FBI/DOJ Watch List:
Bruce Ohr is a former Associate Deputy Attorney General. Ohr was demoted twice. Stripped of Associate Deputy Attorney General title on December 6, 2017. Removed as head of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force January 8, 2018. Unofficial liaison between Fusion GPS and FBI/DOJ. Wife - Nellie Ohr - worked at Fusion. Long-standing ties to both Christopher Steele and Glenn Simpson/Fusion GPS. Simpson and Bruce & Nellie Ohr have known each other since at least 2010. Ohr has been described as a long-time friend of Steele with a relationship going back to at least 2006 (includes Ohr's wife Nellie). Ohr texted and emailed extensively with Steele beginning in January 2016 (likely started earlier). See here, here and here. Oleg Deripaska was discussed in emails between Ohr and Steele. Ohr appears to have a significant role in Dossier creation - see here and here.
David Bowditch (FBI) - Replaced Andrew McCabe as Acting Deputy FBI Director. Bowditch's name is featured in emails and Strzok texts.
Trisha Anderson (DOJ) - adviser in the Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel, was previously an attorney at Attorney General Eric Holder's former firm, Covington & Burling. Attended two April 25, 2016 White House meetings with FBI Counsel James Baker and several DOJ FISA lawyers - Tashina Guahar, Christopher Hardee, Brad Wiegmann. Anderson's name appears in Strzok/Page texts.

Dana Boente (DOJ/FBI) - FBI General Counsel - Appointed on January 23, 2018 - replacing James Baker who was demoted and reassigned. Acting Head of DOJ's National Security Division until January 23, 2018 and the US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. Replaced Mary McCord in NSD Role. Was briefly Acting Deputy Attorney General until Rosenstein appointed.
Edward O'Callaghan (DOJ) - became Acting Assistant Attorney General and Acting Head of DOJ's National Security Division on January 27, 2018, replacing Dana Boente.
Jonathan Moffa (FBI) - Copied on Comey's Draft Statement exonerating Clinton of Email Scandal. Mentioned in Strzok/Page texts. Surprisingly hard to find any information on Moffa.
Michael Gaeta (FBI) - Ran FBI's Eurasian organized crime unit in New York. Has known Steele previously. Led the 2013 FBI investigation of Russian mafia boss, Alimzhan Tokhtakhounov. For two years ending in 2013, the FBI had a court-approved warrant to eavesdrop on Tokhtakhounov's money-laundering network that operated out of unit 63A in Trump Tower. Gaeta was the FBI Agent sent to London to meet with Christopher Steele and obtain first copy of Dossier. Gaeta's trip approved by State's Victoria Nuland. Gaeta may have given copy of Dossier to Nuland before anyone else.
Joe Pientka - FBI Agent - Counterintelligence Division. Pientka potentially identified by Grassley as second FBI Agent (Strzok the other) present at Flynn Interview.
George Toscas - (DOJ) - Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the National Security Division. Toscas contacted by NY Prosecutors (possibly Preet Bharara) about Weiner investigation re: HRC/Huma emails on Weiner computer. Toscas contacts FBI, forcing McCabe to tell Comey of emails.

