Dirty Facebook META Announces Release of "Twitter Rival" Called THREADS So They Can Censor, Ban and Silence Conservatives on a Whole New Platform
Facebook-META wants to challenge Twitter with a new platform called "THREADS."
The dirty social media company hopes to gain users so they can censor, ban and silence conservative voices in a whole new arena.
The Gateway Pundit has been reporting on Facebook censorship of conservative voices for years. Facebook META has banned a photo of Santa kneeling before Baby Jesus, the Star Spangled Banner video, and the Bible verse John 3:16.
Facebook eliminated or censored ALL of the top Pro-Trump pages in 2017 immediately after President Trump's victory.
META misses the good old days - when they could ban millions of conservative users on a whim. So the dirtbags at the corrupt company is launching a Twitter rival called THREADS to take on Twitter.
Mario Nawful reported:
META, the same company that copied Snapchat, TikTok, StumbleUpon, Foursquare, BeReal and Clubhouse, began coding 'Project 92' three months after Elon acquired Twitter.
Rumors have been circulating about the app's public name being 'Threads'.
META's chief product officer Chris Cox described Project 92 as "our response to Twitter" and mentioned that it will allow Instagram users to automatically transfer their followers and user information straight to the new app.
Cox threw shade at
@elonmusk
's Twitter by claiming Meta's "been hearing from creators and public figures who are interested in having a platform that is sanely run."

Facebook parent company Meta unveils new app to rival Twitter: WSJ
Meta recently revealed to employees a solo app it plans to launch through Instagram in competition with Twitter, according to people with knowledge of the matter, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Chief Product Officer Chris Cox told Meta employees that the company has heard from public figures and creators who desire "a sanely run" platform. The company is currently in talks to have celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and public figures like the Dalai Lama commit to using the app, Cox said, adding that the company is planning to launch "as soon as we can."
The app has been reported as being internally code-named Project 92, a person with knowledge of the software said.
Late Last year, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk finalized his $44 billion purchase of Twitter and quickly fired multiple executives. He later revealed that the social media giant "has interfered in elections" before vowing to make the platform more "effective, transparent and even-handed."
In September, Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry revealed that a lawsuit filed earlier last year forced the Department of Justice (DOJ) to reveal emails exposing at least 45 federal officials who "communicate[d] with social media platforms about 'misinformation' and censorship,'" including Twitter.
The emails showed the Biden administration colluded with social media companies to censor Americans in an effort that involved officials at the White House, FBI, Department of Homeland Security, State Department, Treasury Department, U.S. Election Assistance Commission, and more.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerburg also spoke at the meeting, commenting on rival company Apple's recently announced $3,500 Vision Pro headset. Zuckerberg reportedly said he was glad Apple did not give any "magical solutions...to any of the constraints on laws and physics that our teams haven't already explored and thought of."
Zuckerberg's statements came a week after the company announced the Quest 3, the most recent edition of Meta's computing headset. The device is expected to start at $499 when it goes on sale this fall.
"Their announcement really showcases the difference in the values and the vision that our companies bring to this in a way that I think is really important," Zuckerberg said, according to people familiar with the meeting. "We innovate to make sure that our products are as accessible and affordable to everyone as possible."

Chris Cox Heifer, a spokesman for Heifer International, said that ranch workers found Middleton's car in the parking lot and notified the sheriff.
The body was found shortly afterwards.
Heifer told DailyMail.com: 'He wasn't invited to the property and staff became aware that he was there without authorization.
'We have not found any connection to Heifer.
'The ranch is well known in the area and it's possible that he could have attended something here but we couldn't' find any major links.
'The ranch hosts school groups for things like lambing so he could have attended one of those. It's a very unfortunate incident.'

It has since been confirmed that the former advisor,

30 miles away from his home.

Late last year, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed
Middleton was among the Clinton advisors and aides
who had let Epstein into the White House
during the former president's first few years in office.
The late pedophile made at least
17
trips to the White House between 1993 and 1995,
seven of which were authorized by Middleton.
Montgomery said Middleton was discovered
hanging from a tree with a shotgun blast to his chest.
He reportedly used an extension cord as a noose
and created makeshift gallows underneath the tree
which appeared to be there as a failsafe
in case the shotgun blast didn't kill him.
did not leave a note, though he told his family he was 'depressed'
'He died from a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the chest. He found a tree and he pulled a table over there, and he got on that table, and he took an extension cord and put it around a limb, put it around his neck and he shot himself in the chest with a shotgun.
'It was very evident that the shotgun worked
because there was not a lot of blood or anything on the scene.
You can tell the shotgun blast was on his chest, you can tell that
because there is a hole in the chest and pellets came out the back of his back.
It was definitely self-inflicted in our opinion'. CASE CLOSED

This is weird. Trump was campaigning in South or North Carolina on February 15 2016 and Epstein flight log (with Larry as pilot) shows he went from New York to Florida on February 16 2016. And nothing in February before that.
So what was Larry doing near Trump plane on February 15 when the flight log does not fit?

"One Of The Worst Downturns In Recent History": Zuck Warns Facebook Employees To Brace For Layoffs
One month ago we showed that while the BLS still revels in its seasonally-adjusted statistical nonsense to divine the monthly level of payrolls, the real world is seeing a wave of mass layoff the likes of which have not been seen since the covid crash
Fast forward to today when it appears that we are about to hit the motherlode of mass layoffs, after none other than Zuck sounded the alarm. According to Reuters, Facebook-owner Meta Platforms (which will likely be undoing its name change just as bitcoin bottoms) has cut plans to hire engineers by at least 30% this year, CEO Mark Zuckerberg told employees on Thursday, as he warned them to brace for a deep economic downturn.
"If I had to bet, I'd say that this might be one of the worst downturns that we've seen in recent history," Zuckerberg told workers in a weekly employee Q&A session, audio of which was heard by Reuters.
And while Zuck emphasized the lack of hiring - noting that it has reduced its target for hiring engineers in 2022 to around 6,000-7,000, down from an initial plan to hire about 10,000 new engineers, which comes amid a hiring paused announced month - he confirmed that layoffs are also coming saying the company was "turning up the heat" on performance management to weed out staffers unable to meet more aggressive goals.
"Realistically, there are probably a bunch of people at the company who shouldn't be here," Zuckerberg said, adding that "part of my hope by raising expectations and having more aggressive goals, and just kind of turning up the heat a little bit, is that I think some of you might decide that this place isn't for you, and that self-selection is OK with me."
Others made the message even more forcefully, with Chief Product Officer Chris Cox saying that the company must "prioritize more ruthlessly" and "operate leaner, meaner, better executing teams."
"I have to underscore that we are in serious times here and the headwinds are fierce. We need to execute flawlessly in an environment of slower growth, where teams should not expect vast influxes of new engineers and budgets," Cox wrote.
Translation: when even the most profitable tech companies are braching for mass layoffs, the bottom is about to fall out... or as Biden would say:

