Ocasio-Cortez was recently in the news for breaking finance campaign laws, and it is most certain she knows nothing about the details of how the campaign is organized. Not only does Ocasio-Cortez not form her own policies, she isn't running her own office, that would be Chakrabarti. According to an article in Breitbart, "There were no 'walls of separation' in the 3,500 square feet of office space in Knoxville, Tennessee that in 2017 and 2018 housed two political action committees (PACs), two private consulting firms, and at least 12 congressional campaigns committees, all controlled or run by Saikat Chakrabarti, who now serves as freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's (D-NY) chief of staff."
As if this isn't enough to concern us, Hawkins also asserts in his article that there was a power deal made with Nancy Pelosi, where she agreed to 40 percent progressive representation on the five top House committees. All of which begins to make sense when conservatives question how Ocasio-Cortez was given sweet appointments to the powerful Financial Services and House Banking committees. Now we know.
It was at Sander's campaign that Chakrabarti met Alexandra Rojas and Corbin Trent, who appear to be crafting some of the lines that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez mouths and can be seen in the Justice Democrats video above. Ocasio-Cortez is reportedly not even present when policy positions are discussed. Chakrabarti and Rojas have both admitted to doing their own research to learn how to craft legislation, which admittedly was their Green New Deal that Ocasio-Cortez was tasked with rolling out.
It should concern every single American of either party that a Young Turk is behind this latest machination to plant communist puppets inside our government. The Young Turks, who have had up to a billion YouTube views since their inception and whose founder, Cenk Uygur, named the group after the communists that perpetrated the Armenian Genocide, slaughtering 1.5 million people, is the Oz behind the Justice Democrats' curtain. Corbin Trent, the campaign's spokesman and former leader at Justice Democrats, left her re-election campaign abruptly.
Reached by phone by Fox News, Trent did not want to comment about his departure. The New York Post was the first to report his exit.

A top adviser to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has abruptly left her campaign, The Post has learned.
The freshman lawmaker's campaign spokesman, Corbin Trent, revealed his surprise departure when a reporter contacted him for comment on Sunday.
His affiliation with AOC was also scrubbed from his twitter account.
Trent referred questions to AOC's campaign manager Rebecca Rodriguez, who declined comment.
He was part of AOC's brain trust when she shocked the political world by ousting ex-Rep. and then-Queens Democratic Party leader Joe Crowley in the 2018 Democratic Party, becoming the youngest woman elected to Congress.
AOC, a democratic socialist, has emerged as one of the most powerful voices on the political left in the US. She is heavily favored to win re-election later this year in the 14th congressional district covering parts of The Bronx and Queens.
Trent, 31, is a co-founder of Justice Democrats, the progressive political action committee that recruited and backed Ocasio-Cortez's successful insurgency that toppled Crowley and backs other leftist primary challengers against incumbents deemed too tied to the status quo and monied interests.
He also worked on Bernie Sanders' 2016 campaign for president.
Trent was AOC's congressional communications director before she reassigned him to work on her re-election campaign last summer when her chief of staff, Saikat Chakrabati, also a leader at Justice Democrats, departed to join a group, New Consensus, to work on climate change issues, the Intercept first reported.