His experiences in a variety of roles throughout the Department will be invaluable as we work to protect our national security, reduce violent crime, and promote the rule of law," said Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein. "I also want to thank Robert Hur for serving as the Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General. His counsel was invaluable over the past ten months and I look forward to seeing him thrive as the United States Attorney for the District of Maryland."
Prior to his appointment as Acting Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General, O'Callaghan most recently served as Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the National Security Division, where he assisted the Assistant Attorney General in the administration of all units and components in the National Security Division, most notably in the Counterterrorism Section, the Counterintelligence and Export Control Section, the Office of Intelligence, the Office of Law & Policy, the Foreign Investment Review Staff, and the Office of Justice for the Victims of Overseas Terrorism. While awaiting the confirmation of Assistant Attorney General John Demers, O'Callaghan served as Acting Assistant Attorney General for the National Security Division.
Before rejoining the Department of Justice in 2017, O'Callaghan was a partner at an international law firm. O'Callaghan specialized in defending financial institutions, public companies, asset management firms, and individuals in international and domestic regulatory investigations and criminal prosecutions. These cases involved securities fraud, bank fraud, money laundering, RICO, and corruption, among other things.
O'Callaghan previously served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 1999 to 2008. He was also Co-Chief of the Terrorism & National Security Unit from 2005 to 2008. As an Assistant U.S. Attorney, O'Callaghan was the lead prosecutor on several important cases, including the Department of Justice's international fraud investigation and prosecutions in relation to corruption in the United Nations Oil-for-Food Program, RICO prosecutions of crime families, and numerous bank and securities fraud cases. He received the U.S. Attorney General's Award for Distinguished Service in 2008, and the Director's Award for Superior Performance as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in 2000.
After earning his J.D. from NYU Law School in 1994, O'Callaghan began his career as a clerk to the Honorable Kevin Thomas Duffy of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Who Was the Bearded Man at the Barr Press Conference?
At a Thursday morning press conference on the Mueller report's impending release, Attorney General William Barr offered an effusive absolution of President Donald Trump. The entire exercise felt more like public relations than fair-minded legal analysis, and Barr's conclusions will likely contribute to existing perceptions that the Department of Justice is essentially working for Trump. But Barr didn't work alone, and as public scrutiny inevitably fixes on him in the aftermath of today's events, he may share the hot seat with the two individuals who joined him for Thursday's briefing. One, Rod Rosenstein, is somewhat familiar to the public as the department's deputy attorney general. His bearded neighbor is not as well known. He's Edward O'Callaghan, a former assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, who joined the Department of Justice earlier this month as a principal associate deputy attorney general.
O'Callaghan's career reveals a firm commitment to the Republican Party. As Newsweek reported, O'Callaghan previously worked for the 2008 presidential campaign of the late Senator John McCain. In that capacity, he traveled to Alaska to intervene in a state investigation into Sarah Palin, then the state's governor and McCain's running mate. Palin faced an ethics probe into her suspicious termination of the state's Department of Public Safety Commissioner, Walt Monegan; Monegan had reportedly refused to fire a state trooper who happened to be the ex-husband of Palin's sister. According to Newsweek, O'Callaghan worked with Palin aide Meghan Stapleton to try to defuse the investigation.
"Stapleton and this guy did almost daily press conferences to discredit the investigation," Hollis French, an Alaska legislator, told Newsweek. "She was the face Alaskans would recognize. Others would have no idea who this attorney was standing next to her." Les Gara, a serving Democratic state legislator, told the magazine that O'Callaghan and Stapleton made the investigation "look like a Democratic attack against Palin." Sounds familiar!

Don't forget this anons.
If confirmed by the Republican-led Senate, Barr could be in place at the Justice Department by February.
Rosenstein is expected to leave his position soon after that
though he is not being forced out, said a person familiar with the plans who was not authorized to discuss them on the record and spoke on condition of anonymity to The Associated Press.
The departure is not surprising given that Rosenstein has been deputy for almost two years. It is common for new attorneys general to have their own deputies and Barr has told people close to him that he wanted his own No. 2.
It was unclear who might replace Rosenstein, though Barr has some ideas for a selection, Graham said, without elaborating. The deputy position requires Senate confirmation. It was also not immediately clear whether Rosenstein's top deputy, Edward O'Callaghan, who has a prominent role overseeing Mueller's investigation, might remain in his role.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has tapped Edward O'Callaghan, a widely respected veteran prosecutor, as Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General, a post that is among the most important at the Department of Justice. The PADAG, as the position is known within DoJ, is charged with wide-ranging responsibilities including oversight of investigations and Department operations.
O'Callaghan is assuming a post previously held by FBI Director Christopher Wray and Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland among others. The Russia investigation has made it even more crucial now.
The PADAG also serves as "a consigliere" to the deputy attorney general, Matthew Axelrod, who held the position under Rosenstein's predecessor Sally Yates, told CNN. "[S]omeone to discuss the most sensitive issues with, to give you sound advice, and to ensure your decisions get implemented." It is in this part of the job that O'Callaghan will be especially important.
Rosenstein, who is responsible for overseeing Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation and potential coordination between President Trump's campaign and Moscow related to Kremlin meddling in the 2016 election, may prove to be among the most consequential deputy attorney generals to ever hold the role. Ed O'Callaghan's experience with corruption and counterintelligence prosecutions will be key to helping Rosenstein navigate the tricky issues that the Russia probe will raise.

Rosenstein to Meet Trump Thursday Amid Chaos Over Resignation
MSM are trying to push their agenda by saying RR is resigning because Trump is getting to fire him.
Per a source close to Rosenstein: "He's expecting to be fired," so he plans to step down.
WSJ is now reporting that Rosenstein hasn't tendered his resignation - at least not yet. "The situation is still fluid," the paper said.
Update 3: The White House has finally weighed in on the Rosenstein "is he in or out" controversy. Sarah Huckabee Sanders has said that Rosenstein will meet with Trump on Thursday.
"At the request of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, he and President Trump had an extended conversation to discuss the recent news stories," White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said. "Because the President is at the United Nations General Assembly and has a full schedule with leaders from around the world, they will meet on Thursday when the President returns to Washington, DC."
White House: Rod Rosenstein Not Fired, Will Meet with President Trump on Thursday
POTUS will not have to fire him, doesn't want him or Mueller fired, wants them both right where they are for now, otherwise they both would've already been gone. He, [RR], will resign as the DECLAS will force him to resign. He cannot oversee an investigation that he will be a key witness in, this would be a blatant conflict of interest. Also if he remains employed at DOJ he can be forced to testify under oath and penalty of law if perjury is committed and they can't have that either. Q-uite a pickel they've created for themselves. "we have it all" Q. Trust the plan.

