stage that either a Catholic or a man possessed of progressive ideas is not safe walking in the streets. Night after night the streets are paraded by Orange mobs looking for victims, and it matters little whether they are male or female, the same brutality is meted out.".
The Zion Mule Corps and the Jewish Legion
In the 1914-18 war Patterson, a convinced Christian Zionist, founded and commanded the "Zion Mule Corps" an all-Jewish unit, which was involved in the fighting at Gallipoli. Patterson wrote a book about this experience called With the Zionists at Gallipoli. The unit was then disbanded, but later in 1917, in collaboration with the extremist "revisionist" Zionist, Vladimir Jabotinsky, a so-called "Jewish Legion" was formed. It fought the Muslim army of the Ottomans in Occupied Al-Quds, writing a memoir of the experience under the title With the Judaeans in the Palestine campaign. This paved the way for the British Mandate and the horrors of the later Zionist military occupation in 1948.
One of the soldiers under Patterson command was David Green, who later became the first Prime Minister of the Zionist entity under the name David Ben Gurion. As with many Zionists, his name was changed as part of the fraudulent attempt to claim some kind of historical link of Eastern European Jews to Palestine.
Buried in occupied Palestine, 2014
Patterson died in the US 1947, but in 2014 his remains were transported across the Atlantic and reinterred in a grave in Netanya (a town built in part on the Palestinian village of Umm Khalid which was ethnically cleansed in 1948) beside the remains of other members of the Jewish legion. Minister of Defense Moshe Ya'alon, Science and Technology Minister Jacob Perry, and dozens of other senior regime figures attended, along with the Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, who gave an oration. Patterson was described by Netanyahu as the "Godfather of the Israeli Army". Patterson personally knew Netanyahu's father Ben-Zion, who was Jabotinsky's aide in the US, having also been part of the so-called "Bergson group" - another name for the US branch of the Irgun terror gang. When Ben-Zion's first child was born Patterson was appointed godfather and the child was named Jonathan after him. Jonathan subsequently joined the occupation forces and was killed at Entebbe, helping to launch the political career of Benjamin, his younger brother.
The mural for Patterson in Belfast
The mural of John Henry Patterson which celebrates settler colonialism and ethnic cleansing on three continents is situated on the Loyalist side of the so-called "peace-line" in West Belfast. It is a structure not too dissimilar to the Zionist "separation wall", though the barriers were originally erected to protect Catholics in the Lower Falls from Loyalist gangs from 1969 onwards. That period saw the "biggest forced population movement in Europe since the Second World War", as "60,000 Belfast residents were intimidated out of their homes", mostly Catholics, by loyalist gangs.

washington state is now pushing the J&J clot shot
Supply of J&J shots at some pharmacies spread thin as Washington's vaccine mandate approaches
SEATTLE - The clock is ticking for certain employees to get vaccinated in time to comply with Gov. Jay Inslee's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Someone is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their last dose.
The only COVID-19 vaccine left that would allow people to be fully vaccinated before Inslee's Oct. 18 deadline is Johnson & Johnson's single dose shot.
As that deadline approaches, some health care, education and state employees hesitant to get the vaccine are facing a dilemma.
"October 4 is the last date to get Johnson and Johnson and qualifies fully vaccinated," said
Cassie Sauer, president & CEO of the Washington State Hospital Association at their weekly briefing.
Sauer added, the association will not have an understanding of how many hospital employees in the state are not vaccinated until Oct. 4, 2021, the last day to get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and meet the deadline.
According to the Washington State Department of Health, there is an adequate supply of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine is the only vaccine available now that will guarantee a person is fully vaccinated by Gov. Jay Inslee's Oct. 18 deadline. As of Sept. 20, the state had 84,082 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Ordering for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine reopened on Sept. 10 and 59,700 doses have been requested from providers.
Availability at the state level was just mended after a month of frustration for vaccine providers.
Mostly all of August and early into September, there was none available within the state. And current supplies were expiring, they were reaching their expiration date. So fortunately, there was vaccine made available," said Steve Fijalka, chief pharmacy officer for UW Medicine.
According to Fijalka, all of UW Medicine's pharmacies have the supply needed for now but he is anticipating the demand to increase.
We expect as this date gets closer, more individuals will probably, you know, have to make a decision and J&J probably will be their choice," he said.
But for companies that rely on the federal government for vaccine doses, it's a different story.
"Our teams are getting bombarded with calls and it's been an issue because we can't get it," said David Green, director of Pharmacy for Safeway & Albertsons - Seattle.