Exclusive: In Private, Cassidy Hutchinson Joked About Riot…
Part 3 of 3
Before Attacking Mark Meadows, Capitalizing On His Connections
As former employees of Meadows, the group chat that Hutchinson was a part of frequently discussed him. In June 2021, CNN activist Jeremy Herb said that he'd asked the former White House chief of staff if it was appropriate for him to be emailing acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen regarding the election. Hutchinson and a friend mocked the idea that this was such a problem.
"Also however did Rosen survive the unbearable pressure campaign of ... a few FWD emails saying 'can you look at this,'" a friend wrote. "Lol dude I thought the same thing," Hutchinson responded.
"I remember thinking in that moment, Mark needs to snap out of this, and I don't know how to snap him out of this, but he needs to care," Hutchinson claimed to think when she testified. She said he didn't act on concerns about the Capitol attack.
Yet in March 2021, she was wondering if she should talk to him about using his connections to help her gain access to the Capitol Hill Club.
"At some point we should talk to mark about being tacked onto his CHC membership. I don't know how it all works exactly, but I remember Chris Cox did it for the Ola guys without a membership and they cut him a check each month for the guest fee (I think it was $150?) and whatever their tabs came out to (it's charged to an account and paid in lump sum the 15th of each month)," she wrote.
From Not Caring What CNN Thinks, To Media Darling
The same media that would later celebrate Hutchinson had also drawn her ire in private before she testified on national television. A May 9, 2022, Newsweek article, "Jan 6. Committee using young Trump staffers to its 'advantage'," led one friend to complain to Hutchinson that the J6 Committee was "literally admitting that they're abusing the lives of young staff for political gain."
Hutchinson wrote that a series of tweetsadding commentary to a piece from Politico's Kyle Cheney had her "red hot mad."
"Time and again, the Jan. 6 select committee has broken through stonewalls erected by Donald Trump's closest allies by turning to their junior aide and deputies," Kyle wrote. "Nowhere is this clearer than in the case of Meadows aide Cassidy Hutchinson ... The cooperation from aides like Hutchinson has given the select committee confidence they'll be able to tell the full story of Trump's attempt to subvert the election - even without help from Meadows, Bannon, Eastman and Clark."
"I wanted to be like ... the members LITERALLY told you they're taking advantage of us ... So shut the [f-] up and stop tweeting about me ... leave me alone ... there is no story here," Hutchinson wrote in a series of messages.
When another friend joked that Cheney was portraying her as John Dean, she replied, "It's honestly nauseating."
Hutchinson claimed CNN's Jim Acosta contacted her and said to her, "Thank you for your bravery and courage. We and the American people look forward to learning more from your testimony." Hutchinson said she had "about twenty snarky responses typed to respond back but just let it go ... Like stop WARPING everything you [f--] [j--] ... and also I couldn't give less of a [f-] what cnn thinks of me. Truly."
Within weeks, Hutchinson would be basking in the glow of effusive praise from Acosta and other partisans at CNN, many of whom described her as more important than CNN contributor John Dean.
Hutchinson did not respond to this story by press time.

WEF: Metaverse Will Be "More Meaningful to Us Than Our Physical Lives"
The World Economic Forum (WEF) and major corporations, following talks at last month's annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, launched a new initiative: "Defining and Building the Metaverse."
As the initiative's name implies, its stakeholders are still in the process of defining exactly what the term "metaverse" means.
However, according to the WEF, in part, the metaverse involves a moment "at which our digital lives? - our online identities, experiences, relationships, and assets - become more meaningful to us than our physical lives."
One person involved in the talks, Julia Goldin, LEGO's chief product & marketing officer, expressed optimism about how the metaverse could aid in children's development:
"To us, the priority is to help create a world in which we can give kids all the benefits of the metaverse - one with immersive experiences, creativity and self-expression at its core - in a way that is also safe, protects their rights and promotes their well-being."
While the talks focused somewhat on how to definitively define the term "metaverse," there was also a great deal of focus on who should be involved in - and potentially profit from - its development.
Those involved in the talks positioned themselves to "develop and share actionable strategies for creating and governing" an "interoperable and safe" metaverse.
There also were extensive discussions on providing "guidance on how to create an ethical and inclusive metaverse, engaging organizations across the private and public sectors, including business, civil society, academia and regulators."
The WEF described the initiative as "bringing together leading voices from the private sector, civil society, academia and policy" to "define the parameters" of the metaverse's future development.
A May 25 session - "Shaping a Shared Future: Making the Metaverse" - included the following panelists:
Chris Cox, chief product officer of Facebook's parent company, Meta.
Peggy Johnson, CEO of Magic Leap, described by the WEF as "a spatial computing company building the next computing platform."
Philip Rosedale, founder of Linden Lab, which developed the "Second Life" virtual world, acquired in April by Meta.
Andrew R. Sorkin, financial columnist for The New York Times and co-anchor of CNBC's "Squawk Box."
Omar Sultan Al Olama, minister of state for artificial intelligence in the United Arab Emirates, appointed in 2017.
Nick Clegg, Meta's president of global affairs who was formerly deputy prime minister of the U.K., said the "multistakeholder initiative" aims to assume a leading role in establishing and shaping the metaverse.

NRA says it will wait for final text of bill before deciding whether to support bipartisan Senate deal on post-Uvalde gun legislation.
Senate negotiators reach deal on modest gun legislation in aftermath of Uvalde school shooting
Deal would best funding for mental health and school safety, give money to states for "red flag" laws and expand background checks for buyers under the age of 21.
Abipartisan group of senators announced Sunday they had reached a deal on a framework for modest gun legislation aimed at hardening schools, increasing mental health resources and supporting states with "red flag" laws in the aftermath of the Uvalde school shooting.
"We have a deal," Sen. Chris Murphy, C-Conn., one of the key negotiators, announced on Twitter. "Today a bipartisan group of 20 Senators (10 D and 10 R) is announcing a breakthrough agreement on gun violence - the first in 30 years - that will save lives.
"I think you'll be surprised at the scope of our framework," he added, expressing optimism the framework could advance through the evenly divided Senate.
The deal, however, falls far short of the sweeping gun measures House Democrats passed last week that included an assault weapons ban and limits on ammunition cartridge sizes, legislation that had no chance of Senate passage.
According to Murphy and other senators, the bipartisan deal would:
provide funding for mental health resources
increase school safety and grants for states to implement "red flag" laws that allow authorities to confiscate guns from people deemed to be dangerous;
expand FBI background check system to include juvenile records for any prospective gun buyer under the age of 21;
close the so-called boyfriend loophole to prohibit dating partners - not just spouses - from owning guns if they had been convicted of domestic violence.
The negotiators also included Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, who put out a joint statement expressing his support for the deal.
"Our plan saves lives while also protecting the constitutional rights of law-abiding Americans," the joint statement said. "We look forward to earning broad, bipartisan support and passing our commonsense proposal into law."
Historically, the National Rifle Association has opposed "red flag" laws but its top lobbyist Chris Cox released a video earlier this year suggesting possible support for the key component of such laws, risk protection orders.
"This can help prevent violent behavior before it turns into a tragedy," Cox said in March.
The NRA said Sunday it will wait for the final legislation before determining its position.
"The NRA is committed to real solutions to help stop violence in our communities. We encourage our elected officials to provide more resources to secure our schools, fix to our severely broken mental health system and support law enforcement," the gun lobby said.
"As is our policy, the NRA does not take positions on 'frameworks'. We will make our position known when the full text of the bill is available for review," it added.

