Two people were killed as a result of the violence.

The Yuma Police Department Police said that a 19-year-old male was transported prior to police arrival and was pronounced dead at Yuma Regional Medical Center a short time late.

A second victim, a 20-year-old male, was transported by Yuma Fire Department to Yuma Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.

A third victim, a 16-year-old male, was moved to Yuma Regional Medical Center and later flown to Phoenix with life-threatening injuries.

Police said the other gunshot victims, males ages 15, 19, 18, and 16, had non-life threatening injuries. A total of seven were treated at Yuma Regional Medical Center.

Nikola Founder Trevor Milton Accused Of Sexual Assault By Two Women

Nikola (NKLA) founder Trevor Milton has found himself under more scrutiny as he has been accused of sexual assault by two women, who were 15-years-old at the time of the alleged acts, CNBC reported.

Milton, who resigned from hydrogen-electric truck maker Nikola in mid-September after a damaging report by Hindenburg Research claimed he defrauded investors, has denied the claims. Milton stepped down from his position as chairman shortly after the report was released, and an investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of Justice was initiated.

One of the women, Aubrey Ferrin Smith, a cousin to Milton, claimed on Twitter and Facebook that he groped her bare breast after a family funeral in Salt Lake City in 1999. She was 15 at the time, and he was 17-years-old. Ferrin Smith has now filed a formal complaint with the police in Holladay, Utah, where the alleged incident took place, CNBC reported.

The second alleged incident took place when Milton was 22. At the time, he had hired a 15-year-old girl as an office assistant at a security company he operated in St. George, Utah, Craig Johnson, the attorney representing the women, told the news outlet.

"The allegation by my client is that he digitally penetrated her vagina with his fingers, which under Utah law constitutes object rape, and that is the charge the police will be investigating, in addition to forcible sexual abuse, which includes any ancillary touching of the vagina during the assault," Johnson said in an interview with CNBC.

Brandon Messina, a spokesman for Milton, told CNBC that Milton denies the claims against him. He said: "Mr. Milton strongly denies these false allegations. At no point in his life has Mr. Milton ever engaged in any inappropriate physical contact with anyone."

Macy's posts nearly $4 billion in losses, doesn't expect another shutdown

Macy's Inc reported a staggering $3.58 billion loss on Wednesday for its coronavirus-hit first quarter as store shutdowns resulted in the department store chain recording a $3 billion impairment charge. The global health crisis has forced brick-and-mortar retailers to tap credit lines, lay off employees and suspend dividends and buybacks in a bid to stay afloat.

"While our stores are reopened, we expect that the COVID-19 pandemic will continue to impact the country for the remainder of the year," Chief Executive Officer Jeff Gennette said in a statement, adding that the retailer did not expect another total shutdown of stores. Macy's, which also owns Bloomingdale's, said net sales for the first quarter through May 2 nearly halved to $3.02 billion.

The retailer's results come as some of its peers, including J Crew, J.C. Penney and Neiman Marcus Group, have filed for bankruptcy after failing to cope with market uncertainties and mounting debt. Macy's, which on June 25 said it would lay off about 3,900 employees in corporate and management positions in a bid to save cash, did not provide an updated outlook.

Macy's has faced a huge slump in traffic at its stores, especially those in malls and urban areas harder hit by lockdowns aimed at curbing the spread of the virus, Gennette said on Wednesday. He doesn't expect the "virtual disappearance of international tourism spending" to "recover any time soon."

In turn, Macy's has invested heavily in improving its digital business and personalized marketing, clearing out unsold inventory and offering services like curbside pickup. "Whether in staffing, fleet size, online initiatives, or real estate monetization, it (Macy's) is at last implementing the radical surgery that should have begun years ago," said Craig Johnson, president at retail consultancy Customer Growth Partners.

"Today's results should not be seen as any kind of surprise, but as a necessary reflection of reality - in short, a deep reset of the entire enterprise." Shares were down about 3% in premarket trading. On a per-share basis, it reported a net loss of $11.53 in the first quarter ended May 2 compared with a profit of 44 cents a year earlier.

Excluding one-time items, the company lost $2.03 per share, meeting expectations, according to IBES data from Refinitiv. The company expects second-quarter comparable sales to improve roughly 6-7 percentage points, compared to the 35% decline in the first quarter, it said.

As of May 2, Macy's had $1.52 billion in cash and cash equivalents, and $18.58 billion in total liabilities and shareholders' equity.