Trump demands 'total transparency' on FBI 'spygate' ahead of Thursday meeting
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/white-house/trump-demands-total-transparency-on-fbi-spygate-ahead-of-thursday-meeting
President Trump demanded "total transparency" Wednesday ahead of a meeting between top law enforcement officials and congressional Republicans demanding Russia probe documents.
"They'll all be in the room tomorrow. We'll see what happens. I want total transparency," Trump said on the South Lawn of the White House. "You have to have transparency."
Trump, using the term "spygate" to describe the FBI's reported use of an informant on his campaign, directly referenced Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who is supervising special counsel Robert Mueller's probe of possible Trump campaign collusion with Russia.
"What I want from Rod, from the FBI, from everybody, we want transparency. And you know what? I think in their own way, they are obstructionists, but even the Democrats, I really believe on this issue, it supersedes. I think they want transparency, too," he said.
The Justice Department has resisted providing documents to congressional Republicans, warning that outing informants could put lives at risk.
The document-release meeting was scheduled after Trump raged last week about reports of an FBI informant linked to his campaign, suggesting repeatedly that he believed there may have been a "politically motivated" spy on the campaign.
The informant reportedly was Cambridge University professor Stefan Halper, who was not embedded as a spy within the campaign but sought out meetings with Trump campaign advisers Carter Page, George Papadopoulos, and Sam Clovis.
House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., however, has suggested there may be additional informants. The top Democrat on the committee, Rep. Adam Schiff of California, meanwhile, alleged Trump invented the notion of a spy.
On Monday, Trump summoned officials to the White House and tasked chief of staff John Kelly with organizing a meeting between FBI, Justice Department, and spy agency representatives to discuss providing documents to Congress.
Attendees of the Thursday document meeting will include Nunes, House Oversight Committee chairman Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., FBI Director Christopher Wray, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, and Justice Department official Edward O'Callaghan.
The meeting won't have a White House representative, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said Tuesday.
Trump told reporters Tuesday that he hoped that there wasn't a spy on his 2016 campaign and he continued to equivocate Wednesday.
"I hope it's not true but it looks like it is," he said on the South Lawn.
Trump stood by his criticism of investigative tactics used to determine if his campaign colluded with Russia, and attacked former FBI Director James Comey, who he fired last year.
"We now call it spygate. You're calling it spygate. A lot of bad things have happened. I want them to get together, they'll sit in a room and hopefully work it out among themselves," he said.
"We're not undercutting. We're cleaning everything up. This was a terrible situation. What we're doing is we're cleaning everything up," Trump said. "It's so important. What I'm doing is a service to this country, and I did a great service to this country by firing James Comey."
In addition to the meeting on document requests, Rosenstein on Sunday asked that the Justice Department inspector general review Trump's assertion that there may have been politically motivated spying on his campaign. The review expands an ongoing inspector general probe of the FBI's use of an opposition research dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele to obtain a 2016 surveillance order against Page.

McCain's Troopergate Scandal
Palin claims she wants more accountability in Washington. So why is the McCain campaign stonewalling the Troopergate investigation?
SEPTEMBER 24, 2008
*Despite statements to the contrary, the decision by top McCain campaign adviser Steve Schmidt to send a strike force, and the relentless focus on Troopergate by its members, like former Justice Department prosecutor Ed O'Callaghan,
*At the same time, McCain acolytes, led by former New York mayor and presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani, appeared on national television to spin the story that the bipartisan inquiry was a partisan witch hunt.

Press Briefing by Press Secretary Sarah Sanders and Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Ed O'Callaghan
Issued on: January 17, 2018
MR. O'Callaghan: Good afternoon. My name is Ed O'Callaghan, and I am the Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Justice Department's National Security Division.
In my capacity as Principal Deputy, I assist the Acting Assistant Attorney General in the supervision of the 350 dedicated investigators and prosecutors who carry out the Department's highest priority: protecting the United States from threats to our national security.
I've been with the National Security Division since November of last year. Previously, from 1999 to 2008, I was an assistant United States attorney in the Southern District of New York. From 2005 to 2008, I was co-chief of the Terrorism and National Security Unit in the Southern District of New York. And some of the cases I worked on, of course, during that time included the investigation into the 9/11 attacks that occurred while I was an assistant United States attorney in the Organized Crime and Terrorism Unit of the Southern District of New York.
