Clinton/Soros 'Anti-Corruption' Unit Head In Ukraine Fired - Admitted On Tape Working Against Trump

I met with Artem Sytnyk in 2015 as the new head of the Ukrainian 'National Anti-Corruption Bureau' (NABU) in Kyiv. At the time I was a national security columnist for The Washington Times.

Sytnyk gave me a song and dance about fighting corruption in Ukraine.

Sometime later, the New York Times published the infamous 'black ledger' allegedly showing 'off-the-books' payments to Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort.

I called NABU the next morning and asked about the origin of the 'black ledger', that was reportedly released by NABU to the press. I was told by the NABU spokesman, "We don't know where it came from. They just took it off the internet." I wrote about this at the time prior to the 2016 election.

Little did I know that Sytnyk was at the time working actively with the Hillary Clinton campaign to 'release dirt' (fake dirt) on Trump. Manafort was forced to resign and was later prosecuted for tax crimes. The ledger was eventually admitted to be a hoax.

The Blaze later released audio tape of Sytnyk bragging about working with Clinton against Trump. CDMedia also reported Sytnyk was allegedly directed by then Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch in May of 2020 to support Hillary Clinton.

The Ukrainian parliament subsequently passed legislation declaring NABU unconstitutional. It was a Soros/cabal construct set up completely outside Ukrainian law.

The purpose of NABU all along was a place the cabal could send investigations by Ukrainian authorities into the Biden Crime Family and US national security apparatus, to be deep sixed instead of carried out to completion and embarrass the Deep State.

Today, at the end of Sytnyk's term, he was fired. It is unclear if a successor will be appointed at this time.

The American people need to know the Ukrainian government actively worked to remove a sitting U.S. president, and to stop Trump from being elected in the first place.

Nov 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian members of parliament have demanded the presidents of Ukraine and the United States, Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump, investigate suspicions of the legalization of $7.4 billion by the "family" of ex-President Viktor Yanukovych through the American investment fund Franklin Templeton Investments, which they said has ties to the U.S. Democratic Party.


At a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine agency on Wednesday, MP Andriy Derkach announced that deputies have received new materials from investigative journalists about international corruption and the participation of Ukrainian officials in it.

"Last week, November 14, the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO), unnoticed by the media, announced a new suspicion to the notorious owner of Burisma, ex-Ecology Minister Zlochevsky. According to the suspicion, the Yanukovych family is suspected, in particular, with legalizing (laundering) of criminally obtained income through Franklin Templeton Investments, an investment fund carrying out purchases of external government loan bonds totaling $7.4 billion," Derkach said.

With reference to the investigation, he emphasized: it was money criminally obtained by the "family" of Yanukovych and invested in the purchase of Ukrainian debt in 2013-2014.

For his part, MP Oleksandr Dubinsky from the Servant of the People faction said that according to investigators, "the Yanukovych 'family' illegally obtained $7.4 billion and laundered the funds through an investment fund close to some representatives of the U.S. Democratic Party in the form of external government loan bonds."

Meanwhile, Derkach said that several facts indicate Franklin Templeton Investments' relationship with the U.S. Democratic Party.

"The son of Templeton's founder, John Templeton Jr., was one of President Obama's major campaign donors. Another fund-related character is Thomas Donilon. Managing Director of BlackRock Investment Institute, shareholder Franklin Templeton Investments, which has the largest share in the fund. It is noteworthy that he previously was Obama's national security advisor," Derkach said.

The MP said that the presidents of Ukraine and the United States should combine the efforts of the two countries to establish facts of corruption and money laundering with the participation of citizens of both countries.

"President Zelensky must pick up the phone, dial Trump, ask for help and cooperation in the fight against corruption and fly to Washington. The issue of combating international corruption in Ukraine with the participation of citizens, businessmen and U.S. officials should become a key during the meeting of the two presidents," he said.

Derkach said as a result of the meeting, it is necessary to build interaction between the Ukrainian investigating authorities and the U.S. Department of Justice to obtain information about the organizers of the bond issue, clients and beneficiaries of investment funds for each purchase, interrogate fund officials, etc.

As reported, on October 9, 2019, Derkach published official correspondence between NABU and the U.S. Embassy, according to which the first deputy of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), Gizo Uglava, through his assistant Polina Chyzh, for a long time provided the U.S. Embassy with information that negatively affected the course of events in Ukraine and the United States.

Derkach said Chyzh received instructions from the representative of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine Hanna Emelyanova to provide information on the case involving Zlochevsky.