The Anti-American Movements Are Communist, not Black by John Cleer
part 4 of 6
This is laughable, and it's worth mentioning as a contrast that these riots have almost no public support: they are held up by public intimidation, 100 Million Dollar conglomerate donations and 24/7 wall-to-wall support from Big Tech. A revolution by a team like this would be the perfect inverse of our war with the British, but have a great deal in common with the Russian October Revolution. However best to describe it, President Trump and the National Geographic are talking about the same thing, "a left-wing cultural revolution to overthrow the American Revolution." [xi]
A hundred years ago, this "left-wing cultural revolution" would have been more-accurately termed a Communist Revolutionhence the red Hammer and Sickle painted on Columbus in Miami. Internationally-funded communist revolutions took place across Europe after the First World War, and Western countries were rightly afraid of this and still should be. The violent takeovers, mass murders and mass incarcerations of political dissidents which routinely take place in communist countries are not something any group of people would want for themselvesinvariably these revolutions are launched by outside groups as hostile takeovers, and the horrible conditions described above are tools to impose upon the target: the "other." [xi]
Who runs Black Lives Matter? In a promotional interview with taxpayer- and slush fund-operated NPR, co-founder Patrisse Cullors said of herself and her fellow organizers, "We actually do have an ideological frame. Myself and [fellow co-founder] Alicia [Garza] in particular are trained organizers. We are trained Marxists ... what we really tried to do is build a movement." The third co-founder, born abroad in Nigeria, likewise identifies as a community organizer and all three are college-educated. [xii]
Cullors by her own admission was trained by a prominent member of the Marxist terror group Weather Underground, Eric Mann. Eric Mann is not black; he is a Brooklyn Jew and Marxist activist from a family of Marxist activists, who are relatively new arrivals on American soil (20th Century). Garza was born and grew up as Alicia Schwartz, and like Mann she identifies as Jewish. Cullors studied "community organizing" under him for more than 10 years at the explicitly pro-communist Labor/Community Strategy Center, where she told the ACLU she developed the skills that helped her found BLM. Cullors and Garza both identify as "queer," which has also been a consistent focus of Mann's activism and is a common topic in Marxist politics, and all three co-founders are feminist. [xiii]
What do LGBT rights and feminism have to do with Black Lives, police brutality or black-white dynamics? These are purely Marxist agenda points and yet they figure prominently on blacklivesmatter.com's "About" sections. In a The Nation interview with the Nigerian co-founder, she says that "queer women helped to start this" and the "black queer community has been riding so hard for us." Diversity Scholar David Green of the University of Michigan claims "BLM is inherently a movement sustained by a politics of blackness that is unapologetically feminist, womanist, and queer." At ABC News, Tony Salzman writes in a celebratory tone that "From the start, Black Lives Matter has been about LGBTQ lives." [xiv]
On his faculty page, Diversity Scholar Green introduces himself as "a black queer feminist southerner devoted to social and political justice for all" who reads black LGBT and feminist literature, rollerblades in his free time and likes "munching" on ice cream "and warm chocolate chip cookies." The government is paying him with your money to write a book about "the cultural history of black queer writers on America," and they paid him to write that personal ad. Do blacks with more conventional lifestyles feel that "scholars" like Green represent their communities well and accurately? Are they, dare I say, proud of him? Have they even heard of him? [xv]

