Dan Strauss
Dan Strauss is an American politician who serves on the Seattle City Council from District 6. A native of Seattle's Ballard neighborhood, he previously worked as an aide to local politicians, including Seattle councilmember Sally Bagshaw.
Strauss was born in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle to a Jewish family of social workers and graduated from Nathan Hale High School.[2][3] He participated in the Northwest Youth Corps and local search and rescue groups in high school and the National Civilian Community Corps in college.[4] Strauss graduated with a degree in political science from Whittier College, where he was elected student body president, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Oregon in 2012.[4][1] As a graduate student, he also worked as a policy intern for Oregon state representative Nancy Nathanson.[5]
After graduating from college, Strauss returned to Seattle and worked as an aide to several local politicians. He was part of the campaign team for Snohomish County councilman Dave Somers during his 2013 reelection. He then worked as a legislative assistant for State Senator David Frockt.[1] Strauss worked for the Alliance for Gun Responsibility during their successful campaign on Initiative 1491, which expanded gun safety protections.[4] From 2017 to 2019, he served as a legislative assistant to Seattle councilmember Sally Bagshaw.[1]
Strauss announced his candidacy for the District 6 seat in February 2019, shortly before incumbent councilmember Mike O'Brien announced that he would not seek re-election.[6] He finished first out of 13 candidates in the primary election, with 34 percent of the vote, and advanced to the general election alongside former city councilmember Heidi Wills.[3] Strauss was endorsed by the King County Labor Council and The Stranger, while Wills earned the support of the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Amazon.[3][7] He won 55.65 percent of the vote and was sworn in on December 22, 2019, at a ceremony at the Ballard Centennial Bell Tower.[8][9]
Strauss is the chair of the Land Use and Neighborhoods Committee.[10]

Well, I'm not sure what to make of this document (and not done reading), but this jumped out (mostly bc I don't understand it even if I understand the sentence)
Multiple people (Ed Milibrand, PPS Rory O'Donnell, Joan Ruddock, and Mike O'Brien) fall under this entry: "Develop relationship, providing intelligence support to key events and demonstrating how Sigint makes a difference in the work of the international energy and climate change teams"
Signals Intellience for energy sector not so surprising, bu Sigint for climate change teams in relation to this…just struck me as a little weird.

6 doses of Naloxone, a life-saving antidote to opiate overdose were administered and 12 adults were transported to Enloe Hospital with symptoms indicative of fentanyl overdose.
One adult was pronounced dead at the scene, but Chico police are not releasing any more details about the death at this time.
Two officers were also transported to the hospital after they began feeling possible effects of fentanyl from being in the house. They were treated and released later in the day.
The residence is now being treated as a hazmat site due to the possible presence of fentanyl. According to Chico Fire Chief Standridge, every ambulance in Chico was called to the scene to help treat the victims.
Four of the adults transported to the hospital remain in critical condition, eight others remain in the hospital as well.

Seattle City Council Candidate Drops From Race Following Vile Racist Threats from the Far Left to His Wife and Children
Following the tradition of threats of violence and harassment toward those whom they disagree with, far left activists in Seattle have forced a city council candidate to drop out of the race, just three weeks into his campaign.
Christopher Rufo promised to challenge the status quo in Seattle, which has become a beacon of misery. The city experiencing an epidemic of homelessness, skyrocketing housing costs, tons of new taxes, and rising crime rates. So Rufo filed to run for city council for the 2019 elections. Cue the leftist crybullies, who began to threaten Rufo, along with his wife and family.
My Northwest reports:
Seattle City Council members have been focused on making a national presence for themselves instead of actually governing the city and focusing on what the city needs. You've got tent cities decorating what was once the Emerald City. You've got people who haven't been to Seattle for awhile commenting on how unpleasant it is, how violent it is, how aggressive it is, and how ugly it is.
So we've got a new crop of candidates saying that this is a failure of government, and promising to give people an alternative to the socialist viewpoints and programs of Seattle politicians.
Here's the problem with wanting to stop the ideological divide in Seattle - anybody who gives a hint of being tolerant toward a conservative base is instantly frowned upon in some circles in this city. In fact, when Rufo first made the announcement that he was running, someone on Facebook commented that he seemed like a nice guy, but had been at an event in town thrown by a conservative group, which automatically made him suspicious. Does attendance at a conservative event now disqualify you? What if you attended an event of a conservative you disagreed with just to hear what they had to say?
But anyway, Christopher Rufo said that he wanted a new way of doing business, a new method - and now he's already out. On Wednesday, he sent an email out to members of his campaign saying that he's got to leave. It's not because he wants to leave; it's because of the "tolerant" atmosphere in Seattle.
Rufo released a statement to his supporters:
"I had hoped that this would be a campaign of ideas, but I quickly discovered that the activists in this city have no interest in ideas. Since the campaign launch, they have harassed and threatened my family nonstop. I was prepared to take the heat, but unfortunately, they have focused their hatred on my wife and children. They've made vile racist attacks against my wife, attempted to get her fired from Microsoft, and threatened sexual violence. They have even posted hateful messages to my 8-year-old son's school Facebook page. I know that as the race progresses, the activists will ratchet up their hate-machine and these attacks will intensify significantly."
Antifa supporting The Stranger adds:
A documentary filmmaker who has worked for PBS, Rufo had recently announced his candidacy for Seattle City Council's 6th District, currently held by Mike O'Brien, and while the election was many months away, he'd already gotten some constituent interest and media attention.
"I started getting dozens and then hundreds of messages from people saying, 'This is exciting. What are you doing? What's your platform? What do you want to see change?'" Rufo said. "A business owner just messaged me and said 'We're getting hammered because of how we're handling homelessness.' Someone reached out and said, 'Someone came at me with an axe in the middle of Ballard yesterday.' Victims of violent crimes have said, 'What can we do? We feel like we don't have a voice. No one cares about us.'"
Rufo hoped to be that voice. When I asked what he would do differently that the current city council, he offered to send me his white paper on effective ways to combat homelessness. Socially liberal and fiscally conservative, Rufo calls himself a centrist, and if elected to city council, he hopes to counter what he called the "activist class."