Federal government agencies are investigating alleged campaign finance misconduct by Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's former chief of staff, who abruptly resigned on Friday, according to the New York Post. The probe focuses on two political action committees started by Saikat Chakrabarti, concerns about which were first reported by the Washington Examiner in March. Chakrabarti left his post as chief of staff for Ocasio-Cortez along with communications director Corbin Trent, who is departing for the freshman congresswoman's 2020 reelection campaign.
Chakrabarti stirred up plenty of controversy during his tenure as the creative mind behind Ocasio-Cortez's campaign and strategist for the Green New Deal. He has sent out numerous tweets that started a clash between Ocasio-Cortez and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and many staffers and aides on Capitol Hill were not thrilled about his divisive behavior. "People were not happy that he used his Twitter account to comment about members and the bills that he and his boss oppose," a senior House Democratic staffer told the New York Post. "There was a series of colliding and cascading grievances." Chakrabarti also indicated that Pelosi was a weak leader in a series of tweets, and said in a now-deleted post that moderate Democrats were "hell-bent to do to black and brown people today what the old Southern Democrats did in the 40s." The former chief of staff also criticized Pelosi for not moving forward in the direction of impeachment. "Pelosi claims we can't focus on impeachment because it's a distraction from kitchen table issues," he tweeted July 6. "What is this legislative mastermind doing?"
Chakrabarti, who graduated from Harvard and made millions in the tech industry, founded two PACs - Brand New Congress and Justice Democrats - to rally behind liberal candidates in elections. However, Federal Election Commission filings showed he siphoned more than $1 million in political contributions into two private firms that he also owned. Both PACs raised about $3.3 million in mostly small dollar donations in 2016 and 2017. FEC filings revealed that about one-third of the money was allocated to two private businesses with names nearly identical to the PACs, Brand New Congress LLC and Brand New Campaign LLC. Chakrabarti also took a slash in his salary at $80,000 a year while Ocasio-Cortez increased the salaries of junior staffers to about $52,000 annually. The average salary for Chakrabarti's position pays $146,830 a year. Congressional rules also exempted him from having to release his outside income because he made less than $126,000 as chief of staff.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's (D-NY) chief of staff and her communications director have announced plans to depart.
The Intercept reported on Friday that Saikat Chakrabarti, the congresswoman's chief of staff since January, and Corbin Trent, her communications director, would be leaving her congressional office in the next few weeks.
Chakrabarti, who masterminded Ocasio-Cortez's election to Congress, is heading to New Consensus, a nonprofit working to bolster the Green New Deal and other climate change initiatives.
The congresswoman's office said in a statement:
Saikat has decided to leave ... to work with New Consensus to further develop plans for a Green New Deal. We are extraordinarily grateful for his service to advance a bold agenda ... Saikat's goal has always been to do whatever he can to help the larger progressive movement, and we look forward to continuing working with him to do just that.
Trent, on the other hand, is transitioning to Ocasio-Cortez's reelection campaign, which has elicited a number of high-profile challengers.
"With the Ocasio 2020 campaign beginning to ramp up, I've asked Corbin to transition to the campaign full-time and he has agreed to do so," Ocasio-Cortez told The Intercept. "I'm looking forward to growing the movement with him in Queens and the Bronx and across the country."
The shakeup comes as the congresswoman's office has been engulfed in controversy since Chakrabarti attacked more moderate members of the House majority.
In June, Chakrabarti took to social media to air his frustration with moderate Democrats for forcing Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to abandon a $4.6 billion emergency border appropriation bill favored by progressives. In a series of tweets, Chakrabarti likened the moderates to old Southern Democrats, many of whom were avowed segregationists.
He stood by the comparison even when a progressive activist noted Rep. Sharice Davids (D-KS), the first openly LGBT Native American woman elected to Congress, was one of the moderates that wavered on the bill.
"I think the point still stands. I don't think people have to be personally racist to enable a racist system. And the same could even be said of the Southern Democrats," Chakrabarti said in a now deleted follow-up tweet. "I don't believe Sharice is a racist person, but her votes are showing her to enable a racist system."
Although Breitbart News reported on the controversial comments at the time, neither Ocasio-Cortez nor House leadership acknowledged that Chakrabarti may have crossed a line. The situation, though, changed sharply in July when Ocasio-Cortez accused Pelosi of "singling out newly elected women of color."
After the rebuke, Pelosi's allies within the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) moved simultaneously to defend the Speaker and attack the freshman congresswoman. A number of the CBC's members, including Rep. William Lacy Clay (D-MO), directed their anger at both Ocasio-Cortez and her chief of staff.
"It shows you how ignorant and little history [Chakrabarti] knows, how ignorant he is to American history. How dare he," Clay told The Hill.
The Missouri Democrat extended his criticism to Justice Democrats, the group started by Chakrabart to support left-leaning primary challenges to establishment Democrats.
"I find it juvenile, their tactics, I find their ignorance to be beyond belief about American history and about who are really segregationists," Clay said. "And so how dare they try to play the race card at this point, it shows you the weakness of their arguments."
Other moderates appeared to echo the sentiment, with some even anonymously calling for Chakrabarti's ouster.