Derkach also announced the amount of money transferred to representatives of the Burisma Group, including Hunter Biden. According to documents, in general, in favor of Hunter Biden, Alexander Kwasniewski, Alan Apter and Devon Archer, Burisma paid about $16.5 million.

According to Derkach, ex-Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin repeatedly appealed to the NABU Director Artem Sytnyk in the framework of criminal proceedings for Burisma, but constantly received formal responses. The activities of Shokin, according to the MP, irritated then U.S. Vice President Joe Biden during his fifth visit to Kyiv in two years. The visit on December 7-8, 2015, was devoted to solving the issue of Shokin's resignation for the affairs of Zlochevsky and Burisma, he said.

"The subject of pressure was the $1 billion credit guarantee that the United States should have provided to Ukraine: Biden himself acknowledged the pressure in his speech to the U.S. Foreign Relations Council in January 2018," Derkach said.

The initial bribe to close the case against Burisma was $50 million, not $6 million, former senior prosecutor of the Ukraine's Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) Kostiantyn Kulyk said on Monday at a press conference at Interfax Ukraine.

Kulyk said Burisma officials were recently detained while transferring a $6 million bribe to an agent of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine to close the Burisma case.

"The initial amount of the bribe was not $6 million. The size of the bribe was $50 million," he said, showing the relevant documents.

Kulyk said Burisma lawyer Andriy Kich was detained during the bribe attempt.

"Burisma representatives in 2019 delegated this task to Kich, according to the PGO. I have in my hands a report from the prosecutor from my group that investigated the Burisma case. As follows from the report, Burisma and the Deputy Prosecutor General Yenin tried to influence the closure of the case," Kulyk said.

Member of Parliament Andriy Derkach said of Yenin: "Poroshenko arranged for Yenin to become Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs under (President Volodymyr) Zelensky to control topics sensitive to Poroshenko, (former U.S. Vice President Joe) Biden and American (Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs since September 4, 2018) George Kent."

"Yenin continues to this day to communicate with George Kent, reporting weekly over the telephone about the situation," Derkach said.

In August 2019, Kulyk said, he received information that Zlochevsky allocated $ 50 million to close criminal cases related to the activities of Burisma. The main requirements are to close criminal cases involving Burisma."

"I prepared a corresponding report and reported to the prosecutor general about the need to document an attempt to give a bribe. Here is this report," Kulyk said, showing a copy of the document.

The key question, according to Kulyk, is how such a large amount of funds could be transferred.

"You can imagine the volume of notes in the amount of $50 million. It is clear that such a bribe was impossible to give in cash. Therefore, we turned to Ukraine's SBU State Security Service for help in creating a legendary enterprise, which should have been credited. But PGO leadership changed. (Ruslan) Riaboshapka replaced (Yuriy) Lutsenko (as Prosecutor General). Talk about a $50-million bribe stopped after that, and Riaboshapka said that there was no case involving Burisma," Kulyk said.

"One of the episodes of official suspicion of Zlochevsky, case No. 1590, which supposedly was supposed to be closed for $6 million, includes facts of Zlochevsky's complicity in money laundering using Burisma, as well as Rosemont Seneca Boa of Devon Archer from the Biden family's orbit. It was $50 million to close not only Zlochevsky's case, but also against a company close to former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden When Burisma representatives were detained giving a $6 million bribe, Rosemont Seneca Boa, and, accordingly, payments to Biden in the case already did not appear. Sytnyk personally confirmed this at his recent press conference," Kulyk said.

Derkach claimed "the Bidens were suspicious, but disappeared along the way, together with another $44 million dollars, which was the main part of the bribe."

"Everyone made good money. Even stranger is the absence of Biden's name in the case in which he definitely appears, according to NABU Director (Artem) Sytnyk, who does not want to interfere in international political processes. The cynicism of the proposal is astounding. It was namely Sytnyk who interfered in the 2016 U.S. presidential election using fakes from the so-called 'black ledger' incriminating Trump's campaign manager Paul Manafort," Derkach said.

As reported, on June 12, a former official, with the assistance of a State Fiscal Service (SFS) official attempted to transfer $6 million of undue profit to Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Head Nazar Kholodnytsky and top NABU officials. Mykola Illiashenko, First Deputy Head of Kyiv's Tax Service and Burisma's lawyer Andriy Kich were caught red-handed and arrested.