Activist attorney who supports Palestinian terrorists tapped to head Seattle police oversight board
Posted by: Gregory Hoyt
SEATTLE, WA- After Portland, Seattle has served as ground zero for the wackiness that is the far left. The latest news out of Seattle may have moved that city up to the front of the pack. According to the Post Millennial, the new head of police oversight in metropolitan King County may be anti-cop but he's definitely pro-Palestinian terrorist.
The Metropolitan King County Council recently appointed a man named Tamer Abouzeid, a Chicago lawyer as the director of the shiny new Offices of Law Enforcement Oversight (OLEO).
As part of his new duties, Abouzeid will act as an adviser on issues such as police reform, according to an article in the Seattle Times. He is expected to begin his new role on Sept. 20, 2021.
"I am excited about my appointment as director of OLEO and even more excited about the direction in which the King County Council is moving when it comes to public safety," Abouzeid said in an email.
"I look forward to working with the Council, with OLEO's amazing staff, with [the King County Sheriff's Office], and most of all, with the richly diverse communities that call King County home."
Fair enough. However a close examination of Abouzeid's history shows that he previously served as the staff attorney for the anti-Semitic, anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) since August of last year.
At one point in time, CAIR had demanded a speaker be canceled from CPAC, alleging what they called his anti-Muslim positions.
What's more, CAIR has been closely linked to the terrorist organization Hamas, and the current executive director of CAIR has openly called for overthrowing the US government.
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) defines CAIR as a:
"Washington, D.C.-based non-profit organization with offices around the country," with a mission "to enhance understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding."
Continuing, however it says:
"CAIR's stated commitment to 'justice and mutual understanding,' however is undermined by its anti-Israel agenda. CAIR Executive Director Hihad Awad has accused Israel supporters in the U.S. of promoting 'a culture of hostility towards Islam' and CAIR chapters continue to partner with various anti-Israel groups that seek to isolate and demonize the Jewish State."
"CAIR's anti-Israel agenda dates back to its founding by leaders of the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), a Hamas affiliated anti-Semitic propaganda organization. While CAIR has denounced specific acts of terrorism in the U.S. and broad, for many years it refused to unequivocally condemn Palestinian terror organizations and Hezbollah by name, which the U.S. and international community have condemned and isolated."
The ADL noted that:
"CAIR has supported and advocated for Rasmea Odeh, who was convicted by an Israeli court in 1970 for her role in a 1969 bombing of a supermarket that killed two Israeli students, and who was later released as part of a prisoner exchange."
According to the Post Millennial piece, much of Abouzeid's social media has been "scrubbed," aka "cleaned up. However internet archives show that he has supported the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divest and Sanction (BDS) movement against Israel and wrote a since-deleted letter to the Chicago Tribune which compared Israelis to Hamas terrorists.
ADL notes that CAIR is "closely connected to American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), the leading organization providing anti-Zionist training and education to students and Muslim community organizations around the country."
Abouzeid isn't the only radical supported by King County Council Chair Claudia Balducci. She apparently also supported a candidate for King County Council, Ubax Gardheere, who only threatened to blow up a bus filled with school children in 2010.
In that incident, Gardheere, in exclusive footage obtained by the Post Millennial threatened school children, claiming she may have had a gun or a bomb, and then actually calling them "cowards" as they ran in fear for their lives.
On Jan. 12, 2010, Gardheere boarded a Highline School District bus at it was starting its morning route to Chinook Middle School. She tells the bus driver not to leave, calling it a "matter of national security." The driver then notified the police.
The driver then asks here if something happened to one of the kids, to which she replied that "if something happens it's going to happen to you."
The clearly unhinged Gardheere then tells the students she is wearing loose clothing and may be in possession of a bomb or a gun. Police finally arrive and arrest her, while students flee, while Gardheere calls them "cowards."
A detective with King County said Gardheere had told the arresting officer she was "prepared to die." No weapons were found, and she was able to plead the charges down to a misdemeanor prior to trial.
That hasn't stopped Democrats from supporting her candidacy. Democrat state senator Rebecca Saldana noted in her endorsement of Gardheere," I will follow Ubax anywhere. Another Democrat, former radical Seattle City Council Member Mike O'Brien called her "an amazing leader." A number of other prominent area Democrats also supported the unhinged radical.
Not surprisingly, her candidacy is also supported by the local chapter of the far-left Service Employees International Union (SEIU).
Gardheere claimed in an interview with Seattle Weekly that she had been hospitalized for a mental illness and that her condition had gone downhill after visiting in-laws in Dubai on her way to Somalia in 2008. Somalia? Ah yes, home of another anti-American radical, Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar (D).
Gardheere tried to justify terrorizing school children by claiming she had been "criminalized" for mental illness in an interview with the South Seattle Emerald. She claimed that she was undergoing "postpartum depression" which led to a mental breakdown.
That flies in the face of not only court documents and police reports of the school bus incident, but also her own earlier statements to The Seattle Weekly.
"I'm thinking in my head, 'what can I say or do that will get you taken to jail instead of a mental institute?"
Just another unhinged radical in a state full of them.