Chakrabarti wants to prioritize working on advancing the Green New Deal, something he can focus on more at New Consensus than he can while managing Ocasio-Cortez's office and deflecting attacks from House leadership. He also has a new baby, and will have more time to devote to parenting.
Ocasio-Cortez asked Trent to move to the campaign, she told The Intercept. Trent is "shifting to our campaign side so we can work on some ambitious comms projects we've been looking forward to working on," Ocasio-Cortez said in a text message. Ocasio-Cortez is facing one Republican opponent, Scherie Murray, a businesswoman from New York who immigrated to the U.S. from Jamaica as a child.
Chakrabarti's last day is Friday, August 2, and Trent's transition timeline is still unclear, Ocasio-Cortez told The Intercept. Trent told The Intercept he expects to continue serving as spokesperson through the end of August. Trent, who has been directing communications for the Ocasio-Cortez campaign part time since 2018, will now do so full time. Ariel Eckblad, Ocasio-Cortez's legislative director, will take over as chief of staff.
THE NEWS COMES just as a drawn-out fight between House Democratic leadership and the progressive wing of the party - which at times put Ocasio-Cortez's staffers in its crosshairs - seemed to be smoothing over. Progressives in the House have tangled with leadership over a series of policy fights including emergency funding at the border and how to hash out the approach to Medicare for All and a Green New Deal. They've also clashed over the growing number of candidates challenging Democratic incumbents, as Ocasio-Cortez did last year - moves that have been met with backlash from the House's campaign arm.
The fight bled into a broader discourse over when and how it's most appropriate to air disputes between colleagues, with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi disparaging members of the progressive "Squad" in a July interview with the New York Times. Pelosi took a swipe at Ocasio-Cortez, along with Reps. Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley, who broke with Democrats and voted against a border funding bill in late June, calling them "four people" with a "public whatever and their Twitter world" who don't have "any following."
In a closed-door meeting a few days after the Times interview, Pelosi told colleagues, "do not tweet" about other members, a warning viewed as being directed at the Squad and Ocasio-Cortez's staff. Ocasio-Cortez told the Washington Post she thought Pelosi's comments were "outright disrespectful," and singled out the four women of color in a way that was unfair.

But The Post could find little indication she continues to live there.
The Post emailed Ocasio-Cortez's spokesman, Corbin Trent, four times with specific questions - which were all ignored. On Saturday, The Post reached Corbin by phone.
"We will not be commenting," he said. Among the queries he refused to answer: Where does the congresswoman live?
On Saturday night, a staffer promised a Post reporter that Ocasio-Cortez would talk to him after a speaking event in Corona.
During the event, two staffers were seen reading an early edition of this story on their phones.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez held a 5k in Queens Saturday that she billed as "a Family Fun Run supporting U.S. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's Green New Deal on the Saturday following Earth Day."
But many of the 400 runners didn't realize their $30 registration fees were going directly into the lawmaker's campaign coffers.
"We're getting together for our own health, for our planet's health ... and to fight for the Green New Deal together," the freshman Democrat told the participants before they set off.
Environmentally conscious supporters - who jogged through Astoria Park alongside a beaming, strolling AOC - believed their money was going to help save the planet.
"It's going to help raise awareness and educate people," a female runner told The Post.
"I think it's really for this particular New Green Deal," said Brian Schwartz of Long Island. "No question."
"It's to help the environment. To support the Green New Deal," another woman said. "It's a good cause."
A vaguely worded notices on AOC's Facebook page - saying that the run would support "U.S. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez & the Green New Deal" - worsened the confusion.
But the fine print on a third event-related website revealed the truth.
"Registration fees are contributions to AOC for Congress," reads the legal disclosure on aoc5k.com, which lists the Federal Election Commission rules that donors must follow.
"It was a campaign fundraiser," Ocasio-Cortez spokesman Corbin Trent said confirmed.
The participants paid more than $11,000 all told.
Even kids as young as 3 became unknowing political donors - ponying up $20 fees to join a kids' 1k.