The Owners of Hobby Lobby Are Returning Biblical Antiquities That Were Allegedly Stolen by an Oxford Professor
This is the second time that the family and its Museum of the Bible have bought illicit antiquities.
The Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC, is on the hot seat once again for acquiring illicit antiquities that must now be returned.
The latest scandal involves at least 13 biblical fragments that Oxford papyrologist Dirk Obbink is accused of stealing and improperly selling to the museum's owners, David Green and his family, who also own the chain store Hobby Lobby, according to the Daily Beast.
The Egypt Exploration Society, a London-based nonprofit, posted a statement on its website yesterday saying that photographs provided by the museum led the society to identify 13 texts on papyrus or parchment from its collection that "were taken without authorization." It added that "in most of the 13 cases the catalogue card and photograph are also missing."
Obbink did not immediately respond to a request for comment. He is still listed as a professor on Oxford University's website. The museum's board has accepted the Egypt Exploration Society's claim to ownership and is arranging to return the 13 pieces. The Museum of the Bible helped the society "recover antiquities that had been sold illegally during the years 2010-2013," it said in a statement. "The items referenced were acquired by Hobby Lobby stores in good faith between 2010 and 2013, but sold by a known expert from Oxford University."
In June, the Daily Beast reported that Obbink may have also sold an ancient fragment relating to the Gospel of Mark that did not belong to him.
David Green, an evangelical Christian, and his family founded Hobby Lobby in 1972. The nationwide chain operates some 800 stores and is valued at $4.6 billion, according to Forbes. Hobby Lobby rose to notoriety in 2014 when it won a Supreme Court lawsuit allowing the company to deny its employees health insurance coverage for contraceptives on religious grounds. Hobby Lobby professes a mission of "honoring the Lord in all we do by operating the company in a manner consistent with Biblical principles." In 2010, the company spent $1.6 million to buy thousands of ancient artifacts in an effort to amass a trove of Biblical antiquities and, seven years later, opened the Museum of the Bible.
That year, the US Department of Justice filed a civic action claiming that the family had participated in a years-long, willful pattern of smuggling Iraqi artifacts into the US despite numerous warnings, interceptions, and large-scale purchases that were "fraught with red flags."
As part of the related settlement, Hobby Lobby was forced to surrender thousands of artifacts and pay a $3 million fine.
The Egypt Exploration Society did not re-appoint Obbink as an editor of the Oxyrhynchus Papyri, "primarily because of unsatisfactory discharge of his editorial duties, but also because of concerns, which he did not allay, about his alleged involvement in the marketing of ancient texts." In June, the society banned him from its collection. It says it is now investigating with Oxford University the removal of the texts from the university's premises.

Trump Slams General Motors CEO in Person Over Plant Closures - Report
The US President blasted the automaker's top executive for its decision to close a number of plants in the US and Canada and its reluctance to sell the factories to a different owner, forcing thousands of people out of their jobs.
US President Trump said that he spoke with General Motors CEO Mary Barra in person over the company's decision to close a manufacturing plant in Lordstown, Ohio.
"Just spoke to Mary Barra, CEO of General Motors about the Lordstown Ohio plant," Trump tweeted Sunday. "I am not happy that it is closed when everything else in our Country is BOOMING. I asked her to sell it or do something quickly. She blamed the [United Auto Workers] Union - I don't care, I just want it open!"
This is the third time Trump took to Twitter over the weekend to express his frustration over the General Motors' decision to shut several factories in the US and Canada that employ some 15,000 workers.
"G.M. let our Country down, but other much better car companies are coming into the U.S. in droves," Trump tweeted earlier Sunday. "I want action on Lordstown fast. Stop complaining and get the job done!"
He also called on UAW Ohio division president David Green "to get his act together and produce" in the same tweet.
Earlier Saturday, Trump also suggested that the factory would do better under a different owner, but that the decision must be made swiftly.
"Because the economy is so good, General Motors must get their Lordstown, Ohio, plant open, maybe in a different form or with a new owner, FAST!" Trump tweeted. "Toyota is investing 13.5 $Billion in U.S., others likewise. G.M. MUST ACT QUICKLY. Time is of the essence!"
In an interview earlier last week, Trump said the company "is not going to be treated well" over its "nasty" decision to shutter its factories. He also criticized the company for focusing on electric cars only, calling it a "big mistake" and threatened to remove the automaker's tax credit for electric vehicles. General Motors have two models - Chevrolet Bolt and Chevrolet Volt - that qualify for a tax credit.
"They've changed the whole model of General Motors," Trump said. "They're going to all electric. All electric's not going to work. I don't run a car company, but all electric is not going to work."
Earlier in November, General Motors announced plans to cut 15,000 jobs and close manufacturing plants in Lordstown as well as Michigan and Canada's Ontario. The company also announced it would close auto parts factories in Michigan and Maryland.
Trump made it a pillar of his economic policy to bring US companies working offshore back to US soil and create large number of jobs for US citizens.

Bonus post for anyone still with me. In some stupid 'what the clowns want you to read' segment, Fag David Green forces a completely ridiculous pedo Tom Hanks reference when his guest talks about a book about trees. The book the guest is talking about is about trees and sounds totally boring but somehow the guest's tree book triggers Dave to think of Pedo Tom Hanks' typewriter book. Makes complete sense right? nah.

>Furthermore, those who believe that Rich's legacy lies in the past misunderstand the nature of that legacy. One of the most remarkable things about Marc Rich was his ability to make money talk louder than politics - hence why, after 1994 he was able to continue doing business with South Africa, despite his links to the apartheid regime.
>The Spectator argues: "his former prot?g?s and apprentices now control, through his empire's successor companies Glencore Xstrata and Trafigura, the price of just about everything." They control a truly startling share of the world's natural resources.