>>16406491 Mark Middleton was Bill Clinton's advisor who admitted Jeffrey Epstein into White House seven times has blocked release of files detailing the death scene
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10882101/Family-late-Clinton-advisor-Mark-Middleton-block-release-files-relating-suicide.html
Heifer is the clue
HMMM
hmmmm
why might he
( or if murderered other person (s)
have been saying
by choosing this death location?
It has since been confirmed that the former advisor,
who lived in Little Rock, Arkansas,
took his own life at the Heifer Ranch in Perryville,
owned by an anti-poverty nonprofit called Heifer International,
30 miles away from his home.
*Heifer International
*hosts school groups for things like lambing ( people like Epstein and Clintons, they call us sheep )
CASE CLOSED

Epstein Island
Plastic cows
Life-size plastic cow statues were random, strange, and unexplainable figures on the island. Supposedly, staff members moved the cows around each day. It remains a mystery why they were moved around or why they were there in the first place.

Anons, GREAT Lin Wood interview with Club36 just ended – got it on late. He was covering everything and the two ladies (including Mrs. Spaulding, the host) are aware of just about everything that we are, as well. Chris Cox of Bikers For Trump was on first.
It's fakebook, but worth it. https://www.facebook.com/WBPITV49/videos/184720850173211
Their website - hopefully they upload it here: https://www.wbpi.org/Club36

Report: Facebook Workers Are Concerned About Running Chinese Propaganda Ads
Facebook staffers are reportedly expressing their concerns on internal message boards over Chinese government ads on the social media platform, which promote a message that China's Muslim minorities in the nation's Xinjiang region are happy and thriving.
Facebook staffers have internally expressed their concerns about the company being used as a conduit for Chinese Communist Party propaganda, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.
While Facebook is blocked in China, Beijing uses the platform to spread its political views to hundreds of millions of people in other nations through advertisements.
Sources who spoke to the Wall Street Journal said Facebook hasn't decided whether to act in response to staff's concerns, and is watching to see how international organizations - like the United Nations - react to the situation in Xinjiang.
A Facebook spokesman said Beijing's ads regarding Xinjiang don't violate the social media giant's policies, as long as advertisers follow the company's rules when buying them. The spokesman added that Facebook is monitoring reports of the situation in Xinjiang "to help inform our approach and due diligence on this issue."
The advertisements and posts in question involve videos of people in Xinjiang - including some children - saying to the camera that their lives are improving and that Western nations are plotting to try to destabilize China.
The report added that a Facebook employee had posted in the company's internal chat for Muslim staff, pointing out that the U.S. government had declared Beijing's treatment of Uyghurs a genocide.
"It's time our platform takes action to fight misinformation on the Uighur genocide," the Facebook employee wrote in the post, obtained by the Wall Street Journal.
The staffer described the post as a "plea to our leadership," and tagged Chris Cox, Facebook's chief product officer, and a top lieutenant to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Cox responded by saying that he would "circle back."
"Thanks for looping me in," Cox replied. "This is incredibly serious. Let me check with our integrity teams for a status update and circle back personally or with the right POC [point of contact]."
While Facebook leadership mulls over whether or not to ban Communist propaganda from its platform, the company doesn't appear to hesitate in taking action against U.S. presidents, as Mark Zuckerberg blacklisted former President Donald Trump "indefinitely" on Facebook and Instagram earlier this year.

EARN IT: PRIVACY, ENCRYPTION, AND POLICING IN THE
INFORMATION AGE
by: Jonathan Bennett
May 6 2020
"You may have heard about a new bill working its way through the US congress, the EARN IT act. That's the "Eliminating Abusive and Rampant Neglect of Interactive Technologies Act of 2020". (What does that mean? It means someone really wanted their initials to spell out "EARN IT".)
EARN IT is a bipartisan bill that claims to be an effort to put a dent in child exploitation online. It's also managed to catch the attention of the EFF, Schneier, and a variety of news outlets. The overwhelming opinion has been that EARN IT is a terrible idea, will make implementing end-to-end encryption impossible, and violates the First and Fourth Amendments. How does a bill intended to combat child pornography and sex trafficking end up on the EFF bad list? It's complicated.
First off, we have to cover the Communications Decency Act, and section 230 specifically. So let's wind back the clock to 1996. The internet was young, but there were already flame wars. Two important court decisions had recently happened, and together they put Internet service providers in an odd place.
The first decision, Cubby vs CompuServe, was a result of a posting in a forum controlled by CompuServe. Cubby, Inc. was the target of what they considered to be defamation, and they brought a lawsuit against CompuServe for hosting the material. The court found in a summary judgement that because CompuServe was unaware of the contents of their forum, they were acting as a distributor, and not liable for the contents of the forums. This would be the equivalent of a bookstore having no liability for the contents of their books.
The other decision, Stratton Oakmont v. Prodigy, took a different path. This case also tested the liability of a service provider. In this case, because Prodigy exercised "editorial control" over bulletin board postings, it was ruled to be acting as a publisher rather than a simple distributor. As a publisher, Prodigy was liable for the postings that were allowed on their services.
These two decisions meant that a service provider took on much more liability by policing user content. Simply allowing every post would be the safer stance, but would predictably result in a terrible experience for the majority of end users. Congressmen Chris Cox and with Ron Wyden, began work on a provision to protect service providers while still allowing them to police what content would be allowed on their platform. Their work became an amendment to Title V of the Telecommunications Act of 1996. While most of the rest of Title V, the Communications Decency Act, was struck down as unconstitutional, Section 230 is still an important bit of law to this day."