The Ukranian lawmaker who alleged that documents were illegally released named Artem Sytnyk and Serhiy Leshchenko as the people who released them. As far as whether or not the White House (Obama) knew, I'd say yes since they both apparently visited the WH; Leschenko in December 2015 with two other people and Sytnyk in January 2016 with six other people.

Sytnyk's WH meeting included the DOJ's Regional Director for Eurasia from the Office of Prosecutorial Development and Training, Catherine Newcombe. Also included was Jeffrey Cole, Resident Legal Advisor US Embassy in Ukraine, a federal prosecutor. (To be fair, I can't confirm that it was THIS Jeff Cole, but in context, it's the one who makes sense.) Also listed as a meeting participant is Andriy Telizhenko, the same guy that Giuliani is working with to unravel this mess.

Syntyk's meeting was hosted by Eric Ciaramella. Ciaramella was McMaster's assistant (National Security Council) and was accused of being a leaker.

Ukrainian Officials Uncover $6 Million Bribe Offer To End Probe Of Burisma Founder

Ukrainian officials announced Saturday they intercepted a $6 million bribe offered to stop an investigation into the founder of Burisma Holdings, the energy firm that had Hunter Biden as a board member until 2019. Artem Sytnyk, the head of Ukraine's national anti-corruption bureau (NABU), said at a press conference in Kyiv that $6 million in cash was recovered during a sting operation on Friday. He said that three people were detained in the operation, including a Burisma employee and a current and former Ukrainian tax official, according to Reuters. Sytnyk said that $5 million in bribe money was offered to NABU officials, and another $1 million was reserved for a middleman who brokered the deal. It is the largest bribe attempt uncovered in Ukraine's history, he said

The bribe was allegedly offered to end an investigation into Mykola Zlochevsky, a former Ukrainian ecology minister who owns Burisma. Zlochevsky has been under investigation since 2013 for allegedly embezzling funds from a loan from the National Bank of Ukraine. Burisma tapped Hunter Biden in April 2014 to serve on the company's board of directors as part of a broad strategy to burnish the company's reputation amid the allegations surrounding Zlochevsky. Burisma also hired a Washington, D.C.-based consulting firm, Blue Star Strategies, to lobby the State Department and Congress on its behalf. Hunter Biden's position on the Burisma board has come under scrutiny given Joe Biden's role in the Obama administration as the chief liaison to Ukraine.

President Donald Trump and his allies have accused Joe Biden of forcing the firing of a Ukrainian prosecutor in 2016 in order to stop an investigation into Burisma. Biden bragged during a speech in January 2018 that he forced former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to fire the prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, by threatening to withhold $1 billion in loan assistance to Ukraine. Biden has denied intervening to help Burisma or his son, saying that he and other Western leaders wanted Shokin removed from office for failing to investigate corruption cases. One NABU official said Saturday that there is no link between the Bidens and the bribe offer.

"Let's put an end to this once and for all," he said. "Biden Jr. and Biden Sr. do not appear in this particular proceeding," he said. Sytnyk said the case had no political subtext. The House of Representatives impeached Trump on Dec. 18 on charges the he improperly pressured current Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate whether Biden intervened to help Burisma. The Senate acquitted Trump on Feb. 5. Burisma denied taking part in the attempted bribe of NABU. "The Burisma Group company and its management have nothing to do with the report of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and some media outlets about participating in illegal actions," the company said in a statement to The Washington Post. "The company is operating exclusively within the framework of the current legislation, and it is one of the largest taxpayers and defends the interests of energy independence of Ukraine."

4/ Shokin was retired prior to regime change. He was called out of retirement by incoming President Poroshenko in summer 2014 as a Deputy Prosecutor General as part of Poroshenko's promise to clean up corruption.

5/ Shokin was appointed Prosecutor General in Feb 2015, after a controversy about alleged mishandling of a case in London UK in which funds belonging to Burisma owner Zlochevsky, which had been frozen by UK fraud prosecutor, had been released. A complicated sub-story.

6/ also in Feb 2015, David Sakvarelidze, an out-of-office Georgian official and Biden hanger-on who was allied with Mikheil Saakashvili, former Georgian president, another Biden hanger-on, was installed as a Deputy Prosecutor General. Shokin later got to hate Sakvaelidze.