How Victoria's Secret's core customers have completely changed

Millions of women shop at Victoria's Secret every year. The retailer is credited with making lingerie an everyday necessity instead of something for sexy special occasions.

But it's worth noting that the brand was not originally designed for women. In fact, it was quite the opposite.

Victoria's Secret officially launched in 1977.

According to retail lore and as detailed in Slate, the brand began when Roy Raymond wanted to buy his wife sexy lingerie as a gift, but didn't want to appear suspicious buying women's underwear.

Naomi Barr of Slate noted he had the ingenious idea to found a company that would facilitate shopping for underwear. He wanted it to be an exciting, sexy process that would make men feel comfortable, not perverted.


Barr wrote:

'"Raymond imagined a Victorian boudoir, replete with dark wood, oriental rugs, and silk drapery. He chose the name "Victoria" to evoke the propriety and respectability associated with the Victorian era; outwardly refined, Victoria's "secrets" were hidden beneath. In 1977, with $80,000 of savings and loans from family, Raymond and his wife leased a space in a small shopping mall in Palo Alto, Calif., and Victoria's Secret was born."

Curiously enough, Victoria's Secret's beginnings highlight an issue: the company was selling something geared towards men rather than women. A peek at a 1979 catalog shows women sprawled out in provocative positions.

"It was a small store, and it was Victorian-not English Victorian, but brothel Victorian with red velvet sofas," Leslie Wexner, founder, chairman of CEO of Limited Brands (now L Brands), told Newsweek in 2010. "There wasn't erotic lingerie, but there was very sexy lingerie, and I hadn't seen anything like it in the U.S."


However, Newsweek notes the brand was on the brink of bankruptcy.

It was at this time Wexner and his company acquired the brand and set the wheels in motion for what it would ultimately become. Gearing the brand towards women could save the brand.

After all, giving women an opportunity to purchase sexy underwear at a mass retailer was groundbreaking. The birth control pill hit the market in the '60s - the sexual revolution for women had just broken ground.

"Most of the women that I knew wore underwear most of the time, and most of the women that I knew I thought would rather wear lingerie most of the time, but there were no lingerie stores," Wexner explained to Newsweek. "I thought if we could develop price points and products that have a broader base of customer, it could be something big."


He was right.

"The great thing that Wexner did was recognize the huge white space in the market that was unspoken for, and he brought in innovation," Craig Johnson,, president of Customer Growth Partners, a retail consultancy in New Canaan, Connecticut, told Newsweek. "He made sexy mainstream. That was his genius."

Marshal Cohen, an analyst at NPD group, told Newsweek that Wexner was responsible for showing underwear outside of one's pants. "He made it a trend; all of a sudden women wanted people to see what they were wearing [underneath], and inner wear became outerwear."

Founder Raymond died in 1993 after reportedly jumping off of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Wexner shifted focus to female shoppers, and it worked - for awhile.

"At one stage, Victoria's Secret had a very fresh, new perspective," Jeetendr Sehdev, Professor of Marketing at University of Southern California told Business Insider. "Women were very much aware that this is a media ideal of beauty, and they bought into it to a set degree."

Perhaps now, Victoria's Secret simply needs to widen their female demographic as women's self images continue to evolve away from the lingerie model ideal and embrace natural bodies.

Sales at Aerie, American Eagle's lingerie brand, have been skyrocketing since the retailer stopped using airbrushing in ads.

"Body image issues are beginning to be addressed - not just because of the media's influence but a large part of the way parents, mothers deal with their own bodies," Dr. Vivian Diller, psychologist, former model, and media consultant told Business Insider.

Children Reportedly Found in Dog Kennel on Wise County Property

North Texas deputies discovered four young children in a "state of neglect," apparently malnourished and covered in feces and urine, living in an outbuilding in rural Wise County Tuesday. Two of the children, deputies say, were being held inside a small locked dog kennel. Their mother and the father to one of the four children, now face child endangerment charges.

Wise County Sheriff's deputies were called to a domestic incident at a residence described by sheriff's deputies as a barn house, or a metal, shop-type outbuilding near County Road 4930 at about 7:15 a.m.
Deputies arrived to find a man, identified by police as 24-year-old Andrew Joseph Fabila, with a number of scratches on his face. While talking with Fabilia and his partner, 24-year-old Paige Harkings, deputies reported hearing the voices of children coming from a makeshift living space inside the outbuilding.

Craig Johnson, Chief Deputy of the Wise County Sheriff's Office, said deputies then found four children, ages 5, 4, 3 and 1, inside what deputies described as "filthy" and "cluttered" living conditions.