THE SILICON VALLEY ANTI-AMERICA, ELECTION INTERFERING PROPAGANDA MACHINE
Zuckerberg has led a bunch of tech industry leaders in launching a political group called FWD.us, which is supposed to be focused on building support for immigration reform. But for their first big TV ads they have decided to run messages that applaud legislators for supporting the dangerous Keystone XL tar sands pipeline and pushing for drilling in the Arctic Refuge. Seriously, what the heck are they thinking? This is a group of people who understand the importance of technology, innovation, and science. They should be leading the fight on climate change and clean energy innovation, not bankrolling ads for dirty energy projects.
https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/56204
WASHINGTON, DC - FWD.us President Todd Schulte issued the following statement today on the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling, at the Department of Justice's request, to prohibit the addition of a citizenship question for the first time since 1950 to the upcoming 2020 Census:
WASHINGTON, DC - "We are grateful that the Supreme Court has rejected the Administration's attempts to add a citizenship question to the 2020 United States Census and remanded this to the lower court. The Court has made very clear that the reasons given by the U.S. government for adding a citizenship question were clearly, entirely, and simply false - which they were. Adding a citizenship question could have led to a dangerous under-counting of the U.S.' real population, particularly in immigrant communities and communities of color. Given the Administration's own timeline for printing, it is clear that this question cannot be on the 2020 Census."

Trump's ATF Pick: 'I Take A Back Seat To No One In My Reverence For The 2nd Amendment'
President Donald Trump announced Friday plans to nominate Fraternal Order of Police President Chuck Canterbury to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Canterbury has been Fraternity Order of Police (FOP) president for 16 years, having previously spent 26 years in the Horry County, South Carolina, Police Department's patrol, criminal and training divisions, according to the White House statement.
"Chuck is one of the most honorable people I've ever worked with and if he is selected, I can't think of a finer person to take the position," said Jonathan Thompson, executive director of the National Sheriffs' Association. Thompson made the remarks to POLITICO in Nov. 2018, when Canterbury's name was first floated for the position. Trump worked closely with Canterbury on sentencing reform legislation passed Nov. 2018. The measure, which granted leniency on minimum sentencing rules for some drug offenses and expanded rehabilitation programs, enjoyed rare bipartisan support and was backed by the ACLU, according to Politico. Canterbury has been vocal in his Second Amendment support, testifying July 2009 before the Senate Judiciary Committee in support of the nomination of Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, who had worked closely with police as a Manhattan prosecutor early in her career: "I want no mistake to be made," Canterbury testified. "I take a back seat to no one in my reverence for the Second Amendment. In fact, if I thought that Judge Sotomayor's presence on the court posed a threat to my Second Amendment right, I would not be supporting her here today."
In an interview with NRA President Chris Cox in 2011, Canterbury reiterated his support of gun-rights, saying "it's a duty for us at FOP to support policies that protect our nation's law enforcement officers-but also protect the rights of law-abiding citizens." Canterbury also took a shot during the NRA interview at ex-Mayor Michael Bloomberg, founder of gun-control group Everytown For Gun Safety, who once called the FOP a "fringe group" for arguing against disclosing "trace" data on firearms. "The real fringe group is the reckless politicians who interfere with law enforcement. I can't just stand by while politicians grandstand over our issues without understanding the real-world implications," Canterbury said. Canterbury now awaits an official nomination, after which he will require confirmation by the U.S. Senate.

Donald Trump To Deliver Keynote Address At NRA Annual Meeting Next Month
President Donald Trump will deliver remarks to National Rifle Association (NRA) members next month at the pro-Second Amendment organization's annual meetings and exhibits in Indianapolis.
The president is expected to deliver his third keynote address at the NRA Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA) Leadership Forum on April 26 at the Indiana Convention Center-Lucas Oil Stadium. (RELATED: These Politicians Are Campaigning On Guns, And The Nra Gives Them 'F' Ratings)
"Donald Trump is the most enthusiastic supporter of the Second Amendment to occupy the Oval Office in our lifetimes. It is truly an honor to have President Trump address NRA members for the fifth consecutive year," said Chris Cox, NRA-ILA Executive Director.

He added, "President Trump's Supreme Court appointments ensure that the Second Amendment will be respected for generations to come. Our members are excited to hear him speak and thank him for his support for our Right to Keep and Bear Arms."
Trump gained the support of the NRA during his 2016 run for the White House and promised to appoint judges with a strict constitutionalist view of the Second Amendment.
"I kept my promise, and now, with your help, our brand-new Justice-and he is really something very special-Neil Gorsuch, sits on the bench of the United States Supreme Court," Trump said during his speech at the NRA meeting in 2017 in Georgia, immediately following his election to the presidency.
He went on to say later in his speech, "But you came through for me, and I am going to come through for you. I was proud to receive the NRA's earliest endorsement in the history of the organization. And today, I am also proud to be the first sitting president to address the NRA Leadership Forum since our wonderful Ronald Reagan in 1983. And I want to thank each and every one of you, not only for your help electing true friends of the Second Amendment but for everything you do to defend our flag and our freedom."

Federal judge rules California ban on high-capacity magazines violates Second Amendment
A federal judge in California on Friday ruled against the Golden State's ban on gun magazines that are able to hold more than 10 rounds.
U.S. District Court Judge Roger T. Benitez said the rule violates the Second Amendment and infringes upon citizens' rights to defend themselves.
"California's law prohibiting acquisition and possession of magazines able to hold any more than 10 rounds places a severe restriction on the core right of self-defense of the home such that it amounts to a destruction of the right and is unconstitutional under any level of scrutiny," he wrote in an 86-page decision.
"California's ban is far-reaching, absolute, and permanent. The ban on acquisition and possession on magazines able to hold more than 10 rounds, together with the substantial criminal penalties threatening a law-abiding, responsible, citizen who desires such magazines to protect hearth and home, imposes a burden on the constitutional right that this Court judges as severe."
Benitez, a George W. Bush appointee who serves on the bench for the Southern District of California, also wrote that California's ban unfairly impacts a wide swath of the state's gun owners, as many choose to use magazines containing over 10 rounds for their defense.
"The magazine ban arbitrarily selects 10 rounds as the magazine capacity over which possession is unlawful...The ban on magazines that hold more than 10 rounds amounts to a prohibition on an entire class of 'arms' that is overwhelmingly chosen by American citizens for the lawful purpose of self-defense," he ruled.
The National Rifle Association (NRA), which backed the lawsuit, hailed the decision as a "huge win for gunowners."
"Judge Benitez took the Second Amendment seriously and came to the conclusion required by the Constitution," NRA Executive Director Chris Cox said in a statement. "The same should be true of any court analyzing a ban on a class of arms law-abiding Americans commonly possess for self-defense or other lawful purposes."
The gun lobbying group acknowledged that the state was likely to appeal Friday's decision to the Ninth Circuit.