7/ western countries who were financing Ukraine required that they create several new anti-corruption organizations, independent of Prosecutor General: a) an anti-corruption investigation office (NABU), which Shokin helped set up in summer 2015. Its first director, Artem Sytnyk,

2018:Kostiantyn Kulyk, deputy head of the Prosecutor General's International Legal Cooperation Department of Ukraine, attempted to get visas to Washington from the U.S. Embassy in Kiev to deliver their evidence of all the previous corruption involving Soros and the Obama administration. However, the ambassador had not given the visas.Kulyk has said:

Ukrainian authorities gathered evidence that money paid to an American Democrat allegedly was hidden by Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) during the 2016 election under pressure from U.S. officials. Ukrainian news is reporting on former U.S. ambassador Marie Yovanovich's ties into the corruption spearheaded by Vice President Joe Biden in an attempt to shield his son, Hunter, from investigations into their economic crimes and other illegal activities. "Former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovich along with U.S. charge d'Affaires in Ukraine George Kent, and FBI Special Representative for Eastern Europe Karen Greenway have blocked the return of funds stolen by the Yanukovych regime to Ukraine in the amount of the country's annual budget.

This was announced at the same press conference in which the Biden/Porosheko call was played, in the Interfax-Ukraine news agency by the ex-prosecutor Konstantin Kulik, who investigated the crimes of the Yanukovych regime in 2016-2019. According to him, the threat to the investigation has existed since 2014, and was associated with opposition from representatives of the United States Embassy in Ukraine. "This is the former ambassador Marie Yovanovich, U.S. Chargé d' Affaires in Ukraine George E. Kent and the special representative of the FBI in Eastern Europe, Karen Greenway, who led the activities of the FBI investigators sent to the US Embassy in Ukraine. One of the group's tasks was to block Ukraine's return of funds stolen under the Yanukovych regime in the amount of the annual budget, which put the state in a difficult position," Kulik said. According to him, Ryaboshapka stopped the execution of international orders on legal assistance and other investigative and procedural actions. "He was blocked from obtaining a court decision on disclosing bank secrecy about the movement of funds in the accounts of ROSEMONT SENECA BOHAI LLC, the interrogation of ex-ambassador Jovanovic, etc., " said Kulik. The vote came a day after Zelenskiy jettisoned most of his cabinet, including the prime minister.

The reshuffle dragged down bonds on Thursday, sparked by worries about the pace of reforms and Ukraine's ability to seal an International Monetary Fund deal that is seen as key to investor confidence.

"My personal opinion is very simple: if there are no results - the person should not remain in their job," Zelenskiy was quoted by Interfax Ukraine as saying before the vote.

Lawmakers from various parties criticised Ryaboshapka for not prosecuting cases pro-actively enough, including against the circle of previous President Petro Poroshenko.

One opposition lawmaker said removing Ryaboshapka would pave the way for an independent investigation into Burisma, the energy company where Hunter Biden used to be a board member.

Zelenskiy was elected by a landslide last year but his ratings have sagged in part because of a perception that his government was not doing enough to tackle high-level corruption.

Ryaboshapka said lawmakers got rid of him because he had pushed genuine reform for the first time since Ukraine's independence in 1991, in a way that threatened their interests.

"For 28 years, the Prosecutor General's Office was an instrument of pressure and political repression," he said.

"For 28 years, the prosecutor's office was a source of personal enrichment for the elite and, as a result, the oligarchs in prosecutors' uniforms."

Zelenskiy's party has suggested one of their lawmakers, Serhii Ionushas, as Ryaboshapka's replacement. The president was a comic actor before entering politics, and Ionushas was a lawyer whose company did work for Zelenskiy's production studio.

Following Ryaboshapka's exit, Artem Sytnyk, the head of the Western-backed National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, could be next in the firing line.

Morgan Stanley's Alina Slyusarchuk and Simon Waever on Thursday flagged the "increased risks to reform momentum, IMF cooperation and the fiscal balance," from the reshuffle.

"…the pressure on the Prosecutor General Ryaboshapka and the Head of the NABU Sytnyk might be interpreted as a step back for the anti-corruption efforts," they wrote in a note to clients, downgrading their stance on the country's hard-currency debt to "dislike".

The Party of Regions accountant reached by Manafort's team told them that the black ledger was a "copy of a document that did not exist" and it "was not even [the accountant's own] handwriting," Gates told the prosecutors.

Gates' account to prosecutors closely matches what several Ukrainian officials have said for more than a year.

Ukraine's Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor Nazar Kholodnytskyy told me last spring that he believed the black ledger was not a contemporaneous document, and likely manufactured after the fact.

