Getting out front, to shape the "Conspiracy Theory" angle. Red Cross.
Anti-vaxxers are refusing blood transfusions from vaccinated donors because they believe they're 'tainted,' report says
Some patients who are skeptical of the coronavirus jab are refusing life-saving blood transfusions from vaccinated donors, according to a report by The Daily Beast.
The American Red Cross said that their officials have had to field questions in recent weeks about whether vaccinated blood could be "tainted" with components from the COVID-19 injections, according to spokesperson Emily Osment.
Doctors have had to explain that it is safe to receive a blood donation from a vaccinated person.
"While the antibodies that are produced by the stimulated immune system in response to vaccination are found throughout the bloodstream, the actual vaccine components are not," Jessa Merrill, the Red Cross director of biomedical communications, told The Daily Beast.
Other blood centers across the country are reporting similar conversations with patients.
Dr. Louis Katz, chief medical officer for ImpactLife, a blood center in Iowa, said he's had to tell "a small handful" of patients that it is not possible to give them blood from unvaccinated donors.
Dr. Geeta Paranjape, a medical director at Carter BloodCare in Bedford, Texas, also had to intervene after a father of a boy who was scheduled to have surgery had asked whether his son could get blood from unvaccinated donors.
"A lot of people think there's some kind of microchip or they're going to be cloned," Paranjape said, according to The Daily Beast.
Up to 70% of the country's blood supply is now coming from donors who have either already received the vaccine or have had COVID-19, experts said.
Dr. Michael Busch, director of the Vitalant Research Institute, who is monitoring antibody levels in samples from the US blood supply, told the Beast: "Less than 10% of the blood we collect does not have antibodies."
On top of this, blood centers don't collect data about whether blood donors have been infected with or are vaccinated against COVID-19.
Donors are asked to wait either seven or 28 days from their vaccination before donating as a precautionary measure so that side effects from vaccination are not confused with post-donation illness, Reuters reported.

Q Research General #7790: Bigger Than You Can Imagine Edition
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Michael Busch, a champion of the Chesapeake Bay and progressive causes during his record-tenure as Maryland's Democratic House speaker, battled for the environment up until the end of his life. He died Sunday at age 72.
His environmental policies were especially high-profile in his final days as he sponsored a bill to permanently protect five oyster sanctuaries under Maryland law. The measure drew a veto from Gov. Larry Hogan, but the House overrode the veto Friday, and the Senate was expected to vote on an override Monday - the last day of the legislative session.
Bush died after developing pneumonia arising from a follow-up procedure to a 2017 liver transplant after being diagnosed with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, a liver disease. He also had heart bypass surgery in September, after experiencing shortness of breath. Chief of staff Alexandra Hughes said Busch died surrounded by loved ones.

Calls growing for Maryland lawmaker to resign over slur
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Maryland political leaders from both parties and civil rights groups made growing calls for the resignation of a Democratic state lawmaker on Wednesday, after she used a racial slur for African-Americans at an after-hours gathering.
The chairs of the Maryland Democratic Party and the Maryland Republican Party, as well as Gov. Larry Hogan and the Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland called on Del. Mary Ann Lisanti to resign, a day after she issued a public apology for making the comment last month in reference to Prince George's County, which is majority black.
"African-Americans comprise approximately a third of the voters in Lisanti's district and they deserve to be represented by a person who is considerate of their views, a champion of their issues, respectful and appreciative of diverse people, and dedicated to cultivating an inclusive economy and democracy," said Maya Rockeymoore Cummings, who chairs the Maryland Democratic Party.
Hogan, a Republican, tweeted that "the language of racism and hate has no place on our public discourse." Dirk Haire, the chairman of the Maryland Republican Party, called for her immediate resignation.
"Any public official who engages in this reprehensible conduct should do the right thing and step down," Hogan wrote.
Lisanti, 51, apologized to lawmakers and released a statement Tuesday, saying she was "sickened" she used the word several weeks ago. She also said she agreed to participate in sensitivity training.
"I am sorry for the hurt I have caused and will do everything I can to help heal that pain and regain the trust of my colleagues and constituents," Lisanti said.
The Legislative Black Caucus said the apology was inadequate and called for her resignation Wednesday.
"It is clear that you are unsuited to continue as a member of the Maryland General Assembly," Del. Darryl Barnes, the caucus chairman, wrote to the delegate. "The use of a racially-charged term is unacceptable and will not be tolerated."
House Speaker Michael Busch stripped Lisanti of her chairmanship of a legislative subcommittee on Tuesday as a result of the comment.
The Washington Post was first to report Monday that Lisanti allegedly used the slur last month. She told the newspaper she didn't recall using the word on the occasion. Asked whether she had ever used the slur, the Post reported that she said: "I'm sure I have … I'm sure everyone has used it."
Dana Shelley, executive director of the American Civil Liberties of Maryland, called for Lisanti's resignation as well, saying "we should never accept blatant racism from anyone, much less our elected leaders."
The Council on American-Islamic Relations, the nation's largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, also condemned the racial slur and called on Lisanti to resign.
Other Democrats who have urged Lisanti to resign include U.S. Sen. Chris Van Hollen and U.S. Rep. Anthony Brown, whose district includes parts of Prince George's County.
"In 2019, we should not have to explain the seriousness of using this epithet," Brown, the state's former lieutenant governor, said in a statement Wednesday. "This hateful word was, and is still callously used in an effort to dehumanize black Americans."
The outrage against the delegate's comment is happening as state government in neighboring Virginia has been embroiled in scandal after Gov. Ralph Northam and Attorney General Mark Herring, both Democrats, have acknowledged they wore blackface in the 1980s. They have resisted calls to resign.