Facebook downgraded after 11 high-profile execs defect
March 18, 2019
Monday, 11 high-profile Facebook executives have left the social network, with more recent departures such as Chris Cox, WhatsApp chief Chris Daniels, Instagram co-founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, and Chief Security Officer Alex Stamos. Cox's and Daniels's departures, in particular, may be the most notable in some ways, because they reportedly stemmed from fundamental disagreements with Zuckerberg over a push towards creating a unified privacy-focused network, one where users on Instagram could one day message someone on WhatsApp, for example.
The note cautioned more Facebook executives may leave the company.

https://www.conservativedailynews.com/2019/03/zuckerbergs-right-hand-man-unexpectedly-quits-following-news-of-fed-investigation/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebookOne of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's top lieutenants unexpectedly quit Thursday following news that federal prosecutors are investigating the company's use of private data.
Chris Cox was put in charge of some of Facebook's most important features, including Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp,- which together have over 2.7 billion users worldwide. Cox, who has been with the company for 13 years, announced his departure in a blog post Thursday without explaining what led to his exit.
"It is with great sadness I share with you that after thirteen years, I've decided to leave the company," Cox wrote in his post. "Since I was twenty-three, I've poured myself into these walls. This place will forever be a part of me."
(Article Continues Below Advertisement)
Zuckerberg said in a separate blog post on the same day that the veteran executive had considered moving on several years ago but stayed around after 2016. News of Cox's departure comes after a grand jury in New York subpoenaed records from two smartphone developers. Both companies entered into large and complex data deals with Facebook, allowing all the firms involved in the partnership to collect vast troves of information on millions of users.
The agreements allowed companies such as Amazon, Apple and Microsoft, among others, to see users' friends and contact information, often without consent. The Department of Justice began probing the Silicon Valley company after a report showed Cambridge Analytica, a political consulting firm, used the platform to improperly obtained data on 87 million people to help President Donald Trump's campaign.

A red flag in a Facebook exec's goodbye letter shows there's bad blood over Mark Zuckerberg's radical privacy plan
Jake Kanter

Facebook on Thursday announced that its chief product officer, Chris Cox, and Chris Daniels, the head of WhatsApp, were leaving the company.
A telling line in Cox's goodbye letter suggests there were significant disagreements over Mark Zuckerberg's plan to pivot Facebook to privacy.
This was backed up by a report in The New York Times, which said there were frustrations over Zuckerberg's vision for the company.
Facebook sprang a surprise Thursday when CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that another of his key lieutenants was leaving the company.
Following the departure of senior executives such as the Instagram founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, Zuckerberg said the company's chief product officer, Chris Cox, was headed for the door after 13 years. Chris Daniels, the head of WhatsApp, is also leaving.
Soon after everything was official, Cox published his goodbye letter to staff on his Facebook page. On first read, it's an ode to his good times at the company, in which he praises the senior management team and calls Zuckerberg a "dear friend."
In the comments below, there are glowing tributes from Zuckerberg ("It's been an honor and I'm deeply grateful"), Facebook's chief operating officer, Sheryl Sandberg ("We are a better company for what you have given"), and the company's chief technology officer, Mike Schroepfer ("I'll deeply miss seeing you").
Read more: Mark Zuckerberg says his vision to divide Facebook's products in 2 could put its $56 billion business model at risk
But there's a telling line in Cox's letter signaling disagreements over the direction Zuckerberg is taking Facebook- namely, its pivot to privacy and encryption, which the CEO set out in a manifesto last week.
Here's the key part of Cox's note:
"As Mark has outlined, we are turning a new page in our product direction, focused on an encrypted, interoperable, messaging network.
"It's a product vision attuned to the subject matter of today: a modern communications platform that balances expression, safety, security, and privacy.
"This will be a big project and we will need leaders who are excited to see the new direction through."
This final sentence is revealing. Saying that Zuckerberg's vision will need people who believe in the direction of travel implies that Cox is not among them.
Indeed, The New York Times reports that there were "disagreements" over Zuckerberg's plan, which in essence will combine the back ends of WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram messaging to create an interoperable messaging service, protected by end-to-end encryption.
Citing six sources, The Times reported that Cox "disagreed with some of Mr. Zuckerberg's product ideas and changes, including the 'unified messaging' project intended to connect the apps."
This was echoed by Ben Horowitz, the cofounder of the influential Silicon Valley venture-capital firm Andreessen Horowitz. Horowitz's partner, Marc Andreessen, is a Facebook board member.
Horowitz tweeted that the departures of Cox and Daniels showed there was "extremely strong dissent" over Zuckerberg's vision for Facebook. He added that it's a huge change of direction and that it "is quite clear that the decision was massively controversial."

Zuckerberg's Right-Hand Man Unexpectedly Quits Following News Of Fed Investigation
One of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's top lieutenants unexpectedly quit Thursday following news that federal prosecutors are investigating the company's use of private data. Chris Cox was put in charge of some of Facebook's most important features, including Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp - which together have over 2.7 billion users worldwide.
This place will forever be a part of me." Zuckerberg said in a separate blog post on the same day that the veteran executive had considered moving on several years ago but stayed around after 2016. "For a few years, Chris has been discussing with me his desire to do something else. He is one of the most talented people I know and he has the potential to do anything he wants. But after 2016, we both realized we had too much important work to do to improve our products for society, and he stayed to help us work through these issues and help us chart a course for our family of apps going forward," Zuckerberg wrote.
News of Cox's departure comes after a grand jury in New York subpoenaed records from two smartphone developers. Both companies entered into large and complex data deals with Facebook, allowing all the firms involved in the partnership to collect vast troves of information on millions of users. Wichit was an admirer of the leader of the Italian fascists, Benito Mussolini. As the chief ideologist of Phibun, Wichit used the emerging radio, the diffusion of photographs and slogans, to mobilize the masses. He was the authoritative head behind demands to "liberate" areas of colonial rule lost to Great Britain and France. The scattered "Thai people family" should be united because of their cultural similarities and "racial" kinship. The then British ambassador to Bangkok, Sir Josiah Crosby, described him as "pocket dr. Goebbels "[15] (translates as" Dr. Goebbels in pocket size ").

