Imran Khan Approaches IHC For Pre-Arrest Bail
On Aug 22, 2022
https://nation.com.pk/2022/08/22/imran-khan-approaches-ihc-for-pre-arrest-bail/
PTI Chairman Imran Khan filed on Monday a pre-arrest bail application in the Islamabad High Court to avoid arrest in a terror case filed against him last (Sunday) night.
PTI lawyer Faisal Chaudhry and Babar Awan filed the plea on the former PM's behalf, who maintained in the plea that he is ready to appear before the court whenever summoned.
The plea states that Imran Khan has no criminal record from the past and has never been convicted for any offence.
A first information report (FIR) was registered against former prime minister Khan under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) for threatening an additional sessions judge and senior police officers of the Islamabad Police at a rally in the federal capital's F-9 Park.
Interior ministry seeks permission for arrest from PM
Meanwhile, the interior ministry has asked written permission from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's office to arrest Khan following the registration of the case.
According to sources, the PTI chairman has left his Bani Gala residence to avoid arrest. It is being reported that he may have left for Lahore or Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
However, PTI leader Faisal Vawda said that Khan is still at Bani Gala.
According to reports, the interior ministry has sought written permission from PM Office for the arrest of the PTI chair. Sources said the arrest will be made with the consensus of all parties in the ruling alliance.
Meanwhile, PPP leader and former president Asif Ali Zardari has opposed the arrest of Imran Khan. He believes that the arrest will cause political damage to the ruling alliance.
On the other hand, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) President Maulana Fazlur Rehman did not give a clear viewpoint on Imran Khan's arrest as PTI leader Murad Saeed claimed on Sunday night that the arrest warrants for Imran Khan had been issued.
Police deployed around Bani Gala
Additional police force has been deployed outside Imran Khan's Bani Gala residence and the road leading to his residence has also been closed for unauthorized people, allowing only people close to him and the residents of the area to enter, sources told hours after the registration of the case.
According to the reports, it is not yet decided whether Imran Khan would be arrested or put under house arrest, sources engaged in sketching the strategy of the operation told.
"Negotiations with Imran Khan are under way, as the PTI leader wants to avoid arrest or house arrest," added the sources, saying that the authorities have multiple plans to handle the situation with the help of law-enforcement agencies, but were waiting for a green signal from the quarters concerned.
"Imran Khan is seeking the facility to approach the higher judiciary for obtaining relief, but he will have to surrender before the police as the first step," the sources added.
Case registered against Imran Khan
The FIR registered against Khan states that he threatened Additional Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry and police officers at a rally in F-9 Park to "terrorize" police officials and judiciary. The main aim of the intimidation was to prevent the police officers and judiciary from carrying out their legal obligations, says the FIR.
The FIR was registered on the complaint of Magistrate Ali Javed in Islamabad's Margalla Police Station under Section 7 of ATA.
The FIR states that the PTI chairman threatened Additional Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry and police officers at a rally in F-9 Park to "terrorise" police officials and judiciary. The main aim of the intimidation was to prevent the police officers and judiciary from carrying out their legal obligations, says the FIR.

Interesting. What are they scared of?
Wonder what they got wind of?
?
Last Minute!
Thinking about the issue of half-siblings?
As with cousins if the parent[s] which are not in common resemble each other then the cousins can seem almost siblings.
I would assume that's the same with half brother / sister.
For example James Goldsmith and the constellation of Diana and Jemima?
Say James picks the same kind of woman; and had a taste for a woman who looks like Diana's mother? Maybe his wife looks the same; so the 1/2 siblings would look more like siblings?
Also think: There's likely an awful lot of inbreeding among the "3 families"
I looked into "Imran" Awan's tribe background. If you go back enough generations, since that tribe is of a royal line "Muhomid" you'll find he's supposedly related to Queen of England [barring the fact her genealogy is a fraud] But theoretically they are related biologically.
Who's to say all these families haven't been keeping contact?
Especially when you factor in the massive falsification of historical [accepted] chronology.
"Awan" is a very common name there, but it's one tribe
Imran Khan just happens to have a lawyer called Babar Awan.

Ruling family's pillars to fall soon: Awan
By Our CorrespondentPublished: July 19, 2017

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Babar Awan has said that for the first time in the history of Pakistan, the ruling family is undergoing accountability.
"Consider Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif disqualified in the light of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report ... only the Supreme Court's verdict is awaited," said Awan at a press conference on Tuesday.
"The countdown has begun in Panama case," he said. "The King of Patwaris" and "culprits of Model Town carnage" were about to be caught, he said, adding that the PM had failed to respond to the 15 questions asked by the Panamagate JIT.
By the Model Tow carnage, Awan meant the June 17, 2013 killing of 14 Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers in a police crackdown outside Minhajul Quran's Secretariat in Lahore's Model Town area. The PAT and the PTI believe justice was not delivered.
Babar Awan set to join PTI today
Awan demanded that "Godfather one" and "Godfather two" should immediately tender their resignations as not much time was left for them after the JIT report. He was possibly referring to PM Nawaz and Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
He claimed that the court would soon announce its verdict in the Panama case and the "ruling family's big pillars will fall in front of justice".
The noted lawyer said that the ruling family was not facing accountability due to the PTI's petition, emphasizing that the family was already involved in an international corruption scandal and it was just a matter of time before their illegal activities surfaced.
Court dismisses PTI plea to disqualify Shehbaz Sharif
He taunted Nawaz, saying that he would be the only prime minister in the world who had been employed in a foreign company on a paltry salary of a few thousand bucks, and asking a foreign company to provide him residence.
The new PTI entrant said that 'cronies' of the Sharif family had said that PM Nawaz's life was like an open book, adding that the JIT had opened only a few pages of this book and found mega corruption scandals.
On the occasion, senior PTI leader Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar also took the ruling family to task.
"Politics of confrontation of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is a threat to democracy," he said, adding that the PML-N must give all evidence in court and get a clean chit if they were innocent.
He said the JIT report and the apex court's comments depicted corruption of rulers. He opined that the rulers should step down because they had lost the legitimacy to remain in power.
"Rulers will not be allowed to hide corruption in the guise of democracy," he added.
Sarwar spoke high of PTI chief Imran Khan, saying he would solve the longstanding problems of inflation, unemployment and corruption after coming into power.
"Strength of democracy lies in vibrant and inclusive accountability," he said, adding that the people of Pakistan were losing their interest in the system due to the misdeeds of rulers.
Sarwar vowed to stand by the state institutions, especially the Supreme Court.