"It was not to be considered a document of Manafort," Kholodnytskyy said in an interview. "It was not authenticated. And at that time it should not be used in any way to bring accusations against anybody."

Likewise, one of Gates' and Manafort's Ukrainian business partners, Konstantin Kilimnik, who is now indicted in the same case as Manafort but remain at large, wrote a senior U.S. State Department official in summer 2016 that the black ledger did not match actual payments made to Manafort's firm.

"I have some questions about this black cash stuff because those published records do not make sense," Kilimnik wrote the State official in August 2016. "The time frame doesn't match anything related to payments made to Manafort. ... It does not match my records. All fees Manafort got were wires, not cash."

In December 2018, a Ukrainian court ruled that two of that country's government officials - member of parliament Sergey Leschenko and Artem Sytnyk, the head of the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine - illegally interfered in the 2016 U.S. election by publicizing the black ledger evidence.

While that ruling has been overturned on a technicality, the role of Sytnyk and Leschenko in pushing the black ledger story remains true.

In an interview last summer, Leschenko said he first received part of the black ledger when it was sent to him anonymously in February 2016, but it made no mention of Manafort. Months later, in August 2016, more of the ledger became public, including the alleged Manafort payments.

Leschenko said he decided to publicize the information after confirming a few of the transactions likely occurred or matched known payments.

But Leschenko told me he never believed the black ledger could be used as court evidence because it couldn't be proved beyond a reasonable doubt that it was authentic, given its mysterious appearance during the 2016 election.

"The black ledger is an unofficial document," Leschenko told me. "And the black ledger was not used as official evidence in criminal investigations because you know in criminal investigations all proof has to be beyond a reasonable doubt. And the black ledger is not a sample of such proof because we don't know the nature of such document."

In the end, the black ledger did prompt the discovery of real financial transactions and real crimes by Manafort, which ultimately led to his conviction.

But its uncertain origins raise troubling questions about election meddling and what constitutes real evidence worthy of starting an American investigation.

The Ukranian lawmaker who alleged that documents were illegally released named Artem Sytnyk and Serhiy Leshchenko as the people who released them. As far as whether or not the White House (Obama) knew, I'd say yes since they both apparently visited the WH; Leschenko in December 2015 with two other people and Sytnyk in January 2016 with six other people.

Sytnyk's WH meeting included the DOJ's Regional Director for Eurasia from the Office of Prosecutorial Development and Training, Catherine Newcombe. Also included was Jeffrey Cole, Resident Legal Advisor US Embassy in Ukraine, a federal prosecutor. (To be fair, I can't confirm that it was THIS Jeff Cole, but in context, it's the one who makes sense.) Also listed as a meeting participant is Andriy Telizhenko, the same guy that Giuliani is working with to unravel this mess.

Syntyk's meeting was hosted by Eric Ciaramella. Ciaramella was McMaster's assistant (National Security Council) and was accused of being a leaker.

A secret meeting at the White House. A NY Times story that never ran. A concern about Hunter Biden and Burisma. At the heart of it all is the alleged whistleblower, Eric Ciaramella.

There's blowback that comes from invoking the name of the alleged Ukrainian whistleblower, Eric Ciaramella. Doing so will get you silenced by YouTube, banned by Facebook, fired from Fox News, or scolded by Adam Schiff. At NOQ Report, we believe the truth is the truth. Hiding it only diminishes discourse; in today's contentious political atmosphere, discourse is the last thing that needs to be diminished.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham delivered a blockbuster segment that brought old conspiracy theories into the realm of verified facts surrounding the Obama White House, Hunter Biden, Burisma, Ukrainian officials, and a suppressed NY Times story. And at the center of it all is Ciaramella who is quickly proving to be much more than a guy who (allegedly) blew the whistle about Ukraine. It would seem he's been involved since well before President Trump ever spoke to Ukrainian President Zelensky, which lends credence to my speculation that his complaint is as much (or more) about protecting himself as it is about protecting Joe Biden and taking down President Trump. Here's the report by Ingraham followed by analysis:

Ingraham, like all Fox News employees, is forbidden from even saying Eric Ciaramella's name. Her segment was still easy to follow, but here's a breakdown with commentary about what was revealed, and we'll even insert the appropriate name.

A White House meeting that Ciaramella may have had a hand in setting up on January 19, 2016, included Ukrainian prosecutors. They wanted to move forward with investigations into Burisma, the energy company that had Joe Biden's son, Hunter, on their board. According to White House logs, Ciaramella signed in several who likely attended the meeting, including Jeffrey Cole, Anna Iemelianova, Nazar Kholodnitsky, Catherine Newcombe, Svitlana Pardus, David Sakvarelidze, Artem Sytnyk, Andriy Telizhenko, and Andris Razans.