Top Execs Flee Facebook: Chief Product Officer, WhatsApp CEO Both Quit; Stock Tumbles
The storm clouds gathering above Facebook are getting darker by the hour.
Less than one day after Facebook suffered an unprecedented outage that last for hours and impacted all of the company's media properties, and just hours after the NYT reported that Facebook is under criminal investigation over its data deals, and that a New York grand jury has subpoenaed records from at least two smartphones manufacturers which gained access to personal data of hundreds of millions of users, moments ago Facebook announced that two top execs had unexpectedly quit the company.
In a blog post to employees published on the company's website, in which he said that he wants "to share some important updates as we organize our company to build out the privacy-focused social platform I discussed in my note last week" adding that "embarking on this new vision represents the start of a new chapter for us", Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote that both Chris Cox, Chief Product Officer, and Chris Daniels, CEO of WhatsApp, had decided to leave the company.
For a few years, Chris has been discussing with me his desire to do something else. He is one of the most talented people I know and he has the potential to do anything he wants. But after 2016, we both realized we had too much important work to do to improve our products for society, and he stayed to help us work through these issues and help us chart a course for our family of apps going forward. At this point, we have made real progress on many issues and we have a clear plan for our apps, centered around making private messaging, stories and groups the foundation of the experience, including enabling encryption and interoperability across our services. As we embark on this next major chapter, Chris has decided now is the time to step back from leading these teams. I will really miss Chris, but mostly I am deeply grateful for everything he has done to build this place and serve our community.
Zuckerberg also announced that Will Cathcart will be new head of WhatsApp, and that Fidji Simo will be new head of the Facebook app; meanwhile Zuck said he doesn't plan to immediately appoint anyone to fill Cox's role.
"This is an important change as we begin the next chapter of our work building the privacy-focused social foundation for the future. I'm deeply grateful for everything Chris Cox and Chris Daniels have done here, and I'm looking forward to working with Will and Fidji in their new roles as well as everyone who will be critical to achieving this vision. We have so much important work ahead and I'm excited to continue working to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together" Zuckerberg wrote.
It was unclear if the departing execs left for a specific reason - i.e., the increasing political scrutiny over the world's most powerful and influential publisher of news - or if they simply wanted to "spend time with their family."

Facebook loses CPO Chris Cox and WhatsApp VP Chris Daniels
13-year Facebook veteran, Chief Product Officer, and the spirit animal of the social network Chris Cox is departing the company after two years of seeking to do something new. Cox's exit is part of a big executive reshuffle as Facebook embarks on prioritizing privacy through messaging, groups, Stories, and integration of its chat features.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg explained the departure of his long-time friend, saying "For a few years, Chris has been discussing with me his desire to do something else . . . But after 2016, we both realized we had too much important work to do to improve our products for society, and he stayed to help us work through these issues and help us chart a course for our family of apps going forward. At this point, we have made real progress . . . As we embark on this next major chapter, Chris has decided now is the time to step back from leading these teams."
Cox bowing out after so long is understandable, but more surprising is today's departure of Chris Daniels, an 8-year employee who was moved from being head of Internet.org to VP of WhatsApp just last May.
The changes solidify that Facebook is entering a new era as it chases the trend of feed sharing giving way to private communication. Cox and Daniels may feel they've done their part advancing Facebook's product, and that the company needs renewed energy as it shifts from a relentless growth focus to keeping its users loyal while learning to monetize a new from of social networking.
Here's the breakdown of the executive changes:
Chris Cox will depart Facebook, but hasn't revealed plans for what's next. He will not be immediately replaced
Chris Daniels will leave WhatsApp, and Facebook declined to provide any details on why or the circumstances
Will Cathcart wil go from running the main Facebook app to VP of WhatsApp
Fidji Simo who was the VP of Product for Facebook video, news, and advertising will take over Cathcart's role running Facebook's main app
Javier Olivan who was Facebook's VP of growth will oversee integration of Facebook's products, including the plan to unify the backend of Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram direct to expand encryption and allow cross-app messaging that some see a shield against Facebook being broken up.
Instagram VP Adam Mosseri, Messenger's VP Stan Chudnovsky, Simo, and Cathcart will now report directly to Zuckerberg, while Chief Marketing Officer Antonio Lucio reports to COO Sheryl Sandberg
Cox was one of Facebook's first 15 engineers, joining in 2015 after Zuckerberg convinced him to drop out of a Stanford grad program. He became Facebook's Director of Human Resources and then in 2008, its VP of product. He was promoted to CPO in 2014 and aided in Facebook's clean up after the 2016 presidential election, working on misinformation and at-risk countries to deter future attacks on democracy. Over the years, he remained a fixture of Zuckerberg's inner circle of friends and liutenants. Oh, and he's a wicked keyboardist who plays is a very respectable reggae band.
Known for his hit talk revealing the Timeline profile at F8 2011 and giving a rousing new employee orientation speech, Cox's departure could drag on Facebook's already-shaky morale. Some staffers saw him as a preferred replacement for Zuckerberg should he ever leave the CEO role. That leaves the line of succession an open question at Facebook, with Sandberg, Olivan, and Mosseri as the most likely candidates.

Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg has reorganized the company's product and engineering groups into three main divisions. This includes a new "family of apps" group run by Chris Cox, chief product officer. Cox will oversee Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger, Recode reported, citing multiple sources.
The other group is referred to as "New platforms and infra," which will be managed by Chief Technology Officer Mike Schroepfer. Schroepfer also will oversee the company's virtual reality and augmented reality unit.
It also said longtime Facebook executive Javier Olivan, the company's vice president of growth, will oversee the third division, called "Central product services." That includes all of the shared features that operate across multiple products or apps such as ads, security and growth.

Former SEC Chair Cox Needs to Answer for Theft of Nest Eggs and His Revolving Door Career
The man who presided over Wall Street's most shameful era takes the witness stand today before the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission. Former Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC) Chairman Christopher Cox sat on his hands while Madoff stole and Wall Street crashed and burned. Our consumer group opposed US Senate confirmation of Cox as SEC Chairman based on his representation of a swindler in private practice. Since leaving the SEC Cox has returned to lucrative private securities defense practice. The commission needs to question Cox hard about his revolving door and how he could let so much fraud go without enforcement action.
Cox, an attorney and former Congressman, is now a partner with Bingham McCutchen LLP in its corporate, mergers and acquisitions and securities practice in Orange County, California. When he was nominated to head the SEC in 2005, his work at the firm of Latham & Watkins prior to being elected to Congress was highlighted in a video featuring comic actor Greg Germann, dealing with his defense of a massive Ponzi scheme that should have disqualified him from the SEC post. Watch the video here.
Chris Cox is the quintessential symbol of Bush era indifference to financial fraud that wrecked the economy and pulled the rug out from under Americans because insiders like Cox were watching the Wall Street trading coop. Phil Angelides and the rest of the Commission should interrogate Cox about how so much fraud could go undetected under his watch and also about his contacts with his former and current employer during his tenure.
Cox has a long and sordid history of working on behalf of corporate interests and scammers that attempt to side-step the law. Cox was named in a 1995 lawsuit for his role in misleading regulators about an investment scheme that became one of the most notorious investment frauds in American history. As a private attorney, Cox represented First Pension Corporation and its founder William Cooper, who was later sentenced to prison for swindling California investors out of $130 million dollars in a massive pyramid scheme. Cox argued to California securities regulators that Cooper's investment schemes were low-risk and should be free of regulatory scrutiny. In fact, the risks associated with First Pension's mortgage investments were extremely high.