Even co-founding a web design tool named Mockingbird and working on the product team of payment processor Stripe. In between, he walked the corridors of Wall Street for a while. But unlike many, he left all that behind to join the Bernie Sanders campaign. He later told the Rolling Stone magazine that even though he wasn't "entirely sure he [Sanders] had all the right solutions," he knew "he was talking about the right problems."
While working on the Sanders campaign, Chakrabarti met Alexandra Rojas and Corbin Trent. Together they co-founded Justice Democrats, a political action committee whose one-line introduction says, "Our time - it's time to usher in a new generation of diverse working class leaders into the Democratic Party. A Democratic Party that fights for its voters, not just corporate donors."
Justice Democrats and Brand New Congress, a similar committee also co-founded by Chakrabarti, worked together to recruit candidates by engaging with the masses. According to indiaabroad.com that quotes Beat DC, "party affiliation didn't matter; candidates had to want health care for all, a living wage, and to want money to rule all in politics." Out of the thousands of applications they received, Chakrabarti's team supported 12 candidates for the Democratic Primaries. The success story of this campaign was the one of Ocasio-Cortez - the only one who was elected to the US Congress. Chakrabarti became her campaign manager and eventually her chief of staff.
The thirty-two year old Chakrabarti is perhaps a die-hard socialist and his pet project seems to be the Green New Deal, an eleven-page google document written by Ocasio-Cortez's staff over one weekend with the goal to address both economic inequality and climate change. The New Yorker refers to it as the thing that, 'in the past month has come to define the progressive cause in Washington.'

Ocasio-Cortez's chief of staff might have broken campaign finance laws
The most powerful person in Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's office is a tech millionaire with homes in the West Village and Maryland, who is behind a set of inter-related companies raising ethical eyebrows with good-government groups.
Saikat Chakrabarti, 33, is the hard-left freshman's chief of staff - the brains behind initiatives like the Green New Deal and the founder of a trio of companies that catapulted Ocasio-Cortez into Congress.
But those companies raise red flags with government-watchdog groups who say Chakrabarti may have skirted campaign finance law.
Ocasio-Cortez's campaign paid Justice Democrats, a Tennessee-based PAC founded by Chakrabarti, a total of $41,108.59 for "campaign services" and "strategic consulting" in 2017 and 2018, Federal Election Commission filings show.
But PACs are not vendors and cannot provide more than $5,000 a year worth of services for any single candidate, according to FEC regulations. If candidates go above this amount, they need to seek advice directly from the FEC.
"They believe their cause is so great that they don't have to play by the rules," said Tom Anderson, who heads up the Government Integrity Project at the National Legal and Policy Center in Virginia, a conservative watchdog group. "They believe that they are above campaign finance law."
"It was payment for services," Ocasio-Cortez spokesman Corbin Trent told The Post, insisting that both the campaign and the PAC followed FEC rules and that they sought advice from an elections lawyer.
Brand New Congress, another PAC that Chakrabarti founded to support lefty candidates, paid Ocasio-Cortez's boyfriend $6,000 in 2017, filings show. The payment to Riley Roberts was made at the same time that Ocasio-Cortez's campaign paid Brand New Congress LLC $18,880 for "strategic consulting."
Chakrabarti justified the payment last month, saying it was for online fund-raising services, but a conservative watchdog group disagrees.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi began the meeting by chastising the two dozen moderates who voted on Tuesday in favor of a Republican amendment to a gun control bill that requires gun retailers to report illegal immigrants who attempt to buy a gun.
"We are either a team or we're not, and we have to make that decision," Pelosi said, two people who were present told the Washington Post.
Ocasio-Cortez, who routinely wields her massive social media following to pressure her establishment colleagues into supporting her agenda, sought to add force to Pelosi's call for unity by threatening to expose to the ire of progressive activists any Democrats willing to compromise with Republicans.
Corbin Trent, a spokesman for Ocasio-Cortez, told the Post that any Democrats who cooperate with Republicans "are putting themselves on a list."
"She said that when activists ask her why she had to vote for a gun safety bill that also further empowers an agency that forcibly injects kids with psychotropic drugs, they're going to want a list of names and she's going to give it to them," Trent said, referring to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The rift between the establishment and the younger, more progressive wing of the party was brought into sharp relief this week moments before the House passed legislation that would require a federal criminal background check for all gun purchases, including private transactions. While the bill's passage represented a significant victory for the Democratic majority, the inclusion of a provision that will facilitate deportations at the hands of ICE agents incensed progressives, many of whom have called for the agency to be abolished.