NY Times reporter Ken Vogel, who has long-said there is more to the Burisma-Biden story than we're being told, inquired with the Department of Justice regarding the meeting.

In the email, Vogel wrote, "We are going to report that [State Department official] Elizabeth Zentos attended a meeting at the White House on 1/19/2016 with Ukrainian prosecutors and embassy officials as well as ... Eric Ciaramella from the NSC ... the subjects discussed included efforts within the United State government to support prosecutions, in Ukraine and the United Kingdom, of Burisma Holdings, ... and concerns that Hunter Biden's position with the company could complicate such efforts."

But the story never ran. Whatever Vogel had discovered, it either turned out to be nothing (unlikely since he started the email by stating, "We are going to report that...") or it was quashed by the editors. Ukrainian oligarch Oleksandr Onyshchenko was arrested in Germany on Nov 29th as he prepared to travel to the United States to testify regarding Biden family corruption in Ukraine. Artem Sytnyk, the head of NABU, is being investigated in Ukraine for colluding with the Democratic Party and the Hillary Clinton campaign in 2016. Audio tapes were recently released where Sytnyk is heard bragging about his cooperation with the Clinton campaign during the election. Sytnyk's organization released the infamous 'black ledger' which put in motion the effort to jail previous Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort. The 'black ledger' is now considered to be manufactured and not authentic.

Onyshchenko fled Ukraine in 2016 after corruption charges were filed against him via former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko after Onyshchenko leaked audio tapes confirming Poroshenko's own corruption.

Onyshchenko informed CD Media he had been offered a deal to return to Ukraine and avoiding jail time if he would only admit his guilt. He refused this deal he told CD Media recently in Germany.

According to the head of NABU Artyom Sytnik, Onishchenko should have been extradited to Ukraine from Spain, where he was hiding from the investigation, in December. Sytnik noted that the ex-people's deputy lost all the lawsuits in Spain and there is a decision on his extradition to Ukraine, wrote RBC Ukraine.

Later, Onishchenko himself announced that he plans to return to Ukraine in December. As a confirmation, he provided a ticket for the Ryanair flight on December 13 from Barcelona to Kiev.

When contacted, Rudy Giuliani's office provided the following quote from the Mayor, "It strikes me as extremely suspicious."

KYIV. Nov 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian members of parliament have demanded the presidents of Ukraine and the United States, Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump, investigate suspicions of the legalization of $7.4 billion by the "family" of ex-President Viktor Yanukovych through the American investment fund Franklin Templeton Investments, which they said has ties to the U.S. Democratic Party.

At a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine agency on Wednesday, MP Andriy Derkach announced that deputies have received new materials from investigative journalists about international corruption and the participation of Ukrainian officials in it.

"Last week, November 14, the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO), unnoticed by the media, announced a new suspicion to the notorious owner of Burisma, ex-Ecology Minister Zlochevsky. According to the suspicion, the Yanukovych family is suspected, in particular, with legalizing (laundering) of criminally obtained income through Franklin Templeton Investments, an investment fund carrying out purchases of external government loan bonds totaling $7.4 billion," Derkach said.

With reference to the investigation, he emphasized: it was money criminally obtained by the "family" of Yanukovych and invested in the purchase of Ukrainian debt in 2013-2014.

For his part, MP Oleksandr Dubinsky from the Servant of the People faction said that according to investigators, "the Yanukovych 'family' illegally obtained $7.4 billion and laundered the funds through an investment fund close to some representatives of the U.S. Democratic Party in the form of external government loan bonds."

Meanwhile, Derkach said that several facts indicate Franklin Templeton Investments' relationship with the U.S. Democratic Party.

"The son of Templeton's founder, John Templeton Jr., was one of President Obama's major campaign donors. Another fund-related character is Thomas Donilon. Managing Director of BlackRock Investment Institute, shareholder Franklin Templeton Investments, which has the largest share in the fund. It is noteworthy that he previously was Obama's national security advisor," Derkach said.

The MP said that the presidents of Ukraine and the United States should combine the efforts of the two countries to establish facts of corruption and money laundering with the participation of citizens of both countries.

"President Zelensky must pick up the phone, dial Trump, ask for help and cooperation in the fight against corruption and fly to Washington.