This is a partial transcript from "Your World with Neil Cavuto," August 4, 2005, that was edited for clarity.
NEIL CAVUTO, HOST: If you do not know my next guest, you will. He has been sworn in now by Alan Greenspan as the new chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, sort of the stock market's top cop. And now he joins us for his very first interview on his very first day of work. And, for that, we are indeed honored.
From Washington, Christopher Cox.
Mr. Chairman, good to have you.
ChrisTOPHER Cox, CHAIRMAN, SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION: I'm happy to join you.
CAVUTO: What's your first day like?
Cox: Well, it's just a few blocks away from the Capitol, so I don't feel as if I'm lost, although it's a brand new building and a significant change for all of the thousands of employees of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
One of the ways I have been able to bond with all of the staff there is that we're all learning our way around together. It's a nice new facility, however, that I think will help the Securities and Exchange Commission even better discharge its mission of investor protection.
CAVUTO: Now, your predecessor, William Donaldson, was largely credited by investors with making the investment marketplace fairer to investors. You're deemed to be not as fair, that you are deemed to be more friendly to business. What's the deal?
Cox: Well, as you know, I am very, very proud to follow in the footsteps of Bill Donaldson. I think he did an outstanding job for President Bush, for the SEC and for the country. He brought the commission, to be sure, but also the markets and public confidence in the markets, through some very, very difficult times.
I think he's left the country with a restored sense of confidence in the markets, and that's quite an accomplishment, given the scandals that had rocked the market just prior to his taking office.
Now, insofar as the prognosticators are concerned, asking whether Chris Cox will be business-friendly or investor-friendly, as if those two are mutually exclusive, I have suggested that perhaps some of those prognosticators are about as accurate as a WorldCom prospectus.
I have every intention of leading the Securities and Exchange Commission forward in its mission of investor protection. You know, the Department of Commerce serves business in America. And the SEC is the investors' advocate. In particular, I want to reenergize the SEC behind the mission of protecting the individual investor.
CAVUTO: You made a point of doing that with the enforcement chief today.
I guess I wonder, is your message today, sir, that those who think I'm somehow in the hip pocket of business, they're wrong?
Cox: Yes. To put it as bluntly as I can. That of course, is not the mission of the SEC, but, rather, by insuring that we look out for the interests of all the participants in the marketplace, including individual investors, and put everybody on a level playing field, we can advantage all of the players in the economy, big and small.
CAVUTO: What do you think of Eliot Spitzer, the New York attorney general?
Cox: Well, you know, I have yet to meet Mr. Spitzer, but I'm looking forward to doing so.
I think the states have a crucial role to play, just as does the federal government, in enforcing sometimes different laws that emphasize different policy priorities. The SEC's main mission, which is complementary in many respects to the missions of the states, is built around a disclosure regime.
We want to make sure there is full and fair disclosure, so that the markets have the best information possible for the participants to make decisions for individuals to determine whether they should buy and sell.

5 Failures of SEC Chairman Cox
(from 2008)
read it and weep ktwat
been a problem for many year's
Almost all paths of incompetence in the current crisis run through the office of the Chairman of the SEC, Chris Cox. McCain's solution to fire Cox isn't tough enough. Exile is better. Fortunately for Cox this isn't the Stalinist Soviet Union or his fate could be a lot worse.
Cox's failures are too numerous to count. However, I'll give it a try. Below are what I think are his top 5 failings.
Failure to enforce disclosure laws and regulations.
Disclosure rules and regulations protect investors by requiring companies to disclose everything that is needed for informed investment decisions. And, CEOs and CFOs are required to sign certifications that such disclosure is materially accurate, complete, and that their companies have adequate internal controls to ensure such accuracy and completeness.
Enforcement of disclosure rules and regulations has been a joke. CEOs lie to shareholders with impunity and without fear of SEC enforcement. It is impossible to conclude that SEC filings for Freddie, Fannie, AIG, Lehman, or Bear Stearns complied with SEC rules and regulations.
However, instead of enforcement by the SEC, there is silence. While not all management actions are criminal, why hasn't the SEC used its civil enforcement authority, i.e., assessing fines and penalties? How about protecting future investors by banning failed executives and boards of directors from serving in executive management at other public companies?
Failure to enforce accounting standards.
When Cox states that the SEC doesn't have regulatory authority over capital adequacy of financial services companies, he isn't telling the truth. The SEC has regulatory authority over the financial statements of ALL publicly traded companies in the U.S. which of course includes the financials. If Cox had required greater reserves and transparency of financial services companies it would have happened.
Every quarter all publicly traded companies file reports with the SEC that are provided to shareholders and the SEC has review and comment authority. If the SEC deems financial disclosure inadequate, incomplete or opaque it has the authority to force the company to amend its filings. It also has authority to establish accounting standards for publicly traded companies which means it can have different requirements than GAAP.
So when AIG filed its last quarterly report and decided that it didn't need to have loan loss reserves against defaulting mortgages and securities, the SEC had the ability to require additional loan loss reserves. When Freddie and Fannie decided to pretend that defaulted mortgage were good assets because they changed their accounting standards, the SEC could have just said "no". When Lehman manufactured $2.4 billion of pre-tax income by pretending that it wasn't going to repay its debts (one of the dumber aspects of mark to market accounting), the SEC should have protected investors with disclosure.
Failure to supervise the rating agencies.
3. Cox wants everyone to believe that despite being the rating agencies' only regulator, the SEC has no oversight or enforcement authority and cannot influence their performance. Once again, the SEC's statements are false. Cox assumes that no one will take the time to read the Credit Rating Agency Reform Act of 2006 which states that the SEC has the right to suspend or revoke the license of any rating agency for a wide range of reasons. Rating agency regulation and reform is Cox's responsibility.
Failure to investigate and prevent market manipulation, i.e., naked short selling.
4. Free markets are supposed to be honest markets. The naked short selling issue isn't new and the SEC's knee-jerk emergency response is an embarrassment. The ban on short selling of 799 stocks is very similar to Putin's actions this week to manipulate the Russian stock market. I haven't a clue whether or not the uptick rule works, but I know that enforcing rules on naked short selling shouldn't have required destructive and ill-thought-out emergency orders. In the middle of the 1800's the legendary financial scoundrel, Daniel Drew, understood naked short selling was bad (as he lost his fortune covering a short squeeze) when he said, "He who sells what isn't his'n, Must buy it back or go to prison." Too bad Cox never took economic history in school (or googled economic trivia).
Failure to protect small investors.