Trafigura publishes 2021 annual results showing a record performance with the company well positioned for future growth
Singapore, 8 December 2021 - Trafigura Group Pte. Ltd. ("Trafigura" or "the Group"), one of the world's leading independent commodity trading companies, today released its results for financial year ending 30 September 2021.
Profit, turnover and volumes handled were the highest in the Group's history, consolidating the strong performance in FY2020 and demonstrating a structural rebasing of the quality and consistency of the company's financial performance and service to suppliers and customers.
Revenues increased by 57 percent to USD231,308 million, reflecting higher commodity prices and increased trading volumes as the Group continued to grow its customer base and expand into new markets.

"Glencore riding energy crunch to record profits" - 20 June 2022
https://www.australianresourcesandinvestment.com.au/2022/06/20/glencore-riding-energy-crunch-to-record-profits/
20 June 2022
Glencore is earning more money in a six-month period than it would in a typical calendar year amid booming thermal coal prices.
The major miner said its commodities trading unit was on track to post a $US3.2 billion ($4.6 billion) EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) for the six months to June 30, nearing the record profit the division enjoyed in the 2021 calendar year ($US3.7 billion).
To put that into perspective, Glencore's long-term guidance for annual EBIT is between $US2.2-3.2 billion.
It comes as the company forecasts its thermal coal benchmarks to rise from $US32 per tonne (as announced in February 2022) to between $US82-86 per tonne (t) for the half year. This has coincided with the Newcastle thermal coal price ballooning from $US175/t to $US318/t across the same timeframe.
While earnings have jumped, so have costs and Glencore said it was poised to increase its FOB (free on board) thermal unit cost from an earlier 2022 guidance of $US59.3/t to between $US75-78 for the six-month period. The company has felt the pinch of rising prices for fuel, electricity and logistics.
With Russia-Ukraine war continuing to destabilise commodities, Glencore said its trading unit had responded to the cause.
"Our marketing business has successfully navigated the extraordinary global challenges faced during the period, being a source of continuous and reliable commodity supply to our vast customer base," the company said in a statement.
"Against this challenging and elevated risk backdrop, our marketing segment's financial performance has continued to be supported by periods of heightened to extreme levels of market volatility, supply disruption and tight physical market conditions, particularly relating to global energy markets."
Several commodities have reached record high prices in the midst of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, with coal producers a particular beneficiary given Europe's denial of Russian energy sources.
Glencore operates 17 coal mines across New South Wales and Queensland.

Knowledge and power
To make money betting on food, metals and energy, Glencore - like other trading houses and hedge funds - relies on one crucial commodity: Information.
"They have offices all over the world and unique access to information about production and distribution," said food security researcher Kuyek. "When the people who have that information are also the ones speculating, there is grave cause for concern; they can purchase forward contracts when they know prices are going up."
In August 2010, for example, Russia issued a ban on grain exports, after droughts ravaged crops. On August 3, the head of Glencore's Russian grain unit encouraged the government to halt exports. The government followed his advice on August 5, causing prices for cereals to rise 15 per cent in two days.
"Days before the export ban went into place, Glencore made huge bets," said Kuyek. "They had some kind of information there; companies with information are in the best place to capture profits from volatility." Glencore, for its part, said it also lost money as a result of the ban, because it had to fulfill delivery obligations to clients outside Russia at the new, higher price.
In addition to manipulating food prices - potentially with insider information - the trading giant appears to have broken laws on several continents.
Prosecutors in Belgium charged Glencore employees with criminal conspiracy and corruption, alleging they illicitly sought confidential information on European export subsidies from a public official. The case will be heard in Brussels on May 12.
Shady deals
During Saddam Hussein's rule in Iraq, and the UN sanctions which accompanied its final years, Glencore made handsome profits marketing embargoed oil. In February 2001, Glencore bought 1million barrels of Iraqi crude oil destined for the US and diverted the black gold to Croatia, where it was sold for a premium of $3million, according to a UN Security Council report.
When the news broke, the Sunday Times newspaper in the UK headlined their investigation "Secretive Swiss trader links City to Iraq oil scam".
Perhaps, Glencore is going public to increase its size, allowing it to acquire large competitors, particularly the mining giant Xstrata.
Regardless of the firm's reasons, institutional investors from the US, East Asia and the Middle East have all committed to buying.
Aabar, the sovereign wealth fund from the United Arab Emirates, controlled by Abu Dhabi's oil-rich monarchs, is expected to become the largest "cornerstone investor", pledging to buy about $1billion worth of stock.
"Stability is to be prized," said Oxfam's David Green. And that is the last thing Glencore wants, as it's instability which is most profitable - for those who have the inside knowledge to exploit it.