Twenty minutes later, she ducked out a back door, jumped into a chauffeured SUV, and zoomed off.

However, Pelosi's announcement isn't placating progressives in her party, such as New York Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who support "Green New Deal" legislation.
"This committee, if it turns out that the rumors about it are true, sound about as useful as a screen door on a submarine," Ocasio-Cortez spokesman Corbin Trent, told The Hill.
"As it's portrayed it's going to be completely incapable of solving the greatest threat to human kind," Trent said.
Pelosi, who's expected to be elected House speaker in 2019, said there's "tremendous pressure" for Democrats to make fighting global warming a central part of their agenda in the new year.
Pelosi made her announcement amid a government shutdown after she flew thousands of miles to a luxurious Hawaiian hotel where she was spotted Thursday, according to reports.
The creation of the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis is one way Pelosi plans on satisfying progressives without angering incoming committee chairs, like New Jersey Democratic Rep. Frank Pallone, who want to advance their own climate bills.
"It is with great enthusiasm that I appoint Congresswoman Kathy Castor as the Chair of our new Select Committee on the Climate Crisis," Pelos said in a statement issued Friday.
"She will bring great experience, energy and urgency to the existential threat of the climate crisis," Pelosi said. "This committee will be critical to the entire Congress's mission to respond to the urgency of this threat, while creating the good-paying, green jobs of the future."
Pelosi's climate committee isn't expected to have subpoena power or authority to advance legislation to the House floor for a vote. If that's the case, it would be weaker than the previous select climate committee behind the 2010 failed cap-and-trade effort.
"The American people have demanded action to combat the climate crisis, which threatens our public health, our economy, our national security and the whole of God's creation," Pelosi said.

Saikat Chakrabarti, was the chief of staff and also managed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's upstart 2018 campaign. He is leaving office after a series of controversies, and high profile fights with other democrats in the house of representatives.
"We are extraordinarily grateful for his service to advance a bold agenda and improve the lives of the people in NY-14. From his co-founding of Justice Democrats to his work on the Ocasio-Cortez campaign and in the official office, Saikat's goal has always been to do whatever he can to help the larger progressive movement, and we look forward to continuing working with him to do just that," Corbin Trent continued.
Chakrabarti has also been at the center of legal controversy. In April, he and Ocasio-Cortez were named in a Federal Election Commission complaint accusing them of overseeing a "shadowy web" of political action committees (PACs) that allowed them to raise more cash than they could have legally. The complaint also alleged that a limited liability company (LLC) was created to avoid federal expenditure requirements by offering Ocasio-Cortez and other Democratic candidates political consulting services at a price so low that the company apparently shut down before the election was even over.
The complaint centers on Brand New Congress LLC, a now-defunct company owned by Chakrabarti that aimed to recruit up to 400 left-wing candidates for national office. Dan Backer, the conservative attorney behind the complaint, said Brand New Congress LLC was guilty of providing campaign contributions known as "in-kind" expenditures by only charging candidates for a portion of the total cost of the service. Essentially, Backer claimed the company operated at a loss to provide its approved candidates with campaign services on the cheap.
Backer said Chakrabarti "was on all sides of the scheme." He owned Brand New Congress LLC, sat on the board of the Justice Democrats PAC and co-founded the Brand New Congress PAC - all while serving as Ocasio-Cortez's campaign manager.