Chris Cox of Facebook sold 15,900 shares on 1/15. But he sold 10,600 shares on 8/13, 14,408 shares on 8/8, 10,600 shares on 7/23, 10,600 shares on 7/02, 10,600 shares on 6/11, 10,600 shares on 5/22, and 14,408 shares on 5/21. The sale on 1/15 doesn't seem notable.
The CRM sales are similar. Marc R Bernioff has sold basically 5,000 shares per day for the last year.
Sundar Pichai has sold 9,675 shares every 14 days since june, before which he sold 3,675 shares since january.
None of this is abnormal.

regarding shorting stocks..not everyone can win right?
There is a role for this in any free market.
We can't hand out participation trophy's to everyone because this is a large problem in our entire society.
The gov't got involved in picking the winner's and loser's in a big way starting in 2007 but has done it for many decades.
When the SEC actually enforces it's own rules and has better ones to track the bullshit that is allowed in all markets we will be fine.
Look who runs it now. When shrub installed Chris Cox at SEC it was over. What little they did was removed and it became a bigger free-for-all

It is MUCH easier to prosecute that in non-US courts. it has to be 100% without any doubt guilty with SEC law(s). The SEC has done NOTHING after shrub put in Chris Cox.
Didn't do much before that but it was made ineffective by that appointment.

Exclusive: Conservative Group 'Bikers for Trump' Submits Evidence of Broward County Ballot Tampering to Florida AG Pam Bondi
Chris Cox of Bikers for Trump had a lawyer submit a letter containing evidence of ballot tampering in Broward County to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Cox exclusively told The Gateway Pundit that if they do not receive a satisfactory response in a reasonable amount of time he is willing to file a lawsuit.
According to the letter sent by Cox's lawyer Derek A. Schwartz, while outside the Broward Supervisor of Elections main office, Cox and other members of Bikers for Trump learned of twelve colored plastic zip tie tags that were each stamped with a seven digit serial code.
"The tags were discovered by other citizens on the ground near the loading dock area outside the BSOE building," the letter explains. He then went on to provide the serial numbers and the color of the tags.
"It is my client's understanding and belief that these tags may have been used by the BSOE to secure and seal ballot boxes and/or bags on the night of the election prior to transporting the ballots to the BSOE office. Based on where these tags were found, my client believes these tags were likely illegally removed from the ballot boxes and bags prior to being delivered to the BSOE's office," the letter continues.
Schwartz goes on to state that "if these tags were used to seal ballot boxes and bags and improperly removed, then the chain of custody of the ballots in the boxes and bags was broken and the ballots were subject to tampering and manipulation."

Schwartz goes on to state that "if these tags were used to seal ballot boxes and bags and improperly removed, then the chain of custody of the ballots in the boxes and bags was broken and the ballots were subject to tampering and manipulation."
It goes on to request that Bondi's office immediately determine if any of the tags were used to secure ballot containers, that they find out who removed them, as well as who authorized the removal. The letter additionally requests information about how many ballots were related to the tags, what the serial numbers correspond with and which polling locations they came from.
"My client believes that each ballot box or bag can hold up to 2,500 ballots. Based on having 15 tags, that could mean that approximately 37,500 ballots have been tampered with," the letter states.
Cox told The Gateway Pundit that they are attempting to go through the proper channels to get answers and hopes not to have to resort to a lawsuit.

Masking the stock options they were printing and handing out. Execs are supposed to have a plan to or when they own a big chunk of stock. See rule 10b5-1 (its a total farce)
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/r/rule-10b5-1.asp
The scam here is the "I only take $1 for salary" and then they backdate options and sell them under the cover of the aforementioned plan requuired by SEC.
Bottom line: these rules have always existed however the last hope of any enforcement was removed when Chris Cox was installed into SEC. Rumor was he was installed to facilitate Enron and then use that as the template going forward.

Professor found guilty of spraying fake blood at NRA lobbyist's home
A sociology professor from Nebraska who was accused of spraying fake blood on the steps of a National Rifle Association lobbyist's home in January was convicted Monday of misdemeanor destruction of property.
Patricia Hill, a University of Nebraska-Lincoln faculty member, was ordered to pay a $500 fine and stay away from lobbyist Chris Cox after she vandalized his home in Alexandria, Va.
She already had a temporary restraining order that prohibits her from going near Cox's wife's business or the NRA offices in Virginia and Washington, D.C.
The court also issued Hill a warrant for an additional vandalism charge regarding a similar incident in October.
Wyatt Delaney, a security guard who testified in court, said he recognized the professor from a similar incident last year. He described the spray she used on Cox's home as a "red, gel-like substance."
"The motive here is that Mr. Cox works for the NRA; she doesn't like that. That's fine. She can exercise her First Amendment right," Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Maana Parcham said, according to the Washington Post, adding that Hill crossed a line when she decided to vandalize the home.

Top NRA official warns: Democrats are 'on fire right now'
by Caitlin Yilek

A top official at the National Rifle Association warned Republicans of what's at stake if Democrats flip the House in the 2018 midterms.
Chris Cox, the chief of the NRA's legislative-lobbying arm, said Saturday at the group's annual convention in Dallas that "everything will be on the table" if Republicans lose control of the House.
"If we lose Congress and the White House, we don't have to guess what they'll do to our rights - they're already openly calling for a complete repeal of the Second Amendment," Cox said, according to the Washington Times.

Most surprisingly for gun rights proponents, Mr Trump said he supported giving law enforcement the ability to "take the guns first, go through due process second".
But Chris Cox, the NRA's chief lobbyist, suggested the President had reversed his position following a White House meeting, and wanted "safe schools, mental health reform and to keep guns away from dangerous people".

Crime Subcommittee to Hold Hearing on Sex Trafficking and Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act
Email
Washington, D.C. - On Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., the Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Investigations Subcommittee will hold a hearing titled, "Online Sex Trafficking and the Communications Decency Act."
In recent years, there has been a spate of criminal and civil litigation against Backpage.com, a website that offers classified listings, including an extensive adult services section in which minors and women forced into prostitution are advertised. Backpage.com is considered the leading online marketplace for commercial sex and operates in 97 countries. At one point, Backpage.com was involved in 73% of all child trafficking reports that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children receives from the general public. Despite several lawsuits, Backpage.com has not yet been held liable criminally or civilly and the online website asserts it has immunity under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.
At the hearing, members will examine court interpretations about the breadth of the Communications Decency Act and its effect on online sex trafficking, as well as potential consequences of amending Section 230.
Witnesses for the hearing are:
The Honorable Chris Cox, President, Morgan Lewis Consulting
Mr. Jeff Kosseff, Assistant Professor, United States Naval Academy
Ms. Mary G. Leary, Professor of Law, Catholic University Columbus School of Law
Mr. Evan Engstrom, Executive Director, Engine
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Investigations Subcommittee Chairman Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.) issued the statements below in advance of this hearing.