TAINTED BLOOD: 80% of the blood supply contaminated with spike proteins from mRNA jabs, blood banks accidentally admit
Politicians in the state of Montana are pushing a new bill that would make it a crime for those who have been "vaccinated" for the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) to donate blood. Citing contamination issues, Rep. Greg Kmetz (R-Miles City), the sponsor behind House Bill 645, wants to make it a misdemeanor with a $500 fine for vaccinated donors to contribute their spike protein-laden blood to the donation pool. HB 645 would also ban people who have had a diagnosis of "long covid," medically defined as "postacute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 due to chronic 27 SARS-CoV-2 viral infection," from donating blood in Montana. "Montana's blood supply could be cut by up to 80%, leading to adverse patient outcomes including unnecessary and unconscionable death," said Cliff Numark, senior vice president of the blood collection nonprofit Vitalant, about the potential impact of the legislation. Most blood banks are already struggling to keep up with demand, and an 80 percent reduction in available supply in the event that HB 645 passes would only make matters worse. (Related: Biden continues to push Americans to take endless "booster" injections so their blood spike protein levels remain as high as possible.)
Montana doesn't want to give people tainted blood transfusions
Numark's admission about the 80 percent reduction in available clean blood is based on statistics out of Montana showing that four out of five residents have received at least one injection of a covid "vaccine" since the initial rollout of Operation Warp Speed. Most Montanans, in other words, have tainted blood and would no longer be allowed to share that tainted blood with patients in need. The same is true in other states where uptake of the jabs was high. Kmetz's new legislation builds upon House Bill 702 from last session. That bill outlawed discrimination on the basis of vaccination status, though a portion of it was struck down in December as unconstitutional. Other proponents of HB 645 include Rep. Lola Sheldon-Galloway, vice chairwoman of the House Human Services Committee. Sheldon-Galloway's brother is a mortician who told her that covid injections cause issues with blood flow. "I'm one of many who believe in the God given right of medical freedom, which is having access to genetically unmodified blood during a time of need," said Jo Vilhauer, a resident of Miles City who supports HB 645. "This is a vital part of health autonomy." According to Dr. Michael Busch, director of the Vitalant Research Institute, the true percentage of tainted blood in the United States is closer to 90 percent than it is to 80 percent, meaning as little as only one in 10 donors have clean, safe blood. This is a serious problem because those in need of a blood transfusion will have to wait a lot longer for it - if they are ever able to receive one at all, now that most of the American blood supply is loaded with toxic spike proteins and other jab ingredients. One problem with HB 645 is that there is no way to test blood samples for spike proteins or any other evidence of covid jab contamination. It is thus a trust-based system that is impractical at best. Rep. Jodee Etchart (R-Billings), who requested the bill, asked Kmetz to consider establishing two different blood banks: one for vaccinated blood and another for unvaccinated blood. Kmetz says constituents are opposed to that idea. "We are not going to consider that," Kmetz said. "The way it appears, no one will qualify, and this bill will go down so fast it isn't even worth bringing," Etchart responded about the unlikelihood that HB 645 will pass.
